The place was a maze of shadows and whispers, a place where the air was thick with the scent of fear and desperation. It was a hidden world beneath the city, a labyrinth of cells and chambers where his kind thrived in secrecy, feeding off the lost and the damned. Luther wrinkled his nose as he stepped into the holding area, the stench of fear mingled with the acrid odors of urine, ink, and feces assaulting his senses. It was a revolting scent, a constant reminder of the pitiful state of the prisoners. He detested the smell, a putrid mixture that clung to the air and seeped into the walls.

He stepped into the holding area, a large, cavernous room where the prisoners were kept. "Rise and shine, everyone." he announced, his voice slicing through the oppressive atmosphere. The prisoners stirred, their movements slow and defeated, eyes reflecting the hopelessness of their situation. "Today's a special day."

Luther began his slow, deliberate walk through the dimly lit corridor, his eyes sweeping over the faces of the captives. Each cell held a story of broken wills and shattered spirits. Most of the prisoners cowered, their gazes avoiding his as he passed. He could sense their dread, the way their hearts raced with fear, he enjoyed that but he often grew bored of it. He needed something else — he needed potential.

As he moved from cell to cell, he inhaled deeply, sorting through the mingled scents of sweat and despair. Here and there, he caught whiffs of power, diluted and weak, nothing that piqued his interest. He needed someone with more than just fear to offer. Luther's gaze locked onto the blonde. Her blood had a scent, an almost imperceptible hum of defiance. Not broken enough, he thought, that needed changing.

"You," he said, stopping in front of the cell he gestured for one of the guards to open the door. "Come here."

i am so absolutely utterly scared that my insane grandfather in his 80s who runs miles every morning is going to leave me a bird in his will and i am especially scared he is going to leave me a large cockatoo named "captain hook". hook has been trying to make me his child bride since i was like 6 years old and every time i see him again which has only been a couple times with decades in between hook is like "you. it's always been you. ever since you were born i've known we were meant to be" captain hook you are a bird and i am a LESBIAN and i don't WANT an eternal sentinel captain HOOK!!!!!!!
