guys srsly be safe with binding your chest, most binders when bought new come with care instructions specific to the binder and the company but just generally make sure to be careful and if ur currently wearing one just take a moment to reflect and make sure you haven't been wearing it for over about 8 hours (give or take) take it from me, ive nearly broken my ribs while binding and it SUCKS, and while my dysphoria isn't too severe safety should come first, just be aware that binding can go wrong sometime and PLEASE BUY FROM A REPUTABLE COMPANY because if a binder isn't made right it can potentially be more dangerous than a well made binder

My second bind had to be this Robb Stark centric masterpiece that has lived rent free in my brain since December 2023. I wanted to get this finished before the year anniversary hit in December.

I love this bind and she is my beloved second born but holy hell I’m glad she is done.

In all honesty, this bind was cursed from the off. Everything that could have gone wrong with this bind went wrong. I had to resew the signatures because wood oil, I made my design slightly too big so adding it to the cover was wonky and I melted parts of the black vinyl adding my silver vinyl to the book cloth to name but a few mistakes. I didn’t dare try to trim her edges, lord knows where I would have ended up.

All that said I’m still proud of her and wanted to share. Done is better than perfect and I hope I look back in a year and see how far I have truly come.

a few shopkeeper edits and custom sprites for the binding of isaac mod "even more shopkeepers"!!!! because there is no better way to show your appreciation for something than to draw it over a corpse that's being hung. as usual in these isaac sprite mods that are just a compilation of things i like, there are a lot of tags so enjoy that i guess!!

man as much as I understand why we bind/tuck and that it's not a bad thing if I could wish one thing upon the world it would be for everyone to get so much more normal about men with boobs and women with bulges (and everyone in between w whatever secondary sex characteristics). bc it sucks. it's uncomfortable and can be super super damaging even if you're using the best methods in the world.

and ofc it sucks from cis society but I think I have even more beef w people in the trans community that push this idea that if you're not binding/tucking you're not Serious about being trans.

At no point is it intrinsically all about just sexual performance or sexual drive, it can be a factor or a small portion but it is not just a large generalization as much as people are trying to make drag performing seem to be.

Drag is an art form. It is a statement. It is a person of beauty and the love and appreciation of fashion and expression!

Angel Dust is the complete opposite of sex workers or drag performers at all! If AD is supposed to resemble the theme of abuse in industry [something she already failed to portray with fizzerolli] and the toll that sex workers and addicts within the industry for that matter, we have no clue how he will act in Hazbin but the sneak peek of him in leather gives me no hope if the implication is that he will purely be centered around valentinos abuse. Considering someone on the team ship's and actively adores the ship that is Angel x Valentino

it's such a shame that we get so little explanation about the actual mechanics of destiny, which is the entire premise of the show, bc it's so juicy. like what power does destiny hold when you rip away milton's lies and centuries of assumptions and traditions. esp bc despite raven signing herself as the evil queen in the real storybook of legends, when the snow white fairytale actually happens in dragon games she's playing one of the seven dwarves and her mother has reprised her role. like how much of that was because of the characters' actions and how much was destiny pulling on old, familiar threads. keeps me up at night.

a lot of this is probably just like, plot holes and writer hot potato but i like making it that deep, that's half of the fun. my personal interpretation is that fate is a wild thing that desires repetition and they developed the system of fairytale legacy bloodlines to keep those repetitions predictable and contained, instead of wreaking havoc whenever and wherever they please. 

which lends itself to some really juicy exploration of how legacy is a duty as much as it is a privilege, and how to be a princess or a witch or a hero or a dragon is to be the same thing in the end: the lamb destiny slaughters on the altar to sate the ever-ravenous narrative. to keep the flock safe. keep the unknown that prowls beyond the beaten path at bay. because if a there is always a mother who will be cruel, or a maiden who will fall into a sleep like death, or a child who will become a bird, isn’t it better to know who, and how, and when? isn’t better if it’s you, who has known your whole life that you must be eaten, be poisoned, be stripped of your humanity, rather than anybody else, who wasn’t raised to see it as an honour instead of a great and terrible injustice?

I’m really lucky my chest dysphoria isn’t bad and only occasionally decides to let itself be known. Even when I’m a guy it barely ever decides to make my life horrible. Very lucky I am, I actually wasn’t aware I had any dysphoria until earlier this year because of how minor it is.

It sucks that I have chest dysphoria.

It sucks even more that because I have sensory issues and chronic pain I can't bind very often.

Often when I go out I'll usually just wear a sports bra and a baggy shirt over it.

trans youth experience is not knowing if wearing two sports bras is safe, and getting conflicting results from google, so only doing that for big public events (short ones) and Extreme Dysphoria days!

Yeah, I was the same especially as the sports bras i wore were definitely too small. If anyone knows whether this is safe or not, please let me know!
