Can you help me out?
Day 2: Trapped together in a snowstorm | "I thought you knew where you were going?!" Stray Kids: Lee Minho/Lee Know x Fem!Reader Warnings/Genre: friends to lovers, light angst, bad humour, smut, oral (m!receiving), uni au i guess? Summary: Minho's always there for you when you need a hand. Word Count: 2,628 AN: can’t believe i’ve never written lee know fanfic before lol. also i write in british english but i can’t stand the look of the word “mum” so that is intentionally american.
Read on AO3
“You want me to drive you four hours to your Mom’s house?” Minho groans, his voice muffled through the phone line. “Yep,” you say confidently. If you pretended nothing was wrong with the idea, maybe there wouldn’t be?
“In this weather?” He says. You force yourself to look up. Snow blanketed every available surface - the train station roof, the tops of cars, the bins. The pavement and road before you were clear but slick with muddy snow and grit salt. The cement absorbed each meagre snowflake that fell atop it. You shake a few from your eyelashes and hum, “Mhm.”
He can't mask his sigh, “On Christmas Eve?”
“I was screwed over by the trains, how was I supposed to know they’d cancel them all just because of some snow? Minho, please! Can you help me out?” You were desperate now. You’d fall to your knees in front of him, in the snow, if he was there in person.
Shuffling around, keys jingling, the chk of a door handle, “I’ll be there in fifteen.”
“Thank you so much!” You let out a breath you didn’t know you had been holding. It turned to steam and lifted itself into the air gracefully, more graceful than your little celebratory jig. Minho hangs up without a word, I should buy him some snacks, at least, you think.
As promised, Minho pulls into the train station within fifteen minutes and you hear the boot unlock with a click. He motions to the back of the car with a lazy hand, making no move to get out the car himself. You grumble to yourself as you dump your heavy suitcase in the back and slam the door a little harder than you should, but when you climb into the passenger seat and greet him, it's with your biggest, toothy smile.
You met him on your first day at university, and the two of you were inseparable ever since. Both of you took the same electives every year, rocked up to every party together, and hung out every day. You’ve called on his help more than you’d care to admit, sometimes just to feel his hand guide yours, or to watch his shirt ride up when he searches the top shelf for you. But he always came. This was your worst grievance by far, though.
“Coffee,” you announce, putting two cups into the holder. “Snacks,” you dangle the bag of crisps and cookies in front of his face before tossing it to the back seat.
“Not only are you using me as your personal chauffeur, but you want to ruin my skin, too?” he tuts.
“Just get to the motorway, I’ll guide you from there,” you pull out your phone and open Maps, but Minho has pulled out, the gritty roads adding a tasteful crunch to the low rumble of the car.
Hour one is spent fighting over the music, complaining about your teachers, and complaining even more about your classmates. Hour two, you feel, is socially acceptable for you to reach into the seat behind you and open up the snacks. “This dude texted me just this morning-” you're cut off by Minho.
“Your flatmate’s ex?” He asks. Far into the infinitely straight motorway, he holds the wheel with just one hand, slouched into his chair a little. He does everything so effortlessly, you can't help but linger on it for a minute. With his eyes fixed on the road, all Minho has to do to be fed is hold out his free hand. Last time you pressed a singular Dorito into it, this time it's a whole chocolate chip cookie. He frowns at your choice, but obliges himself anyway.
Nodding at his question, you leave your directions app to read the text verbatim, “He texted me, ‘I can’t keep this to myself anymore. I broke up with her because I like you more.’” You giggle to yourself as you read - you and your housemate enjoyed poking fun at him together this morning, but you look up to see Minho was not laughing at all. Both hands gripped the wheel tightly, knuckles turning slightly white.
What’s wrong? You wanted to ask, but you just still your laughter and glance out the window. Something turned in your gut, maybe you knew why, but asking him so directly… that risked making it real. “Turn coming up,” Minho’s voice slashes through your thoughts, you scramble to change back to your app.
Mobile Data is Turned Off Turn on mobile data or use Wi-Fi to access data.
No matter, “Its the second lane,” you say, certain in your memory. I’ll get my signal back in a moment.
Hour three: you had guessed two more turnings, but you recognised neither. Your hometown was, apparently, still a little further, so you were looking out for the town before it on the signs that flashed past, to no avail. Did you remember wrong earlier? You look down at your phone but, still, no signal.
The car was silent from your conversation earlier, but if Minho was still brooding, you were too panicked to notice. Another sign wooshes past, this one informing you of a petrol station a few miles away.
“Can we stop there?” You point it out to Minho.
He nods, “You... you okay?”
Elbow leaning against the car window sill, head in your hands, you shake your head. It was no use lying to him. Only when the car rolled to a stop did you show your face to him. Your vision was blurred with tears that were yet to fall, but you could see him jolt back a little, as if the sight scared him.
“Why are you crying?” He undid his seatbelt and reached forward, using his thumb to wipe one eye clear. A tender move he only reserved for you in dire moments. You run your sleeve across the other eye and mumble, “I think you know why.”
Minho purses his lips together, searching your eyes for a clue, “I really don’t, to be honest.”
“It begins with an ‘L’?” The frustration was a knot in your stomach, balling up tighter and tighter. How was he not getting it? “Like the ‘L’ word?” A poor choice of words on your part, but you were out with it now.
“...Lesbians?” he sits up straight, his eyebrows knitted together. God, you thought, is he trying to be funny, or is he just clueless?
“Lost. Minho,” you say with snark, your eyes turn away from him for a moment in disbelief, “We’re lost!”
Now he seemed to get it, “I thought you knew where you were going?!” his voice peaks. A little too loud.
The tears are seeping into your eyes once more. You want to say something - an excuse, an apology - but nothing comes out your stupid mouth. Instead, you watch yourself open the car door, practically rolling out of your seat before throwing the door back against the car. Then you’re walking towards the little petrol shop lighting up the dark sky. Since when had the sun set? What time even was it? You dreaded the answer.
Minho catches up to you in an instant, planting himself in front of you. The light from behind illuminated the outline of him; he was glowing. Glowing, like an angel who came to save you. He always came to save you, and yet you never did him any favours. Avoiding his eyes, you take one step to the side and try to walk around him. He blocks you again, this time with a hand on your shoulder.
“Can you just slow down and talk to me for a second?” Minho asks. “You always storm off when you’re upset and do something stupid.”
“I’m trying to buy a map,” you spit.
He sighs, then he’s winding his arms around your shoulders and pulling you in. You stumble forward, head against his chest and dizzy from his cologne. It’s far from the first time the two of you have hugged; goodbye hugs and ‘friendly’ movie cuddles and hugs when you’re feeling down. But it was strange this time. Minho committed himself to driving four - no, eight - hours through snow for you, you had just extended that time by getting lost, and now he was the one comforting you. You finally wrap your arms around his back.
“Why’d you bother driving out for me?” You say into his shoulder.
“Because you asked.” He pulls away, one corner of his mouth was pulled upwards into a smile. Then he turns on his heel, “Go sit in the car, I’ll get the map.”
Thanks to that conveniently placed station, and Minho’s suspiciously fast driving, you were waylaid for only an hour. He did slow down, eventually, when you were back on track, for the increased snow covering the windshield and sticking to the road started to scare you a little.
“I hope it clears before you have to drive home,” you chew at your lip, but the snow showed no sign of letting up. When he pulls into your Mom’s driveway, the sky was pitch black. You wouldn’t have noticed it was there save for the snowflakes that fell from it in torrents now. Minho was adamant not to leave his heated car, but you drag him through the front door anyway. “At least stay for a coffee,” you say.
“Goodness,” a familiar voice rings from the kitchen, and your mother soon totters over to the front door, “I was about to ring you my dear- Oh, who’s this?”
“Mom, Minho. Minho, my Mom,” you sputter, realising how woefully unprepared you were for this interaction.
“Hi, Miss,” Minho says awkwardly, his lips pressed together in a thin line.
“You didn’t mention a boyfriend to me, dear, or did it slip my mind?” she pauses, “No, I would surely remember such a thing-”
Both of you cut her off in unison, “Oh, he’s not-” “Uh, I’m not-” You glare at him and he shrinks back into himself. “My train got cancelled so he drove me here,” you explain, “he was about to leave.”
“If he drove you all this way, then he must stay!” your mother beckons the two of you further into the room with wild hand gestures, “I won’t let him drive home so late, and in this weather too!”
“It’s alright, uh, Miss, I don’t mind,” Minho stumbles. What was he supposed to say? Your mother wasn’t listening. “I’ve plenty of food - too much! And her bed is big enough for the two of you–”
You didn’t hear anything else she had to say after that for she was running back into the kitchen, chatting to no one in particular. Minho turned to you, wide-eyed and lips twisted in an exasperated smile. Snow was still melting into his hair from your brief adventure outside. You reach up and pick one from his hair, watching it sink into your skin, “Sorry, looks like you’re staying here,” you say, the corners of your mouth heaving a smile onto your face.
When your mother finished feeding the both of you and talked Minho to exhaustion, she ushered you upstairs to get some sleep. You looked at the double bed in your room, still in the same place as it was when you first moved to uni. It was like nothing changed, except it had; Minho was in the room with you now. Clambering under the covers, you refuse to look back at him. The bed shifts and bounces a little when he slides under the sheets next to you.
You shared a bed with him many times before, for cheap hotel rooms and unplanned sleepovers, of course it didn’t matter this time. But it did. He’s next to you in your childhood bed, he’s met your mother, and it’s Christmas. You huff and submerge yourself further under the covers, making a point to face away from him. Minho turns off the lamp, rustles around behind you for a moment, then silence falls around you. Silence weaves its way between his steady breaths and your whirling thoughts.
Hours felt like minutes, staring at nothing behind your closed eyelids. You sigh and roll over, hoping Minho had the sense to sleep the opposite way too. He did not. When your head hits the pillow again and you open your eyes out of curiosity, he was staring back at you.
It’s just dark, you think to yourself and blink away the static. But warm streetlights bleed into your room through cracks in your blinds, and you knew you weren’t dreaming. Why is he so weird? Yet you stare back.
“What?” He finally whispers.
Yes, what? You’re drawing blanks, then you can think of only one thing. You absolutely cannot say that, but your mouth is moving anyway, “I really wanna kiss you.”
“Okay,” he blinks. A few rogue strands of hair, freshly washed of snow, fall delicately across his face.
You’re stunned. “...Okay?”
“So?” His lips are parted, inviting you in, deliciously open so that all you need to do to taste him is attack. But you can’t.
This is far from your first rodeo. You’ve always been able to hit on other guys, to pull them closer by their collars, to drag them through your apartment door, to wrap your legs around their waists before you reach the bed. Minho is not other guys. What if you mess it up? Yet another sigh, so far reaching it blows his stray hairs back out of his face, “So, can you help me out?”
Yes. His answer, just like every other time, is yes. But he doesn’t say it; he snakes his arm around your nape, tugs you closer, and that’s all it takes. Your lips are on his, your body is static, your mind is lost from you. You shut your eyes and allow yourself to melt into him. But then your leg is hooked around his waist. His hands travel from your clothed thighs to rest on your ass. Rolling your hips down onto him, hard, he groans into your lips. The vibrations travelling through you only spur you to move faster.
Shirts, pants, underwear, they’re all on the floor in an instant. Five minutes ago, you did not have the faintest idea you’d end up in this position. You're knelt between his legs. Minho’s hard and looking up at you expectantly. His eyes are mocking you, challenging you. So you take him on. Lips closing around his member, you cast your eyes up as you take in as much of him as you can. He’s already tensed his eyelids shut in pleasure. A devious swish of your tongue, another and another, and his head is lolling backwards.
Minho tangles his fingers through your hair, pushing you down further onto his cock. Obliging, you begin to bob your head up and down, moving faster with each of his grunts, tongue working at him furiously. He tenses, dick throbbing and releasing warmth to your mouth; you ride him through it, his shallow panting a musical backdrop as you watch white cum drip from the corners of your mouth, down his shaft. When you release him, the rest spills onto his toned stomach. A deep inhale, to catch your breath, then you swallow what’s left.
With nothing to focus on now, no high to push him to, you’re suddenly very aware of his eyes on you. With delicate fingers, he traces the outline of your hips to your waist, lingering on your breasts and how your nipples are hard with cold and pleasure.
“Your turn,” he grins, sitting up and pushing you back into the bed before you could even defend yourself, capturing your lips with his once more.

Quite some time ago, I mentioned that a café themed set was on the horizon - here it is now! ☕ Important info and download 💾 below:
About a year ago, I worked on several projects, but many things happened that prevented the release of them. It's here now, so it all worked out in the end :) Some of you may have spotted some of these items in my Target set previews 🧐 bonus points to you. Most of LittleDica's sets are my absolute favorite from TS4, and I'm already working on more. Plan to see more of these and others soon! author's note. bullying lmao ily 😭😭😭 but here you go mother, i hope it meets ur expectations!! it’s a lil short but i hope at least it’s content yk!!!
word count. 712
your fingers were drumming on the strip of your tote bag as you chatted with your friends.
“oh, my bus will be there in five minutes… see you tomorrow, y/n! have a nice weekend!” your friend smiled and waved.
“you too!” you replied and watched them leave. the cold wind gusting made your pc holder move and you wrapped your scarf even more tightly (however that was possible).
briefly after, there was a honk ripping through the street. you turned around and grinned upon seeing your boyfriend’s car. hopping in, you were glad that it’s so warm inside of it. quickly putting your seatbelt on, off he went.
“hi baby, how are you?” changbin chirped, his hand instantly flying to your thigh. you nodded your head, putting your bag on your lap. changbin smiled upon noticing your – quoting – mental support changbin pc “bad day?”
another nod.
“a shitty one even” you grunted, a pout forming on your lips.
“i’m sorry to hear that. wanna talk about it?” your boyfriend asked.
“maybe later…” you sighed
“did you sleep well? hannie told me you sent him reels at like, 3am” changbin scoffed, taking a glance at you. you noticed he was wearing the sweater you gifted him some time ago.
“well… i was studying. and i slept… maybe two? two and a half hours? sorry binnie” you mumbled. he squeezed your leg.
“don’t apologize. you know how i feel about it but if you had to study… can’t say i relate but i remember how our innie pulled some sleepless nights too” the man shook his head, suddenly an idea popping into his head “let’s go home and eat something delicious. is there anything you’re craving?”
“no, i’m not really hungry” you sighed, playing with the pc holder.
“naaah, come on. there must be something, just tell me pretty” he hummed, massaging your thigh.
you frowned, thinking. when you looked at changbin, who just stopped at the red lights, he already know by the look in your eye that you figured what you want to eat.
“cute” he cooed; happy to see that even though you’re tired, a spark in your eye lit up.
once back home with your cravings, you ate them with changbin. he made sure to sneak some jokes, cheering you up. even though you didn’t want to talk about your bad day, he knew the tension in your body went down at least a little bit.
“i’ll do the dishes” he offered and before you could protest, off he went.
“binnie?” you asked, voice quiet. he immediately halted his movements.
“yeah?”
“can you do the dishes later? i kinda wanna… cuddle” you mumbled shyly. he nodded energetically.
“of course, cutie! whatever you want” changbin yelped, causing you to giggle. you went to your bedroom, noticing the mess you left in the morning.
quickly trying to organize it and clean it up, changbin tsked. grabbing you by your sleeve and closing his arms around you, he plopped on the bed. you squeaked, bouncing on it.
“no cleaning. you sleep. i happy” he singsung and pecked your temple, grabbing the blanket.
“binnie, have i ever told you i love you?” you snickered, already relaxing in his hold. or maybe it was the lack of sleep?
“you did, silly. and i love you too” changbin’s big hand squished your cheeks and he placed another kiss on your nose. you pouted in an exaggerated manner “what is it?”
“kisses” you mumbled. chanbin placed a peck on the corner of your lips with a smirk
“but i’m kissing you, baby” he grinned.
“you’re a meanie” you huffed and closed your eyes “goodbye”
“no, wait…” he laughed, the buzzing of his chest pressed against your back making you smile a bit “here you go, a sleepy kiss for my sleepyhead”
he shifted you a bit, his lips finally meeting yours. it was lazy and tender, nothing but loving. you could feel your boyfriend smiling into it, too.
he leaned away and manoeuvred your head so it rested in his chest. then, he pulled a blanket almost over to your nose.
“rest well. see you in you dreams” your boyfriend’s silky voice was all you registered before beginning to finally fall asleep.

Analyzing 35 Portland Row:
Back at it with my set decoration posts, but lets overanalyze 35 Portland Row, shall we?
I love the way most of the house seems untouched, like it was frozen in time. Presumably, Lockwood never really "redesigned" the home from its original state, maybe a couple of changes here and there (which are more noticeable as we move on to other rooms) I say this, because of the contrast between pristine and messy in the areas.
The entryway:
I assume that the perspective pictures were taken as a way to assess how the set was going to look, in perspective 1 you can see the pillows on the bench missing, and in perspective 2 the clothing rack/hanger are completely missing.
On screen, we see that contrast I was talking about, you can see the way the clothes are almost stacked on that clothing rack (we can see George's coat, for example) I regard this as the kids respecting the space, since it is Lockwood's house they, most likely, don't want to trash it with their personal mess (or maybe George is the one that sets the 'mess-boundaries' to lighten the cleaning work).
On the other side of the spectrum we see the neat decorations and respected vases (respected as in, not using them as holders or trash bins) and the well cleaned masks and antiques hanging on the wall.
The Living Room:
This room is the "look how professional and neat we are" room, it is (by far) the cleanest one of them all, here is where they receive people and it is evident that they don't use it much by themselves, I know this because of the alarming lack of books laying around. I promise you, in Portland Row there are books EVERYWHERE.
Proof:
(these are just from the first couple episodes)
The Library:
I would argue that this is the "let's talk" room of the house, because it's the place where all of the information is. This is the room with the most "Lockwood flare", plus it's the perfect place for me to talk more about the messiness contrast.
In the scene where Lucy goes to talk to Lockwood, she has an apple core in her hand and this madwoman sets it ON THE TABLE (outrageous) but she looks for a spot where she wont ruin the table OR the books beside it. THE SELECTIVE MESS, PEOPLE! And Lockwood doesn't care, he just smiles, thankful.
Also there's a piano on the corner. (Hey! Locky, play Piano Man!)
The Kitchen:
Lockwood & Co's kitchen my beloved <3
By far my favorite room of the house, it is so cozy! From the spice rack, to the pot holders, to the kitchen utensils, the DETAILS. I'm in love, I love it.
And of course, the thinking cloth. The kitchen is the heart of Portland Row 35. And the crumbs on the table mean the world to me. LIKE DO YOU GET IT? DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE SIMBOLYSM OF CRUMBS ON THE TABLE?
I love kitchens, and I love set decor. That's all I have to say.
The Rooms:
Last sections of me nerding out about set decor, I promise!
Lockwood's Room:
It's safe to assume that Lockwood doesn't spend much time in his room, so it stays mostly neat. Probably only in use when he's sleeping or getting changed, and most of his time is spent in the library or in the kitchen with the others.
Lucy's Room:
Okay, this room is a set decor work of art. Why? Well, because it is a prime example of a characters personality shining through in a new space.
Not only does it show what it was before (a storage attic) but it also shows what it is now (a personal room) AT THE SAME TIME! You can see the way Lucy organizes everything contrasted with the way it was laid out before.
(look at the shopping bags she was carrying when talking to Kipps beside the bed, CONTINUITY!)
George's Room:
One thing about George is that he is way too excited about The Problem to care about actually cleaning and organizing his own room.
I think that his room is a physical representation of how his brain works. Books on the floor, papers stacked over anything, post it notes on the wall. You can just see the way his brain jumps from one thought to the other by the way his room is laid out!
The set decorator credits: JUDE FARR
So that's it! Im sure i missed a couple of things so if you want to add your observations, please do! And if i made any mistakes or incorrect assumptions I apologize, i am by no means and expert, I just like the subject.

Stargirl
An - omg I feel like I haven’t posted in a year what. Okay so earlier this week I went to a hockey game, and something happened while I was there and I wanted to write a fic about it. And I wanted to do Nate because I love Nate, and we need more Nate fics out there asap. And the song has nothing to do with the fic, it was the song I kept playing while writing this 😭
Paring - Nathan Doe X FemReader
Summary - You go to one of Nate’s hockey games
Warnings - Kissing, NOT PROOFREAD
Requested - Nope
ALSO YALL, I FIRST WROTE THIS IN THE BEGINNING OF OCTOBER SO THERE WILL BE HALLOWEEN THEMED THINGS HERE, SORRY IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO UPLOAD
I hadn’t realize how late I had slept in until I heard my alarm go off more than 30 times, most of which I had just sleep through. I check the time and see it’s a little past 3. Shit. I had so much to do and had it all planned out. I was to clean my house, get a gift for Nate, go grocery shopping, and decorate for fall. I’ll just eat some food while I’m out but right now, I need to clean up my place. I have u til 6:30 to get everything done on my list. Considering Nate’s game starts at 7.
I clean my house, lighting candles and turning on fairy lights I have setup around my house. I take a quick shower and put on my freshly clean clothes. I do a slick back bun, not trying to do anything fancy. I get into my car and make a quick stop at Starbucks to get a drink. I also did an online order for my favorite lunch place in town so it’s ready for pickup when I get there. I pickup my lunch and eat in my car as I drive to target. I put my Starbucks in the cup holder of my cart and push it too the food section.
I grab my list of food and start putting it in my cart. I decided to grab some cookie dough for me and Nate to back after his game. I go over to the floral section and grab a bag of white, blue, and purple pair and place it in my cart. I’m on my way towards check out when I spot the cutest pair of matching pj sets. There was a vampire, pumpkin, and ghost option. They were all so cute but I decided to get the ghost ones. I check out and go home to eat dinner and decorate.
I decided to make something, quick, easy, and delicious. I play my fall playlist as I grab my last year bin full of pumpkins, signs, pillows and blankets. It only takes me around 30 minutes considering I cleaned earlier. I looked at the time, with not much time left I had to get ready. I put the totes back and head to my room. I put on a pair of leggings and his hockey jersey that he gave me. I take out my hair and do two French braids. I take some face paint type makeup I have and write his number on my cheek.
I put on my shoes and grab his flowers and teddy I bought him earlier that week. I grab a blanket so I don’t get cold at the rink. I drive to the rink in only 10 minutes. I head inside and get a ticket. I’m greeted inside by the triplets. They all look over at me and walk my way.
“Finally, we’ve been waiting for like 5 hours” Nick says rolling his eyes
“Nick, we got here 5 minutes ago-“ Matt chimed in
“Oh hush.” Nick says, crossing his arms, clearly annoyed.
“I’m so excited to watch my boyfriend play!” Chris says clapping his hands. Nick, Matt and I slowly turn towards Chris, giving him a confused look.
“Fine, I can’t wait to watch her boyfriend play” Chris says sarcastically but rolling his eyes.
“That’s what I thought.” I say pushing Chris a little bit jokingly. We all walk to the rink, getting a rush of cold air as the door opens. I could feel goosebumps approaching my skin. I wrap the blanket around my shoulders and sit down with the triplets. We sat and waited for the game to start. It only took a couple scrolls on insta before the players came walking out of the locker room and onto the ice to warmups. It wasn’t hard for me to find him, considering I had his number imprinted into my brain. Before I the warmups ended, I went to the snack bar and got myself a water and chips for me and the triplets. I head back just in time for the game to start. We all stand up and start to cheer, like the rest of the crowd. I only had my eye on one player the whole time. Every time he scored a point and I would jump up and down and scream for him. The three looked at me like I was insane but I didn’t care.
The game was over and Nate’s team won! We all wait for Nate outside of the locker room to finish up, but before he comes out I need to use the restroom. I come back not too long and see the brothers talking to a man I wanted to hug the first I saw him on the ice. He noticed me and started walking towards me. I ran up to him and gave him a hug.
“You did great tonight, I’m so proud of you.” I say giving him a peck on the lips.
“And these are for you.” I handed him the flowers and teddy bear, he then looked up at me with a smile that would make my heart melt.
“Thank you so much baby.” He said as he went to the side of me and wrapped his arm around my waist. He turned back and waved to the brothers as he started to walk with me out of the building. I help him load his things into my car, and we get inside the car after.
“So I had a really fun night planned out for us, but if you don’t want to do it, that’s okay and we can do something else.”
“It’s whatever makes you happy my love” I couldn’t help but blush at his words.
“So, my house is all decorated and I had candles going so it smells really good in there, and the house is clean so a bonus! And I was thinking we could make cookies and watch a movie together? And there’s also a surprise with that.” I say almost out of my seat from how happy I was.
“If that’s what you wanna do.” He says smiling back at me.
“Of course it’s what I want to do, but I wanted to know if u wanted to do it.” I say turning on my car, pulling out of the parking lot.
“I’m okay with anything you want to do.” He says looking out the window. I smile as I continue to drive back to my place. I pull into my driveway and get out of my car.
“Let’s take showers first tho.” I say unlocking my front door. He nods as I unlock the door and walk in. We take off our shoes at the front and walk to my room where my shower is.
“I’ll go first, I’ll be quick.” I say as I start to take out my hair. I hop in the shower and wash my face, get out, and wrap myself in a towel. I walk out into my room and too my closet, telling him it’s his turn on my way. He gets off the small couch I have in my room and head into the bathroom. I quickly get dressed into the pajamas I just bought for us. I sit down at my vanity and start doing my night skincare. I hear the shower turn off and with Nate walking out with the towel around his waist. He points at the pair of clothes on my bed.
“What’s this?”
“It’s yours, to wear! Tonight! To match with me!” I say turning around, show I’m in the matching set. He gives me a sigh but walks with it into the bathroom to get changed. I do a little clap of achievement, as I turn back around to finish my skincare. I hear the bathroom door open and see him walk out, giving me a sigh and looking down in disappointment.
“Hey! You look amazing! Don’t give me that I hate this energy, it’s supposed to be fun!” I say putting all my things away and getting up.
“I feel so weird in this.” He says throwing his hands like a baby
“Why? You look so cute!” I say walking towards him.
“Can I just take the shirt off? It feels tight.” He says scratching his neck
“Not yet! I wanna take a picture” I say grabbing my phone out. His arm wraps around my waist as I put the mode to 0.5x and turn on the flash. We smoosh our heads together doing a kissy face as I take the picture. I look at the picture to make sure it was okay then I put my phone down.
“Okay, let go make some cookies” I say kissing his cheek and walking out of my room. He follows close behind me. I grab a pack a Pillsbury cookies from the fridge and preheat the oven.
“How about you put on 6, and I put on 6” I say grabbing a tray from my cabinet.
“Good with me” He says giving me a smile
“Can I take my shirt off now?” He says whining
“Fine, Stop acting like a baby” I say as I start to put on my cookies.
We both finish putting on our cookies and put them in the oven. I walk over to my couch and turn on the tv.
“What would you like to watch?” I say looking up at him.
“I don’t know, you pick.” He says sitting down next to me
“Mhm, Corpse Bride? The Nightmare Before Christmas?” I say leaning back and laying my head on his chest
“Corpse Bride, The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Christmas movie.”
“No it’s not!” I say as I scoff
“It is tho!”
I shake my head and get up to go take the cookies out. I put them on a plate and organize them in a cute way. I bring the plate to the couch along with a blanket.
“Hold the plate while I put the blanket on us.” I say handing him the plate. I sit down, covering our legs and a little bit of my waist. He sets the plate down on the blanket.
“Do you like tonight?” I say putting my head on him again.
“Of course” He says kissing my head. I smile in happiness that I was able to make tonight special.
“I love you” I say lifting my head up.
“I love you more” He says giving me a peck on my lips

Rabbitt's not-so-monstrous oxtober fics.
Not-so-spooky movie night.
Gallzatto x reader
A little halloween shopping here, a little trick-or-treating there. Add some movies, what a perfect day!
A/N: This one's a day early because I'm too busy getting married tomorrow and I dislike queueing posts! Enjoy!!
🎃 🐻 🍬 🎬 🎃
October meant spooky decorations and pumpkin everything.
Little costumes for the girls that you let them pick themselves when you took them shopping.
Every free day you had led to more decorations put up in the house, from little skeleton candle holders to ghost lamps and bat window stickers.
“Mommy I wanna have!” Lily came running up to you with a plush Jack Skellington almost half her size. “Pweeaase?”
Her big, pleading eyes and good behavior today made you give in, telling Rose to go find something as well which had both of the girls run off to the large bin at the end of the aisle that you slowly made your way to, grabbing all kinds of knick knacks and scary themed candies.
You found your girls digging through the plushies like savages, holding up every single one to inspect, giving them a little test huggie with mumbles of disagreement untill Rose emerged from almost toppling over into the bin with a little black and white guy that she cuddled close, happily running to you and dumping it in your hand. “Dis one!”
Upon closer inspection, she had found a Ghostface plush that you almost wanted to get for yourself as well. You caved and took a quick look through the bin yourself and snagged a flannel wearing fuzzy werewolf and sent the kids on their way to the costume rack on a quest for something nice that didn’t give their dads a heart attack.
“Batty!”
You made your way to where the voice came from and saw Lily holding a soft black onesie with wings attached to the arms. You let out a chuckle at her excitement and took it from her hands. “This is cute! But lets look for one in your size, okay?” A quick nod was her answer before zooming off the rack she got it from. “More here!”
Going through the rack to find the right size you swapped the too big one she grabbed for a fitting size before making your way over to your other daughter who was going back and forth between three different sections.
“Hey Rosy, found something?”
She shook her head, not being able to choose. Showing you her three options you she shared her love for each one with a pouty look. You checked each one and quickly removing one from the list already because her size wasn’t available, and one needed a mask so you double checked with her if she wanted to wear that the whole time and no, after some thinking she decided that she didn’t.
So here you were, a Chucky costume in hand as you walked back to your overfilled cart and mentally cursing yourself out for coming here in the first place.
The contents ended up taking up almost the whole checkout belt and cost you over double of what you had wanted to spend so you kindly declined the offered receipt. With everything put in bags you loaded it in the car and strapped in the girls before heading back home and praying you were gonna be able to get all of the bags up in one go because your two little helpers were too busy carrying their plushies.
Bags in hand you elbowed the elevator button and instructed the girls to press the right floor button for you and you made it to your home without falling over or any bags breaking.
Today was halloween and your girls had been nagging since early in the morning to go put on their costumes for trick or treating. Which you were blamed for by their dads. “Your halloween obsession is rubbing off on them.” Stated Lip, who was snacking on some jelly eyeballs as he walked into the living room. “He’s right sweetheart.” Carmen chimed in. “They’ve been begging me to make ‘spooky foods’ all week.” You watched as he dried his hands on he purple and orange pumpkin patterned towel that had sneakily replaced the normal kitchen towels and would not be swapped back out after this month. You sighed in defeat and mumbled on your way to the coffee maker. “Can’t believe I’m dating such party poopers.”
“Yeah! Party poopers!” “Daddies is meanies.”
Your laughter was heard over the loud coffee maker noise, not believing how they heard specifically that part of your conversation. The glares you were given would have sent anyone else running, but you knew your boys loved you no matter what so you shrugged them off as you snickered behind your large coffee mug.
“Spooky foods?” Carmen gaze was pulled from you by a tug on his pant leg. A soft laugh left him a he promised there would be spooky foods later today. He didn’t enjoy trick or treating at all and opted to stay in and prepare for your little movie night.
With the kids all dresses up and Lip’s face painted in stitches and fake blood you went underwhelmingly dressed in reds, dark makeup and a set on horns on your head. You two stayed back on the sidewalk as your kids went to the doors to collect all the candy and dump it in your bag when heir little pumpkin buckets were full. From time to time you’d snap pictures and sent them to Carmy with little loving notes. Once you were on your way back you shot Carmy a text to get the mood set at home and get the movie ready so the girls could throw themselves onto the large lounge chairs and snack on all the spooky foods they could eat.
There were brain cupcakes you had gotten from Marcus, fruity drinks with skull ice cubes, spider licorice candies and white chocolate ghosts. Finger hotdogs and a bowl of skeleton crisps and decorated cookies the girls made with Carmy yesterday were set out on the table over a spiderwebbed tableclcoth.
You placed the candy bags down and moved the kids to the couch, hyping hem up for the movie you had picked for them. Something Halloween themed but not scary, but not childish enough to bore your boys.
With everyone settled you grabbed the remote and pressed play, after a moment hearing the all too familiar into tune to the Nightmare before Christmas begin paying. Lip and Carmen spent more time watching their daughters react to the movie than watching it themselves, enjoying how Lily would excitingly cheer as soon as Jack appeared on the screen and Rose would excitedly swing to the songs.
After the movie was done all three parents made an effort to help the girls to bed. It took promises of candy for breakfast to make them cooperate but after some time they were in bed and asleep.
With most of the snack gone or packed away for tomorrow Lip spoke up. “So, now what?”
“Oh my god fryer snacks and a movie, please.” You dramatically clung to the freezer before grabbing a box of snacks and going your way to prepare them.
From the kitchen counter you could hear your boys talking.
“We missed you earlier.” Lip casually confessing these little things still made your heart melt right out of your chest. You stood there, listening to them praising each other on their respective tasks today while the snacks warmed up.
“So, have you boys picked a move yet?” With food in hand you returned to the couch and wiggled yourself in between them. “Nah, you’re the halloween lover here, so you pick.” And some agreeing nods were your sign to open op Prime video and dig through your library to find the right movie to watch and settling for the original Scream.
“You find this way too hot, dear.” Lip commented on your lovey dovey smile whenever Ghostface stabbed someone. Carmen stared a your blushing self and jokingly suggested to have the kids stay with Sugar for a weekend so they can indulge in your murder fantasies, but seeing your reaction he almost thought he had to talk to Lip and start planning something.
Lip couldn’t keep the grin off his face while Carmy went on and on about how it was obvious this was something you would enjoy and it being perfect since there was two of them, just like this Ghostface.
A hand had snuck around your waist, a whisper in your ear sending shivers down your spine. “Would you like that, baby? Us pretending to come and kill you?” You were beet red and almost screamed as fingers dug into your side. A hand quickly coming up to silence you as they began their attack. Your back was against Carmy’s chest with your arms held behind your back and shoulders pulled up to your ears to protect our neck. Legs quickly being grabbed and locked in their grasp as your sides were being tortured with tickles. One of Carmy’s hands wiggling his way underneath your jaw to get to your neck as you tried to escape, causing you to scoot to the edge of the seat and dropping yourself off. Your back hitting the carpet while your lower legs were still stuck underneath Lip’s. One hand raised up in defeat while to other covered your mouth to quiet down your laughs looking up at the two boys who were shaking their heads at you. “Baby, we really love you,” Carmen started before Lip finished the sentence for him. “but you’re a fucking idiot.”
Shrugging you agreed with them. “At least I’m you guys’ idiot.”

How do you clean garbage cans that are bug-infested?
How to clean garbage cans is a hot search topic, especially in summer. When heat quickly turns bins into stink pits, that is a breeding ground for harmful bacteria, viruses, and other harmful pathogens.
The sight of maggots and the rotting smell from reeking garbage bins make us gag. Filthy bins attract raccoons and vermin, often leaving a mess to clean up. Washing disgusting containers is a horrible, revolting chore, and we are tired of it. Yet does it have to get done, or does it now?
So, how do we stop this senseless cycle? & Keep Clean garbage cans!
Available Bag Products To Help Keep Clean Garbage Cans
Paper and other environmentally friendly bags and products are common substitutes for plastics in the organic stream. Most paper bags don’t hold up, and they get costly fast. Many bio-degradable and compostable bags have gelatine or thin plastic linings to avoid disintegration. Using oversized or extra-large garbage bags in trash cans prevents the lids from properly shutting. Flies get access through openings & lay eggs, which causes maggots. Bags rip or tear when a built-in locking mechanism is present. So we revert to what we know works well: plastic bags, specifically single-use grocery or checkout bags. But they are getting more costly, consistently fail at doing the job effectively, and have caused irreversible environmental damage.
Want a hassle-free solution to keep clean garbage cans?
Garbage bags or bin liners, whatever you call them, ‘work.’ They help keep bins clean, which is why we all use them. But it’s impossible to find reasonably priced bags that stretch and fit over the large openings of our containers. When buying trash bags, we have all looked for bags that fit our bins. Oversized loads are commonly found in the manufacturing industry, as they exceed residential limits and are overpriced.
We want one simple, reliable solution that makes it a mess and hassle-free fix. That solution is BagEZ. The world’s first garbage bag holder that makes managing your waste super easy and an easy way to clean garbage cans smell.
How BagEZ gives you clean garbage cans every time
Always start with a clean can and use good quality bags for the best results.
Setting up BagEZ is quick, simple, and effortless. You can do it in 3 easy steps.
Unfold your frame and hang the handles on the raised edges of your open container.
Insert your bag through the center and pull the edges over the frame. Ensure adequate overhanging material to avoid bag slippage.
Firmly attach your fasteners by pressing down one side at a time until all four corners are secure.
That’s it. It’s that simple.
You are now ready to throw your trash away. See the VIDEO
Replacing and adding new bags.
Lift, Drop, and shut. That’s your routine until your bag reaches capacity. Replacing bags is super easy.
Pull off the four fasteners, one side at a time.
Let your bag drop, and seal it.
Add new bags as needed until your bin is full.
Remove your BagEZ bag holder before putting your bin at the curb
All waste in the bag, including nasty and gross items, is removed, leaving you with a clean bin without any effort.
Drop a few newspapers in your bin to absorb any liquids that may leak if your bag happens to be ripped or punctured accidentally. Lining your container with a few papers when you are going to use a brand of trash bags you have not tried before will again save you from having to wash out your bin thoroughly. Check your containers for any leaks or accidents after trash collection. Upgrade to a better quality bag to avoid future disasters, as BagEZ can firmly secure bags up to 55 lbs / 25 kgs.
BagEZ can easily be combined with other odor and pest-eliminating products to give you added control and peace of mind.
Approximately 100 liters of water are wasted washing out bins and spraying clean garbage cans on driveways and lawns with the nasty stuff in your containers. That dirty water is toxic and frequently gets into the drainage system, contaminating stormwater. Besides preserving water, you save money and do not waste time washing out nasty garbage containers. Detergents and other products used to clean bins are also saved.
Additional Benefits Of BagEZ
Single-use plastic bags, commonly identified as shopping, grocery, or checkout bags, cost 5 to 10 cents a bag and are rising. Thin bags are famous for leaks, and double-bagging is smart. Grocery bags hold little waste but spill a lot when crushed. Additionally, recycling facilities jam systems and cause huge problems.
The average household disposes of about 3 to 5 bags per week, if not more. Trash bags hold more waste in volume, cost way less, and are great at holding trash and keeping bins clean.
BagEZ is versatile and makes managing waste anywhere super easy. You can hang, suspend, or rest BagEZ just about anywhere you want to make disposing of trash quick and convenient. The easy-carry handles make moving your bag around or to the bin accessible.
We hope BagEZ gives you years of service. There are substantial environmental benefits, which you can find in our FAQ section. Please share BagEZ with us because we want to make managing waste easy.
A clean garbage cans service near me versus BagEZ
After trying to find a reliable, cost-effective, hassle-free, clean garbage can service near me and failing. I created BagEZ to provide me with the convenience and target price I wanted.
The BagEZ system provided a meticulous cleaning service for my garbage cans and brought a revolutionary approach to waste management. Unlike conventional services, BagEZ ensures thorough cleaning while being eco-friendly and eliminating the use of harsh chemicals while providing 24/7 protection.
Its compact design and portability made it a hassle-free choice, catering to my need for cleanliness in confined spaces. The ease of use and the added benefit of being environmentally conscious convinced me that BagEZ was the superior choice for maintaining spotless, odor-free garbage cans in my vicinity.
How do you clean garbage cans?
Typical cleaning involves work, a bunch of tools & products to make cleaning your garbage can easier.
° Pressure washer is excellent, but a hose gets the job done.
° A scrubber with a long or extendable handle & tough bristles to remove tough grime & gunk and avoid crawling in the bin to scrub.
° Cleaning Products to loosen the dirt & remove odors are a must. I could go on about the effort, time, and water used or try BagEZ. A bag holder that allows you to fit any regular bin liner and keep your waste contained
How often should you clean your garbage can?
On average, two times a year is recommended, but it depends. Hot, humid conditions in states like Florida, Louisiana, and Texas make garbage can cleaning a necessity. Diapers, pet & food waste quickly turn garbage cans into stink pits full of harmful germs and pathogens.
Summer is getting hotter, and regular trash can cleanings quickly become a pain and a health hazard. BagEZ garbage can -trash bag holders eliminate this problem for you while delivering professional trash can cleaning service results.
As your trash is collected, everything in your trash bag, garbage juice, putrid food, and more gets taken away. You are left with a clean garbage can every time. Use quality LDPE trash bag for the best result.

SILENT TREATMENT... trent alexander-arnold
trent tries to redeem his girlfriend's voice, nirvana, with some flowers.
trent alexander-arnold x fem!oc word count: 1.7k
IT WAS NOT OFTEN that nirvana was angry with trent. she wasn't especially a grudge-holder or someone who took her boyfriend's mood swings and turned them against him afterwards. however, yesterday things had gone far. further than usual, and far too far for nirvana to forget overnight.
the premier league season had started early yesterday afternoon for the reds and it hadn't gone as well as they'd hoped. a win was what they were aiming for, a draw was what they got. so inevitably, when he had returned from london last night, trent had not been in the best of spirits. unfortunately, instead of talking about it or seeking comfort from his girlfriend, he had shut down and taken out his anger on nirvana — who was only trying to make him feel better.
of course, the player immediately regretted it, it was not in his habit to let his emotions get the better of him. but too late, the girl was already hurt. trent was only allowed her back as a landscape at bedtime, no hugs or kisses were exchanged — much to his dismay. he knew that tomorrow, it would be no easy task to make amends.
so, he got up early that morning —earlier than she did because the defender had a practice anyway— to go and buy her some croissants from her favourite bakery. trent knew it wasn't going to magically make his words from the night before disappear, but he hoped they would at least draw a smile on her face at breakfast.
an hour had passed and still no sign of nirvana in the kitchen. trent huffed and puffed, resigned to the fact that she wouldn't be coming down to join him —she'd been avoiding him since their fight yesterday. unable to wait for her any longer as his football duties called him, he took the time to write her a note to go with the croissants.
"these are for you i love you x"
once the piece of paper was placed next to the bag that came with the pastries, trent grabbed his car keys and bag before heading to the axa training centre, his girlfriend still in mind.
in fact, she did not leave it. no matter what conversation he was having with his teammates, what he was doing in warm-up or practice, she was all he could think about. he blew out a long breath; being in love was surely the best feeling in the world, except when it became painful —although that was his fault.
on the way home, trent stopped at a flower shop to buy nirvana's favourite flowers, it was often this attention that made her break down in an argument, he hoped it would work today too. after much hesitation, his choice fell on the largest bouquet of roses in the shop. when he had trouble carrying it from the seat of his car to his house because it obscured his view, trent thought to himself, it's amazing what you do for someone you love.
"nirvana? i'm home," the defender exclaimed as he walked through the front door, still carrying his bulky bouquet, but he got no response.
in the kitchen, he noticed the crumbs of the croissants and the empty bag, meaning that they had been eaten. but what he noticed most of all was his little note on the floor, as if his girlfriend had wanted to give him a subtle message.
sighing again, he placed the flowers on the work surface before picking up the piece of paper and throwing it in the bin —she had seen it, that was already something.
"nirv'?" called trent again, but he only spoke in a vacuum, especially when he heard the shower turn on and the water begins to flow.
silence enveloped the living room and he sat on the couch, thinking about what he would say to her when she finally came downstairs, occasionally checking the time because the minutes were feeling long without her presence. when the trickle of water finally stopped, trent told himself that it was almost time and he found himself impatient. he wanted to apologize to her but the girl hadn't given him the chance yet today.
and then finally, the stairs began to creak, indicating that she would be there in less than a few seconds. a towel was wrapped around her still-damp hair while she was wearing simple jeans and a t-shirt. a stray lock of hair had escaped from the towel and a few drops that she didn't wipe off well were consequently running down her neck. once in the living room, she didn't look at him or the bouquet she passed by as if it didn't exist.
he was quick to get up and join her in the kitchen, settling down silently on a high chair lying around. she was taking out utensils and ingredients of all kinds, and trent guessed that she was preparing lunch, but only for her. indeed, only one plate was out, and as usual, since yesterday, she had her back to him.
"were the croissants good?" he tried to approach her a little awkwardly, but only got silence in response. that is when he realized that she was really hurt. "i... bought you flowers, the woman in the shop told me you'd like these," he tried again to get a reaction from her but she was like a wall, unperturbed.
she was quietly cracking two eggs on the rim of a bowl, acting as if she was alone, as if there wasn't her boyfriend behind her struggling like an idiot to redeem himself. trent then realised that it was time for an apology.
"i'm really sorry about yesterday, i shouldn't have talked to you like that and pushed you away when you were just trying to make me feel better. it was stupid of me, really, and i'm sorry," he breathed out as she continued her little game, still ignoring him. "nirv'? are you going to talk or?" he was confused.
this was the first time she had ever acted this way. after an argument, usually, she would tell him what she hadn't liked, what had hurt her, and then trent would apologize and everything would be back on track. the silent treatment was brand new, and it confused his brain immensely because he had never learned how to make amends for a situation like this.
once her plate was ready, nirvana took care to lick the dripping sauce off her fingers one by one in front of him, making trent roll his eyes. not only did she not speak to him, but she also played with him —it was definitely not his day. then, she deserted the kitchen to go and slump down on the sofa a few meters away, leaving the defender alone like an idiot who lowered his head in defeat. but since he didn't give up so easily, he joined her on the sofa, ready to make her talk.
"i got to admit that i don't know what to do here. if you don't talk t—" he couldn't finish his sentence because she had already turned on the television and the volume up to the maximum so that she wouldn't hear him. trent grunted in displeasure before reaching over her body to grab the remote control to turn it back off.
like a child, a pout was present on trent's lips as he rested his chin on the shoulder of the woman to his left, "please talk to me, i'm sorry nirvana, you know i didn't mean to upset you last night," the girl waddled a little in an attempt to get the player to move, but he remained steadfast.
it was then that he began to place several wet kisses on his girlfriend's neck, interspersed with "please" and "i love you", hoping that these words would break down her barriers. although her face remained impassive, trent could feel the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end from the shivers that his kisses were causing. a small smile broke over his lips as he rested his chin on her shoulder, his eyes raised to the girl's face.
"please talk to me. i want to settle this fight but if you don't talk to me we won't be able to. i really hate it when you do that," he whined before placing another kiss, this time behind her ear.
this kiss was surely the right one because it managed to do something the others had not; provoke a smirk on his girlfriend's lips, widening his own smile. he was not far from his goal now.
"that's the whole point trent," nirvana replied simply, and the defender felt joy wash over him as the sound of her soft voice finally reached his ears.
she finally looked down at trent, who was also looking at her, a silly little smile on his face. despite herself, nirvana felt her barriers drop and a bigger smirk comes to her lips.
"i love you, and i'm sorry about what i said yesterday. i promise to never do it again," he whispered in the hollow of her ear and she felt her barriers drop completely.
"promise?" the girl offered her pinky finger which trent caught with his, laughing loudly.
"i promise," he reaffirmed so that she would understand that he was serious about what he was saying and nirvana then let her body sink a little more into the sofa before she laid her head on the defender's.
"i love you too trent, but just know that the next time i offer you comfort you have to accept it because i'm your girlfriend and i'm here to support you, okay?" she said quietly with her eyes closed as she enjoyed this moment with the player who responded affirmatively to her words.
after a few seconds, she finally lifted her head and turned it towards the bouquet still sitting on the kitchen counter, "thank you for the flowers, they're beautiful."
trent followed nirvana's gaze before resting it on her again as a tender smile played on his lips, "anytime sweetheart."

mordern!steddie, fluff, and target run! please!
"I have to have this." You declared, grabbing the small box off the shelf.
Eddie looked up from his phone, brow raised as he looked over your shoulder. "What is that?"
"It holds your phone up but it's like a little retro TV stand. It's so cute." You grinned, plopping it into the red basket, snagging your Starbucks cup out of the holder.
"And that's a necessity because..?" Steve hummed, crouching to look at the storage bins below.
"Because," You huffed, rolling your eyes. "It's three dollars and I need it for my baths. I always have to prop my phone up on the towels and it slides."
"That's actually a really good point." Eddie nodded in agreement, arms snaking around your waist, squeezing the cotton of your shorts before stealing a sip out of your straw. "Definitely a necessity."
Steve rolled his eyes, standing with the small drawer organizer. "Fine, but for everything else, we're sticking to the list."
"Got it." Eddie nodded, winking at you playfully, sending you into a fit of giggles.
"So no looking at the clothes?" You asked, following behind Steve, Eddie behind you.
"No."
"Not even the pajamas?"
"C'mon, Steve, don't deprive her of the pajamas." Eddie sighed dramatically. "That's cruel."
"You have a million pajamas, baby." Steve looked at you, one hand on his hip, the other on the cart.
"Yeah, but these are so soft, Stevie. You know they are." You pouted, arms crossing over your chest. "And you and Eddie ruined the last ones."
Steve blushed, eyes cutting around him. No one heard, and even if they did, they couldn't possibly know that by "ruined" you meant they'd tore them off of you, spilt the seam right down the middle for a make shift restraint to tie you to the headboard one morning. Still, he couldn't help the flush on his cheeks.
"Fine." Steve rolled his eyes. "I owe you one pair. Go pick them out. I'm going to the food aisles if you need me."
"I'm gonna go look at some sheets." Eddie said casually, pulling out his vape, bringing it to his lips to take a hit. You and Steve both stopped, looking at him skeptically. "What?" Eddie asked, exhaling around the vapor.
Steve scoffed, mortified when Eddie would vape in public especially in settings like Target- true Walmart activities, he told him. The vape was banned entirely from coming into Trader Joe's with Steve.
"Why do we need sheets?" Steve asked.
"Are you serious?" Eddie mimicked, his own brows raising in dramatics. "Did you see what she did to the sheets the other day? Surprised we don't need a new goddam mattress." Eddie snorted.
"Hey." You huffed, cheeks heating. "That wasn't my fault."
"I never said it was, baby." Eddie cooed, pulling you sweetly into his side. "I just said we need new sheets. Dark ones this time. Those stains are not coming out."
"Alright," Steve lifted his hands, shaking his head. "Go get you sheets, go get your pajamas, then we are done."
Forty-five minutes later everything on the list had been added. Plus your pajamas. Plus Eddie's sheet choice. Plus a matching blanket. And a new throw pillow. And a candle, of course. Then Eddie insisted on an agenda saying that would really help him (he and Steve bickered back and forth for five minutes until they settled on a calendar for the fridge instead). And one last body spray later, you were checking out, packing the plastic bags out to the car.

Before I carry on with my regularly scheduled content, I wanted to do a post about one of my old jobs haha. Years ago I used to be a cleaner in a gambling hall in the small town I grew up in, and I swear to god I didn't get paid NEARLY enough to deal with the disgusting stuff I had to deal with. 🤣 most of folk that would come to the hall regularly were honestly VERMIN lmao. Yet they'd treat US like WE were the vermin, and I absolutely HATED my time there, but at that time I had no choice. It was horrible place to work. Here is a list of some GROSS things I remember from working there 🤣🤣
1. There was a number of toilets around the place, and quite often some of the toilets would be out of order, yet some of the customers were SO FUCKIN LAZY and couldn't be bothered walking to a WORKING toilet that they would just ignore the OUT OF ORDER signs on a toilet door and use it anyway and would have a shit, which, you guessed it, I would then have to deal with 🙃
2. There was a time I got into an argument with a woman. The place was quiet one day, REALLY quiet, I had JUST cleaned one of the toilets, And some regular alcoholic woman then went into that toilet a couple of minutes after I'd cleaned it, I saw her go in there, and then saw her come out like a minute later, and she clicks her fingers at me and says "Someone has had a shit on the floor in that toilet, and then smeared it all over the wall, it's disgusting!" So I looked at this fucking woman and I said "I have JUST cleaned that toilet..And you are the only person who's been in there since I've cleaned it..If I go in there and there's shit on the floor and walls, YOU are the one who just did it" and we had a HUGE argument in the middle of the hall 🤣🤣
3. The mens toilets were disgusting, but the women's were always worse believe it or not, women would stick their used fuckin jam rags to the toilet seats, or the toilet doors, or the toilet walls, even though we had sanitary bins in there. Which I then had to PEEL off peoples used pads and dispose of, also used tampons that would get thrown onto the floor or against walls..
4. In the men's toilets, it was a very regular occurrence that someone would pour the chemical cleaning liquid out of the toilet brush holders and piss into them, then put the toilet brush back into their piss..
5. I would often find drug related things in the toilets, Spoons, lighters, needles ect.
6. Used condoms were also a very regular occurrence in the toilets. I once even found a tied condom that had a plum in it and had shit on it, so I can only assume someone had shoved a plum in a condom up their asshole then took it out at the gambling hall for some fuckin weird reason lmao.
7. Shitty and pissy underwear left on the floors of the toilets was also another extremely regular occurrence in both the men's and womans toilets.
8. A woman on a mobility scooter once tried to fuckin run me over because she screamed at me and told me one of the gambling machines owed her money and I told her I was just a cleaner and didn't have the keys for the machines and told her to go and find another memeber of staff. 🤣
9. One time I went out to the back area to go to the skip room to dispose of some bin bags, and there was a woman having a shit in the doorway of the establishment...Which I had to clean up..
10. One time someone had taken a shit SO BIG that it wouldn't flush, and guess who had to go in there with a fucking stick and break it up..
11. I had some man ask me for a lighter, and I gave him my lighter to use, and when I went to hand it to him, he grabbed my hand and bit me, istg 🤣
12. I was in the men's toilets cleaning in there one day, with a sign on the door to say it was being cleaned, but some guy came in as I was cleaning the urinals and whipped out his cock and waggled it at me while laughing. 🙃
There's so many more things. Honestly. But there just a few...Thats why I fucking hated my job lmao.
The police were ALWAYS getting called because some fucked up thing would happen there on the reg, can't lie though, working there hardened me 🤣

tired
Worked two back-to-back 12-hour days so i'm tired.
(bitching about work lol)
Tuesday was chicken processing-- 333 chickens, as it wound up, wound up in the ice baths. On slaughter day afternoons, Farmsister and I and a rotating cast of characters will package up all the whole birds, counting them out carefully into the market cooler, the freezer to prep for wholesale orders, the fridge for on-farm sales, and then the remainder stay in the walk-in cooler for further processing.
This season, BIL is doing the parts-cutting-up while we're packaging the whole chickens, and sometimes he can get his buddy the chef (who helps us cut chickens for sausage) to help, and so they get all the chickens cut up for sausage-making on tuesday, and then BIL cuts up the parts birds on wednesday. Yesterday, chef guy's wife had just had some surgery a couple days before, so he'd said he wouldn't be able to make it, but then BIL talked him into coming for just a couple hours in the afternoon, and he agreed because his in-laws had volunteered to come babysit his poor recovering wife.
We had a couple real good solid slaughter crew helpers stick around for packaging, so we flew through it. So before 3pm, Farmsister joined them cutting up birds (she did it over the winter too), and I started labeling bags.
Chef guy had until 6pm, so we kept working until 6pm. We need so many pounds of sausage, it took that long to get all the birds BIL had allocated for it all reduced to meat. I stuck around and did cleanup at the end, and got a small percentage of the bags I need labeled.
Immediately after chicken processing, I help package the hearts and livers, and I've started taking care of the feet then too. Last time I loaded them into the dehydrator and fired it up at noon on Tuesday, so it would be done before the weekend so there'd be time to run a second batch.
Farmsister and BIL ran out of time. The batch finished Friday evening and they didn't have time to take care of it. They wound up throwing them out, both the finished ones (sat too long unpackaged, can't be used) and the second batch I'd saved in the fridge ready to go.
They did put up the white ones i'd sorted out of that batch to freeze, at least.
So this time I loaded the yellow ones into the oven, in carefully-stacked trays. And I put that on as low as it would go.
They were just about finished today. I pulled them out and put them into the dehydrator to finish (they felt dry to me, but were still oily, and I felt like a whirl through the dehydrator would sop that up a bit) and immediately started a second batch. As part of this I sorted the "white" feet into a bin I kept in the fridge the rest of the day.
(When chickens are scalded, they're clipped to the holder by one foot. As they're dunked, the other foot spends most of the time in the scalding water, but the clamped foot rarely gets submerged. So the scalded foot, you can pinch the talons and pull the claw sheaths and outer skin of the foot right off, and be left with a clean white foot with soft inner nails, not claws. Those feet are suitable for human consumption; people who save feet for their own use generally would scald them and peel the skin off like this, as the outer layer is generally uncleanably filthy and not a great idea to consume. But that outer layer is no impediment to a dog's enjoyment. So we save the "white" feet for people to add in when making stock, as there's a lot of collagen in feet; some people also buy them to cook them, as several world cuisines have chicken feet as a dish. Meanwhile, the "yellow" feet go into the dehydrator to become dog treats.)
Then I spent the rest of the morning packaging chicken parts as fast as BIL could cut them. This wasn't just putting them into the packages (we use a vacuum sealer now, a nice chamber unit), but then also getting them into the correct freezers. We had a wholesale order-- 10 each of wings and legs, 30 breasts and 30 thighs. The problem is, the wholesaler expects every package of wings and legs to be 1.5 lbs exactly, and every package of breasts and thighs to be 1 lb exactly, and that's not... easy to get. It's not uncommon for a pack of breasts to be exactly a pound but they're often larger; meanwhile, thighs are almost never that large, and mostly average around three-quarters of a pound for a two-piece package (bone in, skin on). So I dedicated a shelf in the freezer to this order, and kept a running tally on the clipboard on the front of the freezer, and then when the shelf was full I had to load it onto a tray and go put it into a different freezer to stay segregated, and then fill the shelf again.
We also had an order from a chef. 30 thighs, packaged in bulk, not frozen. he did not specify size. So what I kept doing was that I'd put a thigh in a bag, weigh it, and if i could get the pack of two to be about a pound, then I'd put the bag into the sealer, and if I couldn't, I'd dump it out into the big bag for the chef. Which means I was able to give him fairly consistent-sized thighs, and also give the wholesaler packages the size he expects.
And we also had a package to assemble for a local artist collective BIL wanted to give a donation to. Chicken breasts, eight, size unspecified. I gave them the odd-sized ones but I expected they were incorporating them into some kind of dish, so uniformity of portion would not be the issue for them that it would for the chef who was planning to serve the thighs intact.
Anyway I got the wholesale order collected, got all the parts packaged and actually managed to cram them into the freezer which kind of rules, and also briefly worked the fresh chicken sale. During the sale some lady cleaned us out of all the frozen feet we had (there are a few more in a box i couldn't easily reach, so i'll dig them out later, but really not many). ("They don't come with feet," she said, indicating the whole chicken, "so I buy 'em separate," and while I'm sure she intended to make broth with them she didn't say that so I am continuing to contemplate the idea that perhaps she was hoping to do some sort of frankenchicken construction situation. If that's the case she bought the wrong number of feet i think.)
So when I went back to the kitchen (the sale was actually in the middle, I worked the first hour or two of it so BIL could spend that time cutting up the last parts, so I could go back and finish packaging them up), after I finished everything else, I dug out that bin of "white" feet and sat with paring knife to get the ugly foot callus out of the ones that needed that kind of attention, and then set to packaging, and got maybe a dozen, maybe two dozen packs of those into the freezer. Until the bin was empty.
Not too bad. We hadn't been careful about any of it last year, hadn't been too worried about it, I'd sort of been gently mocked for spending as much time on it as I had, but then we sold out of all of the kinds of feet this winter and customers kept asking for them. So the feet are important this year, but the problem is we don't have any more time for dealing with them than we did last year when we kept not bothering to save them.
So anyway. I can't stay this weekend so I am doing my absolute level best to get some saved up before then, because I know damn fine well that anything I leave unpackaged is going to wind up having to be thrown away, no one will be able to deal with it.
but it took me until after 6pm. I could sit for most of it, for the feet I mean, which was good because the day's first eight hours were all on my feet. Both today and yesterday, I worked eight hours on my feet and managed to weasel in four hours of sitting on top of that, which is the only way I could survive a 12-hour day anymore.
anyway i'm. real tired. and oh i took an edible for the pain and it just hit and i'm. uh. well. okay
