There's a lot of cool hints about the various species that we'll see in the future, but the most important thing from this paper that I haven't seen talked about much is that ostensibly all slaves are supposed to be criminals and non-WG citizens. This is what allows the auction houses to get around the World Government's abolition of slavery, making the illegal legal.

It also gives the Sabaody, with its close relationship with Mariejois, financial reason to have all sorts of random people declared criminals

biblical solomon has the ability to discern good from evil. the women are arguing about who the baby belongs to, solomon tells them they will cut the child in half so each will get half, the true mother says not to cut the baby and reveals herself as the rightful parent, justice is done.

solomon tozer doubts leadership, sees injustice, and throws himself behind the mutiny efforts -> metaphorically moving to cut the baby in half by bifurcating the group. hypothetically crozier and fitzjames could have tried to make nice with the mutineers, heard them out more, but they went for rulebook justice instead (would it have mattered if they'd tried another tactic? i doubt it, but the story goes the way it goes so who knows). the baby is therefore cut in half, the mutineers split. (nearly) everyone dies. would everyone have died if they hadn't split off? probably, but again, idk.

so go the attempts at justice enacted by guys called solomon
