General Questions:

What is their preferred combat style?

Casting. She prefers to strike from a position of stealth (hence why she and a certain rogue make a good team). When that isn't possible, she likes to use enchantment spells on enemies to manipulate their emotions (i.e. to frighten, intimidate, or dominate others).

What is their favorite weapon?

A concealed dagger (not something as flashy as Orin's, a simple one does just fine) or a not-so-concealed Eldritch Blast.

What (or who) would they do anything to save?

Probably her companions, as long as it didn't cost her her own life

What (or who) would they do anything to destroy?

Probably her companions, if they betrayed her lol

What keeps them up at night?

Her past life, pre-tadpole. She becomes obsessive over the memories lost, the things done to her body, and the things she'll never know she's accomplished.

What brings them peace?

Lighting incense, reading her journal (which is actually just Kressa Bonedaughter's log on torturing her), and a shared but comfortable silence

What is their greatest asset?

Definitely her ability to get under people's skin. She is very good at "seeing through" people to know how they want to be treated, how they don't, and what she can do to make them uncomfortable.

What is their achilles heel?

Her obsession over her past, and putting her trust in the wrong people. Also her lack of patience in tense moments. ....also any bottle of brandy

What does their voice sound like?

Deep and smoky, but she is more of a listener than a talker (unless incredibly irritated lol).

What do they smell like?

Incense, pine, and a hint of star anise.

What do they take pride in?

Openly, her "heritage" and "gifts" from Bhaal. Secretly, her companions (Shadowheart, Astarion, and Minthara) and how she has helped each of them rise to power.

How would they spend the last night of their life?

Probably getting turnt the fuuuuuck uuuuuuuup

How does someone get on their good side?

It's pretty rare. But she is often fond of people who know when to shut up/when to talk, have ambition, and are fiercly loyal.

How does someone get on their bad side?

I would say this is the default for most people she meets. Anyone who is a goody-two-shoes. She doesn't necessarily hate all good deeds or good people, just ones that cause more issues in the long run than they're worth.

What is the best and worst memory they've formed since they escaped the llithid ship?

Probably the goblin party after slaughtering the grove. This was where her friendship with Shadowheart started to kind of bloom. She also got trashed, told off Astarion, and got laid so. Pretty much covers all the favorite things.

If they could change their ancestry and choose to live another life, would they? What path would they take?

Probably not. I think Jez will come to regret embracing her urge (post-game) but it's all she knows. She already knows so little about herself, really she only knows the bad parts, and the idea of "starting over" to become someone "good" would be pretty laughable to her.

lf they had the option to restore their lost memories, would they?

Yes. This is her other biggest goal besides y'know, surviving.

Which companion was the first to learn of their dark urges?

Probably Astarion.

How did this individual find out?

I like to think that Astarion was coming back from a hunt just as Jez was trying to conceal the evidence (aka Alfira). He is also the first companion directly targeted by her urges.

Are they secretive, or open about their dark urges? Why?

Definitely open about them, at least to her companions for their own safety. She doesn't like to talk about the times she is out of control, though, like when she kills in her sleep.

Imma be real chief idk what that means

What do they gain from taking a life?

Something similar to a whole-body high. The satisfaction and curiosity of watching someone die. The knowledge that every death she consciously commits, the more in control of her unconscious urges she becomes (for a while at least).

To their memory, which kill did they most savor?

Not sure if this counts, but slaughtering the grove with Minthara. It was less so about the actual killing than it was a feeling of power, and the look in Zevlor's eyes when she betrayed them. It was like her first big "oh shit I can literally do whatever the fuck I want and no one can stop me" moment.

To their memory, have they ever resisted the urge?

Probably a few times, but one that stands out was her urge to drown Astarion.

To their memory, have they ever regretted taking a life?

Maybe? Kind of? She absolutely hated Orin for obvious reasons, and also because she found the whole "hey I'm gonna sacrifice one of your pals unless you fight me" incredibly annoying and inconvenient. But Orin was the closest thing she had to family left and she does often wonder if they grew up together, learned together, rose to power in the cult together, etc.

alright but what was drow's reaction to the circus, and did he and astarion take the love test?

He's definitely not a circus guy. In fact, this was a party composed of DU drow, Shadowheart, Gale and Astarion so I dont think anyone here is a circus guy, making it kinda fitting that my ass missed most of the interactions you get in there, seeing as I kind of breezed through it pfft.

Killing a clown was fun though, definitely a highlight!

And in true DU drow fashion he was way too sincere during the love test and Astarion got mad at every answer he gave except for when he said he enjoyed being chin-deep in gore LOL

Omgggg I can't. It makes the most twisted and ridiculous amount of sense. Sigh.

I murder the hell out of her every run, but as those with a drow character know, we are deep rollers. Note: I don't like Minthara, just like I don't like Shadowheart. But there's a reason for that... these women remind me too much of myself. Sigh.

I took this one with the Tav from @atavsguide in mind~ She's never really know faith to lose it, yet perhaps that's why it fits her like an uncomfortable shirt made from itchy fibres. Woven from a life of survival and betrayal where she learned there was nothing to rely on but herself.

Somehow, with a little luck and a lot of care, the tadpole ends up being the best thing for her in a way. Of course going from one disaster to the next with barely a moment to breathe isn't ideal, but this time...this time she isn't alone.

Love as a Force of Nature 🍃

Your love is like whiplash –– it comes in with the rain, it blows the doors wide open. When you fall in love, it is sudden and hard and immense. It is powerful. It is earth-shaking and world-ending. Nature is a force, and that force can be destructive if you're not careful.

See how the world is doused in gasoline and set on fire –– your love consumes, your love takes, your love burns. You're hot and cold all at once, a hurricane and a wildfire bound together in skin, and when you're in love, it can feel like it's eating you alive from the inside out.

When you love, it is with everything you have because it is everything you have. Be careful, darling, because not everyone survives the storm.

Thoughts: This does hit pretty accurately, but it's only part of her journey. Girl is holding back all that love and affection waiting for someone she might never meet, guarding her heart and afraid of being unlovable.

So when she finally DOES fall for someone, it hits hard and almost ruins everything she's built. She doesn't even realize how selfish she's been and that realization sends her spiraling. It is her own trial by fire and she comes out hurt, but a better person for it.
