Now I'm in no way qualified to verify the GoFundMes of Palestinians but I know this: There are people on this site who have been here for years diligently verifying the identity of these GFMs. It's a known fact that egypt is charging these survivors thousands just to escape across their border which is what some of them HAVE to do due to being stuck between genocide and a desert. Secondly, people from OUTSIDE Palestine are hosting these fundraisers.

I wouldn't want to support scumbags exploiting a war as much as the next guy but do try to actually think and do more research before you jump on the first opportunity to call every GFM a scam.

Actually try to talk to the people verifying first before you go around trying to discourage others from helping civilians get out of this horrible situations and think a little bit why you are so eager to discredit them with no actual proof you showed me, think if maybe you are seeing an easy way out of having to donate or share.

Lastly: I check on every single blog I get an ask on if they have been vetted by any palestinian blogger or organization, these get tagged with vetted fundraiser, ones that havent been vetted yet (which is labor intensive work and some have stopped doing it for their own health) but either have no duplicate images online or seem legit are tagged as 'support' so you can choose yourself whether to donate or not. Scammers that have been caught are marked as such and there's proof of that too.

TLDR: Talk to verifiers, theres proof of the legitimacy out there and a lot of small donations can add up to a lot even on the gay fandom website. If you're passionate about your money not going to scammers do your research instead of throwing blanket claims and never bother me with this shit again! Bye!

these gaza fundraisers you've been getting are obv written by bots trying to scam people out of their money. why would someone in a warzone be asking for help from some rando on a dying website.

Idk. But if there even is a chance that its a person trying to gain the funds they need to escape a warzone to get a better life, who am I to deny them of that? They might be trying to reach out to as many people on as many platforms they can. I try to go into the account of all the asks and the posts I reblog to see if they have been verified.

It might be annoying for you to scroll through them when looking through my blog but these are potential lives I could be helping if I even showed them to a person who could donate. I'll just feel guilty if there was something I could've done to help and I sat on my ass and twiddled my thumbs wondering if every single one these are bots and scammers. In times of crisis, skepticism is warranted but I don't think I'm the person that needs to be vigilant. If I found out any of the campaigns and asks are actually scammers, I will comb through my page to delete them.

Maybe it's to soothe my own consciousness, like "oh I've performed a little bit of activism, that's enough for today" but I would look like an even bigger dick if I said I supported Palestinians and didn't do a lick of anything to actually show ppl with my actions. Again your skepticism of these blogs might have merit but I have done basically nothing but use a couple filters on TikTok, retweet a few fundraisers and as a person who has the privileged life of not being stuck in war, it's the baseline of what I can do.

I haven't donated because I don't have my own money. It's my parents money. They're more worried about the finances of our own family than they are about helping some others. My parents aren't bad people but they care about getting something back of value for the money they worked hard for. If I went up to my mom every time to ask for her PayPal to donate 5 dollars to some Palestinian family, she'd go on a lecture on how the expenses for a household of six is high and they have to worry about not running themselves to the ground first. - People trying to make a quick buck. I don't mind paying for some things, I'm talking about the 0 effort get-rich-quick crap.

- Propaganda, psyops, scammers, etc.

It's hard to filter all this crap out! It's particularly worse for people with conditions like ADHD, Depression, Autism, etc.

It also makes it harder for me to do my job. Sometimes I need specific, slightly in depth information. Due to SEO, I get surface level AI regurgitated crap. Multiple websites, all the same. They also come with a torrent of adverts. It's a user hostile experience. (Maybe I could write my own, better search engine. One that might allow me to blacklist and greenlist certain websites for certain searches. Or one that detects AI generated content and filters. Actually, a browser extension that detects AI generated content might be pretty helpful.)

I think I've run into webpages that just have AI generated recipes. It's awful. I'm at the point where I just want to use physical cookbooks. Those also don't have a novel about some irrelevant backstory and 69,000,000 ads obscuring the recipe. (Now that I think of it, maybe it would be useful to write an app that can convert a physical recipe into a digital one ...)

I don't know what I want, what really needs to change, or how to fix things. All I know is that I am passionately upset.

The Hate Sink Page For The Owl House is Hilarious

Not for what's on the page, that's... fine (I could go into my issues with calling some of them Hate Sinks) but for the fact that it's both comprehensive and also not? Specifically that it excludes ALL the demons.

That's not even a joke. BOSCHA is missing from a list about HATE SINKS. There's only one actual line in the entire first two seasons that Boscha says that isn't supposed to portray her as a terrible person. That's way more severe than the literal first entry on the page: Matt. You know, the kid who IS given a sympathetic reason to be evil in his first appearance. Hell, if a bad first appearance is all you need, Amity and Hunter should be on this list because they're both gleefully monstrous in their first outings in a way that Matt isn't.

The other REALLY obvious, missing one is Tibbles. You know, the person people would despise more if his episodes where he's a main antagonist weren't almost entirely forgotten, or hated, by the fans? The ONLY demon on the list (unless you count the coven heads which... I have no idea, especially since Darius literally changed his hair to abomination style so I don't think that's enough to classify Terra as one but maybe Dorian?) is Kikimora which... Yeah. You'd have to just be bluntly choosing not to talk about the demons not to bring her up.

This isn't actually meant to be condemnatory of anyone, it's just hilarious to me, especially with how demons were treated in the show. Like this list to me speaks of someone who effectively only rewatches TOH starting at S2 and like... Most people in the fandom are on the side of S2, or at least S1B, being when the show gets really good, when there isn't so much filler, so I guess that's not surprising. It just adds to the silliness of any of them complaining about a lack of plot in S1 of Amphibia when so much of early TOH I feel just gets entirely forgotten by people.

Then again, the writers forgot too so... *evil grin*

I imagine that Epel and Kit became fast friends. Neither of them like Vil and don’t like the strictness of the dorm. While Kit, unlike Epel, doesn’t care much about the dressing fancy bit, he still doesnt like the dorm. That’s mainly because she doesn’t like Vil’s strictness and finds him stuck up. After she starts dating Kalim she does start wishing she was in Scarabia though. I want to imagine if Epel messes with her she uses her UM on him after she gets it to make him get in trouble with Vil (Same with Ace and Deuce because they have Riddle).

Also Epel immediately saw through Kit’s kindness and Kit decided to be, while not fully honest, more real with Epel since they were going to be stuck together. Though, to be fair, most people would understand Kit isn’t being fully truthful with her kindness. There’s only one person like that in the entire school is Kalim. So now her kindness facade is only completely on to outsiders. Though she is still more cruel and rude than even (most of) the student base knows. (She’s actually a lot like Jamil, no wonder they don’t like each other.)

Hi, I'm sorry to bother you. We aren't mutuals but I do follow you. I have a dilemma I think you could maybe help me with? I have been sharing a lot of GFMs for the people in Gaza, so I've received several DMs and asks recently asking me to donate to or share their posts/GFMs. Usually, they'll have posts on their blog that have additions from people who have vetted them, so I feel good about posting a link or reblogging their posts.

Earlier today, I received a message from a blog that has tagged some well-known vetters, but some of how the message is set up concerns me, and when I looked at the blog to kind of loosely vet it myself, their original GFM post looks like it's been almost exclusively shared among bots with all the exact same tags, which makes me feel really uncomfortable that it might be disingenuous. I thought about sending a link to a vetter like 90-ghost, but I don't know if I should because I think he's probably busy with a ton of messages from Gazans asking him to vet them and share their posts.

Idk what to do, and I guess I just wondered if you have also encountered this since you get a lot of asks about this stuff, and if you have any advice for what I should do? I don't want to report them if they're actually legit and get them banned for no reason. But also, I don't want scammers to take people's money either. I personally am donating everything I can, and I'm nervous about sharing misinformation to my followers when they could be helping someone who really needs it instead. Do you have any advice?

I'd personally try reverse image searching the pictures they use and try checking if the story's been copied by searching it with quotes around the phrase to find exact matches- have you seen anyone reblogging from a vetter in the reblogs? if you still really aren't sure after checking then I suppose you could leave the ask unanswered but unreported just in case they aren't a bot/scammer, though I find that reverse searching typically is enough assurance for me. if you're able to dm them then maybe try that as well if you want better info, also look at their story and see if it's asking for things like insulin or things like that- generally they're more likely to be sent be scammers, and see if it seems cohesive despite awkward wordings

i also simply don't have the reach to help you on my own - i have maybe 10 total active followers - and you are much better off sending them to blogs who have the experience to verify you and the reach to actually get you help.

i'm not asking this out of callousness or a lack of caring - i deeply desperately hope you get the help you need. i know how incredibly vulnerable it is to ask for help even when it's just for some money for groceries, let alone when you're fleeing for your life and trying to protect your family, or trying to care for yourself or a loved one, or have a pet who needs emergency care. i will reblog as many legitimate fundraisers as i see from folks who are able to verify them, but i just don't trust my own judgement enough to tell the difference between a legitimate fundraiser and an AI/bot/scammer when it's just someone i don't know in my inbox, and frankly i would hate to get it wrong and inadvertently make things any worse.

Hi there! Right off the bat no one harass this person. I choose to believe it's a genuine person asking for genuine help, and if it's not and is actually a scammer then oh well it's a good grift and everyone is falling on tough times rn and trying to make some extra cash to survive. I can't believe that you should look the other way when someone is shoplifting and also believe that people using opportunities like this to get people to freely and willingly give them money is inherently evil.

Again, I do believe this is a real Palestinian asking for actual help, and I will agree that using the suffering of others to boost your own pocket is morally off so do not come for me about the above statement, I explain it better further down, but I'm not about to completely cut off someone on the chance that they're not being genuine, because whether they're asking for donations as a Palestinian to evacuate, or whether they're using the cover for personal, individual use during tough times regardless of whether they're using false pretenses, I don't have the time to vet them and I'd rather try to help any person asking for it, regardless of how they ask.

There's also the major possibility that many many Palestinians with campaigns like this cannot be verified because they do not have the knowledge or resources to do so, who also desperately need and deserve help. So in these individual cases I choose to believe the best. The only way I can see myself regretting donating to or sharing a campaign is if the funds are then used to perpetuate real harm, or if they're used on frivolous things like a tesla or a Rembrandt.

As an aside a TV, cellphone, computer, some nice clothes, candles, lotion and nice toiletries, that sort of stuff? Don't consider them frivolous even in the face of more pressing needs, but that's a discussion for another day.

I also do not currently have the funds to donate, so I will be sharing campaigns, and I also do not have the time or resources to vet every campaign I come across. Maybe that makes me a bit irresponsible, but when it comes to time sensitive humanitarian crises I tend to try to help recklessly, because I don't want people to die because I hesitated to verify the validity of their call for help.

Are there scammers out there capitalizing on the Gazan genocide by pretending to be Palestinians asking for aid? Most likely yeah! Do I know from experience as both a crime and community journalist and a years-long activist that scammers are often just people also trying to survive that are smart enough to dupe the system? Most of the time yeah! When you want to start vetting campaigns like these, focus on organizations and corporations with campaigns attracting millions or billions in donations annually. Individual campaigns should not be your verification focus, because they inherently have a much smaller impact than corporate campaigns. If you want to help someone, do it.

Unless the aid you give them is then used to harm or kill another person, what they do with it is kinda not your business anymore. If you're worried about spending limited funds on a false pretense that could be better used elsewhere, it's time to start thinking about lobbying as a form of activism, because congrats! You leveled up!

This is where you approach corporations and government representatives to lobby for divestment, donations, changes in government actions. The many giving a little each helps immensely, yes, but we all only have so much, while 1% of people hold 90% of all the wealth. Instead of worrying about where your little is going, worry about where their much is going.

Well, okay, yeah, maybe calling it a scam is a bit much since it was all very disjointed and it doesn't seem like Sooyoung or Joonghyuk were actually working together and it was still very possible somebody was going to die if the right things weren't said or the right actions weren't taken, at exactly the right times, but it worked out in the end!

I really didn't think Sooyoung was actually dead at any point (because it's Sooyoung) and I've been hoping that Dokja was going to be able to get through to Joonghyuk (if Joonghyuk hadn't already decided not to kill him) but I didn't at all expect that this was actually a plot to get through to Dokja.

Dokja basically having to be tricked into actually defending himself (both verbally and physically) and yet still being unable (and unwilling) to tell his side or apologize because he doesn't feel he deserves to be forgiven 😭 and instead relying on both Sooyoung and his and Joonghyuk's shared stories to speak for him. In fact, Sooyoung literally saying to his face that he sucks at telling his story.

And the fact that she says that both of them are bad at listening... I have the feeling what they're bad a listening to isn't necessarily other people's criticism and hate but instead the exact opposite. 😭

"How did it go?" "He went crazy and attacked me." Han Sooyoung smirked and lightly pinched Kim Dokja's cheek as if she was proud of him. "By the way, what's the matter with his chest?" "He's paying for making me eat dirt." "…Dirt??" "There is something like that."

Oh man though, Dokja just losing it not for himself, but for Sooyoung. For his happy ending he's been working so hard for where everyone gets to see the epilogue without becoming a monster along the way. His ending that's been completely reduced to ashes right before his eyes and he can't even process that everything he went through and everything he did means nothing. 😭

And then him just losing all willpower as he lets the devastation wash over him. As he lets the guilt wash over him. As he acknowledges, as always, that he can't ever possibly kill Joonghyuk. Just letting Joonghyuk attack him even after Dokja had him defeated. 😭 Which is exactly what I feared would happen!!! Especially after the Fourth Wall thinned and that stupid Fruit started messing with his head!

Ugh! The Fruit of Good and Evil!!! Oh man, I hope that this helps tie up the loose ends and he doesn't continue to be affected by it (and his own general emotions that were already there) and just hate himself even more than he already did, thinking he's just a callous constellation who watched everyone's suffering for his own entertainment and possibly even contributed to it via his comments.

It was a book Dokja! A BOOK! It's completely different from being inside of the world and refusing to help, something which you have only ever done once, and that was out of pure necessity because you knew you weren't strong enough to help. And you immediately sent in someone else to help in your place as fast as you could.

And now I guess Joonghyuk is going to see exactly what that feels like. Uh...I assume Sangah dragged him into the wall??? Which sounds both hilarious and terrifying. Though maybe Joonghyuk being able to see things from Dokja's eyes for once might do them a world of good, in addition to this "conversation" they just had that leveled the area.

Also...Joonghyuk, my guy...DON'T TRY TO BREAK DOKJA'S FOURTH WALL!!! Oh man, so he was actually trying to destroy that when he "cut him down" and while that's better than attacking Dokja himself...it's really not better. HE NEEDS THAT WALL JOONGHYUK!!!

The Fourth Wall thickening and thickening and thickening all through the fight too. I assumed it was to protect Dokja's mental state as he's going through all this (and probably that was part of it) but now I'm kind of wondering if it knew Joonghyuk was going to try to destroy it. Hmmm.

But at least Joonghyuk said he's a former Regressor, so I'm taking that to mean he's made his peace with everything and he's chosen to stay in this life with Dokja for certain? Even if he's a little too aggressive about wanting to break through the Fourth Wall and devour all of Dokja's (and TWSA's) secrets. 😬

Oh, and now Sooyoung has Predictive Plagiarism? So that means all three of our main duo has some form of "prophetic powers" not to mention Sangah who's read all of TWSA too by now and also Anna Croft who's starting to be able to read Dokja's moves (very not happy about that, I hope it's just because the Fourth Wall isn't working properly here) and also Secretive Plotter and possibly Metatron via Secretive Plotter.

Hi anon! Thank you for reaching out about this, it’s totally normal to feel jealous or lonely when it comes to seeing others in relationships. Unfortunately, that’s a pretty common :( not feeling like you have someone to trust or talk to on an intimate level can sometimes feel overwhelming and manifest in jealousy or anger. I’m not always the best when it comes to relationship advice, but I always try to give the best advice on these things that I can…

I wish someone told me when I was younger that being in love and being loved are two different things. No matter if you’re friends or partners, the most important part of a relationship is trust. And for some of us, trust doesn’t come easily. Some people struggle to be open and honest about feelings, maybe from fear of judgement, or maybe because they never learned how to express them in the first place. As one of those people, I can tell you that it’s more common than you’d think to be unable to express feelings, even as grown adults.

It’s almost a good thing to note that you get jealous around others in situations you want to be in. It’s normal to be jealous about seeing someone being comforted by someone who cares for them. For some of us, it’s hard to form those relationships when we have a hard time expressing our feelings and needs to others. It really does help to get to know someone by text if you’re shy in person, but I’d suggest that you actually do meet in person (safely!) when possible to build the connection of learning tones and body language to help yourself assess what someone’s saying instead of jumping to conclusions like I sometimes do.

The only real way to meet someone who’s right for you is to meet and get to know others. Tumblr is one of many places that caretakers and littles can express themselves and be honest with who they are. There are tons of cg’s looking to have a little on this app, and most of them are genuine. Be careful when looking for a cg online however- there are tons of scammers and creeps out there that will try and trick you. Get to know someone- talk to them online, check out their account to make sure they’re a real person, and once you get comfortable, offer FaceTimes so you can be sure you’re really talking to who they say they are.

Unfortunately, there’s not an exact science when it comes to finding someone who genuinely cares about you. Also remember that CGs are people too and have feelings and emotions that need to be acknowledged- it isn’t a one sided relationship. A relationship is formed by trust, by honesty, and by happiness. Don’t settle for anyone who doesn’t try to help when you need it, and don’t be the person who doesn’t help. There’s no such thing as a ‘perfect’ relationship either- it takes work from both sides to make it last.

Okay I feel like I could go on about this for ten more paragraphs but I feel like it’s getting a little long here so I’m going to wrap it up… I’m so proud of you for being able to pinpoint and name your emotion when it came up, and I want to thank you genuinely for sharing this with me. It takes time, it takes work, and it takes communication to form a strong bond in any type of relationship, but especially one when it comes to being as vulnerable as in little space.
