still rambling about yandere cookie run.

This is idea is inspired by @brittle-doughie (plus he make great content and you should totally check his account out. And also got be back into the crk a bit so yeah.) I made two ideas for this ramble.

I imagine just y/n cookie kinda being a sort of celebrity around earthbread and being well liked. (This idea does mix both over break and kingdom cause I like both the games.) Y/n being a regular cookie who ended up being mixed up with heros, villains, beasts and many other cookies. They have social media and end up being instantly followed by every cookie and it does worry them a bit but mostly brush it off as them being paranoid, y/n does notice how their stuff does disappear as Roguefort Cookie definitely isn't taking some of y/n's stuff when the window is open for half a second. They do like the songs that the singing cookies celebrities make them but do get worried about how many there are and they can't really deny how many cookies are acting weird around them as the evidence is overwhelming. Also they are kinda scared to ever go to Butter Pretzel Cookie studio again as they where trying to find the bathroom and ended up finding a whole huge room full of portraits of y/n. But some cookies they see as normal (all the cookies are obsessed over y/n and y/n is not safe bro. Except for the kid cookies as they are strictly platonic only) they trust some of the cookies as y/n does think they are paranoid about the cookies being obsessed and talking stuff or something but luckily the can trust hollyberry, gingerbrave, muscle cookie and a few others. As hollyberry said that it might be the stress y/n is putting on themselves day to day, maybe that what is making them so anxious but since it's such a long ride back home, hollyberry offered to let y/n stay at the castle for the night and jungle berry and royal berry insist as well as princess and knight cookie, what’s the harm of staying for one small night?

Also totally thinking that if y/n cookie posting about a really good lunch or something at a restaurant, just the restaurant swarming with customers as, if y/n says it's good, it must be.

For regular cookie run kingdom and a maybe a tiny hint of ovenbreak, is a traveling adventurer who loves to share stories about their adventures as they seek to find if myths or legends are true and sometimes they are but sometimes aren't and they love to talk about them and has a whole book of their doodles and writing in them. They do come by from time to time and get a strange feeling Everytime they come for a short while at the kingdom, cookies insisting that they should stay and that it'll be night and that would be unsafe so they would stay and find it weird that y/n just said they would sleep in a regular house but was put into the castle and over time it gets harder and harder to get out of the kingdom with cookies needing help or something in the kingdom goes wrong and y/n helps but that wastes more of their time until it's dark outside and they are forced to stay another night. Y/n never likes to be cooped up in one play so obviously they try to get out as they have all of earthbread to see and discover. Y/n then sneaks out when it's dark outside with a little help from their buddy cinnamon cookie as those big magic tricks payed off to help y/n escape. Plus now they owe cinnamon cookie a week of helping cinnamon perfect his magic tricks for his next show also having to find the Longan Dragon and lotus dragon to be able to add to their bucket list of seeing all the dragons (and totally not escaping the clutchs of the other dragon cookies by the slightest crumb on their body because of not they'd be stuck forever with the dragon cookies after just discovering them) but they need to press on forward to find all the secrets of earthbread...if they don't get dragged back to that cookie kingdom to be trapped there or if the dragons get y/n first. Who knows!

What’s this?! Two of my special interests combined?! I had this idea and couldn’t get it out of my head! It demanded to be drawn! And lemme tell ya, drawing Alastor as a cookie was one of the most fun things ever hehe! In this version, his ears really are just hair, since he’s a cookie and not a deer, but I still wanted his hair to resemble his ears! Also, he’s a spice cookie, so his microphone staff has a seasoning shaker motif!

Would you all like to see more of these? I do have fun ideas for a lot of the other characters hehe! Any interactions or comments or questions or reblogs are always so appreciated and keep me motivated to draw more hehe!

If you know anything about the game and am really nerdy about it like I am, or if you’re just interested in listening to my nerdy rambles, I’ll include some extra info on him below the version with no shading and the version without the background hehe!

I think Alastor would be a super epic cookie (one of the harder ones to get! I don’t yet have all the super epics and I’ve been playing for years!) and he’d be a magic type! His position would be middle, since Alastor would be the type to take the lead if necessary and lead the charge, but he also has the tendency to want to slip away into shadows and disappear from the frontlines! I think his skill element would be darkness, since he has shadow powers and such! Speaking of, I feel like his game abilities could go a few distinct ways, one being his shadow powers, one being his radio abilities and sound waves? I’ll have to think on that! If anyone is familiar with the game and has any ideas let me know!

Also! Alastor’s “race” is a spice cookie, since he’s not fond of sweets and much prefers spicy, savory New Orleans dishes! Though, getting really nerdy here, I feel like his mother would be Hollyberrian cookie (which are based on fruits and berries and pies and plants! because he also resembles a chocolate filled strawberry and his mom would totally be a sweet fruit or pie cookie!) and his father would be a spice cookie! Okay okay, so I introduced y'all to the idea of Shui Muyang (courtesy name Shui Qingbo), and this is part one of the rambling!!!!

So, Shui Muyang does not gender. They took one look at it and decided "no thanks, that's not for me" so they do their own thing (much to the chagrin of their father, but woes him, they guess). The peak lords constantly have discussions on how to address them - shidi or shimei - but they really could not care less and has made that clear, so some people genuinely believe that there are two peak lords co-running Zui Xian Peak when it's actually just Muyang. Let's get appearance out of the way before we get into the juicy stuff (or even more juicy stuff if you like appearance)! Shui Qingbo once had normal black hair, but one wrong plant when trying a new experimental wine and they ended up wildly out of sorts in Qian Cao with pale blue hair that they seem positively delighted by. Their eyes are a light blue, still soft and welcoming despite the almost naturally icy tone to them. They wear only the most stylish cuts of their brown and gold robes, and will not be caught dead getting any dirt on their robes. SO, Muyang grew up in a relatively wealthy family, a hospitality business under their control, the only child. Unfortunately for their father, they were always more interested in following their mother around the kitchen and yapping away to other guests than they were learning the ropes of the business - something made worse by the fact that they didn't even remotely buy into conforming into gender from a young age. They were most certainly a strange child, with a strange sensitivity to resentful energy that everyone believed to be brought from the fact that their birth was not at all an easy one, with Muyang almost dying in the process due to being premature. This gave them what was cited as a "connection" to the other realm, and it succeeded immensely in creeping their parents out if nothing else, zoning out and staring at things that nobody else could see, sometimes even talking to what they could see. When a travelling cultivator witnessed this one day, she spoke to their parents about how there were entrance exams for Cang Qiong soon, and that cultivators would certainly appreciate a skill like that. To say that their parents were more than willing to send Muyang off would be an understatement (their mother did love them, but...they were incredibly odd), and their father even made a comment about them returning as a 'respectable gentleman that didn't freak everyone out', whatever that meant. Maybe some children would be upset at being sent away by their parents, but Muyang had always been left to their own devices as a child, pushed to helping with the business and then ushered off to the side when they began acting too weird for everyone's liking. So, they went to the entrance exams with little fuss, following the hoards of children and watching the resentful energy lingering around the borders of the gates with a mild sort of interest. When they found out that they had to dig holes to try and gain the attention of peak lords, they weren't that bothered with getting dirty or anything, but they quickly became bored. Honestly, it wasn't as though a peak lord was going to be drawn to a child that confused and creeped out even their own parents, so they instead busied themself with scavenging through all of the herbs and berries they had just growing randomly at the outskirts of the field, which is where they were situated. Listen, mushing up a bunch of different herbs and berries into their...relatively deep hole seemed like a good idea at the time - I mean, how were they supposed to know that 'fire-cracker berries' didn't refer to the spiciness level?? When they crushed down the berries, there was a very loud bang. Shui Muyang could say, with incredible delight, that they and the surrounding participants (and some An Ding disciples collecting chosen children) were absolutely covered in warm and sticky mud. They were even more delighted when one of the peak lords stood up and languidly pointed to where Muyang stood, announcing "I want that one" as an An Ding disciple (still covered in mud) turned to them.

alright everybody!! I'm yapping about lichen!!

Black tree-hair (Bryoria fremontii) is a filamentous lichen that grows in fine tangled strands that can reach up to two feet long!! 

Interestingly, although the species is currently classified as Bryoria fremontii, it is still sometimes referred to by its older classification, Alectoria jubata. Outside of its scientific names, it is known by a variety of other monikers, including Black Moss, Black Tree Lichen, Tree Hair, Edible Horsehair Lichen, Tree-Hair Lichen, Black Tree Beard, Fremont's Horsehair Lichen, and most commonly just, Edible Horsehair.

Also!!! Many indigenous languages in North America have names for this lichen, with at least 20 variations (maybe even more that are not documented tho!!) In the Secwepemc language, it is called Wila (wee-la). The Nez Perce name is hóopop, and the Sahaptin name is k'ʷɨnč.

It grows quite abundantly in some areas, but it only grows on species of pine, fir, and western larch trees. It’s been theorized that it grows best higher up in a tree, but to my knowledge no intensive studies have been done to 100% prove this.

It’s also one of the few lichens with a long history of food use for humans!

Most accounts of food use are from tribes in western North America, making it an important traditional food for a few First Nations in North America. Some tribes consumed it only during famine, while others chose to eat it regularly. The taste reportedly varies depending on the tree it grows on, other lichens harvested alongside it, and the preparation method.

It's important to distinguish black tree-hair lichen from yellow horse-hair (Bryoria tortuosa), which shares the same range, grows on pines, and looks visually similar. Both species contain vulpinic acid, but in yellow horse-hair it's present in high enough concentrations to make it toxic. To determine the degree of bitterness in lichen collected for food, some people tested it by taste.

A traditional method for cleaning tree-hair involves soaking it in a lake or stream to remove twigs and debris. There is a story from British Columbia about a man who submerged a clump of Bryoria in a lake overnight. To his surprise, he found it covered in freshwater shrimp the next day. He made lichen and shrimp soup from it and liked it enough to make it again. (this is largely unsourced tho, idk how factual the lake story is)

Black tree-hair has traditionally been cooked in various ways. One method involves slow-cooking it for up to two days in a pit lined with hot rocks, covered with mosses, ferns, grasses, and skunk cabbage leaves to generate steam. Sometimes it was cooked on its own, while other times it was mixed with wild onions, camas bulbs, Saskatoon berries, or other things for flavor. The lichen would reduce to a black, gooey paste; some was eaten immediately, and some was dried into "cakes" that could last for up to three years.

Another method was mixing black tree-hair with camas, drying it, and grinding it into powder to create a luxury food. Yet another approach involved piling it up, allowing it to ferment, rolling it into large balls, and then baking them in a pit oven.

The nutritional value of black tree-hair lichen is primarily due to its relatively high carbohydrate content and a small amount of protein. Additionally, it was believed to have medicinal properties. The Okanagan people mixed dried, powdered tree-hair with grease and applied the resulting paste to newborn babies' navels to prevent infection. The Nez Perce regarded it as helpful for an upset stomach, indigestion, and diarrhea.

One of the first people who was interested to deep dive into my creations and ask about my stories and worlds They're probably competing with Rabid with how much I have to say about her/silly.
