Description: Y/N meets Ben’s parents before they know that the both of them are dating.

You were sitting in the library of your school, books splayed out all over the table, struggling to take in any more information for your upcoming test. Closing the book you were reading, you sighed and pinched the bridge of your nose. As you closed your eyes, you felt a warm hand on your shoulder. “That was a big sigh, is everything alright?”.

You looked up and were met with the beautiful green eyes of Ben Tennyson, your boyfriend, and gave a small smile as you moved your hand on top of his. “Yeah, I’m just really stressed about this frickin’ test. Nothing’s going in. I’m going to fail.” Your shoulders sagged as you finished your sentence. You hated failing tests, it was the worst thing that could happen in your opinion. 

Ben moved from behind you to sit at the chair opposite, keeping your hand with his, and moved some of the books. “Hey, you’re not going to fail anything. You’re the smartest person I know, apart from Gwen that is. I swear, she’s like Einstein or something..” You giggled at this. It was completely true, Gwen just seemed to know everything about everything.

“There it is, there’s that smile I’ve been wanting to see.” A red flush spread across your cheeks, your smile growing a little more. “How about we go over to my house after school and study together? Do you think that would help?” Your smile widened even more at the suggestion. “That sounds absolutely perfect, Ben. Thank you.”

He squeezed your hand. “Anything for you.” You both leaned across the table and locked lips, pleasant and loving. The ring of the bell interrupted the two of you, much to your disliking. You began to gather together your books, shoving them into your backpack. “I’ll meet you by your car after last lesson. I love you.”

“Hey you.” A pair of arms wrapped around your waist suddenly and turned you around, placing a small kiss on your lips. “Hey, baby.” Ben opened the passenger door for you, taking your bags and helping you inside. He placed your things on the back seat before walking over to the drivers side and getting in. 

The whole ride over to his house Ben kept his hand entwined with yours, rubbing calming circles with his thumb. As you pulled up, a thought suddenly struck you. “Err, Ben. What about your parents? Aren’t they home?” Ben turned the engine off and unclipped his seatbelt, you doing the same.  “No, my dad’s at work and my moms at the supermarket. We should be good for a few hours.”  You both got out of the car and headed towards the house, going to Ben’s room once you were inside. 

You both hadn’t noticed how much time had passed when the front door opened and closed loudly downstairs. “Ben, honey, we’re home.” You both jumped up from the bed and ran around, unsure of what to do. When the bedroom door opened, you both just stood like statues. “Oh, I’m sorry Ben. I didn’t realise you had company.” 

Ben itched the back of his head nervously. “It’s alright mom. I was just helping Y/N study for a test.” Another set of feet clambered up the stairs, which belonged to Ben’s dad. “Oh, and who is this?” You stepped forward and shook his hand. “I’m Y/N, Ben’s..err..friend. We were just studying. And actually, I do have to go.” You gathered together your things as Ben gave you an apologetic smile before heading out of the room. “Nice to meet you Mr and Mrs Tennyson.” 

You walked out of the house and ran straight home, not wanting to think about the very awkward meeting you’ve just had with your boyfriends parents. You hated to think what they’d be like if they knew you were dating and you shuddered as you realised that it could be sooner than you think.

Speaking up in regards to the Carnitrix and Chaquetrix

Very unplanned post, but upon glancing over a friend's post again, as well as multiple times having it mentioned and having discussions I will state what the younger audiences that are so obsessed with the Chaquetrix & Carnitrix would NOT want me to say; you need to stop associating other people's work with the Carnitrix/Chaquetrix just because it follows a certain theme (e.g.: aliens looking disfigured and whatnot). Not everything that is Ben 10 horror or contains bizarre and disturbing looking aliens/transformations & has obscure, twisted storylines/plots is immediately inspired by/similar to the Carnitrix; a lot of the horror Ben 10 things that you immediately associate with the Carnitrix have been around at least a while before the latter AU itself has been, if not for years. And you also need to stop nagging people about it. You can ask/suggest an artist to draw it, but don't be out here trying to shove it down every artist's throat. It gets obnoxious. If you get told no, then no is the final answer.

Same for the Chaquetrix. For the most part, In my honest opinion, I see the Chaquetrix AU as merely a cheap excuse to draw rule 34, not that huge of a deal, and most likely a lot of the artists that get requested to draw things in regards to said AU explicitly specify they do not take NSFW commissions/requests, nor do they draw it. And even if they do, some would be uncomfortable/not okay with it, given that the Chaquetrix, in a nutshell, surrounds a pre-pubescent minor having the ability to summon aliens whose sole purpose is literally to fuck, which to me is really concerning. But putting that aside, like I said prior. If you ask an artist and you get no as an answer, you shouldn't try to persuade/insist, they might just end up blocking/reporting you. And nor should you be making comparisons/claiming something is inspired by either AUs just because of similar ideas/themes revolving it.

As for my opinions on the Carnitrix and the Chaquetrix? I already said what I think of the Chaquetrix. But as for the Carnitrix; to put it shortly: promising idea/concept, poor execution story/plot wise and in my own opinion, poor to average/very hit or miss alien designs. Again, that's up to debate, those are just my opinions. To each their own. This will be the one and only time (hopefully) I'll touch on the subject. Now I go back to the kitchen to cook the next alien and plan what the hell I'm gonna do for the others.

One off topic note, once I hit 10 aliens (there is really no actual order of posting them, I just post them at random and whichever I make first), I'll start revealing characters in the story, so stay tuned for that :P

Ben Tennyson Dating a S/O Who Is Musically Gifted (Ben 10 Headcanon)

Ben found out about your talents by accident.

He turned up to your house to surprise you but was stood outside your bedroom door mesmerised by you.

You stopped as soon as you noticed he was there.

“How long have you been standing there?”

“For a while. I never knew you could play violin, or sing for that matter! Why didn’t you tell me?” 

“I-I didn’t want to. Truth is, I don’t think I’m very good. I only do it to keep myself occupied. 

He walked over to you and wrapped you in his arms, kissing the top of your head. “You’re amazing, Y/N. Never think otherwise.”

Ever since he found out, he always wants you to sing for him. He loved hearing the sound of your voice. It soothed him when he was having a bad time.

“Sing to me, Y/N. I need to hear that beautiful voice of yours.” 

You lay down together on top of his bed, him laying on your chest as you began to sing one of his favourite songs. One that you knew would calm his nerves. What he didn’t know, however, was that you had been learning the chords of the song on your violin as a surprise. 

Ben looked very confused when you left the bed but when you started to play the chords, his smile soon lit up his face. At the end, he had tears in his eyes.

“Thank you, my darling. That was beautiful. I loved it.” 

Ben always tried his best to keep your confidence up by suggesting new songs for you to learn and would always listen when you were ready to play.

You had even began to write your own songs, thanks to the confidence boosts from him. 

At the beginning you didn’t want anyone to know about your secret talents but thanks to the love and support from Ben, you couldn’t wait to share them with the world.

Interview with the Omnitrix

With the Hybreed defeated and a new playlist of aliens to figure out, Ben let himself enjoy the parties going on at home and gave Ken the pout of his life when he was denied any alcohol.  “If I’m old enough to save the galaxy from genocide, I think I’m old enough to drink.”  Apparently, it didn’t work that way, but Mom agreed with Ben and he got a whole 8 ounces of some fruity blend of stuff.  He was dizzy the rest of the night on into his sleep.

When the celebrations were done with, Ben found himself sitting in his room, staring down at the Omnitrix.

“We saved the whole galaxy because you can alter genes on the fly.  Can you… can you answer me if I ask you questions?”

In his own voice, the watch responded, “Affirmative.”

“Would’ve been great to know but that’s my fault for not checking I guess.  So, the way that you returned the DNAliens back to human form, would you be able to fix Albedo back to his original form too?”

“Affirmative.”

“Well, that’s on the list I guess.  Ben 10,000 mentioned putting a lock on you, is there a way to make sure other people can’t transform me without my consent?”

“Affirmative, morph lock currently disengaged.  Would you like to engage the morph lock?”

“Oh my god, yes!  Engage morph lock, please.”  The watch beeped twice, then clicked, and Ben pumped his fist in the air.  “Awesome!  Okay, what else… hey, how come back when I was a kid you turned me into the wrong alien and timed out at random?”

Ben swore he felt judgment that wasn’t his hitting him from all sides.  “During referenced time of 2004 A.D. to 2005 A.D. Omnimatrix Model 1.00 was far more delicate and susceptible to glitches and damage.  User Ben Tennyson only activated the primary transformation function properly once: the very first time.”

Ben sucked on his teeth with a wince.  “Is slamming your dial the problem?”

“Transformation countdown was randomized with each excessively forceful activation.  Morph randomization is a result of built-up damage and errors typical of any prototype.  Morph randomization has since been fixed, and morph duration reliant on charge.”

Ben tilted his head, scratching his neck.  “Alright, that brings me to another question that paying attention in science class and going on adhd spirals on the internet has had me confused about.  Nothing comes from nothing, so where do you get your charge?”

“Original power source: pocket dimension crafted by First Thinker Azmuth, to which an increasing number of black holes lead, filling it with white holes.  Current secondary source: user Ben Tennyson’s excess mana, which would otherwise damage User Ben Tennyson’s body.”

Well shit.

“Elaborate on the mana part.”

“User: Ben Tennyson produces large quantities of previously unknown energy, now classified as mana.  Other sapient beings are observed to produce varying quantities of mana, the smallest being found in Galvanic Mechamorphs.  User’s human body is insufficient for containment of natural mana production.  Previous glitches involving excess mana generation include manifestation of consciousness within ectonurite genomorph.

“Reference: Verdona Tennyson of Anodine indicates failure to regulate User’s excess mana production will result in User’s human body becoming a mass of mana charged plasma, similar to the revealed true form of Verdona Tennyson.” late User’s excess mana production will result in User’s human body becoming a mass of mana charged plasma, similar to the revealed true form of Verdona Tennyson.”

Ben took a deep breath in for 4 seconds, held it for 4 more, and let it out over the course of 4 seconds.

“Asking Grandma about that is also on my to do list, at the top probably.  I just need to figure out how to contact her.”  Ben rubbed his temples and considered whether or not he could handle more answers to his questions.

“Hey omnitrix, are you able to change my human body?”

“Affirmative.”

“… Have you changed my human body in the past?”

“Negative.”

After a moment of making the kinds of changes most teenage boys would when presented with that kind of opportunity, Ben furrowed his brows in thought.

“Hey, Ship remembers all of the things he’s upgraded, so how come when I was Upgrade I never kept the blueprints for all the stuff I upgraded?”

“Galvanic Mechamorphs are completely mechanical entities with nanites in place of cells.  The Galvanic Mechamorph stores consciousness and memories very differently from how a human being does.  Maintaining a record of your memories and consciousness during the disassembly and reconstruction of your brain is no small task.”

Ben nodded, shrugging.  “Too complicated to do when you’ve got more important things to prioritize, got it.  So, before I go and figure out the new aliens you’ve given me, I’ve got one more question.

“If my excess mana brought Ghost Freak to life, are you alive?”
