Ninjago headcanons just FSM family
(Sorry for my English but it is not my native language)
1#
Lloyd discovered one day that if he just calls Wu uncle he can get out of any trouble (because Wu adores his nephew), which he often uses to his advantage, for example, when he was still a child, he would often approach Wu and ask for various things, and if Wu did not agree, he would simply say "Okay, Uncle Wu" in the saddest voice he could, which made Wu immediately change his mind and agree. As Lloyd got older he stopped using it as much but still does it sometimes. Best of all, everyone is aware of this except Wu himself, so if the ninja want to do something and know that Wu won't agree, they send Lloyd to "convince" Wu.
2#
FSM was a teenage parent, I'm mean in season 15 it was said that when he came to ninjago he was still a child and as we know hybrids age differently so I'm sure when he created Wu and Garmadon (I don't give a damn that this man had a woman, I just don't see it) he was still a teenager and mentally he could have been about 18-20 years old.
3#
I'm sure FSM tried to be a good parent but didn't know what to do, apart from the fact that he was still a teenager at the time, this man never had any idea what a healthy family should look like, he literally was a child soldier and had to choose between dragons and Oni and I suspect that neither the dragons or the Oni were not very nice to him and they probably didn't have much affection for him. And unfortunately it was visible, but he loved his sons (and he certainly loves his grandson).
4#
So screw the canon, Wu never loved Misako, he didn't like her at first (because he claimed she was stealing his brother because Garmadon only talked about her), later he started liking her and then they became good friends.
5#
So when I said that Wu doesn't love Misako, I mean that Wu is gay, no really look at the teenage version of him, he can't be straight.
6#
I am sure that Wu was the creator of many fashion trends, considering that back then there was not much fashion and Wu had the power to create, he had to create many clothes that no one had ever seen before. Many of these clothes were very sexy and revealed a lot of things.
7#
Due to the way Wu dressed, many men stared at him and flirted with him, which of course neither Garmadon or their father not liked, that's why they never sent Wu to the city alone, someone always went with him and whenever a man tried to hit on him he got a death glare from Garmadon or FSM (which must have been terrifying, as if God himself wants to kill you because you thought in a erotic way about his son and also Garmadon who is the essence of destruction and intends to rip out your organs for looking at his younger brother).
8#
FSM loves his grandson, the guy literally gave him his golden power without a second thought and even let him choose between life and death, he must adore Lloyd.
9#
Before the events of Season 1, when Lloyd was expelled from school and wandered the streets, FSM was his guardian angel. He made sure Lloyd didn't hurt himself, and when he did something to himself, he simply accelerated his regeneration with his divine powers, when Lloyd had nothing to eat, he directed him to places where food could be easily obtained. In episode 1 of season 1, when Lloyd gets to the tomb, he falls over perfectly to avoid being hypnotized and the leader of the snakes hypnotized himself, it not way that this kid failed perfectly, I'm actually sure that his grandfather helped him

au where I mix up all of the Ninja's powers and backstories into a slushie mess and see what happens.
So far I have:
Wu gets bitten by the Great Devourer and becomes super manipulative and toxic, as he tries to make Ninjago perfect, neat, and orderly with the Golden weapons. (Think lord business from the lego movie) Too bad he refuses to use his Oni side to obtain four arms to use them together.
Garmadon still trains under Chen and practices the Dark arts, but understands the balance of good and evil, and is filled with guilt over the fact that Wu got bitten when it should have been him. Wu, who doesn't like that Garmadon leans into "evil" practices and banishes him to the underworld.
The Green Ninja is Morro, who is biologically Wu’s son. (yeah, you thought canon morro was bad, this morro is so much worse since he's literally the weapon in making Ninjago in Wu's image) His personality is pretty much the same as canon (perfectionist, obsessive, crazy) it's just that he is in fact the Green Ninja and Wu enables him a lot.
Before everyone figures out that Morro is the Green Ninja, they think it might be Kai, who is the brother of Maya and has the power of Wind. He's Morro's replacement in this au, in the sense that he is also desperate to become the Green Ninja by whatever means necessary, and Wu pits Morro and Kai in a rivalry to see who becomes the Green Ninja. And Morro, who cannot fail his father, becomes violent and kills Kai. Kai isn't great in this au either and ends up in the cursed realm and later becomes a ghost.
Misako sees how problematic Wu is and after Garmadon gets banished, she runs away with baby Lloyd and tries to take Morro too, but Wu freaks out and thinks she tried to kidnap Morro so that she could use the Green Ninja's power for her own gain and he kills her to "save Morro," and thinks he kills Lloyd too.
Lloyd's actually fine, and just grows up at Darkley's until he gets adopted by the Royal Family, much to his dismay, and becomes the Quiet One who is willing to punch a dude to get his dad back. Because he doesn't have his powers, he relies a lot on his dragon and Oni heritage.
Nya is the only child of Ray and Maya, and when they disappear, Chen finds and adopts her, and she becomes the sister of Skylor. Despite having the element of fire, she relies heavily on mechs, and loves to invent, letting her sister use her powers while she designs Chen’s button chair.
Pixal is Ninja of Ice and still was created by Cyrus Borg, so Zane is still in the Birchwood Forest, forgotten and stuck there until Lloyd finds him and offers him a place in the cult group he’s starting.
Cole's dad dies, and while he tries to honor his dad's dancing legacy, he still inherits his powers and is forced to become a ninja. He's still a popular entertainer and pretty well known in Ninjago as such, and he really doesn't want to be a Ninja full-time and is only doing it because he's scared of what Wu will do to his loved ones. I do not know what power he should get and I am open to ideas.
Jay was raised as Cliff Gordon's son and so he's wealthy but he is also extremely talented in robotics. He and Cyrus Borg collaborate a lot and is best friends with Pixal. He does not have powers and tries to help Cole get out of the team. Honestly, I have no idea about Jay either.
Harumi releases the Serpentine after her parent sends her to a boarding school and forget about her. She does not want to be forgotten, and in a rage over it, discovers she can control Lightning.
Morro finds her and takes her in, reassuring her that there is a place for her on his team.
The team consists of Morro, Ash, Cole, Pixal, and now Harumi, all trained under Wu.
And then Lord Garmadon crawls out of the Underworld, eyes glowing purple and with four arms, demanding to see his son, and everyone starts to panic because they are pretty sure Lloyd is dead.

Steam siblings AU time! Some plot ideas I've been having.
Pilot season: Nya and Kai are running the shop and Wu comes and goes. Skeletons home and go. And Kai is now a ninja. Shit stays the same, but Kais spinjitsu is red…. AND BLUE! Others are weirded out but move on.
Same shit but when the volcano scene happens, Nya is hot-headed as Kai uses the Golden sword and it responds to her. She can use it to the fullest extent like Kai. Now Garmadon is very confused and so is Wu when he shows up.
Wu: “How is Nya using the fire sword? She is a water elemental!”
Nay and Kai: “A what?”
Shit goes mostly the same and only when they get back to the monastery do they examine the whole situation.
So they do some tests. Kai and Nya can make and use fire. But Nya can also use water. Wu is having a great time reading scrolls and books looking for answers for days. Kai is a little jealous, but also a little relieved, because is still scared of water. But, low and behold, he is also a water elemental.
These tests are very hard on them because they are inpatient people and anytime they try to use the same power at the same time, the other can't use it. They take that as a sign of failure. It takes them some time to figure it out.
After they realize it, they decide that Kai uses fire and Nya water as their main power.
The serpentine season will be different and the same. Like Pythor will do the same shit, but snakes are more sympathetic and Wu is a bit snakist. The ninja will be the peacemaker between the humans and the snakes. This is inspired by No Wu AU by IdkWhereIAmWhatAmIDoing. A great fix, read it. NOW.
Lloyd is a child. Either he's the one that releases the snakes or they find him in the trash can. I like him being a menace, so he might release the snakes.
Garmadon might not help with the great devour. But he knows that Llyod is the green ninja. Misaki knew, so ain't no way that she didn't tell Garmadon this. Or Garmadon knowing the prophecy and thinking he is the great evil that Lloyd will face (spoilers, it's the overlord). But Wu doesn't, I mean why would he? Misako and Garmadon are trying to prevent the prophecy and they might think that Wu will ‘force’ Llyod to fight or train as a ninja.
The overlord saga will happened by Garmadon never teaming up with the snakes, but going to the bad Island.
So Gramaboy is trying to get power or run from the prochecy by going to the island that literal evil can't escape. That way he can keep his son safe.

Round 1B: Marcy Wu (Amphibia) vs. Maria Ushiromiya (Umineko: When They Cry)
Propaganda under the cut
Marcy Wu:
She is literally a 13 year old in a codependent relationship with her two childhood best friends and the entire fandom makes her out to be worse than the actual bad guy of the show (who canonically kills children, commits genocide, and invented frog racism) because she made a sub-optimal decision in an emotional state. She was terrified of losing her (only) friends and made a rash decision that had u forseen consequences because who would ACTUALLY believe the „magic box“ she found would actually be magic on an otherwise normal Earth. „She didnt make up for what she did“ SHE LITERALLY WAS STABBED TO DEATH BY SOMEONE SHE TRUSTED WITH A GIANT FLAMIG SWORD AND HAD HER BODY USES AS A PUPPET WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT
Maria Ushiromiya
She's really obsessed with occult and witch stuff and acts inappropriately when her family gets murdered because she was told by the culprit that everyone was going to the Golden Land (a super special witch afterlife where you get whatever you want). She also has meltdowns like any autistic child. Because of this, some Umineko fans say that she deserves to get abused by her mother.
----
People really do be saying that this literal nine year old who's been abused and neglected by her mom for her whole life is evil
----
Some people in the Umineko fandom have decided that she's annoying because she's a 9 year old with autism. Personally I think she's based. She has a hard life but still tries her hardest to see the goodness in everything. She's kind, even feeling sorry for a wilting flower and hoping it'll get better. She's a very smart young girl who just isn't given the proper love a child needs from their parents to thrive. She deserved SO, SO much better than the cards life dealt her. I mustn't talk too much else I'll get emotional but Maria is peak.Best autistic witch girl.

Songs the Ninjago Fandom is Sleeping on.
So I have like a bunch of songs and animatic ideas for the Ninjago fandom to do what they please with, cause chronic hand pain makes long projects like animatics kinda hard so instead I'm throwing them out to yall! (Song-artist)
SOPILERS FOR LITERALLY EVERYHTING RELATING TO NINJAGO (This includes Dragons rising, the spinjitzu brothers books and the Garmadon comics)
Also please remember this is for fun so be nice.
Survivors Guilt- Coma Cinema: Okay oaky so hear me out: eldest child angst. This could work for both Garmadon and Kai, because both of them are just SUCH older siblings in more than just the literal way you know? Like I think it fits especially with Garmadon because it's about feeling like you're a bad person and how it might fuck up someone else life in the process. To me I think it fits, cause like to me it's so clear Garmadon is the elder sibling TM and Wu is the stressed out younger sibling golden child. Lyrics: "And I don't care and I don't know why maybe I'm no good inside" the way this totally works for how Garmadon tries to act like he doesn't care in Spinjitzu Brothers but is like constantly stressed about whether or not he's a good person.
Seven Nation Army- The White Stripes: I don't have like any major reasons for this song other than it being SUPER Wyldfyre/Kai core lol (at least in the early seasons before he mellowed out a bit), like the song is literally someone sing about how they feel like how they could take on armies if necessary so take that as you will!
Viper- Derivakat: For starters I didn't know this was a Minecraft song until I went to look up the lyrics buuuuuuut oh well mine now! Could definitely be used for either the Great Devourer or the Serpentine, but I think it be cool if someone used the song for the Great Devourer and the venoms effect on Garmadon and how it really kinda fucked up his life. I think it'd just be neat. Lyrics: "Run, run, run as fast as you can out of the fire and into my hand" (Could def be used for Garmadon and the Great Devourer or Pythor and Lloyd) "Abandon your pride cause you've dug your own grave" and "Getting all up in your head make you lose your mind again" (Again would work pretty great for Garmadon or season one Lloyd and Pythor)
The Well- The Crane Wives: Now this song is perfect for season 6 Jay in my opinion since it's got some wish related lyrics which work well for the Nadakan plot, plus people getting "dragged down" could be the other ninja getting absorbed into the sword. I'm not to big on this season or Jay but even I can tell this song works WELL for him (get it well? I'll see myself out). Lyrics: "Like spare coins, poised on the tip of my tongue I make a wish and hold my breath" This could not only be the making wishes part but also Jay getting "spare coins" aka his bio fathers money and house after he dies, "I'm the well they're gonna drag you down" again this could be used for the ninja being dragged into the sword "All the words I couldn't say to you" His pinning over Nya obviously. And lastly "I taste blood I'm sick of swallowing stones" Could be his trauma after Nadakan is defeated or when he was beat up in the fight thing.
Viva La Vida (But epic)- Reinaeiry (I just like this version best but any works): Could totally work for Lloyd post merge, him being lonely in this new world and forced to be a hero in the shadows. Y'all could also probably do something with the FSM but like I'm not exactly sure what. This one's a little more for the vibes tbh.
Parasite- Set It Off: When I tell yall this is great for Harumi and Lloyd, like it'd work so well as a song for her trying to manipulate and twist his mind. The name says it all it's literally telling someone they'd wished they'd never been born and that they don't help society, sound like anyone familiar? Also if y'all just want a song for like a villain arch for Lloyd this would also probably work tbh. Lyrics: "Leeching off my pain never satisfied" Totally could work for Harumi being mean and manipulative or Lloyd getting angry and being honest with her. "Strike a nerve or wreck a home hoping you get a response" This could totally be used literally cause of Harumi's whole... you know dead parent situation.
Matilda- Harry Styles: I know I know what you're saying, Harry Styles? But I promise this song is actually wonderful. This could work RIDICOULOUSLY well for Sora. The song is a lot about how you can go on to live a life and you don't have to include your bioparents or family in it if you don't want to which is SO Sora. Like I feel like all the lyrics work well for how Imperium and her parents drained her and I just love it! Then second you could also view this as kind of a Cole song. I know the fandom is kind of split on whether or not him and his father really make up and I'm gonna be honest I don't really think they do. Unlike Jay, Zane, Lloyd as well as Kai and Nya to an extent (once they get their parents back) all at least interact with their parents and clearly have somewhat of a relationship with them (Kai and Nya less so but they have the excuse of being adults by the time they get their parents back). Cole on the other hand doesn't really have the same thing, like he has the episode where he makes up with his father but after that Lou doesn't really have many other major appearances so I think they're on good terms but not that close ya know? Idk just my opinion lol. Unrelated but the song is honestly so eldest daughter-core and I just wanted to mention that.
Uhhhh that's all for now, let me know if y'all just want me to compile all this into a playlist to listen to cause I totally will. Any who just want to restate this is all my opinion and I love this show <3
Hope y'all have a great day/night PEACE OUT.

Thoughts about Ninjago DR S2 eps 18-20 (finale):
I'll put the summary here so the spoilers can stay hidden. Overall, I think this might be my favorite part of Dragons Rising so far. So many things have been improved upon by leagues from season 1, with the villains being more likable, the setting and plot way more interesting, the new characters growing into their own, no more filler side plots, even the humor is better. While of course it wasn't flawless it is finally making me excited and eager to see the next season, rather than cautious and apprehensive, and not even just because I want to see the OG characters, but because I'm genuinely invested in the new gen ones.
And now for the spoilers:
Lmao Zeatrix went all uwu suddenly with that apology. But it is nice to see she's not an all the way bad person like her sister (maybe). Wonder what she'll do now?
Wyldfyre schooling her on how to apologize was so cute haha. And her suggestion of punishment hilarious. (Also when are we going to get more about how she grew up??)
It's fun seeing Wyldfyre and Arin as a duo together (despite how sad it is that Arin is still rebuffing Sora).
"Normal people lock doors. I was raised by dragons and even I know that." So many good Wyldfyre moments in this episode.
Okay Lloyd is unconscious but Zane and Cole are RIGHT THERE to help you instead Sora, you know they're spinjitzu masters too right? Heck they LITERALLY used to be teachers at one point!
Aw, Frak is a good boy actually, I like him.
The way Sora balanced on her tiptoes at the edge like that was cool haha
When Jordana handed Sora the note with the math equation on it my sister said "Sora, help me with my homework", and for some reason that made me and my other sister crack up so much we had to pause the video.😆
Yeah knew it, Roby was a red herring, of course the old guy who likes tradition is the bad one.🙄
Ahahaha Arin jumping on the exercise ball and it launching away was too real. XD
I'm not a fan of shows making young characters not know what older technology is, so I was glad that Arin called it a rotary phone, BUT it was also funny when Wyldfyre said she still doesn't know what they are because in HER case it actually makes sense.
Also my sisters reminded me that Lloyd, who's likely close to a decade older than Arin, didn't know what a VHS tape is, which makes it even funnier.
Woah woah woah what the heck that evil lair was DISTURBING, bro wants to murder his own nephew!
Love we're still continuing the joke that no one can remember Jordana's name.
Yooooo Lloyd saw Arin betraying him in a vision!😭 This boy is going to get traumatized worse than Wu with Morro.
Oh okay, Cole temporarily got his powers back through the Chekhov's gun mech, sure. I mean it's not the first time characters have gotten their powers back after losing them just through sheer will, and you know what, this isn't even the worst way it's been done, so whatever. Also guess the mech really did belong to Lilly.
Lloyd used wind!!! That feels SO satisfying somehow. Just imagine Morro's reaction if he'd seen. XD
Yikes, freaky mask...
Wyldfyre is a smart cookie with that switcheroo.
Oh my gosh, Cole's reaction to seeing Wu was so sweet, he missed him so much.😭
He really asked if he died omg
Sora's apology to Jordana was so sweet, I hope she heard it all.
Zur is revealed to actually be a very nice guy haha. (Had to search up his name though, seriously why are all the names of the new characters so unintelligible?)
I like that Arin feeling even more betrayed that Lloyd didn't immediately leave Sora's fight to deal with his revelation that Wu caused the merge, felt believable; he's young and already not in a good mental space right now, and mixed with his anger at Sora and not having learned proper spinjitzu from Lloyd, it's no wonder he'd feel especially bitter towards Lloyd not giving him more credence in favor of helping Sora, the new golden child, even if that's not what Lloyd was doing. Like really, Arin's whole "turning to the dark side" arc is written crazy good!
Lmao why was Geo cheering Nokt's win??
Nothing like making sure the audience knows your new protagonist is better than the old ones by having the previous protagonist tell her so. Hey I know that's just Lloyd trying to be a good teacher by encouraging her after her loss but still, that line felt kinda self-indulgent on the writers' part.
What do you know, someone evil took all the powers and stopped you from taking them back with the cup, Roby. Actually, what's the point in giving all the powers to the winner in the end when they're gonna return to their original owners anyway? It's not like they'd need them to fight.
So uhhh was it PLANNED by Nokt and Rox for Sora the tech master to be their final opponent? Cause there's no way they could've known that (especially considering her first match was rigged to sway in her opponent's favor), much less that she would've used her powers to remove the shock collar thingy.
DANG Ras not holding back with that warhammer, that looked painful! XD
Nya came back! Without Jay but I'm glad she's not missing the finale.
Again, Frak is a good boy. He deserved to say that "ninja go"
"I sincerely detest rising dragon" lmao at that line delivery XD
Oh my God Roby, how long does it really take to activate that cup thing?? Stop talking and just do it!
THAT 360 FIGHT AGAINST NOKT WAS SO COOL!
"How did you learn perfect spinjitzu?" "Not from you." BRO I KNOW I WANTED ARIN TO THROW IT IN HIS FACE BUT THAT WAS SO COOOOLD!!😩
Okayyy see Wyldfyre roaring in Roby's face instead of going for the kiss? That's more in character for her and really funny. And Roby just going with it? Very sweet.Still, glad this is going to stay a long distance relationship.
KAAAAIIII! Kai coming to save their butts! Kai soloing Nokt! Kai saying "don't you dare touch her"!!!
Nokt really said he would end Kai with his own daughter's powers, I can't
Love Euphrasia taking out Cinder immediately after they got their powers back. XD Good girl!
I really felt Lloyd and Sora's heartbreaking cries for Arin, it's just like seeing a father and daughter losing their son/brother.😭
Awwww the group hug tackle on Kai!
But... I'm a little disappointed Kai and Cole couldn't get their own moment together, since they're reuniting for the first time after the merge.
Aww but the Cole and Bonzle hug was cute.
Look, I don't dislike Sora as a character or anything, but calling her the "greatest elemental master of the merged realms" isn't sitting right with me. She only won by default against Nokt, without even knowing rising dragon technique, and probably would've lost to Frak too if he hadn't had a change of heart. The entire tournament was purposefully written so that she'd be the winner; Nya would've beaten Nokt if Blekt hadn't cheated, and Lloyd was disqualified for being injured, not even to speak again of how Zane was taken out like garbage for no reason in the first round, without it even having been rigged like Cole's game was. Maybe this wouldn't bother me so much if Sora wasn't designed to look so obviously appealing to the "new gen" crowd with her pink-haired catgirl thing going on, I mean she looks just like an overly designed fan OC, but the fact that she's a child genius, and always being told by others how amazing she is - except of course by the people who were completely wrong about her and were getting in the way of her potential - and now being celebrated as "the best" mostly by circumstance... is kinda making her dangerously close to becoming a special snowflake in my book.
Oh hey it's Frohicky lol. Can't say I really felt his absence.🤷♀️
Love that Kai promised Nya they'd find Jay together, best big brother for real.
Lloyd already putting Arin's picture up like he departed, what is it with these ninja overreacting 🤣
*chants* ev-il Ar-in ev-il Ar-in!

I love your VT au so much! Misako is one of my favourite characters so whenever someone gives her an actually good back story it makes my heart mushy /pos
I have a few like random ideas/thoughts, feel free to ignore them though:
does darkley's exist in this universe? and since it later became Wu's academy, would it become Garmadon's academy?
does everyone in ninjago find out Wu was bad this whole time and realise Garmadon is a good guy and like support him or is everyone terrified of him or something?
does lloyd like the ninja? considering they're like celebrities in this would he think they're super cool or would he think they're bad, either disliking them because he has different interests or would he be told they're working for someone bad?
does Lloyd still like comic books? also, does he introduce the gang to his favourite comics and stuff? I can just imagine a RGB sibling interaction like this:
L: so, I realise you two had literally no childhood. So I, your amazing younger brother, have come bearing gifts
K: no offence but we're a bit too old for kid stuff
N: Yeah, we've been ninja basically our whole lives. we don't really need this stuff. Thanks though
L: *reveals a pile of comic books, old kid show DVDs, action figures and plushies*
Kai and Nya proceed to spend the next week reading all the comics, watching all the shows and playing with the toys. Lloyd takes over their chores while they both heal their inner child
okay thats all! I love this AU, and all your posts are super cool! have a good day 🫶
Thank you!!! I'm glad you like it so much!!
As for your questions:
Darkleys I think will still exist, but instead of being a school where kids are taught to be evil, I think I'm gonna make it a boarding school for Ninjago's royalty/upper class. So a different type of evil school. Misako and Clouse both went when they were younger.
After his plans with the Great Devourer go awry, his Nindroid army is shut down, and the Emperor himself calls for an audience with Wu to yell at him for not catching Garmadon yet, Wu kinda snaps. He forges the Mega Weapon after holding off for a few weeks after finally getting all four Golden Weapons, and uses it to usurp the throne and take complete control of the city.
So by the time Wu is defeated, everyone knows that he was the true bad guy. And the cities thoughts on Garmadon after everything is said and done are very mixed.
Overall most of the city regard him as a hero, since he not only killed the GD with his bare hands but also evaporated an arm and almost died to use the Mega Weapon to stop Wu.
But there's a fair amount of superstition regarding Oni in Ninjago, most of it negative.
So there's also a fair amount of people who feel he should be monitored at the very least, locked up or even executed to ensure he can't do to the city what he did to the Great Devourer if he gets annoyed.
And there's a small-ish group who believe that he's the Green Ninja, and that him defeating Wu was the Prophecy being fulfilled. They are kind of a semi-rabid fan club for him.
At first Lloyd thinks the Ninja are awesome. He and Harumi (they're childhood friends and next door neighbors before the Great Devourer attack) liked to play games where they were the Ninja, and were even planning on dressing up as the Green Ninja (Harumi) and Lord Garmadon (Lloyd) for Day of the Departed.
Then the Great Devourer attacks New Ninjago City.
And Lloyd's Dad, who he thought was dead his whole life, comes back.
And he's stinking Lord Garmadon.
And soon the Ninja, the cool, real-life superheroes he and his best friend would pretend to be, are hunting him down, their minds magically manipulated by their teacher, Lloyd's own Uncle.
Right after Wu's defeat, Lloyd is still pretty spooked by the Ninja, but after a few months where everyone is recovering and then all the Tournament stuff, Lloyd warms up to the Ninja and they start to grow fond of him as well.
Lloyd still loves comic books, and is appalled when he finds out that Kai wasn't allowed to play any video games or read any comics or do anything actually fun, and he's borderline distressed when he first meets Nya and she had never heard of Starfarer in her life.
He sort of takes it upon himself as the one with the most normal childhood to be the 'authority' on how to be a normal kid and do normal kid things like MarioKart, eating junk food, pranking people, teenage rebellion (sure he's like 11, but he's watched a lot of teens on tv, and that counts, right?), and shapeshifting.
Lloyd actually did have the most normal childhood out of literally every member of the main cast up until the plot happens. It wasn't super normal, but it's still more normal than what anyone, teen or adult, went through.

OC Dump: Minne
So, the main OC for the Rewrite/Plothole Fix AU is Minne.
She has no last name (cause no one from the FSM family does) and is the last child of the First Spinjitzu Master. There’s kind of a huge age gap between her and Garmadon and Wu because she was created for a specific reason (that comes later in the story), so she’s centuries younger.
She was the elemental master of aether, quite literally the balance between Wu’s light and Garmadon’s darkness. Between the three of them, her power was the strongest, but her filial piety towards her father is bad. She’s come to dislike him (although, that’s a pretty mild term for it) while also, hating on the Cloud Kingdom (this is the only place where arson is totally allowed).
It’s stated that she takes on the appearance of an older teenager with brown hair, unlike the golden hair she had as a child. Similar to Lloyd, who’s headcanon involves shuffling traffic light eye colors, Minne has changing eye colors. Her golden eyes when using the powers of the Golden Weapons; her purple serpentine eyes when she’s rather pissed at something; her brown eyes when she’s calm and tranquil (of course she had silver eyes at one point but that went out of the window at her banishment-).

Masters of Spinjitzu - React
These were my thoughts rewatching the pilot season of Ninjago. There’s a lot of references to things that will happen in my rewrite, but hopefully they’re not too spoilery for now.
Way of the Ninja
8:49 So we don't know how long it took them to get to the Monastery of Spinjitzu, but it does take 7 days for Kai to complete his training/the other Ninja to get back
8:57 So since Kai's staying there for multiple nights, it stands to reason that he catches a glimpse of Zane, Cole, and Jay's rooms, and also Morro's
10:39 The reason Cole, Zane, and Jay are in their suits and sneaking by is because they got back late and didn't want to wake Wu. Their mission likely had to do with a Skulkin sighting, possibly in Jamanakai Village, where they were looking for the map. After all, the Montgomerys are from Jamanakai and it stands to reason the map may be held by Garmadon's wife.
10:50 Originally the Ninja weren't planning to fight Kai, but they popped down into the bathroom to find him mock-fighting himself in the mirror, and proceeded to 'punch first ask questions later'
The Golden Weapons
11:51 Fighting the others wasn't actually Wu's final test, but he decided to roll with it rather than admit to not communicating with people
13:05 Zane's foresight and visions of the future are intrinsically linked with his abilities as Master of Ice; the previous Master of Ice probably rubbed the Time Twins the wrong way since he could see the future.
14:15 At this point they probably share stories of how long they've been training with Wu, how they met each other, and some scar stories [like Jay burning off part of his eyebrow with a welding torch]. Kai isn't going to be receptive to questions about his scar, but Cole's likely gonna reassure him because despite Cole's status as an only child that man has immense Big Brother energy
15:14 The moment where we see Wu offering Zane tea underwater is most likely Kai's imagination, sparked by the fact that in Cole and Jay's stories he was just right there waiting for them with tea.
15:32 The original team dynamic had Cole as the Leader, Jay as the Lancer, and Zane as the Smart Guy; Kai's presence obviously throws a wrench in this, but they sort it out eventually [Kai takes Jay's place as the Lancer, with Jay becoming the Heart/Funny Guy]
15:43 Kai's running off reminds Wu of Morro, and not in a good way
18:47 The order of figuring out Spinjitzu goes Jay, Kai, Zane, and Cole
19:25 Rocky was so calm when they were pulling out the scythe because Kai was there
20:56 Wu's really harsh on Kai for some reason
King of Shadows
00:24 Just occurred to me that Wu likely had to help Cole through his eating disorder
2:14 Really need to figure out what the hell is up with the floating ruins
2:18 How are Samukai and the Skulkin getting at these places when they no longer have the map?
2:28 Just judging by his True Potential moment and what Wisp is capable of, magically appearing in a burst of lightning is a legit ability of the element
2:38 They really should use Jay's gliders more often darnit. One use in the pilots and one reference in the first season isn't nearly enough.
2:46 Note that Cole is still comfortable with and enjoys music despite his issues about his parents
3:34 Cole 100% fell asleep on the bongos because he wanted to make sure everyone else was okay and sleeping restfully first. Addendum - he likely noticed Kai had trouble sleeping some other nights, and helped him with nightmares about losing Nya.
3:45 How did no one wake up to Kai shouting right next to them
6:19 I'm thinking one of those shadows may have bruised Kai's ribs given how he struggled to get up. That or knocked the wind out of him.
7:11 Flame pops up but doesn't use lethal force [firebreath] immediately, because literally everyone in front of him is of dragon blood and that's just not cool
7:28 People Pulling A Sensei Count: Wu: 1
7:53 Real interesting, that dragon wing imagery behind Kai...
8:37 Frickin' smooth Jay
9:25 Jay definitely runs the fastest of the four currently
10:02 I'm saying Jay suffers temporary vocal cord paralysis here
Weapons of Destiny
12:04 Yeah, sorry Nya, your father didn't tell you jack. That would've been stories shared in the community that your mother and father used to tell
12:16 Flame also became a softie because y'all are dragons yourselves
13:46 I think dragon travel is like that no matter where they're going, so when Firstbourne and the others come back in s9 it's like that too
19:33 The portal doesn't necessarily go to the Realm of Madness, it just takes you to the realm you want to go to; Garmadon just chose that realm
Secrets of the Blacksmith
00:27 The 'now that I'm moving in with you guys' makes me think there's a lot of setup to this
Flight of the Dragon Ninja
2:40 This one really isn't that necessary, but I could probably work something in. And I'd drop the 'Ninja' off the title
3:37 So the mailman's on his way up the mountain, what mail is he bringing them?
The New Masters of Spinjitzu
4:55 Yeah not doing this one probably
An Under Worldly Takeover
6:13 I really like the concept of Cole going and asking Wu about things, I'm just gonna have to figure out the actual sequence of events for clarity
6:36 If he hadn't been sent there directly, would Garmadon have ended up in the Cursed Realm anyway?
6:46 Samukai really needs some backstory stat
Return to the Fire Temple
8:24 So I'm pretty sure that the places they went earlier - the Caves of Despair, Glacial Barrens and Floating Ruins - were each actually temples to their own element like the Fire Temple, just that in the case of the Earth Temple it'd been lost in the Caves of Despair and presumably collapsed
8:56 Probably gonna keep this one, but add stuff in other ones of Skulkin showing up places they shouldn't, and that closing the entrance in the Fire Temple leads to them not doing that anymore
Battle Between Brothers
10:31 Really not sure how this one's gonna go, since I'm not having it be that Garmadon was going for the Golden Weapons directly - timeline doesn't add up - and I don't want him getting struck by lightning, so I think what I'll do is have Wu's memorial kimono just be the kimono he had that matched Garmadon's, and have Garmadon be going for the map.
10:57 Let's just ignore the part where Garmadon casually breaks the FSM's staff in half when it clearly was intact in s5 to make the impressions

this is why i have an au for him because this is exactly what i see
like i always think of that scene when Wu is talking about him when he found Morro and kid Morro just looks up at him with such a frightened expression... He only ever wanted to make Wu proud... this poor kid had nothing. He went from having nothing to finally maybe having a parental figure who could care for him (and then i think about how someone on tumblr pointed out that even in Wu's training style he felt Morro at a distance) and that in my opinion is what made Morro fight harder.
Still don't get it? Imagine the only person who has even shown you kindness tells you you're special. You're someone who's been written about in a prophecy, you're a chosen one, and you're destined to save the world. Hearing that from the mouth of the only person who's ever cared about you makes you want to prove you're worthy, and while you might not believe you ARE worthy, he thinks you are. So you're constantly doing things to prove you are. Including some of the very cocky things Morro did as a child. You get more special treatment from him because he thinks you're special. You fight harder to be better and to earn more praise. Win win situation.
But then the day comes where it's time to find out if you really ARE the destined Green Ninja. You're anxious, but excited. But then the Golden Weapons don't react to you. Why aren't they reacting? No, no, Wu's always right, Wu knows what he's doing... right? You are the Green Ninja right? Wu told you so, and Wu's never wrong, right? Right...? Was the ritual wrong? Yes, surely that was it. But he looks at you with such disappointment it breaks you in half. You're so confused, so upset... so... angry. You have to be the Green Ninja, it's the only way you're worth anything to Wu. You have to fix this, you have to make this right, something is wrong with the universe. And even if deep down you know it's nothing wrong with the universe but rather you're just not the Green Ninja, you can't accept it, because that means you can't be special to the one who you care about most in the world. You know no matter what the Green Ninja will always matter more to him than you.
So you storm off, you yell, you scream. The universe is broken, it's not you. And you will do ANYTHING to prove you are the person he wants you to be, the person he told you you were. You have to fit in that mold if it means entirely rebuilding yourself piece by god damn piece. So much so it kills you. Literally. It literally kills you in your attempt to become something you could not.
And then you see Lloyd for the first time. After years and years of waiting and plotting for the right time. You began to have conflicting feelings for Wu sometime before you died, why would he lie to you? Why couldn't you just be special to him? He was the closest thing to a father or uncle you had and it was all taken away because you couldn't be who he wanted you to be. But it all comes flooding back the moment you set sights on Lloyd... who has everything you ever wanted, who is everything you always wanted to be, and who matters so very much to Wu in ways you could not.
You hate him. You hate that you want to be him. It tears you up inside. But just like when you were alive, you need him to love you... even if it means being a villain to finally obtain the powers and status for him to. And then comes the very last moment when you know you fucked everything up, you knew it from the beginning. Wu tells you that it's not too late, that you can be saved, but you see it in his old eyes. You hear it in his words. He did care. All this time he did. But he knew he could not save you if you didn't want to be from this never ending spiral of needing to be wanted... and so you let go, passing him the very thing that let you come back into the world.
"You cannot save those who do not want to be saved... Goodbye, sensei."
And then comes DOTD which to me is just... Morro healing his inner child by getting to spar with Wu one last time. He's still a little cocky, but it's light hearted now. He doesn't need Wu's praise anymore... he's finally healing and learning how to be his own person, or rather, ghost without him.
you guys get my insane twitter rambles right. right
#yes I am projecting onto Morro#But this is also my characterization for him because even if he was a little edgy ass brat#he still didn't fucking deserve to be vilified#and yes im aware this could go for harumi too but the thing is with harumi her entire villain arc makes no sense to me imo#like yes lloyd was indirectly responsible for the great devourer but it wasnt his fault because PYTHOR was the bastard who released him#she should be mad at pythor#not the ninja#matter of fact WHY DID SHE RESURRECT PYTHOR???#The thing is Wu made Morro who he was#Morro was a fucking child who only wanted to be loved#and I will stand by that

More Headcanons about FSM family
10#
As a child, Lloyd resembled his father, only he had a different hair color, but as he grew older, he began to look less and less like his father (seasons 2-7). In seasons 8-15 he started to look more like his grandfather when he was Lloyd's age until in season 16 he looked identical to FSM (When FSM was a teenager, of course) (apart from the eyes, FSM had one purple and the other gold)
11#
In some flashbacks we see FSM wielding a sword, so I say that FSM is a master swordsman, and considering that Lloyd became the second master of spinjitzu (The Ultimate Spinjitzu Master) in total and was supposed to learn FSM's fighting style, which brings us to the fact that Lloyd is a master swordsman, because in the series we only see him using a sword (I don't remember him fighting with any other weapon), so the best sword master was FSM (no one can match him then or now) and right behind him in second place is Lloyd.
12#
After season 10 and "Lloyd's death", Wu has nightmares that Lloyd didn't wake up, that they really lost him, every time he is terrified and goes to check if Lloyd is okay, Wu can't lose the last member of his family. One time when Wu went to check on Lloyd, he wasn't in the room and Wu almost had a panic attack, he searched around the monastery until he found Lloyd in the kitchen as soon as he saw him he ran to Lloyd and hugged him and didn't want to let go, while Lloyd was completely confused and a little scared, later they talked about it and from then on, Lloyd began to be more careful during missions so as not to give his uncle a heart attack.
13#
Lloyd, due to his heritage and elemental powers, is strongly connected to ninjago, if something threatens the land he can feel it, when all dimensions merged Lloyd felt great pain due to the ninjago lands being torn apart. After the fusion, he realized that because of this event he had scars on his chest that looked like cracks.
14#
Lloyd's golden power hurt him when he fought the Overlord, he didn't feel it because of the adrenaline, but later it turned out that the golden power was too powerful for Lloyd's body (mainly because of his human part) so after the fight he realized that it was on his hands (from his hands to his shoulders) scars appeared that looked like they had been struck by lightning, they were golden in color and when Lloyd used his power they began to glow. Lloyd, of course, didn't tell anyone and he just started traveling around ninjago to learn how to control it better and see if his body gets used to it. Lloyd still has those scars to this day and come on the golden power is gone the scars still glow when he uses his elemental power but this time in green.
15#
After becoming the Golden Ninja, Lloyd received many powers and improvements, for example, his healing became faster, he had greater endurance and improved senses but one of the strangest changes was that the blood turned gold, yes Lloyd had golden blood.
16#
Lloyd is literally the reincarnation of FSM, he has his powers, he can do what he does and he is a perfect hybrid (a combination of Oni, dragon and human) same as FSM (only FSM wasn't human but still a perfect hybrid).
17#
Due to his heritage and being the next incarnation of FSM, he has perfected Spinjitzu and uses it often in his fighting style (I don't know if it's just me, but Lloyd seems to use Spinjitzu more than the others)
18#
Due to the power he has and his connection to Ninjago, Lloyd when angry can cause cracks in the ground or mini earth tremors, which are usually harmless but still need to be careful, that's why Lloyd has the best composure of all the ninjas (well, except Zen)

I’ve just been stuck with the idea that Lloyd and Harumi are basically just like Wu and Garmadon. One of them is a literal golden child meant to represent good, light and Creation while the other is in the shadows of the golden child meant to represent evil, dark and Destruction.
Another similarity these four have ties back to the Great Devouer because of course. Have any of you ever noticed that Garmadon and Harumi had there lives greatly by a mistake Wu and Lloyd made? Wu with losing the sword and being afraid of how his father would react and Lloyd releasing the Serpentine trying to be like his father. It was almost indirectly but still.
Now my question is, how would Wu and Garmadon react to figuring out that Lloyd and Harumi are similar to them?

THINGS I REALLY WISH GARM HAD THE BRAINCELLS TO WISH FOR USING THE MEGA WEAPON...
(I'm just pissed someone got their hands on a wish granting souvenir and basically... wasted it)
1. A wish to instantly turn Ninjago into his image. - (sighs) My man did everything he could to get to that point without just wishing for it instantly himself and taking the easy route. I fucking love this guy. ❌
2. A cure for the goddamned venom. - you'd think this one would be the most obvious of them all right? But apparently our Dark Lord didn't see that it was so here we are. (Though, sometimes I headcannon that he DID in fact try it, but it didn't work. I mean, the Golden Weapons were made by the FSM and even HE couldn't cure his own son so...) I'll give this a pass. ✅
Okay, I know the first two are the obvious ones. But let's move on.
3. Go back in time and I don't know...maybe STOP the Devourer's bite from happening in the first place, I GUESS? For fuck's sake, my dude literally DID use the weapon to go back in time in Episode 19, but did he decide to use it for this? Oh hell, no. ❌ But imagine if he DID though, but something goes wrong and Wu gets bitten instead. And the next thing he knows, he's pulled back to the present (because I'm just going to pretend the Mega Weapon has some screwed-up time limit) and sees the future he caused...and tries to fix it. (Because absolutely nothing goes as planned in canon and fanon)
4. A wish to strip his son of the prophecy. - Look, I get it. You're horrified you have to fight your own child to death and you've somehow managed to kinda accept it in later episodes of Season 2. Okay. So why not just wish Lloyd wasn't the Green Ninja? It wouldn't even hurt him. - The wish could still somewhat backfire by the role going to someone like Kai or the other ninja for example. But do you have to still stomach the realization you have to destroy your own son? Well, not really, huh? ❌
5. A wish to turn Lloyd back into a child. - So he was ambushed by the ninja in Episode 19 and that was when he first saw his son's...growth spurt, I guess? He was straight up horrified, but was it because he realized Lloyd lost his childhood or because he knew that this meant the Final Battle was drawing closer? An easy fix would be to just make him younger instead of... opening a portal into the past. He'd have more time to prepare and plus, this would also mean Lloyd could still have a childhood. And I don't think the ninja would try to pressure Lloyd to take Tomorrow's Tea again, now that he's got a second chance. Maybe Lloyd would argue though, but I doubt they would've let him.

Thank you for asking for my opinion, that actually means so much that people genuinely trust me to offer a good opinion 🥹
Anyways-
About her being a good or bad person:
I also feel neutral about Misako. I agree she didn’t do the right thing leaving Lloyd all alone at darkleys with no family or friends to speak of. Yet at the same time I think she did the right thing searching for a way to help Lloyd not have to kill his father D:
That was always her goal, and yes she did traumatize Lloyd along the way. Her actions have left both good and bad marks on the world: Due to Lloyd never having a support structure he went down a similar path to Harumi where he awoke spirits of hatred and tried to control beasts beyond his reach, causing the serpentine to rise again and release the great devourer.
At the same time: Misako also gathered the scrolls which literally carried the ninja in S2 Part 2. Without the scrolls the ninja would’ve never gotten the elemental blades, Lloyd would’ve never became the golden ninja, hell I think they would’ve never even found the dark island itself!
So she’s done both good and bad things in her life, yet I’d argue she’s done more good than bad. She’s fought the overlord multiple times, helped Nya gain her powers, aided Wu when he was dying, took care of him when he was young, fought back against the Oni, forced Wu to go to Shintaro, explored the island and helped discover Wojira, and finally helped defeat the overlord again by discovering Dragon Form.
So to me, Misako is a good person.
About her being a good mother:
Off course everyone can discuss and bicker about Misakos decision to abandon Lloyd; yet to me that’s the only case I’ve seen of her being Lloyd’s mother. Misako to me may be Lloyd’s mother but she wasn’t really his mom. She wasn’t there for enough of his childhood to actually be judged on whether or not she was a good mother to him.
The only other times we see Misako being a mother is to Wu when he’s a child. Which she appears to do a pretty good job.
Something else id like to mention in regards to Lloyd actually forgiving his mother for what she did:
I heard this quote a big ago that goes: “When someone is wronged, and the abuser wants to apologize there are only three things that matter: does the abused forgive the abuser, does the abuser regret what they did, and has the abuser changed to become someone who will not abuse them again.”
I love it because I think when someone hurts someone the only person who can deem that the abuser should be forgiven is the one who was abused. It shouldn’t be anyone else’s choice besides the person who was hurt, because why do their feelings supersede the feelings of the one who was hurt.
This ties back to Misako because Lloyd forgave her. Despite hating her with a passion the day where he sees her again 7 years after she left him at Darkleys. Lloyd forgave her, so why is it in our power to decide if he should’ve or not?
That’s just an idea, I think I’m starting to support it more as I’ve typed this out. Thank you again for asking my opinion I’ve enjoyed this (:
GUYSSSS MISAKO CAT DOODLE.
THERES MORE PLS READ.
⚠️⚠️HEY NINJAGO FANDOM (and any others) I THINK WE ALL NEED TO HAVE A TALK. OK.⚠️⚠️ So for one dragons rising s2 part 1 comes out tomrrow for those in the United States and some other areas, but there’s also been some slight debates about Misako on tumblr (maybe not but I keep getting posts related to her).
and it’s a little annoying tbh. Well not annoying but difficult. Some posts are saying “Oh well misako wasn’t s good mom but the ninja weren’t better!” Which I am NOT trying to call anybody out or attack them. However yeah none of them were really ‘great’ at raising Lloyd however there’s also other factors that go into it as well.
I myself am more neutral about Misako. I don’t like her. But I’m willing to hear out genuine debates on her. However yes, I agree Misako is a complex character and while I and I’m sure many others who might dislike her or feel neutral about her understand that and understand that she had reasons for her actions- that does NOT mean we still cannot dislike a complex character. (Also you don’t always HAVE to have a reason on why you dislike or like something and sometimes you might not even know yourself why)
for example on tiktok there’ll be videos saying “We need more complex characters!” And usually the video will go to “you couldn’t even handle (insert character(s)).” And it’s one thing if they mischaracterize the character and don’t understand it. But if they still know the characters complex and understand the reasons that doesn’t mean they have to LIKE the character. They aren’t entitled to. And nobody is entitled to be upset at someone else for disliking or liking a character. You can debate civilly about a character if you want but don’t go throwing accusations like “OH YOU DONT LIKE (insert character) YOUR PROBABLY RACIST, MISOGYNISTIC, ETC.” And while I’m sure in a few cases that might play into it. But also- that’s not always the case. Like if I dislike a female character for reasons am I misogynistic? No. Not unless I hate her BECAUSE she’s a woman. Not because she might’ve done something I personally don’t agree with. And I think we all need to understand that,
EVERYONE can form opinions based on their own personal experiences and morals. You don’t have to LIKE someone else’s opinion but you don’t have to berate them for it either. And I’m sure someone might say “OH YOU JUST DONT LIKE MISAKO.” NO. I don’t like her- but I don’t hate her. I have mixed feeling about her. But it’s no different if someone else also disliked a complex character such as Garmadon or Wu. (Most of the time from what I’ve seen) It’s not because of a racial or sex issue with the character. It’s just because that character in that own individuals opinion isn’t their favorite.
EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OWN DISLIKES AND LIKES.
so if you can relate or have anything to add onto or maybe speak with me about feel free to reply or reblog. THANK YOU, HAVE A NICE DAY.
Tagging some of my mutuals/pookies/ or just someone who could give a good opinion so they can help spread some awareness! @clovercreationscc @froggityboingerrr @hollowflight-propaganda @iamsonormalaboutninjago @nyaskitten(I want ur opinion on this lol)

alright ninbitches it's time for Pen Rants About Serpentine Oppression. Leetssssssss talk about how fucked up the treatment of this entire people group is, starting way back at the beginning. So it's not entirely clear where the serpentine originated from. According to their own lore they were created by the FSM but my personal headcanon is actually that they originated in the realm of Chima with all the other anthro animals and were brought over by the FSM. This is not relevant, though. What's relevant is that, as far as we can tell, Serpentine/Human relations have pretty much always sucked. They've had fragile peace and unstable borders and for some reason just generally disliked eachother. There's like, thousands of years that we don't see so maybe there were times that they were chill but since Wu and Garmadon are really our only sources, it's hard to say. And Wu and Garmadon do NOT paint a great picture. I love the Spinjitzu Bros but the amount of just... casual racist comments are like, REALLY disturbing, actually. Saying stuff like "Last one there's a slimy snake!" Like this shit is INGRAINED in Ninjago's culture. Wu had like one bad experience with a Serpentine as a kid and suddenly his entire mindset it "Never Trust a Snake". What the actual fuck. One of the scenes that has always stuck with me is the scene in Child's Play where they're chasing the generals out of the museum, and Jay yells "Hey! They're trying to steal the golden sarcophagus!" Like... Ah, yes. THEY'RE trying to steal it. The golden sarcophagus. Which clearly contains the mummified corpse of an ancient Serpentine. And was most likely taken from a Serpentine pyramid and put in this human museum. Honestly this is relevant in the real world too, cuz how fucked up is it that we took these remains that clearly were not meant to be displayed, and made them an exhibit (and also ate them but that's a different story entirely)?? These are Serpentine trying to reclaim a member of their own and Jay, who has been raised with nothing but fear and hatred for their entire species, is accusing THEM of stealing. Then of course there is the matter of that fsm-awful book, Jack the Rabbit. Whether it was originally written as anti-Serpentine propaganda is irrelevant, because that is how it's being used in a modern context. I really wish I was just exaggerating or being dramatic, I really really do. But I can never see the scene where Wu reads it to Lloyd as a cute uncle/nephew moment ever again because this man is teaching a young boy to fear and hate an entire people group. There's so many little moments that just build up into the most disturbing thing about this entire show. The Ninja practically mugging Skales outside his own home, suspicious of his grocery bag. People chanting "Hey! Hey! What do we say? We want snakes to slither away!" to a fucking mariachi tune. Humans running and screaming in terror when Garma-condrai and Skylor-condrai show up, simply because they LOOK like Serpentine. Referring to the war as the Serpentine War in the first place, or, even worse, calling the battle with Chen's army a Second Serpentine War, despite literally only ONE real Anacondrai being involved at all, and WORKING WITH THE HEROES. Constant mistreatment, constant fear-mongering, erasure of history to the point where Kai didn't even believe they existed, despite his own parents being the ones to lock them in tombs, only about 40 years prior. And the TOMBS. Oh fsm those damn tombs. We see from Wu's story about Aspheera that magical entombment was a Serpentine practice at some point, but again, that was MAGICAL entombment. It was a process that kept the prisoner alive for as long as they needed to be, without need of food or water. Is it humane? Maybe not. But what's far less humane in my opinion is the use of targeted torture devices (referred to as "Sacred" Flutes, for fsm's sake) to force Serpentine into tombs with no way of surviving. The Anacondrai resorted to cannibalism, and I will never let anyone forget that.
