I was talking to someone irl a few days ago and they mentioned a headcanon where soulfire didn't have any winter clothes when they spawned in, but. they did have a lot of corpses with old, stained clothes. can you imagine? stripping the corpse of yourself to add just a few more seconds between yourself and the next respawn? caught in another death loop at that godforsaken spawn, and grateful for the fact that at least it means you'll be warmer, just a little. Imagine them all wrapped up in parts of bad's cloak- theyre hunted for the ferocity of their guard dog, but even his failures keep them warm. and now bad wears his snowgear as a cosmetic, marking him as one of theirs just as much as they are his.

and the armour... ohh, their armour. layers for warmth and layers for protection are different- I think at a certain point they dont need the warm layers, not the way they used to. but there is something in them that still equates warmth with protection. theres something about them building all of their armour sets underneath a lake of lava. willing to enchant their sets in safety, while molten rock drips slowly onto them from the ceiling above. they dont need their armour to stay warm, because their home will keep them warm for them.

and then the agreement to use no enchantments. their protection, their warmth- thrown away so quickly, almost eagerly. after all, soulfire knows how to handle the cold- and maybe some of them even miss it

You know I'm honestly not sure when the coronation is. I'm pretty sure it's tomorrow. I've been talking like it's tomorrow. I've been making plans around places that are very pro or anti royalty to avoid coronation activities (including my fucking house cause I am not about to listen to my neighbours.)

(There are two sides to this. There's the annoying celebrating but then there's the equally annoying moaning and bitching echo chamber in which they end up switching on the TV on only to complain)

some notes on wolverines (mustelidae) and Logan

cause new hyperfixation (its been goin on since a few weeks ago). gonna preface this by saying i have only seen the first x-men movie, and whatever else i found on tiktok n tumblr through my hyperfixation hoarding, so if anything is wrong or actually canon (or not canon) I'm sorry

notes under cut:

wolverines, while technically weasels, theyre the largest terrestrial weasel, and can weigh 26-50lbs.

Logan, is 5'3, but weighs at least 300lbs due to the admantium skeleton (195lbs without, meaning this small furry smelly man is just pure bulk)

wolverines are muscular n stocky and have thick fur (also waterproof n oily to prevent frost n such in them harsh canadian forests), are native to canada but can be found in similar environments, and are described as lil balls of violence and are extremely territorial around their food, family, and themselves (only out of necessity in order to survive the winter wastelands they live in). they also lack social skills and pack behavior like wolves

Logan, hairy beefy man, born in canada, described as an asshole, is violent n aggressive, but also severely traumatized. now with the fur, wolverines are nicknamed skunkcats because of how much they reek (they also mark whatever carcass they stole or found so nothing else can take it from em or where they buried it). if Logan (who canonically reeks) has waterproof n oily fur, it must be real difficult getting him to shower (not to mention he doesnt like getting wet) and also the water will not be able to get to his fucking skin because hes built to survive canadian woods.

wolverines are also commonly found in trees, as they use the height to locate prey and eventually pounce onto said prey

from some of the panel screenshots ive seen, Logan isnt unfamiliar with climbing onto trees

wolverines have been known to take on animals 3x their size, such as fuckin Moose, polar bears, elk n caribou, etc etc (only difference here between the mustelid and Logan is that there is no known attack on a human by a wolverine).

while wolverines have semi-retractable claws, Logan's claws are fully retractable. they (both the animal and Logan) have huge paws/hands, for the animal, its to prevent sinking into the snow

along with the thick waterproof fur and stocky build, theyre latin name gulo basically means glutton, so they have to eat a fuck load in order to maintain their body temp (usually they just eat their weight or very frequent small meals, but larger stuff is common), also theyre carnivorous but will eat anything they can find or kill, usually carcasses from avalanches n such, aka opportunity eaters

i have heard that Logan eats a shit ton, especially meat, but only large meals when alone, and small meals more frequently at the mansion. with the body heat thing, it must be super hard for him post-adamantium to keep his body temp at a normal range without literally sitting in the sun all day.

despite the aggressiveness they develop in the wild, when domesticated (which ive heard/read is super easy than you would think), they become very attached to one person, who usually is the trusted handler. they exhibit very cat-like behaviors, except wolverines actually like being picked up and wearing harnesses, they also like pets (but again, the trusted handler thing). they can become calm when hearing a high pitched obnoxious voice, and can go into a kind of trance when their gums are rubbed.

not sure about the cat behaviors n harnesses n other shit for Logan, but with the voice thing: Wade. thats all i really need to say about that

wolverines are naturally polygamous, but do come back to the female every so often to help raise the kits. theres a video of a wolverine male leaving out a moose leg near a female's den so she can have something for the kits to eat

this man gets passed around the x-men mansion like coleslaw at a southern get together dinner, aint no way hes monogamous. he does worry about the women he basically adopted and raised (rogue, laura, jubilee i think, yukio?,, i cant name any others but theres several)

wolverines also have the ability to smell a frozen carcass from over a mile away (and lemme tell ya, unless you have an excellent sense of smell, frozen anything doesnt have a smell except sharp)

this man can canonically smell emotions, and be able to tell the difference between Mystique and Storm just from smell Alone.

wolverines are very vocal, usually this kinda snarl/snort/growl/mumbling/chuff sound

not sure about comic Wolvie, but Hugh Jackman (and Logan, obviously) does snort n growl n roar n other shit like that

wolverines' mating rituals often include fighting multiple times, and mate Only after the female is confident in the male's fighting (males who return several times are more likely to mate than males who only fight once or twice) and that the female doesnt submit too easily. this is so the female and male can ensure the produced kits are strong enough to survive

self explanatory, minus the producing kits (that i know of)

also fun lil fact, wolverines' back molars are rotated at a 90 degree angle, so they can gnaw through bone easier (supposedly this is a common trait for mustelids)

not sure about sideways molars, but Logan does canonically have longer, more animalistic canines

most of my notes and how i worded some stuff is taken from wolverine expert Steve Kroschel, and tumblr user @/icarusredwings, as they have Amazing notes and headcanons on wolverines and Logan

UPDATES ON RICHARLYSON AND THE BRAZILIANS, FROM CELLBIT'S STREAM (05/03)

i love how this stream started with silly shenanigans and then went to complex lore and back to shenanigans. also VERY long post warning since this is over 6 hours of content

- they've started project imortalyson, each of them is gonna teach richarlyson important survival skills

- tazercraft is teaching him intimidation skills, forever is furthering teaching him how to rob things and stealth in general, cellbit is teaching combat (due to his past as a killer in minecraft 💀) and felps is teaching him movement and strategy

- tazercraft is building a little football/soccer field so they can play with richarlyson

- chayanne and richarlyson are now best friends :D

- cellbit and felps had their first fight. the reason: cellbit gave felps a banana and felps compared it to foolish's banana. this is an important update

- cellbit is doing richarlyson's daily missions!!!!

- richarlyson's favorite food is tapioca (this is important.)

- cellbit made him a totally edible tapioca

- after 2 hours of stream, they finally start on project imortalyson

- quackity is also giving 1% of training lessons

- ALMOST EVERYONE ON SERVER COMING TO WATCH AND HYPE IT UP?

- this entire sequence is. something. it includes valuable life lessons, bad translations of portuguese sayings ("lower your balls", "breast me" 💀), bobby and richarlyson exchanging insults, parkour, forever beating the bad father allegations

- things get TENSE with the richarlyson/bobby rivalry since bobby kept trying to steal the spotlight and be a nuisance

- as a final test, they followed richarlyson around in a cave until he found his first diamonds

- quackity is apparently trying to get a higher percentage of richarlyson's custody ? stay tuned for updates !

- update: rumor says he has 5% of custody now.... not sure if it's true. forever didn't confirm anything

- cellbit, felps and richarlyson quietly left the cave after quackity started threatening bobby

- RICHARLYSON CRAFTED HIS FIRST DIAMOND PICKAXE 🔥🔥🔥🔥

- they're doing a picnic :) with joyful music playing in the background :) and flowers :)

- richarlyson went to take a nap and cellbit started building his house in the meantime

- cellbit and richarlyson went to see bbh and maximus

- he's getting into the lore 👁 investigation music is playing. maximus is telling cellbit to be careful with quackity because quackity wants to kill all eggs

- cellbit is joining them on investigating what's going on with the island

- (guys cellbit is so excited about this. it's exactly his type of stuff since he used to do vídeos on args and stuff like that. he was also planning on doing something similar himself on the server)

- maximus is showing him the stuff with morse code/cyphers he got from the hacker transmissions and more. cellbit is gonna help them with the cypher

- meanwhile, richarlyson and dapper are getting along well!! :D they were having a little party with sombreros and mexican music

- if you're interested, around after the 4 hour mark, the stream is mostly in english and they talk about the lore and about decoding the cypher from one of the transmissions!!! very cool stuff

LORE DIFFERENCES

alicorns are more common than canon. theyre usually the leaders of kingdoms, the most notable and powerful being Celestia and Luna, rumoured to be the offspring of the Dark and the Light themselves.

(fun fact: princess Amore is Celestia's twin sister, and she was reincarnated into Cadence after Sombra killed her)

alicorns are representative of multiple creatures, rather than just ponies. my luna for example, takes elements from deep sea fish and nighttime creatures! "ascended" alicorns like twilight will develop these over time, "true" alicorns will be born/created with them. alicorns tend to be more respected

all ponies have magic. all but unicorns have lost most touch with this magic, but it still exists in them. if practiced, earth ponies could grow and control plants, and pegasi could summon storms at will, but most have lost touch with these abilities, and its largely forgotten they exist at all (of course, twilight knows and teaches her friends!)

the mane 6 are reincarnates of the pillars of equestria (they unlock their memories when they release stygian, rather than the pillars themselves. since they ARE the pillars in this AU) and they will continue to reincarnate and become friends in every life (although they don't have to save the world every single time, thankfully)

cutie marks are made of a bone-like substance and do not decompose after death. they have a smooth and crystal-like texture & shine

starlight glimmer was able to reform chrysalis, meaning sombra took her place in the finale. (she eventually gave leadership to thorax of her own volition, as she felt she didn't fit in with the new lifestyle of the hive)

the villains were also reformed rather than being turned to stone, although they were kept frozen a few years

THE FUTURE

twilight's friends eventually die, and she survives them, being an alicorn now. Twilight has a mental break about destiny and how her whole life was probably planned out by Celestia. when confronted, celestia simply says "sometimes we must make sacrifices for the greater good."

the nightmare forces take this chance to attack twilight, turning her into midnight sparkle. she reanimates her friends into twisted, flanderized versions of themselves, and vows to form a new equestria where everypony can choose their own destiny

(don't have many more solid details worked out on the rest of the future... i have a couple ideas i just need to decide on one!!!! this might lead into g5 events if i wanna go that route buuuuuuut i am not sure yet)

This is not a justification or a place to talk about it with excuses -- but well Dream is very much in trouble.

He was forced to marry someone he didn’t even like, let alone love, but his parents and circumstances forced his hand. His husband/wife is fine, whatever, they both went into it knowing the score.

The trouble started when Dream took what he knew was shit advice from Desire on how to make the best of it --- go out have meaningless hookups/one night stands to get the even half way decent sex he's been missing in his loveless marriage. According to Desire is wasn't about falling in love or catching feelings it was about Dream getting his dick wet, and taking back some control over his life.

Dream knew, knew, he was not built for serial cheating. And if he was being honest, Dream guesses it kinda worked for a little while......then Dream met Hob Gadling and all bets were off.

It not even like he lied to Hob, Dream fell so hard, so fast, that he seemingly couldn't be anything but honest with Hob. AND HOB. WAS. JUST. AS. BAD!!

Hob had taken, after only a few meetings,,,, DAYS,, to sucking marks all over Dream's visible skin. Dream thinks Hob is following him; Dream knows that he's seen Hob standing on the street corner across from Dream's office. Dream isn't even scared,,,,because he would do the same -- follow Hob around if people didn’t look for him in his office.

It is getting harder for Dream to leave Hob and go home, because Hob is home. The other day - listen Dream has taken to having long lunches at Hob's apartment - Dream caught (which implies "hiding," which Hob was NOT) Hob looking at plane tickets for two to the states. Dream might have started stock piling bricks of cash at Hob's apartment, in response.

Oh. God. They're going to run!

IDIOTS!! THEYRE IDIOTS!!! and I love them. They literally cannot be normal about anything else and i am so here for that.

Cause like. The point has come where Dream could totally just get a divorce. His parents wouldn't be thrilled, but they already lived through 3 of Desire's messy divorces. They'll survive. The reason they wanted Dream to marry in the first place is now long gone and forgotten.

But... these idiots are enjoying the drama, ok. The secrecy, the illicit phone calls, the mild level of stalking... its all a fucking turn on. They're INTO IT. Nothing gets Dream hard like knowing that Hob is watching him at work from the cafe across the street with a pair of binoculars. They have a fucking code so they can sext each other. They write love letters in cypher.

Dream's spouse checked out of the marriage years ago at this point. But Hob and Dream are just having such a good time with their elaborate affair roleplay, you know? And the only saving grace of the whole thing is that they are genuinely (and quite adorably) head over heels in love.

The sooner they leave the country the better tbh. For the sanity of everyone who knows them!

Ekko HCs

Instead of his nose, piltover enforcers kept getting Ekko's face mark wrong on his wanted posters (they either put apple, unicorn, heart, or a d*ck on his face-)

Ladies Man: Every girl and young woman who happens to come across his posters or who have heard of him have been fawning over him; they have this notion that if they leave a science book or a trinket on their window at night, he'll come visit and sweep them off their feet...of course that doesn't happen and there's only a 50% chance he'll pick it up or not (probs bc he already stole a copy of that book or that the trinket doesn't interest him).

He's the big brother (along with Scar) of their community called "Firelights" where most refugees reside. He gets along with kids a lot and invite him to play Tag with them when he's not busy. (Bonus: he babysits Scar's baby when he's away)

Short Lore: Ekko was orphaned at a very young age and was left to fend for himself as a pick pocket along with other kids. By the time he was old enough to pick up a book, Benzo adopted him and made him as his apprentice at the age of 9. It all ended when Enforcers and Chembarons terrorized Zaun due to Shimmer. Scar eventually found him and became his big brother. Rest is history of them building a sanctuary for people in need.

Ekko is pretty much a book worm. Unlike kids his age when he was young, he would steal more books than money resulting Scar sharing his rations to feed him. He's reckless, but eventually learned how to survive.

Kids in the Firelight sanctuary are inspired and are as curious as Ekko is in the field of science and mathematics. Parents encourage them to hang out with their big brother in hopes they can be educated just like him

His parents did want him to attend piltover academy for a brighter future, but unfortunately the war happened :')

Because of the unfortunate events happening in his life, he starts to fantasize about building a time machine to see his family again. Jayce's hexgem only amplified his ambitions of building his impossible project.

Another one of his ambitions is to make a better place for people to live in...and others in Zaun have mocked him for it (apart for the firelights, they look up to him)

Scar kept telling him to find a partner because he's gonna grow old and lonely if he doesnt. Ekko ofc ignores this and thinks he doesnt need it when he's got his books.

Ekko is also responsible for adding flora in their community. His mom once owned a tiny garden she used to tend to. Ekko plants his mother's favorite flowers to honor both his parents. It was fairly easy to grow them since natural light shines in the community.

Jinx HCs

Silco bought a casual outfit and two dresses from piltover for Jinx, but she only wears one dress and out grew her casual outfit. She saves the other dress for when she leaves the tower (for good).

She altered her dress to fit her tastes; piltover fashion is bonkers she says.

He also brings her self-care products especially for her hair, but never buys her hair accessories...says its too tacky for her (and it reminds him too much of her mother lmao)

Jinx doesn't allow anyone to come near her (especially her hair) upon Silco's orders unless told otherwise. It's usually him or Sevika who brushes her hair.

When Silco is busy, he sends Sevika instead to tend to Jinx (much to each other's dismay). She doesn't like how rough Sevika is brushing her hair (though she's still careful because she gets paid)

The tower usually gets cold in the winter and people sometimes forget to send wood for her fireplace, so wraps up herself in her hair and several blankets so she wouldn't freeze. She's used to it and doesn't mention it to Silco despite him saying she can call to him whenever she needs something

One could guess that not heating up her tower in the winter is probably an experiment conducted by Singed indirectly to see if she can endure bitter cold all while Silco allows it and doesn't tell his daughter. It's one of the cruel ways to test her mutation.

Another way of testing her is having her live in a dark place; the tower is located within the dark forest where no light can reach it. Jinx's eyes became more adjusted in the dark that she can read three books with a small candle light or a neon light stick that barely illuminates the whole room.

Unbeknownst to them, her brilliant mind comes up with several ways to live (or survive) in the tower with what minimal tools she has.

Yes, she has a crossbow but prefers to use her custom-made pistol

Of course, she has nightmares: it often involves the voices in pain she has heard echoing below when there's "shimmer business" going on. Sometimes it about being abandoned by her father and being lied to. She gets the feeling that someone out there is finding her, but they have long abandoned her.

Her pet crow is mischievious as well as its smart; it often brings her materials she needed for her projects Silco asked her to do. It sometimes bring her trinkets she find cute and fascinating

She read about bugs that glow called "firelights" and wishes to see them herself. Shes fascinated that such creatures can glow and float around naturally (unlike the neon lights she sees workers use. She likes them, but she wanted to see what natural light is)

General HCs

When Ekko met Jinx in her tower while hiding, he thought he saw a ghost bc of her long hair and pale skin (and wearing white modest undergarments at that time-- she knocked him out before he can see full view lol)

Jinx was unconsciously transparent about being naive about the world and only knows a portion of it. Ekko couldn't bring himself to leave her in that tower alone now that she's old enough to explore the world.

The Deal: Jinx keeps the stone hidden until Ekko takes her outside and see firelights or whatever she wants. If he fails to do so, she'll tell on him and she gets to use the hexgem to power her weapon and destroy whatever her father tells her to.

After their deal, Ekko took Jinx to a local bar called "The Last Drop" in Zaun. It wasn't the same place he remembered, but he hopes they still serve the same menu there. The problem is Jinx recognized some of the men there who work for Silco lol

Ekko is weirded out by Jinx's hair length, but soon comes to appreciate it. When asked why she cant cut, she'll only answer her father doesn't want to

He thinks her hair color became even brighter when she was outside-- not to mention she's even more radiant than before :3

When Jinx was washing her hands, her sleeves were rolled up exposing syringe marks on her skin. Ekko gently asked Jinx about and she answered "father and this doctor wanted to keep my health in check" despite being fairly healthy. He's sensing something is very wrong

On their way to the Firelight sanctuary, Jinx marveled at the flowers and the light emitting from the sky above them. Ekko enjoys the smile on her face, even letting her pick flowers she likes as long as she doesnt destroy his work 🥲

Both of them got along pretty well seeing that they enjoy reading and tinkering (Scar even teased Ekko for bringing in a lady friend over)

Ekko presented Jinx the option to stay with him if she wants, seeing that she was much more happier here than being trapped in her tower for so long...maybe one day she'll consider breaking out of her own prison.

The Grimwalker as a concept was so weird. Mainly that Hunter was all 'ohhhh no we cant tell them im a spooky Grimwalker!' But... why would anyone care? The only reason given is that hes a reincarnation of a guy nobody even knows or cares about. Theres not even like, a spooky myth about Grimwalkers because its got such a vague ruleset and premise. He's barely different from a demon.

That COULD have linked to the demon discrimination plotline youve talked about, but there is none so it cant be that. Which i understand was partially because Dana wanted the gays to just exist, so she scrapped discrimination in general. But, a big part of forming cultures and identity is 'Otherness'. People compare themselves to others and define themselves by how theyre different. So scrapping discrimination ends up making the witchs and demons feel like nothing. They have nothing to compare their identity and culture against because theres just no conflict to spark comparison.

This lack of substance also means the fans don't care about Grimwalkers. See the moring comic where the Grimwalker was turned into ANOTHER way to say 'haha Boscha so cringe amirite? point and laugh because she has nobody who loves her.' even though the grimwalker is to reincarnate the dead.

OH MY GOD I'M SO HAPPY SOMEONE ELSE NOTICED THAT! *SCREAMS BLOODY MURDER* Like I know Mark just writes Boscha how the entire fandom sees her (which hasn't helped me enjoy A Hint of Blue, not that I think it's good regardless) but seriously what the fuck!? Why do that to her except just to be mean!?

*sighs* What were we talking about? OH RIGHT! Grimmwalkers.

So for why Hunter has anxiety, it actually is because TOH is doing a very basic clone/artificial human storyline with Hunter and those arcs are actually a lot more internally motivated than externally motivated. Clone lives a life believing they're their own person, then one day finds out they're not, perceives themselves as less because of this distinction but then in the end decides that regardless of their origin, they are their own person and so throw off their shackles, embrace who they are and become better for it. It has nothing to do with race and while it is baby's first clone story, I also still like it conceptually because, well, there's a reason why it's the default clone story. It especially is good for kid's media because while the clone can struggle with the anxiety of it, their friends never have to actually be bad or discriminatory against them because the point is loving yourself for who you are and not who you were made to be.

But I've talked before about how this basic framework actually has a Catch 22 built into it when it comes to Hunter... Which apparently Tumblr wants to tell me I've never done before. Thanks search function. The short version is that this template requires not only a rejection of what they were made for but for them to become distinctly different, usually opposite, to their purpose/original. For Hunter, he only knows Belos so this takes shape in trying to be the opposite of him. The problem is that the opposite of Belos... Is Caleb. Who Hunter mimics in every action he takes after getting away from Belos. There's literally no way to follow this template without adding complexities like him accepting his true origin and being okay/happy with that, something that was probably unlikely in general but especially wasn't going to happen with the shortening, which I will actually give people for. Because the Grimmwalker twist happens so late, they either had to cut it or had no time to actually do anything with it which like... Why not cut it? You did nothing with it and it actually made sure you didn't have the time to actually have Hunter reject Belos' morality so that his redemption doesn't come across as self serving and for survival more than an actual, you know, change to his beliefs.

As for how interesting Grimmwalkers are... They're just clones. Boilerplate, boring clones. Make a body based on another person, put memories in, BAM! Got yourself a clone. Doesn't get more classic than that. It's hardly even magical honestly besides the components, especially with how it actually doesn't give them magic despite those components, or have weird quirks since they're not actually made of flesh and blood, elements that the fans have had a lot of fun with that the show never does, though admittedly part of that is due to how late it happens. Then again, all magic in TOH is boring so it's not likely they would have anyways. Also, you know, a lot of shows will do a single clone episode and have more fun and magic to it than TOH does with one of their core cast members being one so *shrug*

Now, for the final part, I do want to also touch on the 'other' aspect because while discrimination is one way to do it, you can get this across in other ways. One such way is the core defining trait of the Grimmwalker from a tangible standpoint: He doesn't have magic. In a society that mostly has magic, him not having it is a big deal. It's literally what gives him and Willow their first connection as a couple, as insulting as that scene actually should be to Hunter.

And then Hunter is 'fixed' when he gains his magic. His 'other' status removed because he's a real boy now. *SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH*

I have so much more I could say about TOH and 'The Other' (made a blog about a lot of it between writing this draft and publish) but I'll leave it at that so it actually stays on topic instead of the half a dozen tangents I've deleted. None of this makes it good by the way and with how TOH tackles most subjects like this, it's incredibly unlikely that more time would have made it better. After all, being a Grimmwalker is only one of like a half dozen TANTALIZING character/arc concepts for Hunter that are never addressed. The fact that he is trained to kill witches and likely has. His relationship with the Isles because he doesn't have inherent magic. The fact that he is filled with such care for the nation and its government that it blocks out all else in his world. How a sheltered child reacts when they suddenly have freedom and are thrust into the wider world. Etc. etc. that are just footnotes to the writers more than anything to actually build a complete arc around or else they wouldn't have just keep adding to the angst bucket without actually resolving any of it.

So of course Grimmwalkers are bland while being a fine to good concept that's then made terrible by narrative implication or neglect. That's EVERYTHING to do with Hunter.

the zonai hail from the silent realm and formed 3 major settlements originating from the decaying trial gates, one in the sky islands, one in faron, and one below in the depths (using the eldin gate that had since been buried under hyrules changing landscape). by the time of totks ancient era, the zonai had been slowly and steadily migrating back to the silent realm with mineru and rauru being the last to stay

hailing from the silent realm, the zonai culturally place a massive emphasis on self betterment through trials, self inflicted or otherwise, as a way of marking time through growth, in service to the goddesses

im using the oot elements, so the gerudo get spirit (which manifests as lightning) and mineru gets shadow, linking her to the sheikah and the technology theyll create

rauru and ganondorf are exes who had an EXTREMELY messy breakup before rauru founded hyrule

i can elaborate on that more (and will later) but for NOW

MINERU

so i headcanon mineru as this character thats deeply atheistic and autistic. which doesnt make a lick of sense until i explain it further lmao

mineru, to me, is this person thats deeply materialist, whereas her brother rauru is deeply idealist, and sonia is a staunch spiritualist (which is why her and rauru make such a good match for each other). minerus primary concern is The Real. the golden goddesses are Concretely Real but their influence is negligible. mineru grows up in a culture that dedicates themselves to spiritual self growth through trials of self betterment for, ostensibly, the sake of three goddesses no one will ever see or talk to or be touched by. they exist, surely, because the triforce exists, because their power exists, but mineru will never see them, hear them, talk to them, touch them, or see their hands mold reality. in every aspect she would care about, They Are Not Real. and so ascribing to a cultural norm of "betterment through trial" (needless struggle and self doubt) just. doesnt click for her. why chase spiritual enlightenment when theres shit to do RIGHT here?

shes this kind of gruff, non social person who nonetheless cares deeply and intensely but wants to dedicate her effort and energy to things she considers important. her brothers important. her work is important. vague divine approval? unimportant. shes more concerned with how things tick than the Grand Plan of it all.

a lot of this makes itself manifest in her role (in my headcanons and aus) as the sage of shadow, if you understand shadow as Unseen (Concealed) Truth. why do the islands float? how does zoanite work? what can we do with this energy? what can we make? how can we build on it? shadow magic, imo, requires a strong thread of creativity. its what makes OoTs shadow temple so brutal and the history behind it so heinous. but it isnt inherently bad. its creativity, imagination, the Unreal. its the drawing of a curtain and the throwing it aside. this underlying current, the need to understand How and Why, is what makes minerus cutscenes with this understanding so much more enjoyable to me.

mineru is this character defined by her inventions, whos headpiece mirrors the goggles purah and robbie wear, whos role as shadow, the creator the inventer the counterculture, will be revisited when the sheikah create technological wonders that will spread throughout hyrule. she makes a mech to house her soul to survive the thousands of years into the future. whereas other sages choose a successor, mineru says "youll see me there in the temple my damn self." because if you want something done right you do it yourself!

i headcanon mineru and rauru as hailing from the sky island zonai civilization, and theyre the last hyrule dwelling generation. she grew up watching these senseless tests of courage that just risked major injury for no good reason, and then her baby brother goes off to better himself because he wants to make a meaningful impact in the world, and it just cascades into a dominos of bad decisions. she doesnt put any stock into divine intervention because the only people who can save anything are us. i picture her being endlessly fascinated by her home and the constructs and that curiosity being the foundation for a lot of what she does from there on out. becoming a fantasy mechanic, an inventor, getting down into the nitty gritty of a machine and getting covered in grime and oil but not caring because theres a problem that needs fixing and she has a wrench. voraciously tearing into any book she can find, any historical record, being this treasure trove of information and trivia and history because she cant help but come back to those questions, how?, why?, again and again.

itd be easy to hear her described as anti social and gruff, and see her interpreted as a little standoffish and blunt, and end up viewing her as kind of an ass, and you wouldnt be wrong per se but its really just that mineru only really puts effort into a relationship she cares about, and she really REALLY pro cons that shit. her first and foremost concern is rauru, her little brother, and as the zonai migrate back to the silent realm, her last remaining family. when rauru descends to the surface in search of problems to fix and Be Of Help, mineru correctly assesses his budding relationship with the gerudo royal is one fated for disaster, because nothing good comes from entering a relationship just to "fix them" regardless of how well intentioned and kind hearted you may be. because of this she doesnt invest much into getting to know ganondorf as he interacts with her brother, because shes expecting it to blow up and doesnt want any of that blowback. nevertheless when that comes to a head in the WORST possible way (a situation in the au that results in the creation of the gibdo queen, the first blood moon, the deaths of several gerudo guards and the eventual deaths of koume and kotake, a situation that will then contribute to The TotK situation) mineru beats herself up every day for not being more involved. her brother is sweet, and truly believes in the ideals of the zonai he was raised with, that to struggle is to overcome trial and better ones self, and such an effort is a spiritual responsibility of those hailing from the silent realms, created by divine hands, because of the power theyre capable of wielding. she cant fault him for that, because rauru IS capable of great good and he WANTS to help people so bad, but as mineru surmised years earlier, when your inundated with this concept that You Have Power and your Obligated To Use It, you never stop to think that maybe you arent the best person to solve this issue. you cant use a wrench for a screwdrivers issue. and knowing that, knowing rauru is driven to help but too inexperienced to know what he CAN help with, mineru feels responsible for not stopping him from biting off more than he can chew. (rauru, on his end, solely blames himself)

so shes a bit More Present when he meets sonia and when his idealism leads him to found hyrule, she stays close, but she really can NOT be assed to be dragged into politics because jesus christ. no. but she continues to be like. Peak Older Sister. every time rauru has a problem, shes the one he turns to. every time rauru wants advise, he asks mineru. he loves her a lot and relies on her guidance because he considers her one of the smartest people he knows (she is, along with sonia) and even though most of the time its rauru once again trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, theyve basically been abandoned by the rest of their people (who have written hyrule off as this kind of Fun Ordeal but Not Worth It as they go on being fucking. philosopher kings in a realm of Eternal Silent Trial where you can freely perfect whatever magic bullshit you want without worry of a body count or, ya know, consequences because very little is physically tangible there). mineru isnt going to like. continue that trend, and just leave rauru to it. hes a grown adult for sure, but that just means its his responsibility to grow and change as a person, not that he cant ask for help. especially because she doesnt want him to handle everything alone

so shes hands off with the hyrule business, and plus sonias got a good head on her shoulders, shes a nice balance to raurus Impulsive Do Gooding and helps him move from individual action to Systemic Good (tho that in itself is another one of Raurus Bad Impulsive Ideas because founding a Divine Kingdom of Good is a fools errand). and for the most part mineru is fairly assured that it wont blow up too horribly (*loud incorrect buzzer*) but man. when they show up with zelda.

so raurus very much a "im divinely obligated to help people" and sonias v much a "fate ordained our meeting" type and mineru is very very much Not That. but zelda? zelda is so much closer in personality to mineru, so when rauru and sonia show up with this girl from the future that theyve basically adopted, minerus like "alright you are once again Back On Your Bullshit so im NOT getting Into It" AND YETTT. zelda ALSO cant stop asking how? and why? (because light and shadow are closer than most people think), and zeldas so invested in what makes this tech work, how it functions, what makes it go, and while rauru and sonia try to give zelda the best they can, zeldas also similarly thrilled to get her fancy white dress all gunked up with oil cuz theres a plug that needs reconnecting and mineru cant get her hand thru the gap. they get on like a house on fire and despite herself mineru loves zelda. absolutely adores her. which was NOT on todays to do list, for sure. and so despite herself mineru is now including zelda in her (very small) circle of family and similarly mineru is this gruff no nonsense figure zelda can earnestly talk to whos similarly concerned with the Real and the Practical and how it can be applied to solve our problems instead of omens chasing and prophecy fulfilling. which is why mineru goes out of her way to help zelda in a way she generally doesnt for sonia because well. zeldas basically her niece. and sonia can handle herself. and also zelda loves hearing about weird programming quirks in the constructs. so its really just kind of inevitable

but minerus pursuit of knowledge is why she knows about draconification (and rauru doesnt), and why rauru comes to her for help because thats kind of his habit. its a lot like asking big sis to beat bowser for you cuz you cant get it, and like she clowns on you for it but still takes the controller.

and when rauru and sonia are like "the ganondorf situation is Our Problem and we arent involving zelda" mineru is 100% behind that because uhh YEAH rauru it IS ur problem this is YOUR ex and your series of Questionable Decisions, but also why she throws herself into it because she does still carry that responsibility. she still feels that guilt for not protecting rauru from himself as his older sister, and that so many people suffered, and that now more people she cares about ARE suffering and WILL suffer. a feeling thats compounded by raurus sacrifice sealing ganondorf

understanding how the sky islands float was a childhood dream of minerus, to understand the hand of the divine and make it tangible and real, and while she achieves that, with the help of someone who really truly gets her and her work, the context surrounding it is so grief stricken and heart rending it thoroughly spoils the joy of scientific pursuit, which is probably why it isnt something mineru records in a lot of detail. in a lot of ways mineru loses all the people she considers family to that same Hand of Divinity, which imo makes mineru being atheist more richly thematic and adds to her character. its this combination of "am i being punished for my lack of faith?" alongside this determination to assert your individual power in SPITE of divine influence, taking herself to the present by her own craft and the sheer power of ingenuity and creativity and the aid of an equally learned peer. also her spirit bond is on the middle finger. i love that for her

I'd imagine angelification adds to your an6atomy as a non-angelic being instead of transforming. Sudden wings sprouting from your back and rapid growth would be painful ofc because its happening all at once. Halos forming at rapid rates causes throbbing migraines that last 15-30 minutes (unbesrable pain) and could have long lasting effects and damage to the brain. Idrk how halos can materialize so yah!!

Wingssss would be incomplete and fleshy and bloody because wings did not take time to deform. Healing would take a lot of time but it wont change deformities. I dont thjnk theyd even be able to fly since the wings are tooooo deformed wnd sonewhat bony to evem carry weight :[[...

Angelification maybe attacks the mind too with intense holy visions? Idk. Its like a strobe light effect that plays in your head with words yiu cannot understand.. (yeouch!!!!) Intense ringing in your ears and strong nausea comes with it.

Due to the immense stress of angelification and what it does to the mind the victim wouldn't be themselves anymore proven by that bossfight during chapter 1. Victims get put down becayse their body is forever damaged and in pain (oof)! The viictims are also dangerous because their senses are messed up already so they attack impulsicely and are really agitated

And let me spill out some of my own brain stew from the mind cauldron.

I like to imagine that the Companion is probably used to lure out Ra-on with their familiar face. And that they have moments of lucidity when they're basically not tripping balls on holy visions, which makes Ra-on really, really hesitate on having them be killed or maimed because they're in there! They're still alive even if they're in pain! Because Ra-on strikes me as the type that would not survive a zombie apocalypse because they're that soft-hearted towards infected loved ones.

Gabriel marked Ra-on, killed Minhyeok, and probably holds a special interest in the Companion after making them go through angelification. As to what that interest contains, I have no clue. I'll probably just make it a messy variety where Gabriel is only jokingly affectionate in order to mess with Ra-on and the devils.

And then goes "Oh no," when he ends up actually attached to the Companion the more they're lucid, but obviously has to hide it under layers and layers of lies and asspulls to the angels and devils around him. It's almost funny.

Obviously, this is a one sided thing. Weirdly likes the open hostility of the Companion when their mind is there and functioning.

I'm a big fan of these huge prideful assholes being confronted with the problem of getting attached and basically hating every moment of it. Though he doesn't really pretend to hate the Companion in front of them when it's just the both of them. He's civil and since they're so open with their own anger, Gabriel tends to unload whatever grievances he has since literally no one else is giving him a listening ear. The one that did listen, God, is gone. So, the Companion is the next best thing.

That's kind of funny to think about. Ra-on Companion is now Gabriel's Companion.

as much as i love soniakane for its seeming simplicity of two girls who find each other and fall in love the reality is that for me this ship is so much more and serves to emphasize the themes of sdr2 while additionally serving as an example of how trauma can guide people who otherwise would have opposite lives together.

one of the themes of dr as a whole is coping with the loss of a loved one-- however, within sdr2 its especially heightened with numerous characters experiencing earth shattering loses which alter their characters. fuyuhiko loosing peko, hiyoko loosing mahiru, sonia loosing gundam, akane loosing nekomaru, hajime loosing chiaki (which differs from hajimes loss of nagito as thier relationship is a lot more fucked up than a simple sense of adoration and mutual friendship even if you do all of is fte)

however, what marks sdr2 as different is how it emphasizes the growth from said loss as demonstrated within all of the above characters as how they grew following the deaths of their "person." additionally, sdr2 is a story about redemption and atonement for past sins-- hajime has to face his actions as izuru and the death of chiaki and embraces those tragedys to grow as a person dedicated to making a future with his new friends. Its a journey which the other survivors go through as well.

which is why i think soniakane is so important to weigh into this analysis because sonia and akane growing following the loss of someone important to them and the realization that their past selves where horrible people is essential to highlighting how redemption is possible. sonia and akane should be allowed to love each other because theyre embracing their paths and making an effort to bring light into their lives and the lives around them-- it illuminates the beauty of their connection and how the two of them have grown out of past immaturity.

additionally, i am of the belief that none of the survivors would've been friends if not for the events of the nwp (which i will explain in a future post) but thats especially true for sonia and akane. sonia was a princess born into her talent and akane was a poor girl who had to fight in order to survive creepy men leering on her. not only in circumstances can it be substantiated the two would never cross paths but in personality they clash with each other-- akane has no understanding of manners in a way thats glaringly obvious and sonia isolates herself due to her weird interests which prevents people from getting too close.

overall i think people gloss over soniakane too quickly or see it as an attempt to couple up every character or make room for a ship but thats not true!!! these two characters have so much more merit than the fandom gives them and their relationship is compelling and fascinating to explore especially from a themes perspective as it can be extremely telling of the overall point which the danganronpa narrative holds

Oh yes, cub is the go to, maybe pup as a joke off his name meaning wolf, or like 'the mighty ulfur' etc when hes being more obnoxious. This is their dynamic most of the time

Oh! Also does he ask to get picked up and given piggy back rides by his mom or would Drífa insist for him instead?

I think he will usually try to do things on his own to PROVE TO HIS MOM THAT HIS IS AN EXPERT SURVIVALIST, then eventually gets tired and she scoops him up. She wants him to do everything on his own in case she isn't there, but she swoops in when needed (or when she wants to)

Does Drífa ever mourn the years lost after seeing how competent of a tracker Úlfur is?

Oh yes, especially once theyre reunited she feels a lot of guilt for assuming he was dead (it really was set up so there was no other option than that, and is very sad that her time with him is even shorter since he will probably only want to stay with her for a little longer/technically doesn't really even 'need her', but obvi he stays with her the rest of their time together (aside from his own little adventures, but he always comes home :) ) Drífa took care of herself very early, so she anticipates he would want the same. He doesn't

Does Drífa embarrass him infront of camp by doing the quintessential mom thing of licking her thumb to clean his face?

I think to him that would be so normal that he wouldn't think about it until maybe someone snickers and then he realizes it's 'embarrassing' and then it's like MOM STOOOOPPP

How did Úlfur get his face scar?

When he got separated from Drífa he fell off the side of the mountain, and basically miraculously survived but took most of the damage to his face and right side of his body, he broke a lot of bones, knocked out his tusk and it was so damaged it never grew back, and unfortunately lost his eye. He was found by some 'kind souls' who found a lil kid barely alive in the snow, and they took him... not realizing his mother was on her way to get him. He was unconciously and woke up miles away from his mountain, not able to speak common, with no idea where he was. Drífa found bloody snow, bits of his fabric, and drag marks. She searched and searched and could only conclude that an animal had taken him at that point from the state of the mess and what was left (and because typically people dont go up the mountain, especially in winter, but those two were either weirdos or into shady business.

How would Drífa talk to her son about the trauma from that?

I think she does whatever she can to make him comfortable, never prying, but asking, and if he gets defensive she drops it. Work through it slowly, mindfully, meditatively. I think she's as traumatized but in a different way, waking up multiple times to make sure he's still in his bed, tbh in the beginning he probably sleeps in bed with her so they can both know the other is there, eventually he gets a big boy bed as per his demand and then still sometimes falls asleep with mom while she tells him stories

Did Úlfur worry before meeting his mom that she'd wouldn't recognise him due to his scars?

I don't think he'd consider that, i think he would be more worried if she was alive because she basically was saving his life, he ran away and slipped and tumbled down the mountain. He is hoping she is alive, and looking for him. When he hears rumors that there's 'some woman living in the mountain' he then is angry she didn't come get him, she abandoned him, and is looking for her because he misses her and also to find out why she would do that? Upon reuniting it is very clear that she did not give up, in fact looked for months and found nothing, and he quickly forgives.

What does Drífa feed Úlfur to fatten him up?

Best pieces of meat, she always gives him the last piece of whatever they have, gets him fresh honeycomb, sweets, berries, HEFTY portions of meals

How did Drífa first react to being pregnant? How did she prepare afterwards?

I don't think she'd realize it first, she'd think she was getting ill. Eventually she would fit the pieces together and I think she would be scared at the idea of taking care of something, before coming to the conclusion that this was MEANT to happen to teach her something by her goddess and that is was a natural cycle of life. I think it would involve a lot of cursing, a lot of talking to herself like 'oh god i'm so tired and it's only the afternoon! What the hell-' and originally is worried she was going to have a baby in the winter instead of a more pleasant time like the spring or summer, but then again took that as a will of her goddess, a very special time time to be born, and a very particular challenge she would face and defeat. She is nervous, but now sees it that her baby is blessed to be born in winter which is her goddess's manifestation, and very fitting. She probably just works harder than ever to make sure when the time comes, she will be ready, and have plenty of rations, furs, etc to get through the winter. She's seen animals do it, so it should be the same? Not sure how the whole having a baby alone thing went down, but she was successful, and definitely had a few 'what the fuck am I doing....' moments, but now she had someone to talk to other than herself and sees her baby as a gift from the gods :") She is a lot funnier when she's alone because she can speak orc and it's mostly her just sighing and being like 'well... i guess this is how this is going to happen now....'

@arcvmonth Day 18 D/D/D- Different Dimension Day!

Even though its a little late (because I wanted to color these lol) I wanted to talk about my Mermaid AU- concepted while I drew my big piece for Mermay this year! I was originally going to turn it into a series basing them on the En cards, but I didnt have time (maybe next year?)

This is a high fantasy AU, of course, and each of the stories happen around the same time-which Ill get into later. All of the Bracelet Girls, Dragon Boys and Zarc + Ray are in their 20's here, with romantic interactions between the expected couples (Fruit, Apple, FallenAngel, Predator, Genesis). All of the stories are unrelated but take place around the same time, with the the exception of the Genesis which takes several decades before.

Just slapping the word 'Mermaid' on a character and not basing them on a sea creature has never been an option for my autism brain, so I based the girls off of sea creatures I thought suited them!

Yuzu is based on a Betta fish- the only freshwater mermaid out of the five- mainly because I think theyre gorgeous with their lovely flowing tails, but also because theyre highly territorial, which I will get into later.

Rin-Rin is based off of one of my favorite sea creatures, the Lionfish. Bright and beautiful, but venomous and a ruthless predator. She's also Siren.

Ruri is based on a Parrotfish. Beautiful, iridescent scales and placid nature who live in coral reefs. Also, bird pun becuase I couldnt resist.

Serena is a Human-Mer hybrid whose based off an Angler fish. Scary creatures who use beautiful light not to illuminate their surroundings, but to draw in prey. She requires more oxygen than a normal mermaid, so like a mudfish, she can chill out near the surface of the sea and take in oxygen when she needs to.

Ray is based off of a Sea Angel, which is apparently a sea slug. It's pretty and I dont know much about it, which is the exact same thing I can say about my girl Ray.

Under the cut ill get into my thoughts for each of the AUs! Including a minific which kind of adds a little context to my piece from Mermay!

Ill go over all my ideas for the different storylines - marked by their ship- and at the end is minific! Sorry for any punctuation/spelling mistakes!

Genesisshipping:

Zarc is an apprentice boatsman on his first voyage on a big ship. After smashing into rocky bluffs, the boat he's on capsizes and falls into the ocean. Almost drowning, he is rescued at the brink of death by Ray, who takes him to an uninhabited island to bring him back to life. Over a year or so, the two fall in love and while Zarc does want to escape the island he beleives its futile and doesnt even try. Eventually a ship does come to rescue him, and he promises Ray that he'll make it back to the island one day to be with her.

After hes back on land, people ask him what happened, howd he survive, ect; he eventually lets slip that a mermaid saved him. This makes it around, and eventually wealthy prospectors hear. Entranced by money and power wished to him, he leads hunters to the island to capture Ray.

Thinking that hes back to start a life with her, Ray's shocked when other people come from the boat and try to capture her. Realising Zarc had sold her out, she escapes to the sea, never to be seen again. Realising the error of his ways, Zarc decides to stay on the island after the disgruntled hunters leave in an attempt to attone for his greed and to hopefully see Ray one more time.

Appleshipping:

Hugo had always heard tales about sirens in books and wanted to if they were real or not. After attempt of humours faliures to become part of an actual reputable ship crew, he falls in with some pirates who decide to take him out to the seas. On his maiden voyage, he is so nervous that he cant fall asleep on his first night. Thats when he hears it. A siren's song in the distance.

The rest of the crew asleep, he steals a rowboat to find the source of the singing. He finds it- the most beautiful girl hed ever seen, singing the most beautiful song hed ever heard. He falls head over heels for her at first sight.

While Rin just wanted a meal, she now has to put up with idiot pirate trying to woo her. She is severly displeased about it, and makes it known. Then she realises- this dude is a grade A idiot with the luck of god on his side and now has to live with a human taking up her favorite rock. Ridiculousness insues

FallenAngelShipping:

Ute grew up in a port town that had a great relationship with the fellow merfolk. He and Ruri grew up together, and eventually became a couple. One day, the village was raided by hunters, who both killed and captured the humans and merfolk, burning the town to the ground.

While hed somehow escaped from the raiders, he knows he has to break in to the enemy camp as they transport prisoners and set everyone free.

After weeks of planning and watching them from afar, he finds the perfect moment and storms the encampment, setting everyone free, including his best friend Shun and his lovely Ruri.

While they are displaced, remaining survivors help rebuild the city, and they try to rebuild their lives. Now with round the clock border security :)

Predatorshipping:

Joeri is a wealthy buisness man who found success selling various snake oils in his teens. Feeling bored of scamming people out of their cash, he goes to a beah town in an effort to refresh, regroup his thoughts, and figure out his next buisness move.

While walking a beach in the dead of night, he notices a glow coming from a little cave in the distance. Sneaking a peek, he notices Serena stting, resting, and his mind races. Mermaids are uncommon, but not unheard of but most people havent seen one, so what if he could show her off?

Practically smelling the money from the buisness opportunity, he approaches her. She startles, and draws a weapon on him. That night he tries to talk her down and using all of his sales knowledge and charisma, tries to get her to warm up to him.

While it ends up in faliure, the next night she is in the cave again. And he makes up his mind to convince her to join him, whether that be by convincing her with his words, or bribing her with anything he can get his hands on. He has a goal and wont stop until it's realised.

Fruitshipping:

Feeling wanderlust in his early teens, Yuya decides to dedicate his life to becoming an adventurer to see all the beautiful sights hes read about in his beloved father's old travel diaries. After about a decade of seeing what the continent has to offer, he takes a wrong turn (not the first time) and accidentally stumbles into a serene clearing blanketed in cherry tree blossoms nestled in between foothills. In awe, he explores the adorable little field, picking wild dasies as he goes, and spots a lake fed by mountains. As he investigates, he is jumpscared by a mermaid who warns him to leave immediately or face the consequences.

After a breif moment of shock, he starts to laugh. Yuzu is flabbergasted, as most humans would have fled at that point. He tells her that meeting a mermaid was always on his bucket list and that hes pleased to make her acquaintance, which leaves her even more shocked.

While she is standoffish at first, Yuya sets up camp near the water's edge to really drink in the scenery, subbornly telling an annoyed Yuzu that it was the best vantage point in the clearing.

While he'd oly planned to stay for a couple of days, as he talked to Yuzu- her sharing enchanting stories about the depths of the lake and the merfolk who lived there and in turn, her avidly listening to Yuya's travel stories- he decided to stay through the end of spring... and then summer... until eventually autumn's chill prompts him to eventually- begrudgingly- forces him to start packing up his temporary home.

Over the months the two talked and talked and became best friends. Through the wilting daisy chains they made, to the silly splash fights they shared on hot days, to almost sombre monitoring of deciduous leaves starting to fall as the lake theyd made memories in starts to slowly develop its winter shell, baring the aquatic from the terrestrial.

As they say their goodbyes, Yuya noticing Yuzu shivering slightly as she sits above the water, he promises her to come back in the spring with even more travel stories, handing her one of his earrings in a jesture of his vow. And she is overjoyed.

As they part ways, he catches her tightly gripping the blue crystal of his earring before she slips below the water, and he wishes that winter would just leave and never come back.

Over the winter, Yuya can't stop thinking of his time in the clearing. The curiosity that Yuzu would have for the camp meals he'd cook. The sparkle in her eye as he'd describe one of his adventures. Her concern over even the most miniscule of old wounds hed accrued over the years. Her witty remarks that never failed to get a laugh out of him. That no matter where he went, he'd always wonder what Yuzu would think if she'd been there with him.

As the weather started to turn from hail and snow to bright skies and sunshowers, he practically made a mad dash to the little clearing tucked away on the forgotten road near the foothills, hoping that the ice had melted in the area- if not for the whole pond, at least around the crude dock he'd put together to sit with Yuzu on, so close to where he'd set up camp.

As he approaced the sea of sakura, the blooming daisies, the grass rejuvenated after it winter hibernation, he noticed a figure waiting where she always was early in the mornings before he awoke, brushing her beautiful magenta tinged hair, facing toward the mountains in the distance.

He grinned and picked the prettiest of the wild daisies he could see on the bushes around him.

He was back home and couldn't be happier.

Yk what ive already made all my statements abt the teen wolf movie on instagram but imma say it here

As much as i love and breath teen wolf, its not the perfect show which is fine bc recognizing that is what makes its good. The thing is the movie? Godawful. The one thing i can appreciate is that the movie had an opening and the graohic design was cool

My problems with it?

-the plotline being abt allison. I think alisson (is it allison or alisson?) Is a fine character especially in s3, however, you killed her off. That whole s3 ending was abt her dying and isaac leaves BECAUSE of allison dying. Now ur gonna reopen that plotline that was TIED OFF? Ur not even gonna get stiles or isaac back into play even tho theyre arguably the most important for that season. And ur not gonna tell us how s6 ended??? Even with a flashforward of 2 years??

-the fbombs. Im sorry, what? U make a show that doesnt use f bombs at all and u make it creepy and horror but when u make the movie thats r rated meaning u can go even harder... u use it on fbombs? Might i add in the worst way possible. "Darkness motherfucker" wow. It just sounds so cringey. Either use it once meaningfully or dont drop one at all. U managed to make s3 be creepy without it do it again

-why the absolute fuck was liam in japan. By the hour and a half mark that question wasnt explained and it never was. Him and this girl hikari (whos gr8 actually) are just in japan and i guess own a bar??? I dont even know what they are to eachother let alone how they ended up there. I only knew that they love eachother bc they say that in jpn but like still??? Is it a sibling ily or a were dating and ily?

-the actors. Im sorry but if ur gonna get all these actors like masons and parrish and malia and whoever but u give them like what one line? Mason had legit like 2 lines in that movie. And u dont even know how he beacme a police officer! He just is! And they dont even say anything abt corey??? U could easily get his actor i know he aint doin anything rn. Liam and hikari? Also have like 3 lines in the movie

-personal thing lol but not everyone looks good with a beard and a shaved head

-lydia and stiles. Just bc u coudnt get dylan obrien cuz hes like the most succesful does NOT mean u just break up the couple that u built for six. seasons. You couldve said literally anything you couldve said stiles was dealing with some fbi shit or another supernatural disaster. Lydia having the dream? Tragic but stiles wouldnt have cared bc he loves her and wouldve just wanted to be with her forever.

-how can u not tell us who elis mother is. We ALLLL wanna know who derek banged im sorry but he slept with the enemy like three times and with his history and family history everyone just wants to know who it was.

-dereks death. WHAT THE FUCK this man survived a *pipe* going thru his back for like 10 minutes and survived, got brutally slashed and survived and ur telling me he died by magical fire. Sure teen wolf sure.

-if ur gonna introduce a character like alec in the season finale, bring him into play somehow recast him idc but do smt. Even nolan! Someone !

-what was with the whole nogitsune temple thing?? It was so... not scary at all and it looked bad. Like idk it was just so kiddy. Like oh noooo we re trapped bc we re tied to a pole with rope -_-

-sorry but again why continue a plotline that has been tied off? And not continue with the one that was open ended when u cant even get the significant actors for the s3 plotline? Bring daniel sharman into play, medicis over he has the freetime.

-malia and scott breaking up is also stupid bc again they were "endgame" and they had no reason to break up other than the fact that allison was alive again and for plot reasons.

-harrison coming back was so stupid i was so glad they killed him off even tho i guess they never found his body. I was hoping

-are argent and melissa not dating anymore? Its been like 3 months since ive seen the movie so i dont rememeber that but if they arent, why are the writers/producers, whoever, so desperate to break up everything great they had goin at the end of the show.
