if elijah had to choose between his sisters and brothers (and if we ignore the special position klaus has) he would choose his sisters. he finds his sisters in general more affable and reasonable. they don't always have the same views and opinions and agree with each other but that's okay because they can act like civil people. a disagreement is no reason for war or harming each other.

elijah for example will always express his concerns but in the end, he lets his sisters make their own choices (remember when he gave 'rebekah' the cure although he wasn't entirely convinced it was the right choice?).

and in return, his sisters respect him. there was a moment in tvd s3 where elijah told rebekah 'no' and forbade her to snack on elena and she respected that. reluctantly but still. his sisters also have never harmed him in any way which gives them a big bonus.

unlike his brothers who often do things just to spite him. do exactly the opposite of what was discussed? check. destroying things elijah is fond of? check. killing people elijah is close to? check. daggering (yes, i look at you klaus)? check. using his daggered body as a deposit? check.

now that I think about it, the Night Nurse being convinced that Charles isn't lying to her about bringing Edwin and himself back to her after going to hell by watching their first meeting is so funny because what about that convinced her they would ever let themselves be separated?? I feel like she was so moved by watching it that she honestly forgot exactly what she was trying to look for, like it turned more into proving Edwin didn't belong in hell and adding to her own journey of losing faith or at least complete devotion, in the afterlife rather than whether Charles was lying about if they'd go with her once they were back from hell.

So when Charles has gone and she's waiting for them with Niko like, what the hell am i doing?? it's cause she was all wrapped up in how heart-felt and lovely Charles and Edwin were that she wanted to help them and forgot about getting actual proof they'd willingly go to the lost and found department with her when they returned.

My favorite Arcane character is and forever shall be Ekko (best boy). Other faves are Viktor (chronic illness baby) and Jinx (trauma gremlin).

As for the S1 scene... Besides the finale and that breathtaking Guns for Hire sequence? The Ekko/Jinx fight from ep 7. It broke me. (And turned me into a Timebomb shipper. Which was arguably worse.)

I just realized some people are confused about events in the alluded to past in Mouthwashing, particularly about how long the crew has been working together.

The only person who is truly new is Daisuke and it’s why his dynamic with the crew and role in the story is very unique and somewhat distant. Curly didn’t just get Jimmy this job on the Tulpar, he got him the job with the Pony Express. He’s been his copilot for probably a couple of years but still not as long as they’ve been friends. None of them are new with the freight industry, Anya and Swansea especially have been doing this for years, together.

Jimmy is the newest on the regular crew, maybe just a few assignments, but it’s not his first time working with them. I think it’s just something important because this isn’t just one bad mistake that snowballed with giving Jimmy the job. None of them thought Jimmy would do anything, no matter how off-put by him they could’ve been, since he hadn’t done a thing since being there. Generally unpleasantness isn’t a crime and he’d be aware of that.

It was a festering thing and a sort of forced trust they had to give him that he knowingly took advantage of. He was the black sheep and still a wolf under the wool. He expected when he lashed out, that he had been there long enough for it to be looked over completely. Got too comfortable in the space he inserted into and did a lot of damage with his claws when he felt he was going to get shaken out.
