Daniel could feel his grin grow, eyes softening, and his shoulders loosening all at the sound of her name. It takes him a moment to register the question, but when he does his grin grows more.

“I wasn’t really expecting it, you know? But she’s just great, I mean absolutely fantastic.” “And the age difference isn’t an issue?” The reporter presses, though more gently than expected. He scoffs, shaking his head. “No, not all. We want the same things in life and we both have very similar timelines for when we want them. We talked about all of that before we even went on a date and us wanting the same things, just helped finally take the next step.”

“And has the backlash affected you two at all?” “No.” Daniel smiles at the confused look the reporter gives him, letting out a chuckle. “We knew it was going to cause a splash. We’ve never ignored the age difference between us. It’s there and ignoring it wouldn’t do anything.” He pauses, “I understand why people are so concerned, there is a history of large age gaps not being great. But there’s also a history of them working out great, I’ve got plenty of examples in my personal life. Besides, it's not really the age difference that matters, it’s where you're at in life and what you want to come next. We just happen to be in the same place and want the same things to come next.”

The reporter is looking at him stunned before they finally manage to find their voice. “Thank you, Daniel.” “Of course, cheers mate.” He winks, before throwing up a hand to wave at the camera before he jogs off, already knowing that he’ll have a text or two from her calling him a sap over his lovesick grin. And he’d hate to not see them as soon as they came in.

I have a germ of a theory that good Christian fiction has stories that are less about shaving down your personality to meet some specific mold of what a good Christian looks like, and more about "how gloriously different are all the saints."

Not that the Christian life doesn't involve fighting against our own sinful nature and conforming ourselves to Christ-like behavior, but I think it makes for better, more realistic, and more universal stories when you also recognize that people have different gifts and flaws and they're going to be called to use their unique personalities to serve the kingdom of God in their own unique way, instead of assuming everyone has to conform themselves to a very specific (often secular-culturally based) image of good behavior. It makes for a much more vibrant story.

I always find it a little funny and amusing the common "Corypheus's For I have seen the throne of the gods, and it was empty! is such a raw line, it goes so hard" because I've always been DEEPLY unimpressed with it. it comes across for me as super tryhard and edgy. I can't be impressed with it because it feels like it's TRYING to impress me, it's straining too hard to be A Good Line that it sounds forced. like, I don't even think it's the best line of that MONOLOGUE, let alone the whole scene.

I started some doodles while making Jericho's redesign that I decided to share here! "Doodles," I say, as they are in full lineart and color... but you know what I mean. Mostly as practice for drawing people in slightly more dynamic poses, but also to draw some fun stuff.

Gowther, as expected, looks pretty good in most things; he's a little confused, but he'll get there. I used the scene of Ban holding Meliodas in Season 1 as the base for the one here, and let me tell you it was not exactly easy to figure out he would be positioned with the redesign. Especially since he's freakishly small in that scene. Just as Ban has a weirdly long torso. But what am I here for if not to fix the bodily proportions of these characters, am I right lads?

Teach is such an asshole, he’s basically Cain betraying his sworn brothers and family for power and glory. He was raised by a loving crew since childhood and yet, he turned out to be like this-

He started like this.

Why.

In the world would a child, be alone and crying at night without any ounce sleep turn into such an awful man?..

What happened to him to make him believe that nothing but power matters? Why didn't he change when he was surrounded by comradery and familial love?

What. The hell. Happened.

And why?…

He makes me sad because he had the chances to be better. To be good but instead he just betrayed everyone for nothing, he spilled blood for power. He killed his own father-figure for it, his brothers, everyone died on his path for it…

He is such a fascinating character because of it too, he started off anti-social to everyone but grew jovial when he got older. As if his own self-isolation made him go insane. It makes me so unbelievably sad but angry too, I hope to god he is haunted.
