In the previous Tom Cardy post I said “If I could animate I’d do this” but then I remembered that I used to illustrate songs with comics all the time! So please, start the song and read along.

I decided to go with original characters because there are some things being implied here that I don’t feel comfortable implying about Tom and Brian. I was heavily inspired by them though because Tom already looks like pure chaos.

It would for sure have worked better if I had already illustrated High Five and Flirt (With your dad) to really drive home what a pest Tom is in Michael’s life but oh well.

It was a lot of fun to return to a more loose cartoony style and it gave me the confidence I think I needed to start a bigger project.

There was a time I thought nothing was working.

I was putting in the effort, showing up everyday- but everything felt stuck. Silent. Like I was shouting into the void.

And for a second, I wondered: What if this isn't for me?

But then I realized something: This is the part where most people quit.

Not because they aren't good enough. Not because they won't make it.

But because they don't see the growth that's happening beneath the surface.

And I don't want that for you.

I don't want you to walk away when you're closer than you think.

You are not stuck. You are becoming.

One thing about the Emperor romance I love the most is the concept of a beautiful, interesting and admirable mind.

I love the idea that their romance is not about physical appearance or sex appeal but rather about the state of your/Tavs mind.

Even when refusing the tadpole, the Emperor comments on your conversations he enjoyed and that you are an interesting fella. Obviously with mental limitations but still, admirable.

Not even once he comments on your physical appearance which, let's be honest, would be an easy take when trying to manipulate you, since everybody spends 3 hours in the character creation and all my Tavs are pure divine!

But naaah, that's just not his flirting style, he enjoys every wrinkle of your brain though and he's telling you about it.

When you take the special tadpole he calls you "Exquisite!" but again, this has nothing to do with your black-teeth-and-black-eyed-half-illithid-self but with your evolved mind which became even more interesting to him.

He loves your mind, your thoughts, the power you have with it and also the bond he can share with you, now that you are more "compatible".

I think this bond between two beings beyond their physical form is such a beautiful and interesting concept.

Also to know someone in such a deep and profound level is indimidating but also thrilling at the same time.

I love it and I love those few Emperor/Tav fanfictions which focus on this concept. You give me LIFE!

I even think this is the concept I love the most in BG3.

Oh, to be loved by someone only for your exquisite wrinkled mind.

Is it OK to not have it all figured out?

Hell yes!

It is absolutely OK to not have it all figured out.

Why?

Because no one is perfect, life isn't perfect.

Even the most talented or wealthiest person, I'm sure, doesn't have it ALL figured out.

But that's what life is about. It's a continuous journey of learning, growth, and change.

It's very normal to encounter uncertainty and to not have all the answers all at once.

But we embrace it, and over time, we will have a deeper understanding of ourselves and our journey.

Despite if we try to force everything figured out, it may lead to unnecessary pressure, especially when faced with challenges and setbacks.

Why rush?

Life isn't a race to achive perfection, so lets give ourselves the freedom to explore different paths, and make mistakes along the way that we can learn and grow from, instead of being stuck in a rigid plan.

When we have accepted that we don't know everything..yet, we find ourselves open to new possibilities and opportunities.

Therefore, it allows us to be more compassionate towards ourselves and others.
