Like no I don’t think they listen to this artist. Does the song apply to them? Yes. Do I love this song? Yes, but they wouldn’t play it themselves.

She was drunk. It didn't happen much anymore, drinking such an everyday part of her life that her liver could give Arnold Schwarzenegger a run for his money. But some nights, like tonight, she made it earn it's keep, that was for damn sure. Eyes drifted around the clubhouse, taking in faces both familiar and unknown, or a few who were somewhere in between. Like Beau, he was Devon's nephew, secretary of the Tonopah chapter of the Sons, and yet, she felt like she barely knew anything about him. Normally, that shit wouldn't bother her, nor would she take any actions to rectify it. But the liquor in her system made her think otherwise. "So tell me, Beau, Beaufort, Beauson, what exactly does a secretary do?" she asked as she sidled up to the bar, "Like, do you schedule stuff, make sure everyone gets to church? Coordinate everyone to make sure you're all rippin' off the same bank or some such?"

With the heat on the rise she'd swung in for an ice cream on a whim, waiting patiently in the queue and absentmindedly scrolling to kill time. A voice near the front of the line loudly declared someone else to be a liar and her attention switched from her phone to the scene unfolding in front of her, eyes widening as the argument grew in pitch and intensity. Brows raised she shared a glance with the man next to her, expression turning incredulous as the woman smashed her newly purchased ice cream into the mans face before storming out, the man running after her still shouting. The blonde brought a hand up to her mouth to help stifle a laugh at the ridiculousness of it all. "I guess that's what you get for trying to cone your girlfriend - she'll return the favour." Voice was hushed, not quite knowing how her poor puns would go down and she worked to keep a smile from her face though it was undoubtedly a losing battle. "Do you think it'll be a rocky road to reconciliation? Personally I think they should take inspiration from a banana and split."

Beau and Dorian were childhood best friends. They've known each other since they were little and they became even closer as they grew up. They dated for a little while, and had an unofficial third in their other best friend, Orias. But Beau moved away to seek better opportunity (because he desperately wants to be famous) and broke up with Dorian before leaving. Fairly healthy so far right? But Dorian is a MESS. He's super reserved and never deals with his emotions, but he just WILL NOT leave Beau alone. It's bad, like every night he calls him and leaves him some heart-wrenching and VERY manipulative voice-mail, he sits there crying all the time, admits he would do ANYTHING to see him again. Beau just ignores him the whole time. Eventually, they're brought back together in a VERY public setting, with Orias there too (who has been watching Dorian crumble this whole time) and they all hook up. Beau wants to keep it hush-hush and not get back together with Dorian but Dorian is so glad to have Beau back. Orias wants to stay with both of them but doesn't do anything about their relationship either. Eventually Beau and Dorian kind of get back together? But it's still a mutually destructive relationship because of their inherently conflicting priorities and incompatible personalities. It's bad Tl;dr Beau left because he wanted to be famous and Dorian won't leave him alone so them and another friend are all brought back together and get back together even though they're all worse off for it.

Deputy Dean Sinclaire x Jacob Seed

why does your ship deserve to be considered the most toxic?:

It all starts with Jacob kidnapping Dean, or having his chosen kidnap him for him technically. You know, how most loving relationships start. Then it goes into Jacob starving Dean for weeks, mentally conditioning him, psychologically torturing him and chipping away at his mental resolve until he breaks and becomes the perfect murder machine; which is when Jacob tricks him into killing one of his closest allies. (Not to mention his initial goal was to make someone deserving of killing him, romance in self destruction via outward force and so on and so forth). After all of this you'd think they hate each other and honestly a part of Dean does hate him but another part of him craves his praise and attention and he knows he's too far gone at this point and the only person who could love a monster is another monster. He's everything he ever feared he'd become and Jacob is the now steady force holding all his broken peices together. Congrats to Jacob for literally making him worse! And congrats to Dean for making Jacob unhealthily obsessed with him and making him feel something for the first time in years! Even if it was possessiveness and a twisted version of love! They beat the shit out of each other on multiple occasions, sometimes before or during sex. They threaten to kill the other's families and almost go through with it a few times. By the end Dean is willing to kill anyone who tries to hurt Jacob and Jacob is willing to do the same, they're tragic, they're toxic, they're the worst, they make everyone uncomfortable and they'll probably die covered in each other's blood. But at least they'll be holding hands <3

Ava didn't often venture out to bars by herself — at least not since having Gracie. Her days of wild nights out were long behind her, but The Outpost was the one exception. She was guaranteed to know at least one person in there at any given time, and so she always felt perfectly safe to enjoy herself. "So, are you actually working tonight, or are you just a lingering boss man presence?" she asked Beau from her seat at the bar with a raised brow. Taking a sip of her drink, she glanced around the room for a moment, it was a little busier than she'd expected, and there was a group of people she'd not seen before sat at a table in the corner. Ava turned back to Beau with a knowing smirk. "Big boss man Beau, for sure. You know those guys? They don't look very friendly."

Family dinner had become a staple since she'd moved back to town, never able to say no to her father or siblings when it came to spending time together. She had years of making up to do, after all. But despite the enjoyable evening, after a few drinks the last thing she wanted to do was return to her home to sit in silence. Her own company was something she'd grown more at ease with but there were nights she felt her mind would wander into dangerous territory. There was one person who'd sprung to mind and Ava headed to The Outpost in search of a light-hearted atmosphere and company that would be the perfect distraction. Little wave was given to Beau as she hopped up onto a seat at the bar to wait her turn. When it finally rolled around she didn't place an order but instead reached for a bad joke on the off-chance it would make him laugh. "So, do you come here often?" But for all the playful tone and the smile that briefly rested on her lips, her nose wrinkled almost immediately after she'd finished speaking, regretting her choice of words. "Ugh." Head shook in distaste of her own lack of originality, her way with words seemingly deserting her, before doe eyes looked at her friend pleadingly. "Can we pretend I said something wittier? Please? Or at least less of a cliché?"

Cassie's shift on the bar didn't start until later that afternoon and yet somehow she had found herself helping Beau haul in a delivery. It was hard work but she was happy to help because there was a part of her that knew she didn't want to be alone right now. Keeping busy was good, keeping busy meant her racing thoughts didn't ruminate for too long.

She released a heavy sigh as she loaded the last box into the backroom, knowing all they needed to do now was organise it all. "So I saw Isla the other day, which surprised me entirely." Cassie hesitantly planted the seed, trying to act nonchalant about his sister's silent return. "I didn't know she was coming home. Is she back for good, or?"

Beau knew Cole was right. The problem was that knowing that was what he needed to do and getting himself to do it were two different things entirely, one far easier to accept than the other. With Isla and Devon both back in town, the need to keep the family together felt more important than ever before, so putting himself first felt like the wrong move.

"Yeah, maybe," he finally said, the response good for both subjects. Maybe he would have to resign himself to the fact he'd never understand what happened between the two of them; maybe he'd go to his grave never knowing how to set things right with Logan. It wasn't the answer he wanted to hear, but deep down, he was grateful for Cole saying it. Rubbing his hand over his face to swipe away any remnants of the tear streaks on his cheeks, he took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. "Thanks for letting me get that out. You cool if I call it a day? I don't know if I can get my head back into work mode right now."

Sinclair family name etymology:

The surname Sinclair means ‘renowned.’ Fair enough considering their small town fame, but it also speaks to how secretive they were with their abuse. Their name says basically not only that they were famed, they were also adored and loved. Either nobody had a clue how they treated their children or didn’t care.

As for Trudy, her name also means ‘beloved.’ The printed program for her funeral and the news articles may have been genuine in referring to the town’s adoration of her. However her name has dual meaning and can also mean ‘ruler of the spear.’ Essentially Trudy’s first name is representative of her two sided nature. Her children love her and crave her validation even after she has been dead for a decade, but she was abusive and her love was weaponized more than it was genuine. While she presented herself as this figure fitting of admiration, she was at the same time ruling her home with violence. Each of her children have individualized meanings as well based on how she saw them, showing her full influence.

Vincent means ‘victor’, as in the ‘one who conquers/conquerer’. Doctor Sinclair is named Victor. So he is named after his father and seen as the ‘winner’ of his parents’ affections. It’s likely Vincent was the only planned child, at least out of the twins. They announced using the newspapers that the couple were only expecting once child, and after the twins were born they treated Vincent as their only son worthy of their affection. Considering his name, it’s likely because he’s just an extension of his father’s success and family plans. Even his name isn’t unique.

As for Bo, which is short for Beauregard, he’s not loved the same way. His full name means ‘a beautiful look.’ Trudy saw her two babies and could only think about Bo having quote unquote -taken the beauty- from Vincent by means of their conjoinment. His name isn’t a family name, it’s referring to their situation and the fact that they immediately think his looks are the most important thing about him, even as a tiny child. That he should be grateful for being beautiful and unaffected physically by the separation surgery. (Though I personally think he should definitely have a scar on his neck.) All of this is likely why he shortens it and changes the spelling to Bo- instead of Beau. ‘Bo’ has a totally seperate meaning. This name instead means ‘house owner’ and ‘leader.’ He wants to reinvent his identity fully, from being named bitterly to being regarded for his actual abilities. Not just a boy who got lucky, but an actual strong head of the Sinclair family.

Always the forgotten brother, Lester, however, has a name with no meaning. The name originally referred to coming from a specific place in England, which the family likely did not, and that’s typically only as a surname anyhow. His name is also thus the only one without French origin (assuming that Trudy is short for Gertrude.) As a first name, there is just no meaning at all to the name Lester. After their experience with Bo, it’s likely he was an unplanned addition, who means nothing significant to Trudy or Victor. Unlike his brothers, he has less ties to the town and no newspaper clippings displayed in the museum about him. Even the high chair isn’t there, possibly not even getting his own. He has no name in Ambrose at all.

Not that these name choices necessarily were deliberate in universe, but I find it interesting to see where they could have come from for writing purposes.

Random Sinclair Headcanons Because I Can't Get Them Out Of My Head

Oh snap I'm back again. I'm feeling relatively inspired so I figured I may as well give some more silly little headcanons. Today we'll be talking about everyone's favorite hardass - Bo Sinclair! Hope you guys like my dumb headcanons

Bo Sinclair

Bo is the older twin. Granted it's only by literal seconds because of how he and Vincent were conjoined, but if you wanna get technical he was first

Since his full name is Beauregard, his nickname should really be spelled "Beau". When he was a toddler and his parents were teaching the boys how to spell their own names, Bo adamantly refused to spell it as Beau and instead picked Bo. Baby Bo said it was because it made an O sound, so it should just be O. Trudy and Victor didn't really argue with that, figuring a two letter name was easier for a kid to remember anyway

The first time he was restrained in the high chair happened when the twins were about 2. Trudy and Victor had previously tried to handle his tantrums with time-outs, sending him to his room, but he kicked and punched and screamed back too much

That's when they got the "genius" idea of restraining him to his highchair. It started with just the straps, but he actually managed to start tearing them apart with how hard he pulled at them. That's when the duct tape came in

As we all know, children are VERY sensitive in this stage of their development when it comes to discipline. It can really set the tone for how they perceive their parents. Once his parents would start strapping him in, whatever he was upset or angry about completely went out the window - it was just straight up fear at that point

The amount of time he'd be left in the chair varied, but usually it could be anyways from 15 minutes to over an hour. The longest times were in the beginning when they first started doing this to him

When he finally "calmed down" enough that his parents deemed it okay to let him out of the chair, Trudy would tend to the wounds on his wrists. It may have been her twisted form of an apology, but what does that matter if they just kept doing it?

Once he was away from his parents, that's when he would break down and cry. Not normal crying you'd expect from a young child, though. He'd cry so hard he was almost completely silent since he couldn't really breathe in steadily, his mouth would be open almost like he was trying to scream but couldn't

Vincent always looked for him after every time he was restrained to the high chair. Being so young, he didn't really know what to say to comfort Bo, so he just sat there with him and hugged him tight for as long as he needed

These were the only times Bo gave in and let his emotions out in front of another person. He'd just feel so scared and defeated after being restrained that he didn't have the energy to fight back at that point

These were also the rare times he'd actually accept hugs from Vincent

I don't really have an idea on whether his outbursts were from brain damage from the surgery, something he was naturally neurodivergent with, or if he just kinda threw really harsh tantrums

BUT regardless of what caused it, his outbursts and chair "sessions" did become less and less frequent as he got older. Mostly it's because the only thing these moments taught him was that he couldn't trust his parents

To a child, it just seems like you get in trouble any time you express negative emotion. That's why he got so good at bottling everything up and not telling anyone what he really felt

He also did genuinely mellow out more as the years went on. He was a kid, of course he was still gonna have tantrums and outbursts, but the worst of those happened when he was really young

Trudy and Victor finally stopped restraining him down when Bo was about 10. This is the age he got REALLY good at just keeping everything inside and only letting it out if he absolutely knew he was alone

Since he did get better at regulating his emotions before they kinda exploded as he got older, his relationship with his parents got better as he got older. Still, it was damaged in ways that could never be repaired. He genuinely loves his parents, and they loved him (despite being so shitty), but he never trusted them

Bo had a habit throughout the years of picking and scratching at the wounds on his wrist, especially when he'd hide away crying afterwards. This just made the scarring more prominent

He does have pretty extensive scarring on the back of his head from the separation surgery, but it's all completely covered by his hair. It would really only be visible if he shaved his hair off

Okay now with all the horrifying stuff out of the way, we can move on to more light-hearted headcanons

Bo is genuinely charming by nature, and he can actually sincerely be very sweet. This was more so when he was a little kid, but it's still there. The sweetness just got buried under all the trauma, so it rarely comes out much ;-;

The charm however is almost always at 100. He learned fast as a kid that being charming or cute was really endearing to everyone else around him

Tons of women around Ambrose would tell Trudy that he was gonna be a heartbreaker once he was grown up. That's what started boosting his ego

Genuinely he's never been insecure about his appearance aside from the scars. He knows he's hot shit, he feels no reason to be insecure about it

Bo would actually always be perfectly still and cooperative whenever Trudy made a cast of his face to make masks for Vincent. When his mother told him they were doing something to make his brother feel better about himself, he immediately agreed to be on his best behavior

To this day he hasn't complained once when the casting is being done. Before and after it are fair game, though, and really it's just affectionate teasing at that point

Bo was one of those kids that was naturally good at sports. On the occasions his father would play baseball or basketball with the kids, he picked up on it fast and loved just being able to run around

Baseball was always his favorite. It was also the one he seemed to be best at

We can see in the movie that he has a scar along his jaw (I know this is just because Brian Van Holt has a scar there but still). He got it when he was around 12 and attempted to climb a tree

In all fairness the process of climbing up the tree was successful, it was just trying to climb down that didn't go so well lol. He lost his footing and got scraped pretty deep by a branch as he fell

It was just serious enough to need stitches, but he never really cared about it being there

He genuinely loves music. He knows how to play piano because both the twins learned as kids, and he picked up guitar as a teenager. Naturally he was just more musically inclined than Vincent

The piano in the House of Wax was specifically added for Bo. Trudy would take the boys with her when she'd add some new additions, so she got the idea to add the piano so he would have something to do while she worked. She actually really loved hearing him play, he was very good at it, and it helped her concentrate

Trudy loved music too, so that's kinda where he gets it from. He also feels that it helps him vent his frustrations when he listens to hard rock and metal

Trudy actually encouraged his talent, just not to the point she did with Vincent and his art

Bo also has genuine talent as a mechanic. He was one of those kids that loved taking things apart and putting them back together again. When he was able to start taking auto shop in school, he was thrilled

I'm sure many of us noticed, but Bo's ring originally belonged to Victor. On the rare occasions he would sit in his dad's lap as a kid, he would always play with the ring on his hand and told his dad he wanted one just like it when he was grown up

Victor gave it to him on his 18th birthday. It's one of his favorite memories he has regarding his father because he didn't think his dad actually remembered the stuff he said about the ring as a kid

He has a habit of playing with it and twisting it. Most of the time it's just from fidgeting and he doesn't realize he does it, but it's also a coping mechanism for him

As I said before, even though his relationship with his parents was complicated to say the least, he did love them. The ring reminds him of the happier moments he had with his dad growing up

I mentioned in Lester's post that Victor would take him and Lester hunting on occasion, and he would always get so excited for those weekends! He got real enjoyment out of it, and seeing his father be proud of his marksmanship was an added bonus

I don't know why but I think he's a violent sleeper. As in he moves around a lot throughout the night. He'll often wake up to find he's completely kicked the blanket and sheets off his bed

It doesn't happen every single night, but it's definitely rare that he sleeps relatively peacefully

These also happen because of his night terrors from PTSD, though he'd rather set himself on fire than admit that

Also he snores pretty loud, he definitely does. Sorry I don't make the rules I'm just delivering the message

As I'm sure we all know, he loves his brothers to death. They're the only two people in the world he trusts completely

Of course he still has trouble expressing that, and his love language is kinda being an asshole and teasing them both

I don't see Bo as abusive, personally. The only time we really see him lash out at Vincent is in the kitchen after he'd been shot twice with a crossbow. I think most of us would be in a bad mood if we had a piece of an arrow sticking out of our chest and our brother kept trying to yank it out

But even with all the teasing, he always follows up with some sort of apology when it goes too far or he ends up taking his frustrations out on them. Granted, it's rarely ever an actual "I'm sorry" but more of compliments and comfort like he did with Vincent after snapping at him

His brothers are just his soft spot, man 🥹

He doesn't kill every single person that comes into strolling by. He has a soft spot for kids so none of the boys ever hurt families, pregnant women, children, stuff like that. Once you're out of your teens it's fair game

Bo and Vincent also tried their best to keep the killings a secret from Lester, they didn't want to drag their baby brother into their mess

Needless to say they did not hide it well

After his parents passed and the town went dead from the mill shutting down, Bo legitimately saw his idea of killing people to use for wax statues as a way of honoring his mother's work

He knew he didn't have the same artistic inclination as Vincent did, so he saw providing real models to work on as helping Vincent with his art, and therefore helping fulfill his mother's dream of making a wax town

Bo wasn't using Vincent or lying to him as Carly thought. Or at the very least he wasn't doing it on purpose, because he just genuinely saw the things he did as a way of helping

His thought process is basically "Even if I help just a little bit, it still counts, and maybe if I do this I can finally make my mother proud of me"

Alright I think that's enough for today. A few of the more general headcanons are definitely ones I've seen floating around, but I wanted to elaborate on them a little more in how I imagined them. Hopefully I'll get to Vincent's headcanons soon. See you soon my lovelies 😘💕
