“It’s sweet how you take your time like that.” Jôno said. One of his hands, which had been entangled in Tetchô’s hair, at the back of his head specifically, pulled with a force both knew was more than enough for him to take; a gesture Tetchô took as a signal to listen closely. “But time, I’m afraid, is a luxury we don’t have. Not right now, that’s for sure.”

Before replying, Tetchô left one last kiss over Jôno’s ribcage.

“So, are you suggesting to stop now and continue later, or do you want me to hurry up instead?” He then asked, and Jôno let out a brief laugh.

“And if what I had in mind was picking both options?” Those words were delivered in a velvety tone that almost suggested a challenge. As if there was any need to, when Tetchô was more than happy to do what he said at any given time. In that regard, at least.

“Then you’ll have it your way.” As it tended to be.

Hurrying didn’t mean Tetchô intended to skip any step, so he simply resumed what he had been doing right before, just faster. A new round of kisses was splattered around Jôno’s belly button and down, then Tetchô made his way through one of his thighs while caressing the other with one hand.

“Like this?” Instead of waiting for Jôno’s input, he opted for carrying on and changing anything as he went if having a negative answer… which was the exact opposite of what he got.

“... Yes.” And right after, there came a hum of satisfaction.

Noticing Kenji basically avoided getting too close to the small river wasn’t difficult, and it only became more obvious when it started raining. And Kunikida stating the shortest route to get back would entail crossing said river didn’t help either.

Speaking of Kunikida, he instantly shared a look with Atsushi right after that, clearly and silently pleading for him to comfort Kenji while he took care of mobilizing the rest; there was no need to discuss the reasons, since that had been done quite some time ago. Plus, even without knowing or having been tasked with it, Atsushi would have done it anyway. That was his friend, after all.

“Hey, everything alright?” Of course the answer was ‘no’ in a very resounding way, but there was no better way to ask.

“Yeah, I–” Kenji trailed off, holding onto Atsushi’s hand and not really managing to keep talking until receiving a reassuring squeeze. “I’m actually… sort of afraid of the water.”

“Would it help if it crossed it like this?” Atsushi quickly asked, softly swinging their joined hands. “You can even close your eyes, I’ll guide you. And you won’t fall, I promise.” Kenji stared at him, tightening his grip on Atsushi’s hand, then closed his eyes and nodded. “Alright. Can we go, Kunikida-san?”

When Kunikida answered with his own nod, he turned back to Kenji.

“It’s gonna be like, just three steps tops, ‘kay? We’re gonna be there before you even realize.” There came yet another nod. “So: one, two, three!!!”

As he had anticipated, it didn’t take more for them to cross. Then, once they were done, Kenji wrapped him into a bone-crushing hug that could have totally taken all the air out of his lungs when Atsushi was a rookie. Right then, instead, he reciprocated with force too.

“Thanks, Atsushi.”

got home from my job which is normally busy exhuasting and this is the one day i did not need to be there and it was completely dead but i had a long shift so instead i spent 8 hours sat on my own in an office with no other people staring at a wall because the mobile signal only worked half the time and i'm Still really tired now

Me this morning: I think I'm gonna go to a couple regional parks this morning, see how the flooding/river levels are before it starts raining at noon :)
