Ahhhh ok since everyone is doing it, here I go…..
When I saw Elvis on opening day last year, I was only going because my aunt wanted to bring me. After seeing the movie, I was not only shook af but also in love with austin. I was like all of the other people who didn’t like Elvis, but 3 days later I came to my senses.
Me being me, I ran to this hellsite to find fanfiction about both austin and Elvis. I remember taking a screenshot of someone who had said something along the lines of “WHERE ARE THE AUSTIN BUTLER FICS??!!” Well person from about a year ago, there’s thankfully plenty of them now.
I want to just thank everyone who I’ve met in this wonderful community and have formed bonds with, specifically @cryingabtab @austinbutlersbaby @powerofelvis @rosaminny @eliseinmemphis @butlersxbirdy @mooodyblue @marooosa @burninlovebutler @samfangirls @foreverdolly @lindszeppelin @thatbanditqueen @precious-little-scoundrel @polksalademma and Becca! (I’m sorry I couldn’t remember your username😭) I love you guys sm and I couldn’t be luckier to have such a wonderful group of people in my life, thank you times a million 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷
I’d also like to thank everyone who has written my fave fics bc they give me LIFE @cryingabtab @austinbutlersbaby @elvisabutler @prompted-wordsmith @burninlovebutler @powerofelvis @butlersxbirdy @mooodyblue @samfangirls @foreverdolly @headfullofpresley @mooodyblue @elaaronpresleysgirl @dilfelvis @blurredcolour @kiankiwi @deterioratingxprisons @be-my-ally @ggwritesstuff @plasticfantasticl0ver @stay-wildin @devilsflowerr @precious-little-scoundrel and any others that I may have forgotten! When I add those tags when reblogging your works, I seriously mean what I say 🥵 like DAMN ok y’all didn’t need to eat and leave no crumbs like that but you DID!!!!!!!!!
Also shoutout to the people I don’t really talk to but see in my notifications, I love you guys sm you are my WORLD 🫶🏻
Also I would lastly like to thank Elvis because when I went to go see this movie I was on my graduation trip, fresh out of high school, freshly 19 and it was such a vulnerable time in my life because I didn’t know what I wanted to do or where to go but this wonderful angel of a man blessed me with just a fraction of his beautiful spirit and energy and my life has never been the same sense…. Never in my life have I woken up with such a wholesome feeling in my heart and said “wow, I am so lucky to be able to know about and love this man”. Like I never have loved anyone in this world so much, and I’m sure you all can say the same.
Anyways, I’ll end this before I get too sappy and start crying, but I just wanted to say happy one year anniversary to this movie, and I love you all so much 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

National Sausage Pizza Day
Pepperoni gets the spotlight too often, but sausage is a great pizza topping. Make a sausage pizza at home, order delivery, or try a new kind of sausage.
Almost every person on the face of the earth has a favorite kind of pizza! Would that kind happen to be full of the robust, well-seasoned flavor of sausage? National Sausage Pizza Day reminds us that while Pepperoni may be considered the King of Pizzas, it’s Sausage Pizza that’s Queen.
Sausage Pizza is the second most popular pizza in the world (only behind its good friend, Pepperoni Pizza), and with so many variations on sausage, there’s an endless number of types that can be deeply enjoyed. National Sausage Pizza Day is the perfect opportunity to challenge the idea of boring pizza and try multiple types of this spicy and delicious topping.
History of National Sausage Pizza Day
Of course, it’s true that almost everyone likes pepperoni, but what most people don’t know is that sausage is nearly as popular on pizza as its cousin pepperoni. While most places that serve sausage pizza use classic Italian sausage, that’s a discredit to the incredible variety it is possible to get out of this incredible meat treat.
There are as many types of sausage as can be imagined, including beef sausage, chicken sausage, and of course the classic pork sausage. Each of these can be made with apples, fennel, cheese, garlic, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and a myriad of other ingredients that can change a simple sausage into a delicious extravaganza.
Sausage on pizza is nearly as old as the pizza itself and has been a common ingredient in this flatbread-based treat for centuries.
Since National Sausage Pizza Day falls within Pizza Month, it’s a doubly good reason to celebrate!
How to Celebrate National Sausage Pizza Day
Celebrating National Sausage Pizza Day can be loads of fun–and truly delicious! Get on board with all different varieties and brands of sausage pizza and try out these ideas for celebrating:
Go Out for Sausage Pizza
This is a great day to gather family or friends and head over to a pizza joint! Whether a deep-dish Chicago style or a thin crust New York-style, sausage pizza covers it all. Try out one of these unique and interesting pizza places that are known to offer some of the best pizza in the world:
Pizzeria L’Operetta in Singapore. Authentic Napoli pizzas are served in Southeast Asia at this delicious pizza place. Expect some interesting varieties of toppings!
Bæst Pizza in Copenhagen. Those searching for great pizza in Scandinavia need to look no further than Bæst in Denmark. They cook their pizza on a wood-fired stove that was imported from Naples!
Lamanna’s Bakery in Toronto. This Italian bakery is known for its authenticity, and its pizza recipe is no exception. Specializing in enormous slices of pizza, one slice can be shared with a friend (or even two!). Or, the brave few with a huge appetite can try it on their own. And the bakery offers delicious desserts–for those who have any space left after they have eaten their huge pizza slices.
Pizzeria Gino Sorbillo in Italy and Beyond. For the best in Italian pizza, of course, one must go to Italy (or, perhaps, Italy will bring the pizza to you). This chain of several pizzerias, owned and operated by Gino Sorbillo himself, has locations in Rome, Naples and Milan and other places in Italy, as well international locations of Tokyo, New York and Miami.
Make Pizza at Home
Some of the tastiest pizza is made in humble kitchens all over the world. The great thing about making it at home is that it can be made exactly to the specific desires and needs of the person (or family) who is making it! Enjoy making fresh dough or grab it from the refrigerator section at the grocery store. Stuff the crust, if desired. Make it thick or thin. Add various toppings (sausage required, of course). Then bake and enjoy!
Have Sausage Pizza Delivered at Work (or at Home)
Maybe the boss will pay for it, or maybe everyone will need to pitch in, but ordering sausage pizza for the folks at the office or the warehouse is a great way to celebrate the day! Check out local delivery deals that might be special specifically in honor of the day. Downloading the apps for the local pizza places is a great way to keep apprised of discounts and deals that are offered.
Discover Something New and Creative
National Sausage Pizza Day is a great opportunity to break free of old traditions and discover something new. Everyone has their favorite kind of sausage, and all of them can be used to top a pizza. One interesting favorite for a sweet sausage pizza is Apple Chicken Sausage, which lends a sweet flavor to the dish while still providing a tangy taste.
For the people who have only experienced classic Italian Sausage on their pizza in the past, it’s time to expand that palate. Head on down to the local butcher or deli department and ask them what they’d suggest using on a pizza, and turn them away from the Italian, since the point is to get creative here.
Get Cheesy for National Sausage Pizza Day
Looking for something cheesy and zesty? Some call it sacrilege, but other people may happen to enjoy putting Cheddar Wursts on their Sausage Pizza. Of course, this requires cutting it thin and layering cheese around it to get the best effect (because, honestly, who doesn’t just love cheese?), but it will taste absolutely fabulous. What other fun and unique variation will you come up with for National Sausage Pizza Day?

Caramelised Red Onion & Roasted Garlic Pizza
Caramelised Red Onion & Roasted Garlic Pizza©KevinAshton2023 On Tuesday I show my BBQ MasterClass students that it’s easy to make homemade pizza from scratch on a barbecue. I made the pizza dough the night before and place it in my fridge once the dough had doubled in size. Then I made the caramelised red onions, roasted garlic, grilled red peppers on the BBQ. Since my BBQ has a side burner I…

National Pizza Party Day
Make your own pizza at home, order in, or gather some friends for a pizza crawl through town to enjoy the ever popular Pizza Party Day.
Make your own pizza at home, order in, or gather some friends for a pizza crawl through town to enjoy the ever popular Pizza Party Day.
If there’s one thing that makes any day better it’s a hot slice of pizza shared among friends. National Pizza Party Day was created to give people an excuse (like we needed one) to get together with a group of people we love and enjoy the rich cheesy taste of pizza.
Pizza has a long history, and it has become one of the mainstays of office meetings, birthday parties, and friendly get-togethers.
History of National Pizza Party Day
The history of National Pizza Party Day is really the history of pizza itself. For thousands of years, people have been gathering around to enjoy this delicious food. Of course, all those years ago it may not have looked quite like we imagine it today.
The first people to make something like the pizza we know were the Greeks, who started by covering bread with bread, herbs, oil, and cheese. Another version was enjoyed by the Romans, who covered a dough sheet with honey and cheese and seasoned it with bay leaves.
Pizza first started looking like we’re familiar with as Neapolitan Flatbread in Italy, a dish made with mozzarella cheese from buffalo around Naples. Over time new ingredients were added and it spread across the globe.
In 1905 pizza found its way to America in a little pizzeria in Little Italy in New York City. Today cheese for pizza is produced in quantities of over 2 billion pounds every year and is one of America’s favorite foods.
With so much history behind this incredible dish, it’s not surprising that it finally got its own holiday. One of the challenges when organizing a pizza party is that not everyone agrees what should go on a pizza.
Some people fiercely believe that pineapple has no place on a pizza, while others think that anchovies do. The great thing about a Pizza Party is you can order enough variety for everyone!
Fun facts about Pizza
In an ode to National Pizza Party Day, let’s take a look at some fun and some surprising facts about pizza!
Western Europe is the biggest pizza market in the world, worth $54.4 billion, followed closely by America at $50.7 billion. You then have Latin and South America at $16.8 billion.
Americans order 350 slices of pizza every second!
The world’s most expensive pizza costs $9,200 and it can be found in Salerno, Sicily.
61 percent of people prefer thin-crust pizzas.
Women are twice as likely to order vegetarian toppings on their pizza compared to men.
Saturday is the most popular night to eat pizza. But, there’s never really a bad night for eating pizza, right?
You can order pizza from space – Yes, you read that right! Pizza Hut became the first restaurant to deliver a pizza to space, rocketing a pizza to an astronaut at the International Space Station. The pizza was topped with salami and extra spices because tastebuds are dulled in space.
Pepperoni is the most popular pizza topping! The least popular are anchovies, chicken, and pineapple.
How to celebrate National Pizza Party Day
There is nothing more delicious than celebrating this incredible day! You get to gather a group of friends together and order pizza from your favorite pizzeria. If you’re feeling really creative you can actually convince people to create their own pizza from scratch. You can start with a pre-made crust and sauce and just add your own toppings if you want it easy. Or you can go through the whole process of making it from scratch, sauce and dough and all!Another fun way to celebrate National Pizza Party Day is to do a “pizza crawl.” If you have ever wondered where the best pizza in your town is, National Pizza Party Day presents you with the perfect opportunity to find out. You can either do this solo and have your own party or you can get your friends together. Find out where you can get a pizza in your area, and go around different establishments. You can even take a book with you to rank your pizza experiences. If you get a slice from each place, you will be able to visit many establishments by the time you’ve had a full pizza!
