Rating AAI2 localization names, part 1!
part 2 HERE
Sebastian Debeste --> Eustace Winner
2/10, I hate it. I hate it so much. They named him 'Useless Whiner'. Why are they so damn mean to him??? Only isn't a 0/10 because admittedly he does look & act like a Eustace.
Justine Courtney --> Verity Gavélle
9/10, very pretty! Not as blatantly obvious as the fan-translation name, but still kinda on the nose with the whole gavel thing. Fits her well!
Ray Shields --> Eddie Fender
8/10. Very on the nose, but not in a bad way! I can accept it, it fits him.
Di-Jung Huang --> Di-Jung Wang
10/10! It's pretty much the same which is a plus, and I've gotta give them props for keeping the subtle 'the wrong one' wordplay! I'm completely happy with this.
Ethan Rooke --> Bastian Rook
7/10, not bad. A lot more on the nose, but it sounds kinda cool so it gets a pass from me.
Horace Knightly --> Bronco Knight
5/10. I...I've gotta give them props for still managing a horse joke, but oh my god. Fucking Bronco, really?? It matches his personality, but just...ugh.
Nicole Swift --> Tabby Lloyd
...y'know what, 7.5/10. It's violently on the nose, but I think it's funny so it gets a pass.
EDIT
Simon Keyes --> Simeon Saint
eh....solid 8/10. It doesn't roll off the tongue as well, but I get what they were going for and it does fit him. I'm just autistic and don't like it when a word doesn't sound/feel right, I'm not gonna dock points for that.

there are so many things i appreciate about this art. the perspective on shelly’s arm. bronco’s expression. the complete interchangeability of the unnamed bald security guards
there’s more to this than you can get in one screenshot but the implied relationship between rook and de killer is a lot of fun. de killer is one of those tertiary ace attorney characters who exists in a heightened-tropey place that, when it intersects with the actual main plot of the games, seems to leave glimpses of something more. I really enjoy the honorable hitman-consummate professional bodyguard cat-and-mouse thing

Photo
[Image Description: Three pen drawings on lined paper of Larry Butz, Simon Keyes/Souta, and Horace Knightly/Manosuke from Ace Attorney. 1: Horace/Manosuke and Larry are hugging Simon/Souta from either side. Manosuke, crying, says "I have no idea what's going on!" Larry, grinning, says, "I don't know either!" Souta, freaking out, cries "I don't know either?!"
2: Manosuke and Souta are sitting down in pants and sleevless tops. Souta has his clown makeup on and is applying some to Manosuke. Behind Souta is a mirror with circus trick equipment scattered around it. On the wall behind them is a photo stuck into the wall by a knife and a "Berry Big Circus" sign.
3: Souta kisses Manosuke, who now has clown makeup on him. Manosuke smiles nervously. Next to to that is a doodle of Manosuke and Souta talking to each other. Manosuke, resigned, says, "You went an' smooshed it." Souta has a hand on his head and tilts it to the side, sticking his tongue out. He says, "Oops! LOL.". Manosuke continues: "Right after you put it on". Above that is a drawing of a few characters on an orange post-it. Each one is labaled with thier name and a role in green marker. Manosuke: Acrobat, knife-thrower. Gai (Ethan Rooke): (unintelligible) juggler, fire-breather. Souta: Animal tamer, clown. Larrold: Everyone's assistant, cleaning: Larrold. On Larry's shoulder is a cat, Mr. Dinky. End description.]

All AAI2 official English character and case names rated based on whether I think they're better or worse than the fan translation equivalents:
Di-Jun Huang > Di-Jun Wang - It's the same.
Horace Knightley > Bronco Knight - Worse.
Ethan Rooke > Bastian Rook - Worse.
Nicole Swift > Tabby Lloyd - Much better.
Raymond Shields > Eddie Fender - Slightly worse.
Jay Elbird > Rocco Carcerato - Much better.
Simon Keyes > Simeon Saint - Slightly worse.
Sebastian Debeste > Eustace Winner - Sounds worse, fits better.
Justine Courtney > Verity Gavèlle - Much better.
Sirhan Dogen > Bodhidharma Kanis - Much better.
Patricia Roland > Fifi Laguarde - Much better, they've already done "patrol" twice.
Jeff Master > Samson Tangaroa - More unique, less punny. Not sure.
Katherine Hall > Judy Bound - Slightly worse because no food pun.
Isaac Dover > Artie Frost - References his nature as an artist, better.
Pierre Hoquet > Paul Halique - Same as Japanese name, no longer parrot.
Dane Gustavia > Carmelo Gusto - Worse, doesn't sound as awesome.
Delicia Scones > Delicia Scone - It's the same.
Karin Jenson > Florence Niedler - Much better. Florence Nightingale and needles.
Bonnie Young > Hilda Hertz - Better, because alliterative.
Jill Crane > Rosie Ringer - Better, alliterative. Different nursery rhyme.
Blaise Debeste > Excelsius Winner - The absolute Winner among these names. It's so pompous, contains "celsius" and "excel" and just sounds like he went to Oxford.
John Marsh > Shaun Fenn - It's the same. Shaun means John and fen means marsh.
Amy Marsh > Amelie Fenn - It's the same.
Dai-Long Lang > Da-Long Lang - It's the same.
Jack Cameron > Alf Aldown - Better, only because it's a Deid Mann tier awful name rather than a boring realistic name.
Turnabout Target > Turnabout Trigger - Better, sounds more like a presidential assassination attempt.
The Imprisoned Turnabout > The Captive Turnabout - Better, less long-winded.
The Inherited Turnabout > Turnabout Legacy - Better for same reason as above.
The Forgotten Turnabout > A Turnabout Forsaken - Sounds more pretentious, but probably better because less confusion with The Lost Turnabout, where Phoenix forgets.
The Grand Turnabout > Turnabout for the Ages - Worse, I think. It sounds cooler, but doesn't have any chess connotations. They should have called it "The Grandmaster's Turnabout" or "Turnabout Checkmate", I think.
Also, have updated case cards to help you get used to the new names.
EDIT;
Some extra things:
* iFly Airlines in AAI1 has been reverted to its Japanese name of "GoYou". This was probably done because iFly is the name of a real Russian airline with global sanctions against it since 2022.
* As a result, Hugo Ifly is now Ugo Hughes and the tanuki called Mr. Ifly is now Captain Ugo.
* Moozilla is now Taurusaurus, which I think is a better name.
* The Grand Tower is now the Bigg Building, suggesting that Big is not merely its size, but a Mr. Bigg is its proprietor.
* The Zodiac Hall galleries are now referred to as seasonal "Wings" rather than "Palaces". Makes more sense.
* Edgeworth Law Offices is now referred to as Edgeworth and Co. Law Offices, the Co. being Eddie Fender (aka Ray Shields). Again, makes more sense.
* Rocky the bear is now Teddy, since his owner is now already Rocco as a Rocky reference.
* Anubis the hunting dog is now Helmut, a lame pun on "hell mutt".
* Astique the elephant is now Azea, like an "Asian" elephant.
* Ally the alligator is still the same. Regina Berry is not very good at naming animals.

What's in a name? A (very) simple guide to find your Rook's name.
I’ve seen some people are wondering how some of us already have named Rooks, others have no idea how to get names or which names could be good, and since i kinda overdid it and have 11 Rooks already planned and named i thought i’d share some of my process and drop some ideas. This works for me, but maybe it can help others find their Rook’s name(s).
Keep in mind these are also fantasy names, they don’t have to make sense or have a specific meaning, you can literally make them up. I also take into consideration known naming conventions, for example in Elven we have Solas and Abelas’ names, with specific meanings (Pride, Sorrow) and judging by what Solas tells Abelas, it’d seem ancient elvhen would change their names according to roles or events in their life. Similarly in the Qun, we know their names aren’t names as we understand them but simply descriptors of the role that is assigned to them within the Qun.
It’s probably easier when it comes to human nations in Thedas: Orlesians are likely to have French names, Fereldans to have anglo names, Antivans to have Spanish and Italian names. Tevinter is a bit trickier because it’s based on the Roman empire and Latin is a pretty dead language, but they sure liked to make records so we have names there too.
Elvhen names:
I literally opened a tab with the Elven language DA wiki page and read everything -for the bazillionth time tbh-; DA elven language is a cipher, not a conlang, so feel free to make things up because we don’t have the full cipher -i’m not even sure BW does- .
For Elven names i check the wiki for words that i like the sound of, the meaning of, ideally both. If i feel something is “missing” i may add a letter or combine different words into a new one.
Here are some examples:
Athima, from athim, humility
Atisha, from Atish'an, atisha is peace
Sethena, from Sethen'a or Setheneran, land of waking dreams or where the veil is thin, aka the Fade.
Revaren, from Revas, freedom, and Renan, voice.
Alasan, from alas, earth/dirt, and suffix an, place.
Sulahni, from sulahn, sing.
Samahli, from samahl, laughter.
Vardanehn, lit. Our little joy.
Mir'as, Banal'ras is shadows, implying ras refers to light, Mir is mine. Lit. "my light".
Qunlat names:
Same process as elven, but trying to modify as less as possible, keeping in mind the Qunari are very rigid in their ways and can be very literal as well.
Anaan, victory
Asaarash, rivaini horsebreed used by the antaam.
Kaaras, navigator.
Asaara-kaaras, wind navigator, wind rider.
Saar, dangerous. Saar-asaara, dangerous wind. Saar-meraad, dangerous tide.
Sata-kasi, mauler.
Vattic-kos, vat is fire, tic is cold and kos refers to nature damage, all three words are in reference to damage done with a mage staff. So Vattic-kos could be elemental damage.
Shokra, shok is struggle or war, shokrakar is rebel.
Antivan names:
These were way easier as i’m Latina of Spanish and Italian descent which in this case feels a bit like cheating. I think any Spanish and Italian name could work, these are just some i like.
Vittoria/Victoria
Chiara
Alessandro/a
Stefan
Dante
Aria
Tevinter names:
I literally googled for Latin names for this one, and also checked previous Tevinter characters’ names. Some of this could also work for an Antivan Rook.
Aelius
Amadis
Bastian
Caelus
Camilla
Dena
Dante
Desideria
Ella
Enora
Favian
Fausto, Faustino, Faustus
Gaius
Gloria
Grazia
Klaudia
Laurena
Lavinia
Liberia
Merit/Mérita/Mérito
Remus
Salena
Sarina
Sidonia
Sollemnia
Tatius
Terentius
Tiberius
Urbano, Urbanus
Valentio
Varinia
Viatrix
Virgilio, Virgil
Vitus
Xandros
I’m leaving out the numerals like Primo, Segundo, Quintus, Octavio... check Cesars' names, that could work too. I think you could just search the scientific name of any fauna (hello House Pavus) or flora and pick whatever sounds nice too. Also we recently got a new Magister’s name in the Dragon Age: Vows & Vengeance trailer, Magister Andante. Y’know what “Andante” means? Walking. Magister Walking. Fear nothing and go wild with these names, seriously.
You could also check other cultures and native names, respectfully of course. Here are some guaraní and mapuche names i like, i didn’t modify these at all.
Kerana, guaraní “goddess of sleep”, or sleepy one.
Karai, guaraní, “respectable man”.
Luriel, guaraní, “lord of the wind”.
Amaru, guaraní, “rain”.
Anahí, guaraní, from a legend, the name of a young woman burned at the stake by the conquistadors, after which she is transformed into the flowering tree.
Newén, mapuche, "strength"
Nahuel, mapuche, “jaguar”
Ayelén, mapuche, laughing”.
Tahiel, mapuche, “hombre libre”
For Dwarven names, i am deeply sorry i haven't decided on a Dwarf Rook yet so i haven't done my dwarven research, but the same process applies: check the canon dwarf names we got so far, if the lore says anything about dwarven naming conventions, if they're a commoner or noble, if there are caste-specific names too, and so on. And if you want to name your dwarf Rook Bob, that's fine too! ( if DUNE can have Paul and Jessica, why couldn't we have a dwarf named Bob?? like i said, go wild, name freely, be happy)
I understand some people don't want to or aren't sure about naming their Rooks until we learn what the different canon surnames will be, and i totally get that, i felt the same way. But i couldn't resist until we got that info so i overdid it, particularly with my Tevinter-Nevarran mage whose name i picked clearly inspired by Cassandra's full name, only for me to end up calling her by the first of her five names that i kinda struggle to remember. So far we've only seen one canon surname, "Thorne", and since surnames are defined by factions, Thorne seems to be the Grey Wardens' canon surname. The elf Grey Warden champion seen in the recent high-level combat gameplay is named Esha Thorne.
I think maybe surnames should depend on what they're now calling lineage (elven, qunari, human, dwarf) rather than on factions, or they could have offered options, one per lineage and one per faction, and let us decide which one to keep. An elf named Thorne sounds a bit odd to me, even if they're a Grey Warden. Will any of my chosen names match the canon surnames? Probably not, but at least i had fun while naming them. My only GW for now is Favian and Favian Thorne doesn't sound bad.
Anyway, I hope this helps those who are a bit lost to find names that works for you and your Rooks, have fun!

Remaining new names in the official Investigations 2 Localisation - Cases 1-3
This is the 68th post in the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection Countdown: 13 days left until release!
Today's topic: the remaining new names in the official Investigations 2 localisation from cases 1-3!
Thanks to the release of the demo of the Investigations Collection and some very hard-working people we now know of all the remaining new names for the characters and cases in the official I2 localisation. Since there are so many names to discuss I'm going to divide this into two posts, one for the cases 1-3 and one for cases 4+5, because most of the names we already know of (that I discussed in previous countdown posts) are from the first two cases. First, the names of the characters:
Bastian Rook (for Ethan Rooke): His last name was already known and I've talked about how I don't like that it's just the name of the chess piece he's supposed to represent, I prefer the fan translation for that one, it's a little bit less on the nose (same with "Knight" and "Knightley"). His first name sounds similar to bastion, a fortified building, which fits what the rook is and Rooke's job as a bodyguard protecting his "king". His first name in the fan translation has a similar connotation meaning "safe and strong". Between those two I don't really have a preference, they're both good choices for his first name.
Samson Tangaroa (for Jeffrey Masters): A very drastic change! His official name has a more elaborate meaning with both parts referencing mythical figures: Samson to the judge in the bible who lost his superhuman strength and was subsequently imprisoned, fitting Masters' own imprisonment, and Tangaroa to a Māori god of the sea, fitting the nautical theme of his chocolate desserts in the contest. In contrast, his fan translated name is a play on "master chef" (even going as far as giving him the nickname "Master Jeff") and not much more. Purely from the meaning his official name is obviously better but I prefer the sound of his fan translated one. It sounds more like a complete name instead of two that just got stuck together, though that might change once I read his official name in context a few times.
Judy Bound (for Katherine Hall): In this case the name puns are about equal, the official localisation goes for "duty bound" referencing her loyalty to Masters whereas the fan translation goes for "catering hall" (even more so with her nickname "Kate") keeping the mansion reference from her Japanese name and the chef theme with Masters. However, I vastly prefer her fan translated name because it's so much more elegant! Her present design doesn't fit "Judy" at all but it perfectly fits "Katherine", her past self might fit but it also fits "Kate" perfectly, and I love the contrast between the two and how much of her personality gets conveyed through it. I hope her official full name is "Judith" or something similar to get a little bit of the same sentiment across.
Carmelo Gusto (for Dane Gustavia): For Gustavia's name the change isn't as drastic but still significant. His official first name is a shortened version of "caramello" which is Italian and translates to caramel referencing his candy making. "Gusto" comes from Latin "gustus" which translates to taste, very fitting considering his business and his taste issues, and doing something "with gusto" means doing it with a lot of passion which is exactly what Gustavia has for his goal of becoming the greatest pastry chef alive. His fan translated name has his last name going for the same association with taste, "Gustavia" sounds similar to "gustatory" which comes from the same Latin source. "Dane" is a reference to "danish (pastry)", the English name for a type of pastry from Denmark keeping to his pastry chef theme. I also like the interpretation of his name referencing Gustavus Swift who apparently invented the first refrigerated railroad car which is wonderfully hilarious considering what Gustavia does in the case. I don't really mind his official name, it's a good choice, but I slightly prefer the fancier sound of "Gustavia" from the fan translation.
Delicia Scone (for Delicia Scones): Not much to talk about with this one, the names are almost the same and just use her Japanese name without changing much (referencing "delicious scone" like the British quick bread). I don't think the change from "Scones" to "Scone" makes any difference and I like that both the official localisation and the fan translation chose "Delicia" as her first name, it fits her well.
[Spoilers for Investigations 2 in the next two name entries]
Artie Frost (for Isaac Dover): The meaning of his official name is pretty obvious, "Artie" referencing his job and talent as an artist and "Frost" referencing his work with ice and his corpse being frozen. His fan translated name focuses more on the "ice" part with "Isaac Dover" being a play on "iced over" which is, again, the type of dessert he uses in the contest (sherbet) and how his corpse was hidden. I hate to repeat myself but yet again I slightly prefer his fan translated name because it sounds more serious and mature and not like a nickname. (Artie? Couldn't they at least have gone for "Artus" or something and have Delicia use "Arty" as a nickname?)
Paul Halique (for Pierre Hoquet): With this name they couldn't change around too much because the initials still had to be "PH" for the signet ring to make sense. The official localisation just used an alternate spelling of his Japanese name (Paul Holic) while the name in the fan translation doesn't have any meaning associated with it that makes sense in the game's context apart from just sounding nice. In that sense the official localisation easily wins with this one.
And now for the case names (my discussion for the new name of the first case is here):
The Captive Turnabout (for The Imprisoned Turnabout): Nothing to complain about here, "captive" and "imprisoned" mean almost the same thing. They both sound great as well, I don't prefer one over the other.
Turnabout Legacy (for The Inherited Turnabout): Wow, that official name is amazing! I love the fan translated name, don't get me wrong, and it fits but the official one has such a weight to it - Legacy - you really feel how significant this case is, to Miles in particular but also to the series as a whole. Its impact cannot be overstated and the official name absolutely does it justice. Perfect choice for one of the best cases in the entire series!

aai2 names more or less confirmed and i have Thoughts on them so. Here. Spoilers i think
eddie fender - i mean me personally i wouldnt name a supporting character a name u would expect from a background character who happens to be a defence attorney but its also like not that bad like. it looks like a name that could exist probably.
verity gavèlle - 10/10 gorgeos no further comments
eustace winner - that is a name he would be called.
simeon saint - i think this is peak (fully biased) just bc it isnt drastically different + ur supposed to think he's just Some Guy who didn't do anything wrong in that case.
di-jun wang - pretty much the same as fanmade one so. yeah. idk i dont have any thoughts on this guy in general
tabby lloyd - massive win actually i really like this. like that is a really cute name i think.
bronco knight - chat this is my eustace winner. im not fucking calling him that.
bastian rook - close enough welcome back sebastian.
rocco carcerato - major improvement i would say
fifi laguarde - she looks more like a fifi than a patricia to me at least. like maybe laguarde is too obvious however i dont care here.
bodhidharma kanis - the kanis/dog part is obvious however i would have no idea what the rest of it meant without having someone on twitter explain why its peak.
samson tangaroa - same as above like i would also not have any idea if there was a joke or reference here. however there is and i think it works really well.
judy bound - i think it grew on me a bit but at the same time i do not like it. maybe if it was a nickname like i can see her as a judith.
paul halique - literally just the same as it was originally no comment
artie frost - i mean. the foreshadowing is good. i think artie should've been a nickname instead tho tbh.
carmelo gusto - i think gustavia sounded better as a name but i think they're about the same to me. It ok
delicia scone - aai2 fan translation sole survivor. i mean ik why she's called that in both of them i just think its funny
florence niedler - they cooked a bit too hard on a minor character i think. this isnt a complaint i really like it
hilda hertz - she also looks like a hilda more than a bonnie i can respect this. also hertz is funny.
rosie ringer - it is one half of a joke + the better half i think
excelsius winner - that is also a name he would be called i think.
shaun fenn - fenn/marsh connection was more obvious to me actually. idm it tho he looks like a shaun.
alf aldown - close enough welcome back deid mann. that is a pun first and a name second i think.

the thing really stopping me from playing rook dottie is that 'dottie' is already a nickname. her having another nickname feels redundant. also thorne will just make me think of bastian the whole time
#not peach#da -#she's one of those ocs w/o a name (or that doesn't give one) so dottie is just what my warden started calling her for convenience#dottie/dots/freckles/pickles (long story) are all things she 'goes by' but mostly bc ppl need a way to refer to her#not really bc she has much attachment to those names.#the idea of her getting assigned a random last name is kind of hilarious to me tho ngl.#maybe everyone started feeling bad just calling her warden dot or w/e#every time they'd call for her she'd look at them with the saddest eyes in the whole world.#but really she just looks like that#resting sad face#ok maybe i really want 2 play her actually now. she's so funny.#i do like the crow i made tho. i'll play her too probably. i'll see what i think of the warrior gameplay. lol#ty for reading me talking myself into this

WHG 17 - The Initial Reaping
It’s time! In an unprecedented stroke of luck, our current total equals 36 characters, exactly enough for a Hunger Games round with three tributes per district! That means there’s not a lot of wiggle room, though, so submissions are closed, and it’s more important than ever that if any amends need to be made, they need to be made while there’s still time!
My system grows ever more haphazard, so please, if I’ve forgotten a character, misspelled a name or tag, tagged the wrong blog, mixed up some pronouns, or put someone in the wrong district, etc., let me know! I’ll be happy to fix it. This will also function as the tag list for all the WHG days’ events, so especially let me know if there’s anything I can improve about the tags!
You can also let me know if you’d like to be invited to the WHG Discord for even more notifications and another way to collaborate with other writers!
And now, without any further adieu--er, ado...Let’s say hello to the characters we’ll be saying goodbye to all too soon!

In an attempt to forestall The Gibbering here's the somewhat more chill crossover with Emperor Mage: Full and complete spoilers for all of Rooks and Ruin from here on:
So the basic premise is that instead of the Tortallans going to Carthak everyone heads to Gloamingard because Ryx has volunteered to mediate. And they ask Daine to come because people are concerned she might be some flavor if misplaced atheling.
The Tortallans are super not happy about this because everything about Eruvia is carefully designed to give Tortallan's the heebie-jeebies, Gloamingard, specifically, is kinda creepy, they don't trust the Vaskandandrans with Daine and they worry that the country run by super-powered semi-immortal super-mages are a little too likely to be on Ozorne's side.
Ozorne is totally on board with this plan because he also thinks they're more likely to put up with his nonsense, and he wants a look at the Black Tower, and also figures that a place as spooky as Gloamingard will be a perfect venue for his actual plan of "oh, no, those negotiations breaking down was everyone else's fault for sure".
Ryx does know that Ozorne's going to try to poke around the tower, he's not subtle, but she just moves the doors whenever he starts scampering around places he shouldn't so its fine. Severin is systematically having all the birds in Morgrain avoid him when he is misbehaving and return when he's being cooperative. Ryx is going to tell him off for it, but so far only Daine has caught him at it.
Well, the arrive, and it turns out that the Tortallan Delegation is having a great time. Ryx is super helpful and a great mediator. Daine is clearly not at atheling, but the Mockingbird Lord is giving her advice anyway because it turns out he's a nice guy who mostly wants to canoodle with Ryx. Ashe and Alanna are practicing with swords together, Bastian and Numair are discussing weird magic in exhaustive detail. The castle is comfy even if the bone decor is a bit much. Everyone's having a nice time.
Daine is a bit stressed because there are a lot of bones and she's suddenly bringing things to life, but she's managing.
I also feel like Varice and Ryx would get on like a house on fire, but in a nice way with cake.
Meanwhile Emperor Ozorne is having the worst time of his life. He cannot find his way around this awful castle, he swears the doors are moving but no one else seems to have this problem, he's been badged, tricked, cornered and otherwise railroaded into no less than five totally productive discussions which are going to result in a genuinely good trade agreement between Carthak and Tortall, which was not the point of the exercise at all. He's been failing to evict Ryx's weird little chimera from his bedroom for three nights and its lurking about commenting on his sleeping habits. Numair still won't talk to him for reasons he cannot fathom, but the Mockingbird Lord asked him if he was doing okay in a totally sympathetic voice and assassinating a whole Witch Lord is going to be so difficult. There are no birds anywhere and he hates it... except this owl, what a pretty owl...
The Lady of Owls is of course, here because she's definitely not going to let The Graveyard Hag fuck around in her domain. Only she gets to fuck around here. So this is all happening on a background of escalating Trickster God on Trickster God violence.
But the Lady of Owls is also the incarnation of Discord, so she's definitely going to make time to show up at dinner and start asking Numair and Ozorne very invasive questions about their relationshiop and/or sex life very loudly. Ozorne is rapidly realizing that That Was Not An Owl and they're both at opposite ends of the table trying to remember spells for sinking into the floor and disappearing.
Woke up with a desire for a Rooks and Ruin AU for Emperor Mage... possibly 2. We'll see how Ivory Tomb ends, but possibly I want both a real AU with the Aethlings/Falcons thing and also a one-shot of the whole plot of Emperor Mage being foiled by Ryxander as the very annoyed third party mediator:
"No, Your Imperial Highness, We Just Don't Do That Here."

14, 17, 24 and 32?
Thank you so much! <3
14. What fictional character would you want to be siblings with?
Maybe Martha Jones or Bill Potts from Doctor Who or all the boys from The Last Hours
17. If you could adopt any fictional character, who would it be?
The younger Blackthorn Children and Kit Rook from The Dark Artifices or Merry and Pippin from The Lord of the Rings or Bastian from Michael Ende's The Neverending Story
24. If you could erase any fictional character's memory, who would it be?
Hm... I don't think I would do that at all.
If I had to... Erik Lensherr from x-men perhaps
32. If you could be the love interest of any fictional world, which would it be, and who would you choose?
Ohh well... I have a huge crush on River Song from Doctor Who so maybe her. Or Prince Caspian from Narnia 👀
This was way harder than I thought it would be 😅

Rook is blond and Blue is...well, Blue, would their kid look more like the Disney blue fairy? Hm.....no, I won’t draw any kids, that might be crossing a line.
*half mindedly sketches kids*
Ok, well I’m not gonna name them.
*names them the minute their eyes meet mine*
.....Damnit.
Introducing Bastian, Vega, and Atalanta, though you can simply refer to them by their nicknames, Bast, Vey, and Atty. This is all you gotta know about their personalities: Bast got all the glamour genes and is low key an epic dnd nerd. Vey got all the bad-assery and impulsiveness. And Atty got all the uwu’s and will probably ask for your soul in the sweetest possible way.
You can ask questions for or about them if you want, but they’re really just crack ocs put together for the sake of entertainment. Hope y’all enjoy nonetheless!
#twisted wonderland oc#my art#blue x rook#honestly#atty looks like half of the blond ocs i know of 😂#are ya’ll secretlt blue and rook’s kids from the future?#jking
