Well, Bart/Cissie and JayRose were originally gonna be endgame ships in this Earth, but I rediscovered my love for Bartrose, so now that's happening, Jay is with Artemis of Bana Mighdall, and Cissie is... well, I guess she's staying single, for now. I know Cissiecasse is a popular ship, but I'm too far deep into Cassie/Kon to break them up.

playing nurse
Bart Allen. Rose Wilson. Explosions. Injuries. Eyelashes. 1013 words. (ao3.)
An explosion throws Ravager off her feet.
Rose hits the ground, still alive but without the air in her lungs or the swords in her hands. She can only lie there, unmoving even though her heart keeps beating. Her instinct tells her to get up, but she can’t — the thoughts in her head that tell her to move aren’t reaching her body.
On the ground Rose looks forward and sees her weapons just out of reach, the battle around her is still going on. Wonder Girl is flying next to Solstice, both enveloped in a ball of light. Kid Flash and Superboy are both blurs, Raven is a shadow, while Red Robin and Beast Boy maneuver the area with their own kind of grace.
Rose tries to find the strength to take her blade, but for the life of her she can’t. She can’t even move her little finger. She’s already slipping.
The explosion still echoes through her mind — the flash of light, the shards of debris moving so fast that it pierces her uniform and her flesh, then the high-pitched ringing still resonating in her ears.
The last thing Rose hears is the sound of her teammates screaming Ravager’s name.
Rose Wilson survived, but the aching in her body makes her feel like she did anything but.
Her consciousness comes and goes. Everytime she musters the strength to open her eye she is greeted by something new. The first time she sees the walls of the T-Jet and hears the hum of the engines. The second time she feels the tension of the bandages around her forehead, shoulders, and left leg. The third time, she sees her caretaker removing debris from her skin and cleaning her wounds. And the fourth, she’s finally able to hear the conversation of her teammates.
The mission went well, even with the explosion that knocked her onto her ass. Rose can’t even remember what they were even fighting for, or even how the blast happened, just that the Titans had been called and she had been standing in the wrong place at the wrong time.
At a certain point, every mission begins to feel the same.
Breathing causes her chest to ache. Even with the knock-off super-soldier serum in her veins, she’ll still need time to heal.
As Wonder Girl and Red Robin discuss the ups and downs of the mission — thankfully not dragging Ravager for getting caught in a blast — Rose hears footsteps walking towards the back of the T-Jet.
Her eye is barely open as she watches Bart Allen approach her. His cowl has been pulled off his eyes and his hair mussed. He appears to be worried, perhaps for her.
“Doctor Bart is in the house,” the Speedster greets in a playful tone. He wipes the concerned look off his face and gives her a grin.
Under normal circumstances Rose would say something brassy, defensive, or just plain rude if she’s feeling like it. Whatever it takes to keep her face on.
But at the moment all she can muster is a hum. She’s always thought that Bart was too kind for his own good, but now as she lies in a stretcher, too weak to even lift up her own head, Rose swears that she could marry the guy.
“There she is,” Bart says as their gazes meet for a brief second.
Gently, she feels him slipping his hand between her head and her pillow. He slowly raises her up, and with his other hand he is holding a water bottle.
“Could I buy you a drink?”
Rose manages a half-smile.
Bart cradles her head and holds the bottle to her lips, slowly letting her consume what she can. It’s only now when she realizes that her throat is absolutely parched.
The noise of her teammates talking in the T-Jet gets just a bit louder. Kiran adds her two cents on the outcome of the battle and Raven sounds like she’s supporting her — perhaps the two got along more than Rose thought. Kon speaks in a more jovial tone, and a part of Rose wonders if he’ll say something along the lines of — “Aside from Ravager getting knocked the fuck out, I think everything went okay.”
Bart continues to tend to her and Rose realizes just how warm he is. She feels like she can stay here forever, held in his arms like he’s a blanket on a cold night.
When he finishes giving her water, she notices the focused look on his pretty face as he rests her head on the pillow. Her gaze goes to his eyelashes and she can’t help but see how long they are, or how they perfectly frame his eyes, which look almost hazel in this light. Has she really never noticed before?
“You’ll live to see another day, Rose,” Bart tells her in a friendly voice. For a guy who can run and talk at a million miles an hour, he’s surprisingly good at keeping her alive.
Rose breathes slowly and methodically as Bart checks on her wound dressings, adjusting the gauze on her leg and on her forearm. When she feels his palm graze hers, the remnants of her strength returns and something inside her compels her to tighten her fingers around his hand.
She closes her eye and Rose feels Bart going absolutely still, a rarity for him. She imagines that his mind is running even faster than it usually does, and to that she can’t help but find the thought amusing.
“Shit,” Bart says, surprised. At least his tone remains playful. “You sure you’re not delirious?”
If she could manage a laugh then she would, but instead she exhales slowly and lets herself nod off to sleep again. The sound of the T-Jet’s engines begin to feel soothing. She doesn’t know how long she’s holding his hand, but a part of her is compelled to do it for as long as she can.
The last thought on Rose’s mind before she falls asleep is whether she’ll get to see Bart playing nurse again.

Rose: "I think we should breed and see what our offspring think" has quickly become my favorite way to respond to someone disagreeing with me.
Bart: I disagree.
Rose: You know what has to happen now.
Conner: I am begging you two to get a room.

I've seen some people complain about the grimdark aesthetic of the early 2000's so I was guessing it would have been that
I was just wondering if his personality somehow made him more susceptible to it. Regardless of canonicity, the traits that make people see him as neurodivergent are there. And there's nothing stopping someone from seeing those as defects or flaws to be fixed
Do you think Bart's neurodivergence was the main reason he was treated like THAT by didio and geoff or do you know of any other more important factors?
In Didio's case he simply did not like ANY of the legacy characters, period, particularly if they were ever shown 'growing up' or becoming their own heroes because then it meant that they were taking the spotlight away from their mentors which he loved more than anything. Pushing Bart to being Kid Flash was likely a step to curb him from being too individualized which might have made him more popular, and more notable than Barry.
This is all very perplexing as Didio pushed exceedingly hard to get Bart as The Flash against the words of warning from Geoff Johns and Mark Waid. While Didio eventually did apologize to Waid for what he had done to Bart at the end of FMA the long standing damage had already been done, and right from Waid's mouth - Bart had died a long, long time ago.
It's possible that Didio also pushed Bart to be The Flash as a means to uplift Barry all along and to tether him more with Barry but this is speculation. The point is, Didio disliked legacy characters not being legacy characters but also was a creative director and he still had a job to do.
For some fun look up his plans for Kon becoming Nightwing after killing Dick Grayson off, but was held up at an airport by an enraged fan.
Geoff has more fondness for Bart as a legacy of Barry and while he had him act like that in Teen Titans Bart was still somewhat recognizable as Bart albiet he was changed to fit the new grimdark edgy narrative of comics post-2003. EVERYONE in TTv3 suffered as a whole (Rose, Cassie, Kon, Tim, Eddie etc etc etc).
I highly doubt it was because of Bart's neurodivergence, which sadly is not canon even though Mark Waid has said he embraces it, that triggered Bart's downfall in writing between Geoff and Didio.
However, we are still learning more things as time passes since Didio was fired from DC!

Who is the big spoon/little spoon?
Switches on the daily depending who’s feeling more vulnerable and who’s feeling more protective. Honestly, Bart loves being the little spoon because it makes him feel safe but he also loves being the big spoon because he loves holding Rose.
What is their favorite non-sexual activity?
They both have their own strengths in the kitchen but they love to cook together. This leads to Bart nearly setting the house on fire while starting the grill so Rose can make steaks and Rose mixing the sugar and flour measurements for the banana bread Bart was baking and them ending up with a strange, but good, dessert that sparkled when you spread butter on it (based on true stories). However, they make it work and they both enjoy the adventure and the laughs they get out of their mishaps.
Who uses all the hot water in the morning?
Rose never stood a chance. Bart’s alarm may go off after hers but he normally wakes up the moment she sits up in bed and is in the shower before she can even blink. Jokes on him, she prefers to take her showers at night anyways.
What they order from take out?
These two live on takeout when they don’t have time to cook (which happens more often than they’d like). Their favorite place is an incredibly cheap Chinese food place that delivers. The delivery crew knows them well and always know they’ll be in for some heavy lifting when their names come up. Bart eats a lot so they order a lot.
What is the most trivial thing they fight over?
Rose’s precog ruins their tv shows for them all the time and Rose has decided if she gets spoilers so does Bart. Bart was most upset when he found out Jon Snow was Daenerys’s nephew before they even started that season. He didn’t talk to her for three whole days after she told him.
Who does most of the cleaning?
Neither of them are good at cleaning but eventually the house does get to the point that Bart can’t stand it and he’ll clean it all in less than an hour. Super speed helps a lot.
What has a season pass in their DVR?
Bart loves scifi shows like Star Trek and Kill Joys. Rose doesn’t watch tv much but she does like Trevor Noah and Stephen Colbert.
Who controls the netflix queue?
Tim does considering they stole his password for it.
Who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working?
Rose, Bart hardly ever feels cold so he doesn’t notice.
Who leaves their stuff around?
Both of them. They’re not neat people.
Who remembers to buy the milk?
Rose, Bart is a little too scatterbrained.
Who remembers anniversaries?
Rose barely wanted to actually get married because of the hassle and a fear of happiness, she’s bad at remembering “normal” dates like that because she doesn’t feel like counting how many days until it all gets ripped away from her.

bathed in the light of the greenhouse
Rose Wilson. Bart Allen. Watercolor Paintings. Gardening. Pots of White Flowers. 1184 words. (ao3.)
For the last few months, Bart Allen had been tending to the greenhouse in Titans Compound.
The place had started as a home for all of Kory’s flowers, some from this planet and some not. But when the Compound was left in the hands of the next generation, Bart found it in himself to care for the plants. He was surprisingly diligent about watering every flower or tracking every berry as it grew. Perhaps someone in his position — a person capable of breaking the sound barrier in a single step — could see the beauty in things that needed time to grow. It was certainly not the strangest way to teach a person the concept of patience.
Also for the last few months, Rose Wilson had been taking up art as a hobby.
While she was lightyears away from having her own wing in the Louvre, Rose found comfort in watercolors and gouache. It started with her doodling in her notebooks in the midst of Titan meetings, then blossomed into sketchbook paintings and charcoal drawings. She freed herself from the concept that her art had to be “perfect” or “proper,” allowing herself to smile every time she broke out her brushes and half-pan set. What mattered to her was never the color remaining inside the lines, but if what she created made her feel something.
And somehow, the greenhouse became Rose’s favorite place to paint.
In the pages of her sketchbook were countless interpretations of peonies, lilies, and plants she couldn’t even name. She often sat on an upside-down bucket as she sketched, inked, and painted her pieces, utilizing brush pens and her trusty watercolor kit to get the job.
And more often than not, Rose wasn’t alone as she worked.
Bart would often tend to the plants as Rose painted them. Unsurprisingly, the team’s resident motor-mouth chatted her ear off as she tried to apply a softer shade of cyan to the petals of a forget-me-not. He spoke about whatever was on his mind — college applications, family adventures, or that time Kon entered a Superboy Look-Alike Contest and lost.
Rose was only half-listening as Bart watered a bush that was meant to bare strawberries. For a reason he didn’t know, the poor plant was struggling to keep up with its siblings.
As Rose let her painting dry, she looked up and noted how rare it was to see Bart to be so calm about something. He was standing on a step ladder as he watered the hanging planter, talking to the plants they were puppies that just needed a little pep talk to stand on two feet.
Rose looked forward and took in how Bart looked when tending to the plants. As per usual, his hair was a mess of reddish-brown curls, the strands of which hung gently on his forehead and framed his bright eyes. Even with Bart approaching the end of teenhood, he still looked as boyish and pretty as ever — the only difference seemed to be that he was getting taller.
Speaking of which, Rose wondered just when this little “growth spurt” of his was going to end. The concept of Bart potentially being tall didn’t sit well for her for petty reasons. The part of her that loved toying with him was unprepared for the possibility that he could tower over her in the future. Another part of her also hated being reminded that she wasn’t that tall in the first place and could very likely remain where she was for the rest of her life.
Fortunately, Rose managed to distract herself from the reality of her height by looking at her now dried watercolor painting. Grabbing a black marker from her pencil case, she carefully outlined her creation to give it a cleaner look, which was admittedly one of her favorite parts of the process. There was just something so satisfying about putting the final touches on a piece that she absolutely reveled in.
Once her painting of a forget-me-not was done, Rose gave it a final look before smiling and turning the page in her sketchbook. She then looked around for the next thing to draw.
By now, Bart had finished watering the strawberries and had moved onto other things. Rose saw him picking a pot full of flowers, then walking towards her end of the greenhouse. He was only a few steps away from her when she realized that he was holding a bundle of white roses, fresh and in bloom.
Rose raised an eyebrow at him, causing Bart to do the same. It only took a quick glance at the flowers in his grasp for him to realize what she was reacting to. Clearly, the situation was unintentional, but that didn’t make it any less… serendipitous.
Bart smiled and his pretty eyes practically lit up. “Fitting, isn’t it?”
Rose’s mouth remained in a flat line as she crooked her head to the side. “That’s one way to put it.”
The irony was that Rose herself wasn’t too fond of her namesake flower, even the ones that reminded her of the shade of her hair. To be frank, her favorite flowers were actually lilies.
While Bart continued to beam and savor the moment, Rose got a better look at the scene in front of her — Bart Allen standing in a greenhouse, holding a pot of white flowers, all while dirt clung to his hands, face, clothes, and even the curls of his hair. For a reason Rose couldn’t understand he seemed to be on cloud nine, whether it be because he was in his happy place or the humor of the scenario had yet to wear off.
Yet as Rose looked at him, she raised her left hand and stuck out her index and middle finger.
Bart's smile wore off and was replaced with a look of mild confusion “Whatcha’ doin’, Rose?”
Rose kept her hand up and used the l-shape of her fingers to frame the sight in front of her. More and more she was able to imagine the image of Bart Allen holding a flower pot being immortalized in her sketchbook.
“Could you stay there for a second?” asked Rose. She grabbed a pencil from her case and held it over a fresh page in her book.
Bart looked amused and decided to play along. A more subdued grin came onto his face as he straightened his back. If he was getting painted like one of Rose’s french girls, then he hoped that she could get his good side.
“Okay, just like this?”
Rose nodded and held up her book. “Yeah, just like that.”
She spent a moment taking in the sight of her teammate’s hair, eyes, and pointed jawline. Under normal circumstances, Rose would make a sarcastic quip or crass dig about his boyish looks, but seeing him now bathed in the light of the greenhouse, she was compelled to appreciate the moment as is.
As Rose began sketching Bart Allen holding a pot of white flowers, she was happy to have a reason to be around him for just a bit longer.
