Wait, wait wait that one scene in cinderella3
When Prince charming jumped out the window to go save Cinderella when his father told him he wasn’t allowed to go down the stairs, so he jumped out of the window
But imagine it it’s with flash and wonder woman and Superman
Wonder, woman : flash I am not gonna let you rescue that villain. I forbid you to go down these stairs,
Flash looking at wonder, woman, and Superman and the stairs and looked at the window : mm you know when the woman I never really understood why people jumped out the windows the same people they love, but I see now and now I understand why
Wonder, woman and Superman : wait what ?
(Flash jumps out the window )
Wonder, woman and Superman : Barry !
Tumblr media
I adore the fact that JLA n Rouges are trying their best to keep these two apparat (and failing to do so)
"Barry you know better than to date a villain"
"What about Batman and Catwoman?"
"...I said you know better not that he knows better."
Captain Cold learns that he agrees with any supes and goes absolutely 90 degrees in the other way, suddenly the biggest Boomerflash supporter. It lasts half of the week.
Golden glider talking to Wonder Woman like they're besties while actively being against Harley because, just like her brother, she thinks she took her place and is bitter.
Boomer doesn't want them to think that, especially since he didn't talk to them only because he forgot that he could finally.
Trickster Jr. And Wally have beef for no reason, Axel just says he's not funny, Wally rants about how fucking annoying the villain is or stays completely silent.
Weather Wizard says one time "just kiss already" after they fight near him and the scream they scrum made speedy run to them in fear. Mark doesn't care.
August who back stabbed the Rouges, coming back onto their good side by also being not a fan of Suicide Squad. Floyd said one snarky thing about anyone close to him, and he got into a mood.
"That's why all criminals should die" YOU'RE A MURDERER!! U KILLED PEOPLE!!!
Can you see who's my fave characters? Probably yeah.
Usually Flash wouldn't even let them stop him, especially since his lover was in danger, but Wonder Woman wasn't typically one to be out of her mind like today. "What do you mean by I shouldn't help him?!" he couldn't help and raised his voice, bitterness already growing in his chest. "Diana, I need you to move." "Barry, you need to understand - he's Wallers. Not only will that make problems for us, if she'll learn that you will save him, she'll throw him in more dangerous situations. It's better for both of you if you'll stay put." her tone sounded slightly concerned, her eyes jumping from him to other JLA members for support. "You're not even sure if he's not using your feelings here for a lift or something alike-" "He's bleeding out. I am wasting my important time and his blood is wasting on the floor because you believe that Floyd Lawton- Not even Digger, sent me a message by Hack because they needed a lift. Deadshot, the same man that would rather kill himself than let any supe help." his work tone was slowly sneaking it's way into his speech, not being able to stop it. "Wonder Woman, on everything you love, you'll move out of my way." A quick lip bite was all hesitation he got from her, before she stood in front of him with all her might, Superman slightly more undecided, but also standing next to her. "Flash, as a JLA member you know better. I will not let you take one more step down these stairs." her tone was clearly informing him of the truth of this statement. "You are forbidden from saving this rogue." Within seconds Barry relaxed, stretching his hands above his head, confusing people around them, above few who already shot him amused stares. Hal even showing a thumb up, changing it into some form of scratching his chin to remain unnoticed. "You're right- I won't take a step down these stairs." Barry finally said, his voice having that "costumer service polite" in it, making Wonder Woman just more suspicious. "It must be love pushing me to do stupid things." "Why do you say it like that-" The only other sound that accompanied his flight out of the window next to him was Jordan's loud laughter, which he couldn't hold in any longer. It wasn't the first or last time he was falling from surprising heights, so with ease he landed as trained and ran trough the city towards his home.
Get it, because Digger is his home-
No art today bc amma also write the Boomerflash hcs and hopefully end the Boomer centric ones! <3 Anywho, please ask about other rouges n their relationships with Boomer/Flash/their relationship/ JUST ANYTHING
(I will continue to baby Axel, he done nothing wrong ever [lie])

I desperately need a fic with Barry and Rafe
this duo in s3 got me weak af
mdni¡
when you were dragged to this party at tannyhill by sarah cameron, you never would’ve thought that by the end of the night you’d end up being fucked by the kook king, rafe cameron, and his best friend, a drug dealer. you felt so guilty while your best friend’s brother gripped onto your neck from behind as he pounded into you, your intoxicated state heightening your senses. this could’ve all easily been prevented. you could’ve never walked in on barry and rafe finishing up the last of barry’s inventory. you could’ve said no when they pressured you into taking shots with them. and you could’ve moved the wandering hands that moved up your dress before you became fully unclothed, weak under the rough touch of the two men. you’re on top of rafe’s bed on your hands and knees and he’s sloppily thrusting his hips from behind you, barry standing in front of you. his hands cup your face as you suck his dick. “look how good she takes it, like a fuckin’ angel.” he chuckles and rafe joins in. he leans down to your ear. “knew it all along. ever since my little sister first brought you over. knew you were a slut.” their words cause you to let out a lewd moan onto barry, making him twitch in your mouth. you arch your back against rafe. you can feel them both deep inside of you, and it sends you over the edge. with a twitch, you release and your body goes limp. a pair of strong hands flip you over so you’re laying on your back. “where do you want it?” rafe rasps as the two figures hover over you. your hands move up to your tits, grabbing them and looking in between the men with a pleading stare. “ah- use your words, baby.” he taunts you. “want you to cum on my tits.” the glisten in your eye still present. “shit, of course she does” barry lets out another low chuckle. they move to position themselves above your chest and you use your hands to guide their cocks exactly where you want them. they groan in unison as their cum mixes together in a sloppy mess on your chest. “oh, fuck” rafe’s body jerks as you take him in your mouth, swallowing his heavy load. the sight of you has them smirking at each other. they get up, leaving you a panting mess on the bed. your hair tousled, makeup smeared, and swollen lips left you in a fucked out state as you slipped on your dress, grabbed your heels, and stumbled your way down the stairs. after hours of searching, a worried sarah finally finds you sitting at the bottom of the steps. your best friend is so worried about you, she has no idea her brother was balls deep in you just a couple minutes ago. worst part is, you don’t even regret it.

My only problem with Sabrina is that her, Barry and their relationship are being shoved down my throat but she might have felt like she had to ask Taylor if she could do that because she’s employed by her? Her friends can do whatever the fuck they want and she can’t stop them, but Sabrina might have felt like Taylor would be less friendly in the future if she didn’t ask?
ehhhh. It’s giving tiny dick and no fans of her own energy to me. Like okay, let’s say she asked because she was worried she wouldn’t be asked to open again in the future. Fair. Why did she need to tell the class, given Taylor clearly said that it’s cool? I’ll tell you why: she wanted to make sure Swifties keep streaming her shit because it’s mid af and she has no organic fans lol.

ok, but the mental image of Dr. Barry explaining to Dr. Buckler that his besties are anonymous penpals and a sentient talking mouse is hilarious af.
I believe Dr. Buckler would worry that all of the above were actually some kind of nefarious plan being carried out by a certain necromancer.... ...he wouldn't even be that out of line, unfortunately.

Jumped - JJ Maybank
Request: can you do one where JJ is walking with the reader and they both get jumped by Barry?
Request: i love your writing so much! could you do a jj x reader using “if you touch a hair on her head i swear on my life...”
A/N: Mentions violence/fighting/guns/police
Outer Banks Masterlist
☾ ☾ ☾ ☽ ☽ ☽
“You know I hate walking this way JJ,” you squeezed his hand as the two of you walked the back road toward your house. It was a shortcut from the boneyard to your house but you hated walking it in the dark because there were no street lights and there were woods on both sides. It was practically midnight and JJ had insisted on taking the short cut because it was starting to rain and he wanted to get back to your house before the rain started coming down more.
“We’re almost home, it’s no big deal.” JJ insisted, pulling you along. He was walking on the outside, keeping himself between you and the road. You had your phone in your other hand, using the torch to see as you walked.
“I just-” you trailed off when you heard a noise in the distance, frowning and glancing over your shoulder. You flashed the light that way and it caught the reflection of lights in the distance. “There’s a car JJ.”
“It’s fine.”
“We should go in the woods or something.”
“It’s just a car babe, it’s no big deal.” JJ replied, continuing on.
You squeezed his hand even tighter as the high beams flashed and then the car rolled to a stop a little ahead of you. “JJ,” you whispered. You turned the flashlight off on your phone, The only light shining on you coming from the red brake lights of the stranger’s car. You held the emergency button on your phone and then released it, hoping that you had cell service in this block of woods.
“It’s okay.” He promised though it sounded half-hearted.
The car door opened and someone climbed out. You wanted to run but JJ stood still, trying to appear unbothered by the guy walking toward the two of you in the dark. JJ pushed you a behind him slightly, releasing your hand as he did.
“Hey! What’re you kids doing out here so late at night?” The stranger called and you recognized Barry’s voice instantly. “You need a ride?”
“We’re fine man.” JJ backed you up.
“I don’t know man...if it was me, I wouldn’t be bringing my girl out here at night, you don’t know what could happen to her.” He said, coming closer still.
“If you touch a hair on her head I swear on my life-”
“Whatcha gonna do huh?” Barry taunted, getting right up in JJ’s face, “tell me, I wanna know.”
JJ shoved Barry away from him, knocking him back a step and setting him off. Barry lunged for your boyfriend, tackling him to the ground and punching him in the face. You stumbled back, catching your foot on the gravel road and falling down the short embankment, landing on your back. Barry got off of JJ, kicking him once in the stomach and walking down the embankment toward you.
You could tell from the fall, and the pain in your ankle, that it was twisted but you still tried to get up, shouting for JJ when Barry grabbed your leg and dragged you toward him, climbing over you. You tried to push him off of you but he was heavier and stronger than you.
“Don’t worry baby, you’ll feel so good.”
Before he could do anything, he was thrown off you, tackled to the ground by JJ. “Go!” He shouted as slammed Barry’s head against the ground.
“What? No!”
“I’m not arguing with you!” JJ snapped, get the hell out of here.
Barry started to get the upper hand again and JJ turned his attention back to him, resuming fighting. You climbed out the embankment on your twisted ankle and ran to Barry’s car, climbing in the driver’s side and popping the glove compartment. You heard the sound of gravel crunching and looked back as you climbed out, realizing that JJ was climbing back onto the road. Barry ran up the embankment behind him, pushing him to the ground as they started fighting again. He grabbed a fistful of JJ’s hair and pressed his face to the gravel.
You did what you’d watched JJ do just a week prior, firing a warning shot into the air, before turning the gun on Barry. “Get off him. I will blow your fucking head off.” You tried to sound confident but you knew your voice was shaky and you were crying.
“Hey, whoa, honey...calm down baby.”
“Don’t call me baby.”
From the corner of your eye you could see JJ roll away from Barry, sitting up at the edge of the embankment. In the distance sirens peaked through the silence and the flashing red lights of Kildare County’s police force lit up the dark. You tried to calm your breathing as two suv’s cut to a stop, Peterkin getting out of one with her gun raised.
“Put down the weapon,” Shoupe’s voice echoed from the radio inside the car. His door blocked him from view but you knew he was there. You let one hand off the gun, holding your hands up in the air before slowly lowering the gun to the ground.
“Kick it to me honey,” Peterkin instructed, holstering her gun and stepping toward you from the side. Shoupe kept his gun trained on Barry while another officer went over to JJ.
“Don’t hurt him,” you urged the other officer, “it was all Barry.”
“We gotta cuff all of you, standard procedure.”
“No, we didn’t do anything!” You pulled away when Peterkin got close.
“It’s okay, it’s okay, Thomas, put the cuffs away and put Maybank in the back of my car.” Peterkin instructed.
As JJ passed you looked over at him. He looked sympathetic as he mouthed ‘sorry’ but you just shook your head. He didn’t need to apologize. Peterkin walked you to the car and put you in the back next to him and you laid your head on his shoulder, taking his hand in yours again and closing your eyes.

"I want you, and only you." and killervibe 🥰
I ... haven't written either character in over a year so ... their voices are probably rusty af and I'm sorry for that. But enjoy! @mazyeve
It’s been weeks since she’s heard from him. The texts and calls are far and few between. It had been expected that he would be too busy for her once he moved and started his new job, but Caitlin had hoped it would be something better than this. Something more concrete to solidify that their friendship wouldn’t be one of those that drifts apart and loses contact. To be fair, it’s not like she hasn’t been trying to keep them together. He just either won’t respond and when he does? It’s with an emoji reaction or one word response. And Caitlin is growing tired of it.
Heels click against the floor of the medbay as she walks back and forth, stocking up on medical supplies. Anything to keep from watching Chester entirely change the very room that had been Cisco Ramon’s workshop just weeks before. It was hard enough losing him to begin with but watching the changes that come with it, right in front of her eyes? It brought more than the kind of pain she could handle.
She may have lost her cool after the arcade game set foot inside of STAR Labs. It reminded her that Chester was like this whole other version of Cisco. And while she loves him, he’ll never exactly be Cisco. The person she loves more. So with every bit of change that came to Cisco’s workshop, the more she distanced herself from it unless circumstances demanded her presence.
Which led her to pulling unopened boxes of supplies from storage, dragging them up to medbay in the off chance that they have a quiet afternoon without some metahuman crisis in the process. Sure, the shelves may be over stocked at this point, but at least it kept her mind busy. At least it kept the pain and tears at bay with the welcomed distraction.
“Need some help with that?” The familiar voice catches her off guard, making her drop the boxes of gauze pads she was carrying over to the shelf. “Or not…”
Caitlin spins around on her heels, tears welling in her eyes as her mouth hangs slightly open. “Cisco.” Thoughts are racing through her mind and she almost doesn’t catch the soft ‘Hey Cait’ that comes along with that ever so familiar gentle smile. The kind that always meets his eyes. The very smile she still hasn’t realized is always reserved for only her. The one he finally realized is. “I’m surprised you have any time to visit Central City with your new job and all. It’s not like you have time to text me back.” She doesn’t mean the harsh tone and she goes to apologize, but the words never make it out over his quick response.
“Come on, Caitlin. Don’t be like that.” He steps into the room, eyes never leaving her as she kneels down to pick up the small boxes she’d dropped. They’re piled in his arms as he comes back up, dropping them onto the exam bed before stepping back in front of her. Despite her tone, his own gentle one never falters. “You know I’ll always have time for you.”
Her hand reaches up to brush a few strands of hair behind her ear, head tilting as she watches his movements. Especially when his hand moves to touch her arm. “I’m sorry. It just doesn’t seem like it. I always text or call you and you don’t—”
He wants to deny what she’s saying but he can’t. And he doesn’t because she’s right. He’s spent so long in his own little bubble, trying to figure everything out and trying to adjust. Trying to move on and figure things out but that never should have come in the way of his friendship with Caitlin. He’s just hoping she hasn’t figured it out that he’s been texting Barry back this entire time. “I know. It’s been a rough couple of weeks. With the move and the new job and not having you guys around all the time when I need you there.”
The little interrupted response of ‘I’ve been here, Cisco. I’ve always been here.’ from Caitlin doesn’t go unnoticed by him but it ignites something in him. Something he’s been trying to push down since the moment he actually left. Maybe even before that. And the next thing he’s blurting out is, “I broke up with Kamilla.”
Her eyes went instantly wide, it wasn’t something she’d ever been expecting for him to say. She thought Kamilla Hwang had been the one for him. Even if she wanted otherwise. “Why? I thought everything was perfect between the two of you. You were so happy.”
“I don’t know.” He steps back, spinning around with his back now facing her as hands go up to the back of his head. It looks like he’s in the middle of his own little crisis that she’ll let him go through. Anything to be there for him. “We were! I was. But something still felt so wrong about all of this. The move, the job, settling down with Kamilla. I want the dream job and the dream life. I want the wife and kids. The family. I want to move on from this place and be happy. But I don’t think it had to be that way. I don’t think it was meant to be with her.” “Cisco…”
“Let me finish. Please. You always made me feel at home from the first day I started here at STAR Labs. Always. Because you are my home and I’m never going to be home if you’re not around. Not really anyway. It’s you, Caitlin. I want you and only you. And if that makes me insane, then so be it, I’m insane. But I love you and I think I always have.”
“Cisco…” He tries to wave her off to keep talking but she’s spinning him around before he can even get another word out. Lips are pressed against his lips and without a second thought his hands are snaking around her waist, pulling her closer. It’s only when they need to pull back for air that she’s speaking again. “I love you too. Always have. That’s why it hurt me so much when you shut me out these past few weeks.” He nods, the reserved smile sneaking back onto his lips. “Well, lucky for us we don’t have to worry about any of that anymore. I’m here. I’m staying. I pretty much gave my two weeks notice as soon as I started which, I know, is insane, but I did it. A Central City based Ramon Industries sounds really good right about now.”

I feel like the most obvious path to Coldwestallen has been to have Barry and Iris get together first, although I've seen a couple fics where Len and Iris do, but I don't think I've ever seen a Coldflash turn into Coldwestallen. Do you think there's a scenario where that could happen ?
Oh that’s true isn’t it. Probably because it’s easiest, since westallen is established, or since Iris/Len is a bit easier to add Barry to in a natural way. I’ll be honest and say that all the coldwestallen story conceits I have are either westallen that adds cold, or coldwest that adds barry, or westallen and coldwest that gets messy (there’s a double amnesia AU I may still one day write).
That being said - of course there’s a scenario where it could happen.
There’s always a scenario where something could happen :D
I guess you’d have to start with - how did Barry and Len get together and why weren’t Barry and Iris together to start?
I’d honestly say it works best if you go with mid to late S2 for establishing coldflash. That was you don’t have established WA in canon yet to write your way around, and you can ignore Legends and Len leaving town in S2. Just branch from 2x09 where Len warns Barry about the Trickster and Weather Wizard and go from there.
Starting from that - I would say it makes sense to establish coldflash in whatever manner makes sense to you, whether it starts as a frenemies with benefits, blowing off steam kind of thing (my preference), or whether it is them working a case and getting closer until sparks fly (also fun) or something else. But establish coldflash and their dynamic - but don’t yet make it into a super serious and super committed thing.
Len isn’t foolish and he is perceptive - he knows Barry is and always has been holding a candle for Iris. This doesn’t bother him because he doesn’t expect this thing with Barry to get ‘real’. It is what it is, it’s fun, there’s mutual respect and everyone is having a good time, with a bit of spice and danger. If he finds himself a little over-invested, well, that’s on him, and he’ll deal with it when it needs dealing with.
Enter Iris, tentatively opening herself to Barry, finally - feeling ready for something with him (post Eddie’s death, sometime in S2, much like canon). Barry, then, is inexplicably torn - surprising himself, Len, and Iris. This is Unforeseen. Barry’s been in love with Iris for half his life, he’s not supposed to experience any conflict about finally having the opportunity to be with her now that she’s in a place where she’s emotionally open to that.
But, well, he is. Conflicted, that is. Because yeah, he feels for Iris, that hasn’t gone away. But now he’s guilty because, he’s kind of with Len? And really, to his own surprise a bit, really likes being with Len. He’s funny and charming and strong and sometimes mean and okay Barry actually kind of likes that mean-streak if he’s being fully honest, it’s refreshing and makes him feel more safe to be himself, more humble and down to earth, not like he has to constantly be the perfect golden boy on a pedestal but is allowed to be human.
Being with Len is good for him, and Barry doesn’t want to give that up. Which is a startling revelation to him when Iris kisses him and he kisses her back then immediately goes into a weird spiral because - are he and Len even exclusive? They never talked about it. What is he even doing? He can’t build a life with Len - can he? Holy crap he wants to build a life with Len. But Iris - what about Iris? He still wants to build a life with her. He and Len have never talked about Iris, not really, except skirting the topic, and Barry knows he’s never been subtle about his feelings for her but -
Iris is. Confused. Barry never fully confided what’s going on with Len to her. He hinted at some scandalous liasons, maybe, but she had no clue Barry was in any sort of situation that she might be interrupting. Barry is terrible at divulging his secrets or telling his friends and family anything, we know this.
Barry is an idiot (love him to death) and decides that Len is somehow the right person to confide in with his struggles. Len is. Shaking his head. Barry wtf. Go be with Iris. You love her, I’m not an idiot, I knew this would end. Barry like - screw you, aren’t you supposed to be a greedy thief and demand to keep me? Len like - wait you want me to... steal you? Like a brick of gold? Barry throwing his arms in the air like I don’t know I just don’t want to lose you!
Len suddenly confronted by the fact that Barry has real, grown-up feelings for him and not just a bit of puppy love, that he’s actually considering staying with Len and losing out on his chance to be with Iris. Which is a bit arresting because - that’s a lot of love and depth, and it’s suddenly there on display with all the despair etched into Barry’s face at the prospect of giving up Len and since when did Barry fall in love with him holy shit holy shit holy shit -
And like - Len is a greedy thief, okay. And he’s mean. He wants to keep Barry. He gets to keep Barry? He’s going to keep Barry. He doesn’t expect it to last because it’s Barry and Barry is Good and Right and Deserves to Be with Iris. But Len is Mean and Greedy and Fights Dirty. (len’s perception, obvy). So he tells Barry he won’t make him choose, but also gets all sexy-possessive (it’s one of my favourite things, okay, just allow it) and makes sure to remind Barry of all the enjoyment he gets from being with Len.
But being the instigating little shit that he is, he also encourages Barry to talk to Iris, to even take her on a date, to see if he can get from her what he gets from him. why? why play with fire? because len plays to win and he’s not going to be satisfied if barry regrets his choice and leaves him in a year over iris. he wants all of barry now that he’s got the option, dammit.
So a very conflicted Barry takes Iris out. Kisses her. Gets all heart-beating confused and delighted and everything. Things get a bit hot and heavy and then he stops and has to talk because this is great but he feels guilty as hell and part of that guilt is because yes okay Len said this is fine but is it really and what does Barry want and okay Iris totally has a right to know where his head is at.
So Barry opens up to Iris about the situation and she’s like “relationship? huh? but - he’s a thief, I don’t - you’re the flash - how does - huh?” quite understandably I would say, because last time she met Len, he was threatening to blow her up in her own livingroom. It wasn’t a great first impression. sure barry hinted at some ~liasons~ with someone and maybe she suspected it was cold but this is so much beyond that.
So she takes it on herself to at least make sure this guy has good intentions for Barry because whatever the situation, she still loves and cares for Barry and if he’s in over his head with this antagonist and is being taken advantage of, it’s her duty as his friend to help make sure he’s okay. (And also - Barry wants to be with her. he said as much. he isn’t shy about being in love with her. so why the hell is he still hung up on this guy?)
And Len is... weird. Okay. He’s weird. She goes to talk to him and he’s speaking in riddles and double-speak and innuendo. So much innuendo. Why? Puns all the way up, all the way down. And they argue and it’s... electric. Like shockingly electric. It gets to like them standing chest to chest breathing heavy and hissing invective at one another before they realize - oh. Oh this is tension, this is chemistry. This is dangerous.
Nothing happens. They back off as one. Recalibrate. Try to sort their heads around ‘what the hell was that’. Len tells Barry that Iris visited him. Barry confronts Iris. Iris tells him she was legit worried, and Barry decides they all need to sit down together so he can more legitimately smooth over Iris’s actually-quite-reasonable fears and maybe like... sort out what he wants.
but obviously what he wants is to have his cake and eat it too. because he’s always been in love with her but now he’s also in love with him, and either way he wins and he loses and that is a very painful and difficult situation to be in and maybe len never should have encouraged him to pursue this because what a goddamn mess his heart is now.
and from there, naturally the next thing to do is to conclude the narrative in a satisfying way and get the three of them together. both len and iris comforting a distraught barry on instinct, looking at each other and pausing, then continuing because “this is my job” “no it’s mine”. like a game of chicken comforting him and challenging each other, raised eyebrows and “your move” looks until they’re kind of very tenderly seducing barry and it’s delightfully overwhelming to him. it’s soft (softer than how i’d usually write smut tbh) because the focus is on these very intense and overpowering emotions and this deep (healthy!) possessiveness born out of love from all three of them.
and because i’m a sucker for it there’s got to be this pivotal moment where len and iris kiss. like len and iris are peppering barry with kisses, stealing his lips, taking turns doing that as they undress him (they work so well in tandem, gee what a surprise), and then he leans back a bit as they move to trade his mouth off again and his eyes are half-lidded but the desire is plain as day so iris and len have a moment of silent negotiation and then they kiss and -
oh. oh, that is more than just electric. it’s something special. deep, powerful, undeniable.
so of course really fantastic sex is had by all, because this is fanfiction and sex is never awkward and no one accidentally falls off the bed (except that would be super funny and i’d probably write it that way just because). and barry is delighted and blissed out af. and iris and len’s fingers intertwine over barry’s stomach as they lay on either side of him, and it’s beautiful and offers a promise of what’s to come.
i’d keep that end short rather than do the whole relationship negotiation but honestly knowing me, i’d actually end up incidentally dragging it out more and adding in more of that relationship negotiation dynamic before they got to the end because i can’t help it.
But uhm. To answer your question: Yes. Yes I do think the scenario is possible.

This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things
A/N: Sorry about this y’all! I’m angsty af right now.
Summary: After injuring yourself during a hit, you go to the Emergency Room and receive devastating news.
tw: miscarriage
Pairing: Barry Berkman x hitman!wife reader
Tumblr media
You didn’t have to wait long in the Emergency Room. The nurse who checked you in was concerned by your appearance and alerted for a doctor to see you right away. She wasn’t wrong, you look pretty beat up. You told the nurse you fell down a flight of stairs, but that was a lie. The truth was you had just finished a hit.
After breaking into your target’s house, he attempted to fight back. He attacked you from behind, disarming you and sending your gun across the room. The target repeatedly punched you and tried to hold you down on the floor until you were able to fight out of his grip. He kicked you hard in the stomach as you got to your feet. Running on adrenaline, you raced to your gun and took out your target.
Now you’re in pain and bleeding heavily in your underwear. You knew this wasn’t a regular period, something’s wrong. You were nervous that the kick from your target caused some sort of internal bleeding.
Then the doctor broke the news - you had a miscarriage.
“Wh….what? That’s not….that’s not possible. I’m not pregnant…. I’m sorry….What?” you stutter.
Your eyes widen and jaw drops, you’re in shock.
“You were two months along, a lot of women don’t know at that stage. Miscarriages are common during the first trimester,” the doctor explains delicately.
You’re speechless right now. A million thoughts run through your head. How could you not know you were pregnant? Did this happen because you went on that hit? Is this your fault?
“Is your partner here with you?” your doctor asks.
“No,” you shake your head, “No. My husband’s at work.”
Barry was also out on a hit tonight. You didn’t tell him that you went to the hospital because you didn’t want him to worry.
The doctor keeps talking but you stop listening to her. You can’t believe this is happening right now. You’re still trying to process the news. You and Barry had always talked about having kids one day, but this wasn’t planned. Maybe that’s why you didn’t pick up any signs that you might be pregnant. You mentally kick yourself. This was all your fault. You can feel your eyes welling up.
“Do you have any questions?”
“Can I… can I go home now?” you ask, wiping away some tears.
You function on auto-pilot as you check out, just going through the motions. You feel so overwhelmed and need to get away from the ER as soon as possible.
While leaving the hospital, your phone rings. It’s Barry. Your heart skips a beat. You have no idea how you’re going to explain this to your husband. You stare down at your phone, contemplating if you should even answer. Before it’s about to hit voicemail, you pick up.
“Barry…” you say quietly, fighting back tears.
“Hey, y/n! Where are you? I thought you’d be back by now. Are you okay?”
“I… I’ll be home soon,” you tell him before abruptly hanging up.
You walk quickly to your car. As soon as you get in, you let out a giant scream and burst into tears. You didn’t think you could be this sad losing something that you didn’t even know you had in the first place. After crying for a few minutes, you pull yourself together and drive home.
You open the door to find your husband anxiously pacing the living room.
“Y/n!” Barry rushes up to you, pulling you into a hug, “Are you alright?”
You shake your head and look down at your feet. Barry gives you a concerned look.
“What happened?”
You feel your eyes tearing up again. You try to wipe them away, but it’s useless. You can’t stop yourself from crying. Barry’s eyes widen, he’s extremely worried. You’re the strongest person he knows, he’s seen you upset before but not like this. He gently rubs your arms, keeping close to you. Barry just wants to know what happened so he can fix it.
“Come on, y/n. Talk to me,” Barry tries.
“I..I had a miscarriage,” you breathe.
Barry’s in shock. He has the same expression on his face that you had when the ER doctor told you the news.
“What? H-how...How?”
“I got kicked in the stomach during my hit. I didn’t even know I was pregnant! I’m such a fucking idiot. I was two months along. I mean, how could I not know? I didn’t even notice that I skipped a period. This is my fault. I should’ve known. I’m so sorry,” you sob.
“What? No. No, it’s not your fault. This type of stuff happens like all the time,” Barry tells you.
“Yes it is my fault! If I didn’t go on the hit...” you say.
“It’s not your fault,” Barry softly reassures you.
“But-”
“It’s not your fault,” he repeats.
Your husband pulls you closer to him and you cry into his shoulder for a few minutes. He’s just as shocked and devastated as you are, but he’s going to be strong for you. Barry knows you can handle yourself but he wishes he was there to protect you. You’re his family, his future, and part of that was taken away tonight.
“You finished the job, right?” Barry asks in a low, serious tone.
“Yeah,” you quietly nod.
Barry takes a deep breath and kisses your forehead. If you didn’t kill the target, he would’ve. You pull away from your husband, but remain close. You take his hands in yours and look him in the eyes.
“If I ever get pregnant again…. I’m leaving the job for good. I can’t put our baby in that kind of danger,” you say adamantly.
“Do you want to try again? I know we didn’t try this time, but maybe-”
“Yes!” you interrupt your husband, “I love you, Barry, and I want us to have a real family. I don’t think I realized how much I wanted that until now... And I can’t keep doing what I’m doing forever.”
“Me neither,” Barry agrees, “If you leave, I’ll leave too. Our kid isn’t going anywhere near that life.”
You pull Barry in for another hug and he wraps his arms around you.
“It can be a fresh start,” you say softly.
“We’re going to have kids one day, y/n. And we’ll keep them safe. I promise.”

Quarantined with Him.
Tumblr media
Summary: With COVID-19 hitting all parts of the country, Team Flash has decided that it’s safest that they stick together, and live
Warnings: Slight profanity.
Primary pairs: WestAllen, Harrisco, Jecile
Canon/Head: Headcanon
Insight: So initially this was meant to be a fanfic written by a prompt that @catvampcrazines really wanted to see, which was Harrisco being sleep deprived and goofy AF. Tumblr, being the shitshow that it is won't even let me post the entire first part that I have now, so this is going to have a lot more parts than I intended it to. I do apologize for taking so long with writing this, but when covid-19 hit, it gave me the perfect timing and the perfect excuse to get all of Team Flash together to experience Harrisco's weirdness. Anyways, enjoy!
The members of Team Flash were dispersed throughout the Cortex at S.T.A.R Labs when Joe had entered the room. Iris and Cisco sat at the monitors while Harry hovered behind them, clicking on his pen anxiously as they watched Barry run through the streets of Central City. Caitlin sat at the desk just outside of the medical bay, going over some new material put put by a few of her friends from medical school.      “Turn on the news,” Joe said, worry written all over his face. Everyone turned their attention towards the new presence, puzzled at his expression.       “Dad, is something wrong?” Iris asked, turning her chair in his direction.      “You guys haven’t heard?” Joe asked, his eyes looked to each person. “Central City is closing off all borders because of this whole virus thing.”      “Again with this virus?” Harry groaned. He had been back on Earth-1 since December, when the first case was made public. Every time he heard the name of the virus it always seemed like bad news.     “Got it,” Cisco called out. He hit a button on his keyboard, and just like that live-footage from Central City News was projected onto the main monitor.     “Fast breaking developments in the Coronavirus emergency in the U.S. and around the world. The number of cases soaring just today. More than 700 thousand nation-wide. To decrease the risk of infection, Mayor Van Buren has just announced that Central City is now officially under lockdown. Starting today, no one is allowed to leave or enter the city…”     “Well, it seems like your Earth is no longer safe to stay on,” Harry crossed his arms against his chest. “I guess I should be heading home soon.”     Cisco immediately looked up to Harry. “Do you have to make comments like that?” Though his tone was rather crabby, his eyes screamed ‘don’t leave me’.     Harry’s icy orbs met Cisco’s gaze. The older male clicked his tongue, knowing he had struck worry into the other. “Oh, come on now,” he placed a hand on the meta’s shoulder, his thumb gently tracing the seam of Cisco's sleeve.      "You always do this," Cisco moved his shoulder away from Harry's hand.     "I—"     “Has Earth-2 seen anything like this?” Caitlin intervened in the small quarrel between the couple.      Harry shook his head, “No, and again, my Earth is very much ahead of yours. I’m sure if anything like this was to even appear on my Earth, it would’ve been taken care of like,” he snapped his fingers, purposely right next to Cisco’s ear just to have his eyes on him again.      “Either way,” Joe started, “This isn’t looking good at all. Are you guys sure it’s safe to have Barry still running out there?” he asked.     “I could always make him a respirator to go with his suit,” Cisco said.     “...along with temporarily closing down non-essential businesses, Mayor Buren has also announced a curfew at 9’oclock p.m. for all citizens of Central City. Yes, Flash, this includes you.”     “Problem solved,” Iris looked back to Joe.      “Criminals  don’t care about curfews,” Joe replied. “I’m just trying to make sure you guys stay safe,” he looked to everyone in the room. “Last thing we need is any one of us getting this thing.”      “We’ll be fine, Dad,” Iris grabbed Joe’s hand, squeezing it gently as if she could transfer all of his negative feelings to her. “I’ll talk to Barry once he comes back, and then we can all decide what happens then.”     “If worst comes to worst, we just all stay here.” Caitlin pointed out. “We’re here everyday as it is.”     “Yeah,” Iris agreed. “I can always do my work in the lounge  while Team Flash is doing its thing.”     “That could actually work,” Cisco said, gliding his tongue over his lips after taking a sip of his coffee. “We still have a few empty rooms that we could just set up some beds in,”     “I’m the one that actually lives here, do I get a say in this?” Harry asked.     “No.” Everyone responded.     Harry rolled his eyes at their response. “Fine, but don’t go touching my rum,” he looked to Caitlin.     “What? I never—” “Not you, I’m talking about Frost. Last time I was here, she drank all my whiskey without telling me,” he said.     “Was it the honey flavored one?” Cisco asked.     “Yes,” Harry hissed.      “Ooh,” Cisco sucked his teeth. “Bad call, Frosty,” he said to Caitlin.     “Guys—” Barry interrupted through the comms, “are you guys really discussing staying at S.T.A.R. Labs right after Iris said you guys would wait for me to come back?”     “Decision has been made, Barry. Suck it up,” Cisco called out.     “Since when?” Harry said, looking down at the younger male.     “Just now. I did it,” Cisco affirmed “What? You have something to say?” Cisco asked, ready to retaliate any nonsense that could possibly come out of Harry's mouth.      “Whatever the hell y’all do, just let me know, okay?” Joe said.“I’m gonna go make some calls, see if I can get a hold of Cecile. See you later, baby,” Joe leaned down, giving Iris a kiss on the cheek. “Stay safe,” he said to the rest, giving Harry a pat on the shoulder before exiting.      Taking it upon himself to decide that Team Flash would be staying at S.T.A.R Labs, Cisco and Iris had also taken the time and thought of how things would run during the entire situation. He pulled over the drawing board and assigned everyone a certain task to do during the days of the week.      “...and because we can’t live off of just coffee and candy, this coming Saturday, Barry and I will go out for a grocery run,” he said looking at all of them.      “Sounds like a plan,” Barry nodded before leaning his head down and resting his chin on his wife’s shoulder.     “What about me?” Harry asked, his arms held snug against his torso. “I’m not assigned anything.”     “You can’t even leave the building, Harry. What makes you think I’d put you up here?” Cisco asked, playing with the marker cap.      “Well, I live here,” Harry shrugged. “Something is better than nothing.”     “Fine, fine,” Cisco turned back to the board and wrote ‘mi cama.’     Harry’s cheeks burned with a shade of red once reading his task. “Stupid,” he muttered under his breath, looking to the ground to hide his smirk.      “Oh God, Cisco,” Iris laughed when she read the addition. “Take that down.” “Fine, but I give you props for being the only one to read it,” he chuckled, erasing what he had just written down and changing Harry’s duty to ‘trash.’ “There, you’re on trash duty.”      Barry laughed, “Doodie.”     “You gave me trash?” Harry asked, approaching the board. “You’re really giving me trash?”     “Are you 12?” Cisco asked Barry, rolling his eyes before he turned to Harry. “You said give to you something, so I gave you something that you can actually do. You’re doing trash.”     “You’re trash.” Harry spat, looking down at him.     “No, you’re trash.” Cisco tapped the tip of the marker against Harry’s chest with each word spoken.     “You wish I was trash,” Harry snatched the marker from Cisco’s hand.     “Har—”     “Anyways,” Caitlin interrupted, “How about we go get something cooked up right now?”     “Yes please,” Barry said, “I’m starving,” he grabbed Iris’ hand then started to pull her towards the exit.      “What should we make?” Cisco asked.     “You guys decide,” Iris said, “Barry and I are gonna go set up our room.”     “Liars,” Harry called out as they walked out.     “I could really go for some of your lasagna right now, Cisco,” Caitlin said.     “You’ve made her lasagna?” Harry asked. “After all the times I’ve asked you to co—”     “Settle down, long legs” Cisco patted Harry's chest. “You guys want to help me make it?” he asked.      Caitlin shook her head as she too walked towards the exit, “I’m going to work on my room as well,” she told them, “make it a little more snug,” then disappeared into the hallway.     “What about you?” Cisco looked at Harry.     “Do you want me to?” Harry asked.      Cisco gestured for the other to tag along. “Come on,”
Surprisingly, Harry had completed everything requested of him without any opposition. When given the chance, he would use that time to get Cisco’s attention and ask him if he was doing whatever he was told to correctly, correctly meaning Cisco’s definition of correctly.      The elder grabbed a half cut onion to mince when his sight became fixated on Cisco. Harry’s thumb and forefinger wrapped around the blade while he made parallel cuts through the vegetable, moving the knife downward and backward motion as his free hand held the onion in place. Spell-bound by a simple glance at the younger, who had no idea he was being watched, Harry had forgotten to return his attention back to the task in front of him. The meta took hold of his soft curls and waves, tying them back into a relatively messy bun. Once his hair was tied back, Harry saw Cisco advance towards him.     “Woah,” Cisco grabbed Harry’s wrist in haste, his grip significantly strong. “What are you doing?” Fear filled his eyes as they gazed at Harry’s hand, the blade had just barely broken through his skin.      “I—” Harry was brought back to reality. How was Harry supposed to tell Cisco that his attention was on him the entire time? “I know what I’m doing,” Harry lied with a scoff.     “Do you?” Cisco snatched the knife out of his hands. “You could’ve hurt yourself,” he placed the knife down, and seized the hand that was almost assaulted, examining the now very light cut on Harry’s knuckles. A rather satisfying sensation overcame Harry when feeling Cisco’s soft, warm touch.     “I’m fine, Cisco,” Harry responded. He tore his hand from Cisco’s hold. “I’m fine.”      “Are you?” his eyes studied Harry’s face, searching for signs to disprove Harry’s statement before quickly gazing around to make sure they were alone.     “Yes,” he nodded, holding Cisco’s hand to his chest. “I’m fine. Promise.” Harry assured him.      Still worried, Cisco quickly decided to swap tasks. “I’ll finish up here,” he grabbed the knife, “can you work on the ricotta cheese mix?”      “Cisco, I said I’m fine.”     “And I said that I’ll finish up here.”     “Fine,” he exhaled an agitated sigh. He knew that even if he protested against Cisco, he would simply end up doing what was asked of him anyways.
Once the food was prepared, Caitlin and Iris had set up the coffee table as Barry and Cisco made the drinks. Harry, now being treated as safety priority number one by his beloved partner, sat impatiently upon the round couch while being accompanied by Joe, Cecile, and Baby Jenna, who was sitting in the S.T.A.R Labs baby-chair made by Cisco.      Cisco finally pulled out the steaming dish of saucy red noodles out of the oven. A warm heat kissing his cheek while the heavenly fragrance of juicy seasoned tomatoes combined with spicy ground meat fill the air.     “That smells fantastic,” Barry eyed the dish. He could feel his mouth begin to water.     “I’m telling you, man, no one knows how to make lasagna better than yours truly,” Cisco smiled.     “You guys were going to start without me?” A male voice called out. Ralph had been absent at S.T.A.R Labs throughout the entire day, but he wasn’t going to miss his first Team Flash sleepover.      “Of course not,” Caitlin smiled, holding up his plate. Ralph gave her a smile, throwing his jacket over his shoulder as he made his way through the room.     “Oh my God, the baby,” Ralph cooed as he approached Jenna.      “Ah—” Cecile picked up her daughter before Ralph could touch her.     “What?” Ralph’s smile turned into a pout as he looked between the parents. “I just wanted to—”     “Did you not just come from outside?” Joe asked.     “I mean— I j-just,” Ralph stammered, hearing Joe’s fatherly voice coming out.     “Ah, wash your hands first.” Cecile said.      Ralph gave a disappointing sigh, “I’m not infected.”      “Yes, but she’s still very young,” Caitlin commented. “There’s nothing wrong about staying cautious,” she said. Ralph pouted as he held his hands up then stretched them over to the sink. He washed halfway up his arms thoroughly, scrubbing his skin down with soap for a good 20 seconds. He dried his arms then returned his arms to their normal length.      “May I?” Ralph’s arms eager to hold Jenna.      Cecile nodded, “You may.”  “Finally,” he smiled, taking hold of  the giggling child from its mother’s arms.
Sighs and moans of pleasure filled the air as each person took a bite from their plates. Cisco’s lips were pulled to a grin, satisfied with the feedback, but Harry was the only one who hadn’t tried it yet. The couple briefly exchanged looks. Harry knew what Cisco was waiting for. He wanted Harry to try it. Harry gave a sly grin as he nudged Cisco gently with his elbow then dove his fork into the layers of delicate pasta. He quickly raised his fork into his mouth, fireworks exploded in his mouth while eating the moist layers. The spices of the sauce complimented the meat perfectly, providing a savory taste rather than a fiery one, and the warmth of the cheese over his tongue just added to the experience. Harry smiled as he took another bite, giving Cisco the answer he was looking for.      “This,” Joe pointed to his plate, “is really freaking good. My compliments to the chef.” He winked at Cisco, whose body was filling up with content and joy. He was glad he was able to provide something other than just suits and tech.     “It wasn’t just me,” Cisco’s eyes scanned everyone. “Harry helped too.     “I did,” The older male nodded, “but it was your recipe, making you responsible for this.”     “I told y’all,” Cisco chuckled. “No one makes lasagna better than Papi Ramon.”      Laughter filled the room.     “Papi?” Harry chuckled, wiping his mouth with a napkin.     “Just let me have it, okay? Just this once.” Cisco requested.      “Anyways,” Cecile spoke, “so when was somebody going to tell me about you two?” She pointed her fork back and forth between Cisco and Harry, which led to their ears and cheeks burning to a shade of red and Harry slightly choking on his food. “How’d it start?”     “Uhm—” Cisco handed Harry his drink and patted his back.     “If you don’t tell them, I will,” Iris said, taking a sip of her wine.      “It’s cute,” Caitlin said softly.     “It is,” Ralph nodded before feeding Baby Jenna a spoonful of lightly salted carrots.      “Dish it!” Cecile incited.      Harry placed his plate down. He kept his eyes down at his hands, trying to avoid Cecile’s gaze. “I mean I don’t really think there’s much to—”     “Uh-uh-uh,” Cecile shook her head. “I want to know. I want to know everything up until the first kiss,” she demanded. The red shade on Harry’s cheeks grew darker. Hearing this, everyone leaned forward so they wouldn’t miss a second of it.     “Well,” Cisco twirled his fork into his lasagna.     “There’s not much to tell,” Harry cleared his throat.      “It was a little after saving Jesse that we started talking,” Cisco looked at Harry, who was nodding along as he spoke.       “After Jesse and I had left the first time, Ramon and I kept in touch,” Harry took a sip of his drink. “Just to get him to come over, sometimes I would ask him to help me with some experiments.”     “So who asked who?” Joe asked, wiping his lips with a napkin.     “Neither of us,” Harry responded, leaning closer towards Cisco.      “No?” Cecile questioned.     “No,” Harry confirmed.     “It was just one of those things where we just knew,” Cisco lightly shrugged with a soft smile.      “And the kiss?” Cecile asked. The two males glanced down at the white tiles beneath their feet. Harry shook his head. “You tell it,” Cisco said.     “Why me?” Harry questioned.  “You have total recall,” Cisco gave Harry a mocking grin.      “Fuck me,” Harry whispered under his breath before being flicked in the head by Cisco. “What the—”     “Baby,” Cisco pointed to Jenna with his fork. “Watch your language.”      Harry gave the parents an apologetic look then proceeded with what he was going to say. “I’ll tell it,” he cleared his throat. “We were over in Cisco’s workshop. The both of us had stayed really late working on the earmuffs for Jesse and I. Cisco had gone out to go get us some ice cream. I had the butter pecan,” he looked over to Cisco, “and you had some sort of brownie sundae, right?”     Cisco nodded. “It was a brownie fudge sundae with coffee ice cream,”     “The one that comes with the dinosaur shaped brownie?” Barry asked.     “Are you judging my dino brownie?” Cisco asked.     “Damn,” Iris pouted. “Now I want brownies.”     Everyone laughed before Harry continued his anecdote.      “Anyways,” the scientist ran his tongue over his lips, “so Ramon was sitting across from me and I had noticed that there was chocolate fudge on his lip. I told him, and yeah…” Harry trailed off.      “Uh-uh” Iris shook her head. “That’s not a first kiss story.”     “What?” Harry scoffed. “I just—” “You have to describe what happens from Point A to Point B,” Ralph spoke. “Point B being the kiss.” “Fine.” Harry groaned, his face was red as Barry’s suit now.      “Go back to the part with the fudge,” Barry teased.      Harry’s teeth gently took hold of his bottom lip as he tried to find the right words. “Okay, so the fudge,” he chuckled. “I had grabbed a napkin, and held it out for him, but his attention was completely elsewhere,” he turned to Cisco, “I don’t know what the heck you were doing, but I was waving it and everything, and he just never looked up, so I leaned forward and used my thumb to wipe it off. Being, y’know so close,” he used his hand to gesture how close he was to Cisco’s face, “I saw the chance and I took it,” Harry clapped his hands in accomplishment of telling the story without running away. He sipped his drink once more before returning his unfinished plate into his hands.     All the women awed at the stories.     “Now that’s a cute first kiss story,” Cecile smiled before finishing her meal.     “I think that’s the cutest first kiss story here,” Caitlin said looking around, Iris nodded in agreement.     “What?” Barry asked. “You don’t think our first kiss-”     “Barry, you erased that timeline.” Cisco butted in.      The speedster wanted to keep his mouth shut, but still managed to say “I still think ours was the cutest,” he muttered.     “If you say so,” Iris said, patting Barry’s shoulder.
For the first time in years, S.T.A.R Labs had a peaceful night. There weren’t any metas to chase tonight, no one randomly breaking into S.T.A.R. Labs. It was just chatter and joy. Joe and Cecile had decided to retire for the day, taking Baby Jenna along with them, leaving Harry as the designated meta-babysitter. He leaned back against the couch, his arm placed upon the backrest, which left a cavity to his torso which was soon filled by Cisco's body. He invited the pressure and warmth the younger's body provided. Harry looked at Cisco’s cards then back to the deck when Barry put down his card.     "Uno dare #5" Cisco read aloud then leaned forward to read the dare card, “flip the table...”     “Finally,” a wide grin plastered itself along the speedster’s face. He quickly grabbed the edge of the table and flipped it over.     “Good job, Allen,” Harry said looking at the mess. “Now clean it up,” Barry rolled his eyes, but did as told. His golden lightning zoomed around until everything was put back into place.     “I think I’m gonna hit the hay,” Barry stretched.     “Same,” Iris stood up and made her way over to Barry.      "Yeah, I think I'm gonna go too." Caitlin added.     "What? You're all just gonna leave?" Cisco asked.     The three exchanged looks before nodding. "Yeah," they said in unison.     "Add me to that too," Ralph took off his jacket.     "Ope, there's another one." Harry commented before sitting up straight.     "Y'all are no fun." Cisco pouted.     "We'll play tomorrow," Barry said, wrapping his arm around Iris. Cisco held his pout as he watched them exit. Harry tapped the meta's shoulder.      "You coming to bed?" he asked, lifting himself up from the couch.      "I'll be there in a bit," Cisco responded. "I have something I want to work on," he said.      "Oh?" Harry raised a brow. "Mind if I join?"     "I don't mind at all," Cisco smiled.

Rhea Seehorn: Who is Kim Wexler?
“I saw that something was eroding in Kim for multiple seasons.”
Awards Focus: In the season four finale, Kim was stunned when Jimmy revealed his emotional speech to get his law license reinstated was just a performance. She’s left standing in the hall as he races off to change his name to Saul Goodman.
This year, it’s Kim’s turn to leave Jimmy on his heels. Were you shocked when she left her work on Mesa Verde and subsequently started brainstorming about decimating Howard’s career to get Jimmy his Sandpiper case money?
Rhea Seehorn: Well, to be fair, it is a series of decisions. I saw that something was eroding in Kim for multiple seasons. And what I appreciate about our series, like Vince (Gilligan) and Peter (Gould) did with Breaking Bad, it’s about incremental decisions that these people are making. They’re unaware that they’re falling off a complete cliff. I didn’t know what that final scene was going to be. But I took every step that was handed to me with the information she had presently and played that scene.
Tumblr media
AF: You’ve said you’ve seen erosion going on in Kim, can you speak more to that?
Seehorn: The beauty of the show is that these characters are so affected by their past, not only by the events we’ve seen on the series but even before that. From the beginning of the series there was something about Kim’s stillness and her need for control and to right every ship. When I looked at that, I asked “What are you trying to get away from?” or “What are you suppressing that’s so chaotic that you need to make sure that everything is steady all the time?” Those questions spoke to me about the changes we’re seeing in the latter half of this season.
AF: So there’s a potential “Slippin’ Kimmy” underneath the Kim we’ve come to know?
Seehorn: About halfway through the season, Peter (Gould) said that he and the writers started thinking about the masks we all wear and what’s behind Kim’s mask. I will be very interested to see if she follows through with the decimation of Howard Hamlin and can she stomach those actions? Is she a person now who doesn’t even have a conscience? When she shoots the finger guns at Jimmy, there’s a menacing undertone that certainly concerns him.
Tumblr media
AF:  There’s so many telling moments about Kim’s character. The moment when she and Jimmy are throwing the beer bottles off the roof, but Kim cleans up the glass the next morning. If Kim does goes through with this plan for Howard, do you think she would follow suit in some sort of attempt to clean up that mess as well?
Seehorn: That’s a good question. If Kim goes through with her plan, there may no way for Howard to recover. Michael Morris directed those beer bottle scenes, I love how they tie the episodes together. The first one where Kim had some animosity about her saying the name Saul Goodman and then when they’re tossing the bottles together it’s a bonding moment.
AF:  Bob (Odenkirk) has spoken about living with Patrick (Fabian) and yourself in Albuquerque. Can you give our audience a look into the behind the scenes life during production?
Seehorn: The three of us have been living together for the last two years and prior to that Bob and Patrick lived together for a season without me. Frankly, I wish we’d been doing it the whole time. It’s so helpful because the scripts are so dense and complex and you’re always wishing you had more time to play with them and find new things.
AF: As you’ve pointed out, the scripts are often dense. When you have a dialogue heavy episode, how much of that preparation is just getting a grasp on the material?
Seehorn: A lot of it. Jonathan Banks and I laugh because we have the same philosophy. If you think you’re off book, then you need to ask yourself, “Are you off book riding a bike? Are you off book standing on your head? Are you off book swimming in the ocean?”
You think you know your lines and then as soon as you’re asked to do something, or you try blocking, or your scene partner decides to do whatever they’re going to do, the words start to slip away from you. There’s just no time for that with our shooting schedule, not if you want to bring your A-game.
AF: Is there a general time set aside for working through the scripts at the house?
Seehorn: If you’re having a cup of coffee in the main kitchen, you’re gonna get asked to read lines. You basically need to hide in your room if you don’t want to run lines, because if you are seen or visible anywhere in the house, you’re going to get asked. And we run lines that are not our scenes too. Like if Howard has a scene with someone else, then I’ll be whoever he’s talking to and it’s great.
Tumblr media
AF:  The scenes between Lalo (Tony Dalton) and Kim are incredible this season.  Before we dive into specifics, talk about working with Tony and his presence as Lalo.
Seehorn: I mean, how great is Tony? What a find that Sherry Thomas and Sharon Bialy brought to Vince and Peter. He’s so talented, but he’s also a very generous actor. It doesn’t matter if he’s not talking for the majority of the episode nine confrontation, he’s giving me so much in that scene once I’m toe-to-toe with him.
AF:  We saw a different Kim when she meets Lalo in jail. Can you talk about crafting that confrontation?
Seehorn: I spoke with Gordon Smith, who wrote episode eight, about the idea of when is Kim off her game? Because previously, we’d seen that she can fall apart in a stairwell or at home, but once she walks into a courtroom or a meeting, she suppresses all of that, and can be totally professional.
So, I went in there questioning “Do we think she can actually hold herself together right now?”  We decided that she probably hasn’t slept at all and she knows this is a very scary situation. She’s pretty sure that Jimmy is dead or dying in the desert right now and she can’t call the police and tell them what happened. So, she’s trying to get information from Lalo and she’s unsuccessful in that scene whereas in episode nine she is successful.
I like that Kim got two attempts to go at Lalo using intelligence and rhetoric. The second one in episode nine, written and directed by Tom Schnauz, was a monster of a scene and we knew it.
Tumblr media
AF: What were some of the logistical considerations for the episode nine faceoff?
Seehorn: Tom came to Bob and Tony and I, and asked if we could rehearse it on set. It’s technically a difficult scene, I have the big monologue at the end, but Tony has to play a lot of different things as he’s reacting to what he’s hearing from Bob and then Kim.
For Bob, he has to repeat the same story but slightly differently, I think four times, which for an actor is very hard material to memorize because you lose track of where you are in the loop. Tom had written in purposeful nuances as Jimmy sort of devolves in his storytelling.
So we rehearsed it, and thankfully we made a lot of decisions with Marshall Adams (the director of photography) and our camera ops and lighting people. That allowed us to get ahead of the curve and give ourselves the hours that we had to shoot it instead of losing time on the technical aspects.
AF: At the beginning of that scene, you have to be very present for Bob and Tony, conveying that sense of dread and uncertainty that Kim feels. What’s going through her head there?
Seehorn: Kim is in survival mode for the first half of the scene. She’s very still, but she’s practical. I think she’s immediately thinking, “Could we jump from this balcony? Where are the knives in the house? Could Jimmy and I take him if we had to?” Eventually, she’s run out of options and is left with observing Jimmy and what unfolds in front of her.
AF: Kim knows that Jimmy is lying to Lalo and that Lalo either suspects it or knows it.
Seehorn: She knows there’s a secret involving the bullet hole in the mug, and that the secret is so great that Jimmy is literally crumbling in front of her and it needs to be protected at all cost for some reason.
AF: And then Kim steps up to the plate, which was the most harrowing moment of the season. Were you always meant to get so close to Tony, having Kim invade Lalo’s space like that?
Seehorn: Yeah, that was in the script. I spoke to Jennifer Bryan, who’s brilliant with our costumes, and I said, “Kim’s coming from work so she has her heels on… do you think we can get the shoes off in the scene?” I talked to Tom Schnauz about having Kim’s shoes off because I wanted to be even physically smaller than Lalo.
Kim switches to pragmatism in that moment, that’s her fight or flight. She wants to go toe-to-toe like she’s proving a case, finding the holes in Lalo’s story and sewing enough doubt that he backs down.
AF: Do you think Kim prepared her argument while she was sitting there, listening to Jimmy?
Seehorn: I talked to Tom about that, I don’t think she memorized this monologue while she was sitting there on the couch worried. I think she starts it and has to find it. So, we made sure we did a couple of runs at that, just letting me find it and letting me constantly control that lump in my throat because Kim can’t become hysterical.
If Lalo sees that she’s emotionally terrified or starts screaming or anything like, she loses all she has, which is trying to present a logical, forceful argument that he really has to consider. You see Lalo shush Kim earlier on the scene, so I think she’s pretty clear what the cartel would think of women screaming or crying.
AF: Prior to Lalo,  Kim’s biggest confrontation was with Mesa Verde client Kevin Wachtell (Rex Linn). The property tycoon was locking horns with Mr. Acker (Barry Corbin), an elderly home owner who refused to vacate his property.
Kim, feeling sympathetic to the man’s circumstances, recruits Jimmy to represent him — a move that nearly causes their relationship to implode. I don’t think anyone saw the idea for marriage coming, much less from Kim. What was your reaction to that?
Seehorn: That was something Bob and I worked extensively on, getting that moment to feel authentic. It’s also Kim accepting Jimmy for who he is, rough edges and all. In episode nine, Jimmy can’t accept Kim’s decision to quit Mesa Verde and she calls him out on it.
AF:  Knowing what we know from Breaking Bad and now El Camino, there are very few living characters in the Gene timeline that could give fans a meaningful, full-circle conversation as the series closes. Would you agree with the argument that Kim is the obvious choice for the final conversation with the Gene?
Seehorn: Honestly, I didn’t know I’d be alive this long. If I attempt to take myself out of the equation, which is super hard as an actor, I think the writers are always going to reach for the smartest ending.
Is it the most satisfying storytelling with Kim there at the end? Or is it not? I do agree with you that as a fan I want some resolution regarding Gene. Will we only get one more scene at the beginning of season six, or will it be expanded throughout that season? There’s another question for you.

AWAE Season 3 Finale Jumble of Thoughts
- Winnie’s scenes were done so well and I feel like she got the moments that she so deserved. Her feelings were shown and she also had the chance to remind us that even while hurting she is still so kind and classy.
- My heart fucking lurched when Diana was sick with sadness and grief over her parents still controlling her life and being so terribly dismissive.
- Matthew, you little radish full of feelings oh my god. You need a massive bear hug from Anne and a direct portal to be able to see your girl. Actually, scratch that, we’re moving Queens to Green Gables. Congratulations on becoming the tenured Prof of Agriculture.
- Jerry moving in (despite the part this played in masking feelings and hurting Anne) is amazing and we need this in Season 4. And his family needs to visit all the time.
- Ms. Stacy if you cry, I’ll cry. Don’t fucking do this to me Muriel.
- Bash’s leap and sprint had me so concerned. I was convinced for a moment that his mother and Delphine had some sort of awful accident and his Papa-powers were activating for him to rush to their aide. Elijah’s appearance in the field was welcome anyway but especially because I was so worried it was something terrible. My own life has demonstrated that that kind of reaction on a farm almost always means danger or the animals got out (and there was no cussing so it definetley wasn’t the second option).
- On that note: Elijah, you broke your mother’s heart but you’re going to try your best to mend it and I’m so proud of you. Welcome back to the family. I hope you like apples.
- GILBERT’S LETTER OH LORD MY HEART. WHEN THIS BOY GOES HE GOES ALL OUT.  And I know things worked out in the end but a moment of silence for the fact that Anne didn’t get the chance to read the words “my Anne with an e”. I’m sure she’ll enjoy hearing them just as much some day, but still, that letter was cute af and it’s loss will be mourned.
- Every interaction between Anne and Marilla & Matthew and then Ms. Barry and Cole and Elijah and Bash and Hazel and Gilbert all I heard was a refrain of WE ARE FAMILY.
- The girls being so excited about Queens and their boarding house and the potential for college hijinx next season has me buzzzzzzzing.
- Diana Barry you absolute badest of the badasses. I’m bowing to you. What a legend. That bff necklace you have on should shine with an eternal golden light because holy hell did you ever come through. Also I’m so proud and happy for you baby. Enjoy Queens and know that you deserve this so much.
- Marilla leading Matthew on multiple adventures in the cities has me feeling so happy and pleased for them. They are the cutest cutes to ever cute.
- The book of flowers already had me screeching from just seeing the cover. The hearing that Mama Shirley was a teacher too made me coo. And then Anne’s reaction to it was amazing. I was also happy and smug af when she got to the drawing of Bertha and realized they have the same hair because our girl can’t say it’s not beautiful now. We’re a small population, we gotta appreciate our red hair and be proud. Stand tall Anne-girl.
- THE KISS. THE KISSES. AHHHHHHHHHH. Not what I thought we would be getting. I was fully prepared to happily wallow in angst and the particular brand of homicide-inducing frustration that romantic miscommunication brings on. But that opportunity was axed and I’m 100% okay with that.
- Anne in that dress with that hair in that light has me :O and I’m proud of Gilly-boy for not just dropping to his knees and weeping in joy. His actions were so much more dignified and smooth than what he should have been able to pull off in the face of that and I’m impressed as all get out.
- The pen pals concept works so well for this and even though I could die happy with this being the end if the awful outcome of no season 4 happens I also REALLY, REALLY, REALLY WANT A SEASON 4.

Wumptober 2019 Day 21 – Laced Drink Word Count: 2310 Author: Katie/Ally (scentedbygunpowder) Rating: T Characters: Riza Hawkeye, Heymans Breda, Roy Mustang, Jean Havoc, Vato Falman, Kain Fuery Summary: An undercover mission almost goes horribly wrong when someone laces Riza’s drink. Notes:  These are just all going to be drabbles I can expand on later. Warnings: Warning for near-assault. Don’t worry, nothing happens but it’s a close thing.
Laced Drink
~*~
Not all plans go according to plan. In fact, most don’t. That’s why it’s good to have a plan, and a back-up plan, and another back-up plan. But sometimes the plans go so awry so fast that you don’t have time to realize it until it’s too late to pull from a totally unrelated plan to adjust for the changes. And that is when bad things usually happen.
Riza Hawkeye had plans. She had always had plans. From the time she was a girl she had had plans. Most of those had been plans of how to do things without bothering her father, because she didn’t like disturbing him, but they had been plans. As an adult her plans were often more things like when she was going to do laundry, what to get from the store, how to stay safe while going out and having some fun. As a soldier her plans were often things such as finding the possible escape routes in any room she entered, eyeing places that snipers could be, and getting the Colonel to do his paperwork. Sometimes her plans got more specific, like when on a mission, and she often had plans on top of plans for that.
This had not been high up in consideration for her plans.
“Come on, sweetie, it’s not much further now.”
She tried to move, tried to push him away, or even respond, but all she got out as a mumbled “Mmm,” which was not very helpful. His arm was around her waist, and he had her arms slung over his shoulders, so he could hold her to him. She could tell that the skirt of her short red dress was riding up on the side he was on, and she couldn’t fix it. Her heels were getting all scuffed up too, and her loose hair was hanging in her face.
Riza didn’t understand how this happened. She was always so careful, even doing this undercover job she had done her best to be careful. But somehow this creep, who wasn’t even their target, had managed to lace her drink with something, and was now carting her off to who knows where. And whatever the stuff was that he gave her, it was getting stronger. She was having trouble concentrating now.
She had to do something.
She was armed, but unfortunately, that didn’t mean much when she couldn’t control her own body. Surely one of the men had seen her get taken or noticed that she was missing. Fuery was on look out, monitoring communications. Havoc, who, it turned out, could play an instrument surprisingly well, was in the small band this place kept. Falman was pouring drinks. Breda was outside, scouting out the area. And Roy was a patron, flirting with the pretty girls.
One of them had to see her go missing.
They were outside now, in the back alley. She wasn’t even sure how they had gotten there. It had garbage and trash cans, and the man had now shifted her from a pretend  helping grip to something a little more economical.
“You know, toots, for a looker, you’re heavier then you look.”
Toots. Barry the Chopper had called her that. Honestly, right now, she wouldn’t have cared if he had showed up to take this man down. How sad was that, that she would be alright with a deranged serial killer coming to her rescue. The man looked around, and then plopped her down in a bundle of trash bags between two dumpsters.
“Gonna have to take a break—Ride’s not here anyway, and it’s better to stay hidden.” He grinned at her, and Riza felt her blood run cold. “But while we’re waiting, a little look can’t hurt, can it?”
No. No! Riza tried to move, managed a faint sound with her voice and a twitch of one wrist. Where were the guys? They had to be here! They had to be nearby! The man reached for her skirt, sliding it up, and Riza panicked. But her panic did nothing for her, except cause her to breathe harder. He looked puzzled for a moment, then reached, pulling her gun out of her hidden thigh holster. He grinned again.
“Good thing I laced your drink extra. You didn’t respond as quick as the others and I had to add more. If I hadn’t you might have been able to get to this.”
He put it to the side, and then reached back towards her. She felt tears forming in the corners of her eyes. His hand had just touched her thigh when there was an unmistakable sound of his skull being cracked. His eyes rolled up in his head, and he pitched forward, partially landing on her. It would have been more, if the figure behind him hadn’t grabbed him up and pulled him back. It was Breda, and Riza had never been more happy to see the man in her life. He distastefully dropped the man to the side, then immediately turned his attention to Riza.
“Lieutenant!” There was worry and concern in his eyes, and she tried to respond, but couldn’t beyond a faint sound and twitch again. Comprehension bloomed in his eyes, and it was quickly followed by anger. “I’m going to pull your skirt down, sir, and then I’m going to get you out of here.”
She appreciated him telling her what he was going to do. He gently and respectfully pulled her skirt back down, and tucked her small pistol into his own pocket. The man he tied and gagged, and put into the dumpster, closing and locking it. Riza had watched him as best she could, although it was getting harder and harder to focus. He finally turned back to her, and stopped, a look of surprise on his face, quickly coupled with compassion. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his handkerchief, wiping her eyes.
“It’ll be alright, Hawkeye. I’m going to get you somewhere safe.” He stripped off his jacket, and carefully sat her up, having to hold her that way as she had no control herself. He wrapped it around her, and then picked her up, determination on his face. “We’re going to get you some help, Lieutenant. Just hang on.”
It was becoming harder for her to concentrate. But she knew she was safe, even as the world swirled around her.
After that, things came in fits and bursts. Panicked and angry voices were the thing that she heard the most. Kain’s worried voice, and then it’s uncharacteristic anger. Quiet anger from Falman, who snapped out a few choice words. Disbelief and then anger from Havoc, and the knowledge that he was holding her hand, brushing her bangs back. And then Roy’s voice, filled with rage and deep with worry as he was suddenly there at her side, holding her hand tightly, clipped tones promising retribution. She had glimpses of them too, worried faces and anger in their eyes.
She wasn’t sure how much time had passed before the worry became worse, and she could feel herself being moved again. The world swirled once more, and this time she couldn’t say or do anything. Nothing seemed right, everything seemed wrong, and the last she remembered was worried voices calling out her name.
Riza blinked her eyes open in the daylight. It was coming in a window nearby her bed. Only this wasn’t her bed. It took her a moment to realize that she was in a hospital bed. She blinked again, and realized the five pairs of worried eyes were looking at her. Her team. Her boys. They looked like they hadn’t slept, still in clothes from last night’s undercover operation.
“Hawkeye?”
It was Roy’s voice, and she turned her head to look at him. He was sitting the closest to her. He picked up her hand. “Hawkeye, can you squeeze my hand?”
She blinked at him. “…sir?” her voice was little more than a scratchy whisper.
“Just do it.”
She complied, squeezing his hand, and he looked relieved.
“What happened?” she asked.
“What do you remember?” Roy asked her.
She thought for a moment. “Breda was there—no, before that. There… there was a man. He was—“ she cut off as what had nearly happened came back to her, and she sucked in a breath, looking at Roy, and then at the others in the room, noting the various reactions of anger to that statement. “He… I think there was something in my drink. He was—he was going to—“
The thought of what almost happened sent a wave of panic through her again, and she felt her breath picking up drastically, and tears coming to her eyes again. Immediately worried, the boys jumped into action, helping to get an oxygen mask on her, and one of them taking care of the tears. She wasn’t sure it helped the panic, but it didn’t hurt it, at least. But still, she wasn’t one to panic, and she looked to all of them for answers.
“Last night,” Mustang started explaining, “that man put something in your drink. It was nearly triple a typical dose.”
“It was a paralytic,” Falman cut in. “One designed to cut nerve responses, typically to the voluntary nerves. In high doses, though, it can affect the involuntary nerve responses as well.”
“You had a high dose,” Mustang continued. “And the man was quick. He had you up and out of there almost before any of us could see you.”
“I could from the bandstand, though,” Havoc said. “And faked a coughing attack enough to get out of it. I made a beeline for the bar, supposedly to get a drink, but something didn’t feel right. I told Falman to bag the drink, and then I went to the back to put in a call to “Katlyn” there.” He indicated Kain.
“He told me to watch for you, because something wasn’t right, and to let Lieutenant Breda know. “ Fuery said.
“Meanwhile I had noticed something was wrong, but I wasn’t sure what yet. Only that you weren’t there, and Havoc looked serious,” Roy said.
“I started to look around for you,” Breda said, his face serious. “He picked a good hiding space.” A fist clenched, burning anger in his eyes. “I’m just glad I got there when I did. I wish I could have been there sooner.” He took a breath, clearly tempering his anger. “When I found you, he had your skirt flipped up and had you disarmed. He was clearly ready to go further, but I hit him with the butt of my gun. After that I put your skirt back down, took care of him, and picked you up, bringing you back to the apartment we were using. You were pretty out of it.”
“The Lieutenant explained to me what had happened, and I put a call into the bar to let the other’s know.” Fuery said, face serious, jaw set.
“I was able to leave first, faking the call as being from my sister,” Falman said. He was moving a little more stiffly then normal, and Riza could see his hands holding tightly to the edges of his sleeves.
“The band was through for the night shortly after that, and I left as well,” Havoc put in. His arms were crossed lazily over his chest, but it was clear to see the tension and anger to them. “It… It wasn’t easy seeing you like that, Riza.”
“I was the last to arrive,” Mustang said, before she could ask Havoc what he meant. “It was all I could do not to go torch that man there and then. Especially when you got worse.”
“Worse? What did I look like?” She asked, clearly confused. She knew that she couldn’t move, but she had no idea what she looked like.
“You weren’t moving, Hawkeye,” Havoc put in. “You weren’t moving, weren’t responding. Your eyes were partially open, but it was as if you weren’t there.” He paused for a moment, as if gathering himself. “And then your breathing started to slow.”
“Falman was the one who noticed it,” Fuery put in. “He said you weren’t breathing as fast. That’s when we decided to get you to a hospital.”
“Oh. What happened?”
Roy was looking at her now, pain in his eyes. “Remember what Falman said about the doses? Well you were given enough that it could have shut down every nerve in your body, no matter where it was. That process was starting. Fortunately, the hospital had something to help counteract it. They said you should be safe, but you might have some residual effects for a bit.”
“And the man?” she questioned.
“He’s been taken in,” Breda said, “on charges of drugging and kidnapping, and charges of attempted murder and rape,” he almost stumbled over that one, and all the men in the room tensed. Riza would have too, if she had felt she had the energy to, “of a military officer. He’s not getting out for a while.”
“And neither are you, Lieutenant,” Mustang said. “You’re going to stay here until you’re given the all clear by the medical staff.
He looked her hard in the eyes, expecting her to argue, but for once she didn’t want to. It was a shocking experience, and while it wasn’t where she wanted to stay, the hospital was a safe place. He still had her hand, and she gave it a squeeze.
“I think this time, I’m not going to argue.” She gave them all a dimmed smile. “Thank you. For coming to my rescue.”
Her boys just smiled at her, relief, worry, and anger still in their eyes. They were her boys, and she was their Lieutenant—and they were always ready to protect her if needed.

Anne With an E Season 2
My takes on the second season of the Anne of Green Gables adaptation on Netflix.
Queer High Society
Tumblr media
Ms. Josephine Barry’s winter party is a room full of queer people frolicking and celebrating one another, and I love it! It’s so interesting to see a period piece that doesn’t shy away from representing non-white, non-cis, non-straight individuals. Too often, when there’s no representation, writers/directors/creators will cite, “Oh, that wasn’t out in the open in those times.” Well yeah, but clearly as displayed in Anne With an E, it can go on in the privacy of one’s home. Also, they weren’t being super secretive about it, and definitely not worried about “tainting” the children (my biggest fondness for that episode). They were just like, living their best lives, being out and comfortable together. I don’t know what those characters get up to in their daily lives out in the world, but at least for this party, they were present and together and unafraid. Just because it wasn’t happening out in the open in those times, doesn’t mean they all spent their time hidden away 24/7 never living full lives.
This is Now a Cole Mackenzie Stan Blog
Tumblr media
Netflix has blessed us with this pure and precious cinnamon roll. Cole Mackenzie (played by Cory Grüter-Andrew) is not a canon character from the books, but he has quickly stolen my heart. His inclusion to the cast of characters has been an absolute stroke of brilliance. Making him a sweet little queer kid just warmed my heart so much. It’s hinted at early on that he’s “not like other boys.” His character his given feminine qualities, and he’s shown to get along real well with Anne and her friends. For this, he gets abhorrent treatment from the other boys and the teacher (I hate him so much I can’t remember his name). I could go on and on, but anyway, I love Cole!
Gilbert and Sebastian “Bash” Lacroix
Tumblr media
I have mixed feelings about this character dynamic and inclusion. Sebastian is another character not from the books, but it’s been clear from the beginning that Netflix is going off book (heh). On the one hand, I appreciate that the creators tried to include some people of color into a very white, Canadian story and cast of characters. I see they do their best to include details and stories that show the white characters (mostly Gilbert) the privilege they have, and their own racism. On the other hand, there’s quite a bit of Gilbert as the white savior that I don’t feel great about. From the moment they showed the character with Gilbert at the beginning of the season, I thought, “Uh oh, we’re gonna get a rescue you from the dredges of your life as a former slave in a white world story, aren’t we?” To their credit, they add some depth with Bash’s struggle among other black people in The Bog, where he wanted to live to be with his own people. It’s hard to balance, but I think this show is genuinely trying.
Anne Amps Up the Feminism
Tumblr media
I don’t know if anyone was bothered by the feminist aspect in season 1, but boy howdy if they were, are they in for a ride in season 2. Anne starts going all out, covering topics from rape culture and consent, to the marriage institution, to gender roles, and beyond. This girl is feminist af and doesn’t give a fuck who knows. Seriously, if you’re not watching Anne With an E, you should be.
