Character I'm currently feeling the love for: Jay Garrick
#He and Joan are just the sweetest omfg#that cute old couple that everyone loves#he was Barry's hero growing up (so much so that Barry named himself the Flash after Jay)#and when Barry finally met Jay he was worried he had offended jay by taking his name because he didn't feel worthy of it#and jay was immediately like 'you're my son now'#Jay and Joan never had kids of their own but they've made it their business to be everyone's parents/grandparents and it's very lovely#and his friendship with the JSA?? Ted and Alan in particular?? wholesome af#it was implied recently that Alan came out to some of the JSA (which I assume means Ted and Jay) back in like the 50s#which was peak Mccarthyism lavander scare time#and Ted and Jay were accepting of him#I don't read JSA comics but I love them okay#Jay and Joan have been married for like 70 years and they're still so in love with each other it brings me great joy#his stupid little helmet is so cute#he tips his helmet at every person he saves even though he's moving too fast for them to see because he's just polite like that#he's old fashioned in a cute way rather than a racist/sexist/homophobic way#jay garrick#dc comics#the flash
