Legends S1 AU where Mick is well aware that Len's having a bit of an identity crisis and also a massive crush on the Flash. So he's not expecting Len to be at his best Master Thief behavior from the get go.

When they inevitably get into an argument about how the team is being treated and Mick wanting to go home before the Savage Kill party is over, it devolves into Mick accusing Len of not knowing if he wants to prove the Flash right or wrong about himself and if he'd just admit he's having a crisis because he wants to fuck the twink superhero (and then do something about it), they probably wouldn't be having this problem with Rip's Legendary Asshole behavior now. Len walks out. Won't dignify Mick with a response.

Of course, this argument was had in front of the rest of the crew. Lightbulbs are going off over Martin and Jax's heads as they realize why Barry's so weird about Len. Ray is blinking in shock like a baby deer in the headlights of an oncoming car (Mick is smirking at him - Mick is the car). Kendra decides she does not want more details; Sara decides she does. Rip realizes there are things he doesn't want to know about his heroes (Barry) and violently represses.

(Gideon already knows how thing are gonna resolve for Barry and Len down the road, but finds the journey more entertaining than expected. Resolves to ask her STAR Labs counterpart for the Team Flash side of the gossip.)

L.M. Montgomery works & Gilmore Girls parallels

Once I made an Anne of Green Gables related post (I don't remember which one it was) and it got reblogged by someone with a Gilmore Girls url. It was then that it hit me, AOGG, or generally L.M. Montgomery (will shorten it to LMM from now on) works would be enjoyed by people who also like Gilmore Girls. Sure, one is contemporary, the other historical, but there are some parallels. When I started thinking about it, I couldn't stop, so here I give you my list of LMM/GG parallels (note when I say LMM I mostly mean Anne, as it's the series I know the details of best):

Stars Hollow is LMM-typical place name and that you may tie to

tight-knit community settings

ambitious young heroines

the Rory/Paris rivalry is a lot like the Anne/Gilbert rivalry

Rory and Lane are bosom buddies just like Anne and Diana

slow burn romance: Anne x Gilbert and Lorelai x Luke

typical way of talking: GG has that fast dialogue, Anne talks a lot

accidents: Rory got into a car accident with Jess, Anne almost drowned in the lake (though in Anne's case her love interest was the one to save her, while Rory's love interest kinda got her into that)

men work around the house for women they're infatuated with: Luke fixes things for Lorelai. Now, I'm not sure if Gilbert does any such work for Anne, but in Anne of Avonlea, when Anne is dreaming up her house of dreams for the first time (when she still imagines her beloved to be a tall dark emo king), Gilbert somehow manages to get into her fantasy, helping her arrange pictures and lay out gardens. In Avonlea people likely helped each other with jobs/tasks, so it might not mean anything, still it's interesting that Anne saw him doing that, it was more subconscious than anything

difficult parents/grandparents/caregivers: oh boy. I insist that many of the caregivers in LMM books are straight up abusive (Emily's aunts Elizabeth and Ruth, but also in the case of some of the minor or side characters, such as Little Elizabeth in Anne of Windy Poplars, where it's made more clear), but okay, if you don't want to go that far, at least you have to admit that often they were very difficult. So are Emily and Richard Gilmore. And Lane's mum is mega strict. With the Gilmores too, they have this pride and if LMM knew anything, it was family clans and traditions.

Worldbuilding/Etc: My Soulmate AU [1]

-My asks are open, so feel free to send asks if you want me to make a post abt something specific in this AU, whether mentioned in this post or otherwise

-In a reincarnation scenario, soulmates can change. In the case of Kendra and Carter, theirs have never changed before, so in most lives they believed that theirs could never actually change. This is wrong. Kendra's soulmate is not Carter Hall

-Connected to above: It is so extremely rare that people don't even think it's possible in some areas, but sometimes someone can have a soulmate but not be their soulmate. Which can be an interesting time for everyone involved, especially if there are romantic feelings in the mix

-Mick Rory does not currently have a soulmate, and has no memories of every having one. He has oft thought fire to be his soulmate, in a way, because watching the flames makes him feel warm, like there are flames under his skin

-^^in a synesthesia way not a horny way. Please do not be weird about the fire, I'm just a little guy (/lh)

-People can sometimes get a new soulmate after theirs died, but it's not overly common in the mortal communities. Much more common in the immortal circles

-Soulmates of time travelers can use heartbeat and what they know of their partner to figure out if they're talking to the version of their partner who is synced with their part of the timeline, or if they're from the past/future

-Having multiple soulmates simultaneously is possible, and can make some things confusing/fun

-Iris and Eddie are soulmates, but they took forever to tell each other their suspicions bc they didn't want to look like they were moving too fast or pressuring the other into anything

-The author of this AU keeps trying to give Barry 2 platonic soulmates on top of his soulmateship with Snart, but is actively choosing not to even when their brain is pouting about it

-Caitlin's soulmate is Ronnie Raymond. She's had... a time.

-Lisa had a soulmate, who she met when she was fifteen and they were dating until she was 16. This was another girl her same age, who lived in her neighborhood. Unfortunately, she died when they were 16, and Lisa took a while to come even close to recovering from that

-Lisa is especially attracted to Cisco because she thinks he also does not have a soulmate. He... technically does... but they aren't together right now and there doesn't seem to be any future plans of them being together, so he has forced the possibility out of his mind and pretends he doesn't have one

-Mark and Clyde Mardon are an example of platonic soulmates who are siblings

-Joe's soulmate was not his wife and he knows who they are, but he firmly Does Not Talk About Them. Iris and Barry both firmly know that topic is Completely Off Limits and never bring it up

-Hartley hasn't knowingly met his soulmate yet. They're still alive! So maybe one day they'll meet

-Fun Fact: Hartley once thought that his soulmate might be Dr. Wells, because the man seemed to have an eerie ability to track his emotions, but eventually realized that was wishful thinking and that this was definitely not the case

-Barry knew he and Snart were soulmates before Snart knew Barry Allen was the Flash. He didn't know how to approach this, so this led to him just turning Golden Retriever energy to 11 and hoping for the best

-Time travel and dramatically changed timelines can alter soulmate connections ^-^

-People are more likely to be soulmates with people in their general region than otherwise, but it is rarely possible to have a soulmate across the world

-There are "Find My Soulmate" apps where people can be like "Hey I had a panic attack at this time and it lasted for x minutes, did anyone feel that?" or "Hi! I play soccer, has anyone had elevated soulmate heart rate consistently on these days and times as if said soulmate is engaging in physical activity?" and other such things

-Sometimes when a person on a sports team meets a person through those apps who almost CERTAINLY is soulmates with a member of their sports team, they all run experiments together to make sure it's the right one

-If a time or dimension traveler without a soulmate time/dimension travels, there is a small chance they can become soulmates with a non-soulmate-haver in the area. Which can make things fun and spicy for everyone involved!

-Eobard Thawne had a soulmate in his future, but he killed them because the bitch got ISSUUEESS

-^^He was always on the lookout for that telltale heartbeat, in case the time travel fuckery gave him a new soulmate. It never did. But there was someone that he had wished, for sometime, that he would be given that connection with. It's so much better for the other person that it never did. (It couldn't have, really, bc their soulmate was still alive technically, but it's Really Good that it didn't nonetheless)

-Joe had really really wanted Iris and Barry to be soulmates, ever since they were little kids. And he didn't completely handle it well when he learned, without a shadow of a doubt, that they were not.

A/N: Hellooo from the ether here of trying to come back from a bad time. I've been wanting to come back to this for a month now after almost a year hiatus and here it finally is! Hope you all enjoy this!

You glanced back and forth between Rory and Professor Stein, feeling a sense of bewilderment and uncertainty wash over you.

Anachronism?

Sara seemed to have read your mind. "Lately we've been dealing with anachronisms," she let out a tired sigh, "It's people and things displaced throughout time."

Oh great.

This day just kept getting better and better.

Iris scowled, already annoyed, as she asked, "OK but why would Nazis from 1945 want to crash my wedding?"

Sarah blew a frustrated breath through her lips and shrugged. Who knows?

Rory, on the other hand, regarded Iris with a serious expression. "Crab legs," he said with mischievous smile, "they were absolutely delicious." Iris rolled her eyes but couldn't help but smile and you giggled.

Alex glanced up thoughtfully, "Iris has a point, though," she began to walk in the middle of the room trying to piece together what little information they had, "If they were out of time, they would've targeted the military or law enforcement."

You nodded in agreement, recognizing the logic in it. After all, most troublemakers were drawn to places where they could obtain something valuable in return, rather than a random wedding.

"Tommy was plucked five years ago and put into Prometheus Wardrobe?" Felicity asked skeptically. "That doesn't make any sense."

None of this made any sense. You glanced over to the other side of the room at Harry who had seemingly zoned off.

"It does if we're not dealing with anachronisms," Caitlyn chimed in.

That could only mean one thing.

"Visitors from another Earth?" You and Barry asked in unison.

"Jinx," you said out of habit and Barry gave you a goofy smile.

Jefferson appeared puzzled as he looked at the two of you. "Woah. There are more than one?"

Kara nodded as she crossed her arms. "There are 52, actually."

Wonderful. You knew there were more Earths out there, Harry had mentioned a thing or two before but 52? That was a lot to grasp.

With an exasperated sigh, Professor Stein paused briefly before speaking: "Though I'm hard pressed to think of one where Nazi are ascendant."

"I can."

You jumped, not realizing Harry had moved right next to you and was now leaning on the door frame. He offered you a sheepish smile. "Sorry I didn't mean to scare you."

You felt your cheeks flush as you struggled to process the fact that he was standing so close to you. "It's okay."

He lifted his gaze back to the rest of the room, his gentle smile replaced with an expression of seriousness. "There's a 53rd Earth," he paused, "It's called Earth-X."

As you watched the video on the screen, your eyes widened in disbelief. You couldn't wrap your head around what you were seeing - an alternate reality where the Nazis had emerged victorious, and the world was engulfed in darkness and despair. The scale of devastation was almost too much to bear as you looked away. Harry noticed your uneasiness and gently placed a hand on your shoulder, giving it a light squeeze. You turned to look at him, and as your eyes met, he gave you a small, reassuring smile.

"It doesn't have a designation," he waited until everyone had looked away from the screen before speaking again, knowing that they needed a moment to process what they had just seen, "It's a place so awful, so horrific, no sane person would ever travel there." His hand left your shoulder and found its way to yours, fingers lightly brushing against each other. You laced your hand with his as he continued to speak. "It's basically our Earth- same history, same timeline- with one crucial and critical difference."

"So let me hypothesize," Professor Stein sighing before continuing, "The Nazis developed the atomic bomb before the United States did, and they were more than happy to use it."

Harry gave your hand a squeeze, "Yes. The Nazis won the war, and New York, London, Moscow Paris- all obliterated." He let go of your hand as he used them to explain. "The SS set up outposts not only throughout Europe but also throughout the Americas and Hitler continued his brutal reign, aided by Prime Ministers and Presidents sympathetic to him until his death in 1994."

"Now they're not just happy ruling one Earth," you heard Felicity said but your focus had shifted back to Harry who's hand had rejoined it place with yours and he was intently listening to Felicity. His cheeks were still tinted red, whether from you or the long winded talked he had just given, and he had loosened up his suit, unbuttoning the two top buttons of his dress shirt. Only he could still look good even whe-

Kara's urgent voice shattered your thoughts, "We have to find them!" Harry caught your gaze, arching an eyebrow when he realized you hadn't been paying attention. Your flushed cheeks and widened eyes betrayed where your focus had really been. He gave you a cheeky smile and you looked away, embarrassed. How could have been doing, whatever that was, instead of listening to how the hell you were going to take down the freaking Nazis that had just invaded this Earth?

You shook your head, as if to banish the inappropriate thought that had just occupied your mind. Barry's determined voice cut through your thoughts, "Let's get to work on finding our new friends from Earth X." With a deep breath, you and Harry locked eyes, silently agreeing to set aside any distractions and focus on the mission at hand. You both nodded, ready to track down these scumbags.

This is a short chapter but I promise the next one will be long and full of exciting events between the beloved reader (you!) and harry and Eobard!
