we joked so much about worldwide!Angel being divorced that I decided to make it official lmao. Highest ranking cultist ever thanks to having MARRIED the Prototype, Raphael fleed the cult around 10 years ago and is now training space riders using the same combat techniques they used to teach in the cult. i like to think the reveal was super dramatic for the main critters, esp Dogday, who saw Raphael as his mentor and maybe even a parent. Z probably tried to murder them after that, which, tbh, same, and then important conversations happened and they came to a mutual understanding of each other. Raphael isn't letting the cult touch any of their kids (they're all adults) (Raphael didn't even adopt them) (they're the cause of the space riders' problems).

Iago stares at forward, at some point above Amatista's shoulder, unblinking, not daring to so much as glance anywhere else for fear of seeing just how horrific they look. They never get dirty in a fight. They make a point not to. They can't handle it. This time was different - they were caught off-guard, pinned to the floor, and thankfully saved by their brother promptly cleaving their attacker in half.

All well now, after the fight. They were hardly injured, they were safe, the job was very efficient all in all. But they were drenched in gore.

They sat still other than the tremor in their fingers while Amatista takes their hands. Normally, they could manage this on their own. It's not the first time they've ended up in more viscera than desired ( the Bhaalists used to delight in a game of locking them in the oubliette or dunking them in the bloodpools and seeing who could escape without being burned alive in the aftermath ). But it was a lot.

"Just- if you could just help me clean my hands, that's all, I can deal with the rest." They devolve into a ramble, too quiet for anyone but Amatista to hear it, "The hands, first, so I can actually clean the rest of it off without simply spreading it around, I always make sure to clean the hands first. I can feel it on my face but if I touch it now, I'll only make it worse. And I need my hands to wash my hair, it's in my hair, too, and my clothes, but I can take care of that if you just get it off my hands, please-"

I was expecting a lot of things this last D&D session my party played-- but finding out that my CLERIC OF ELDATH was ACTUALLY A MASS-MURDERING PALADIN OF IYACHTU XVIM WASN’T ONE OF THEM.

Holy shit it was so cool. Have to say, playing a D&D game where not even the players know what their real backstories are is a bunch of fun.

And! In honor of my character’s complete and sudden class and background, I drew up a new, spooOoOpy Icon for him in Roll20. (Partially traced off of Gilbert’s face from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, because my old icon was him photoshopped with a fishing mug.)

Secret Histories / Grail!

Secret Histories - An event from the muse's past whether it be fleetin reminiscence or a grand event There's a knock at the door of her flat and Imogen answers with a polite "Yes officer?" They tell her of a murder on the other side of the city and ask if she's familiar with a certain Dr Dekker. "I've heard the name once or twice but I don't believe we've ever met." They explain the situation. Dr Dekker has been murdered and they need someone to go in for them and help figure out who did it. She came highly recommended. "I feel I should inform you, officer, that I only fully qualified in the last few months. Shouldn't you be reaching out to someone more qualified?" Should be fine. There's going to be supervision the entire time. "...alright fine, I'll do it." Privately, she felt they were making a huge mistake hiring someone who had only just qualified and graduated and had no undercover or interrogation training.

Grail - What are the muses desires? Imogen is a simple woman. Her only desire to get by in the world and she happens to find some satisfaction in helping people work through their problems. Working as a therapist pays well enough, it's still a downgrade from what she grew up with but she has savings and she gets by without trouble. And in more recent months, there's the desire to get through life completely ignoring the Elder Patron she was chained to without her permission.
