Long rambling incoming in 3,2,1...

I know that I'm not really any kind of big celebrity in the Stobotnik world. The only thing I've got going for myself is the fact that I've been there since the very beginning, with my one 'I'm so proud of this community' Meme getting a like or two every full moon or so. It's also been a hot second since I've written a Stobotnik Fic, and yet, I've never really left the fandom. Far from it.

So boooooy, when that trailer dropped, let's just say, I've been going wild! That being said, I have calmed down a tiny bit and woud like to share my two cents with you all.

Especially since, considering how gay the trailer was, I've noticed people kind of leaning into either of two camps.

Team 1: They might actually make it canon y'all. This is not a drill!!!!

or

Team 2: This is the most intense queerbaiting I've ever seen, but fuck it, take my money!

Now, I will tell you where I'm standing at the end of things, but let's talk facts before I do, shall we?

I know Jim & Lee were having fun on set during Movie 1, but I doubt either of them expected us all to get quite this feral over these two evil man. In fact, I'm not sure what their plans were for Agent Stone in general. I'd love to believe that they saw us freaking the fuck out and decided to make Stone a big part of the sequels because of that. But then I look at the Robotnik Mushroom Planet scene and think: They gave this man an actual stone to hold onto, going so far as to carve Stone's face into said stone, just so he could pretend he wasn't alone and Stone was still with him. Clearly, Robotinik was never willing to admit that he cared, admit that there could be someone who he had allowed to get close, given that there had never been anyone before who had cared enough about HIM, so why should HE make the mistake of caring about someone else either. Cause, you know, it's easier to pretend there's noone than admit that there could be, just to realise that you were wrong actually. And yet. Despite all that he held onto Stone the stone, like his life depended on it. I love that scene because it's hella gay, but I love it even more because it's amazing writing, giving us the payoff for the forshadwed "I won't miss you when you're gone" scene from way back when. They didn't have to do that. And yet they made that choice. Included that moment for a reason. So I'd love to think that even back then, they were very willing to play with the dynamic of them going forward.

Clearly things and plans changed After Movie 1 , after we saw these two and made Stobotnik as big as it is. I'll talk about movie 2 in a hot second, but let's return to the way they promoted 2 first. Cause THAT was CLEARLY queerbaiting ... or was it... ? For you see, they knew what they were doing, they knew how to get us all excited , posting this on Valentine, letting Sonic make a heart, drawing the whole thing in a romantic light, going so far as to include bi-lighting in the trailer. On top of the latte art that was designed to get us queers to show up. I saw that art, freaked out and showed it to all of my friends. One friend, let's call her Barbara, smiled at me, like you smile at somone who still believes in the Easter Bunny and told me she hoped I knew they were playing with me. In fact, she was kind of dissapointed I allowed them to get to me so much. And I KNEW. I knew they were trying to bait me. I'm not stupid. This isn't the first time I've been queerbaited after all. And it won't be the last time, that's for sure. And yet, I didn't care because I loved that they acknowledged us. Loved that they were willing to give us something, even if it wasn't actually real and they were clearly NEVER going to include actual ship latte art of Stone & Robotnik together. Cause that would be gay. Haha. And those two totally weren't gay. Ain't I right? :)) Queer rep has gotten more common and yet, so has queerbaiting. Cause nowadays the chance that something could be actually made canon is way more likely than it was, let's say, 15 years ago. So companies love to use that, love playing into that even more. Like, do I have to remind you all what they were doing for the Deadpool & Wolverine movie marketing ??? Just saying.

As much as I love Lee and as much as we're loosing our marbels every time he as much as winks in our direction, I'll not be using any of his posts as evidence for the points I'm about to make further down. Cause, you know, at the end of the day, he's just one of us as well. Another shipper. A hella supportive shipper who may or may not have had a hand in the way he portrayed Stone, but still. Love you Lee. Thank you for having our back!

So now. Movie 2. And the godforsaken Maid Dress Scene. I hope we are all proud of ourselves. Cause that scene was our doing. I promise you, promise you!!! they didn't have that planned before the fandom happend. They saw us and were like "You can have this. As a treat :3". Personally I didn't freak out as much as the rest of you all, but I'm glad you guys had fun. It was a gift to us after all, so I guess it's fine if we enjoyed it. Jokes aside though, let's get back to what movie 2 did, even though they may or may not have realised it at the time. As in: They made Stobotnik canon. What do you mean by canon, Smartie?????, you might ask. And I'll answer, cause it's simple: I mean canon, as in canon. Yes, that's right. Stobotnik has been canon for a while... or... at least 50% of it. Let's get back to the Latte, shall we? Back then I thought they were making fun of us. Queerbaiting at it's finest. And then the movie happend and Stone confessed his love right then and there for the world to see, basically drawing fanart into Robotnik's caffe for who knows how long and Robotnik? That stupid -3000 IQ genius knew. He fucking knew!! Has always known and was either unwilling to read between the lines or mistook the affection for simple loyalty. Not-Spoiler: It's the later by the way, because we have that deleted scene. That beautiful deleted scene. But let's get back to the art for a second. Because I was basically dying in my seat. And I didn't think people were talking about it enough, cause it was the proof, not that stupid maid outfit that was simply put in as a joke that audiences were supposed to laugh at. But this. This! The whole scene were Stone was lovesick and heartbroken, drawing art of his lost non-lover, the way the life returned to his eyes the second said man returned, on top of literally all of him for the rest of the movie prooved one thing to me: Agent Stone was in love with Dr. Robotnik. It's clear he's never said so out loud, and for a good reason, but he didn't have to. It was so obvious anyone with an IQ lower than 299 could have seen. Just a shame that that one 300 IQ guy couldn't. So now, deleted scene time. Woopwoop. :P Recall how they had planned to make Stone even more in love and heart-eyed - JESUS CHRIST MY GUY - but went for an alternative scene instead? In case you aren't familiar with the scene, it's basically Stone telling Robotnik how he's followed his guide-lines, making the Stone Comic Canon, how he's made sure noone touched his babies, how he's known he'd return, how he's waited for him all this time cause he knew KNEW he'd come back and for a second there Robotnik doesn't know what to say. He looks that man in the eyes and for a split second he wonders, questions, and then... then he's scared. Scared of what that could mean. Scared that he could actually mean something to someone and he panics and decides to use violence to laugh it off, to refelect, to pretend that in that moment, he didn't actually feel something. That Stone didn't make him feel ... vulnerable. Because at that point, he cares too. He's not ready to admit it, at least not without having to joke about it. But he does. He does!! And the thought of it being mutual scares him. Probably more than anything ever has. Because if he allows this, this feeling to settle and bloom, he's got to admit that this, whatever it is, has the power to destroy and hurt him. And he can't do that. Maybe not again. Maybe not ever. Not now. Not now that he's what... 40? and has found peace with the fact that he'll die alone.

I know they were leaning into Stobotnik a lot, but they also... kind of didn't, following the natural consequences of the stuff they had set up in the prior movie, allowing Robotnik to go through an actual character arc. It's subtle, and he's still and asshole - always wil be - but that doesn't change the fact that his arc still exists and is actually very well done. Stone doesn't really have that obvious of an arc. Because it's not really much of an arc, we're just learning more about him, fleshing out his character. The only thing we know for certain is, that he adores and loves Robotnik and that he's willing to betray everyone and everything for him. Even if Robotnik never loves him back. He's accepted that, as long as he's alowed a place at his side.

And now, my fellow shippers, movie 3. Or rather, pre-movie 3. And the much discussed question: Are we getting queerbaited? Well, that depends how you define queerbaiting, doesn't it? Is it queerbaiting if it's unrequited love? Cause that's our current standpoint. Stone has found his doctor, nursed him back to health, lived with him, been by his side for months (years) and the only thing that is standing in their way now is: Robotnik's feelings. They have great build-up, put this man on a path, shown us how he's grown and now all that's left is to see, how they'll decide to finish his story. If I look at all that's happend up to this point, from a writing/writer stand-point, I'd say, that it would make sense for Robotnik to admit, that he cares. Cause that has been his arc, his journey. To admit that yes: He doesn't care about humanity, but he does care about Stone. Has for a very long while in fact. Be that platonic, or romantic. Doing literally anything else would not make sense at that point and would actually be an insult to their own work. And their writing has been pretty solid, so I'm confident we will get something. Especially since... I HAVE seen the leaks. Now, storyboards are just that. Something from early development, something that could change. Which is why I'd normally ignore them.... iiiiiiiif it weren't for that one line from the trailer. That one. fucking. line. That made me realise: Holy shit, those mad lads are doing it. They are finishing Robotnik's arc. That's when I understood why Team 1 was loosing their marbels. Because,

SPOILER!!!!! he is going to admi it. He is going to admit it to himself, and he's gonna do something so wild and crazy it scares me more than you understand. The only question is. Will he surive to tell the tale? And if he does, will he be brave enough to share that admission with Stone?

I don't have links to the storyboard. In retrospect, I should have saved them. But what's done is done. Not that I cod delete the knowledge of what I've seen even if I tried. People seem hesitant to tell people all they have seen, cause those of us who have, and know the Sonic 2 story seem to have a good understanding of what and when that spoiler is taking place. And especially what outcome it seems to be leading into. But, if anyone asks, I am willing to share what it was I saw. If you really wanna know. If you are truly sure.

That being said. How do I feel about Stobotnik? I don't think we're getting a kiss. But I think (and hope) we're gonna get a moment. A moment of Robotnik being open, of him sharing that Stone means somethig to him. They even have the potential to include a joke here, of Stone perhaps attempting to hug Robotnik, for him to allow it for 3 seconds or so, only for him to punch Stone and say something along the lines of: "Okay, that's enough." You know, something close to the High Five moment, just THIS TIME they actually do the high five (or hug). You can have the feels and the joke. It's still Robotnik after all. It's what I'm hoping for, actually, cause I don't think Robotnik is ready for THAT admission quite yet. A hug though? That I could see.

I know we still have to fight against being exploited and played with, but that being said, I don't think love confessions have to always be that huge thing, that clashing of tongues and body parts. They can also be soft and quite. A moment of vulnerability and trust. Of openness. In fact, if Robotnik were to allow Stone a hug, it would be even more impactful than a kiss could ever be. He's hugging Gerald in the trailer, so they have shown me that they are not afraid to make this man hug.

It gives me hope. And it - and the leaks - are the reason why I'm Team 1. I think we could actually get canon Stobotnik you all. And I'm so hyped you don't understand. Let's see what Stobotnik marketing they are going to feed us over the next few months. I, for one, am looking forward to it. ^-^

so the Sonic 3 trailer is out and I decided to go on and make a silly post and a small announcement

I have decided after much debate I will start officially making sonic art NOW KNOW I am new at drawing the sonic artstyle so the characters may look like something out of the shining or something cause I’m getting used to drawing them I done the same with the lmk style until I perfected it

Anyways I decided to ramble my thoughts on the trailer and why I love Sonic

now I am a sonic veteran I have drawn sonic before but when I was way younger but Sonic has stuck by me I remember back in the 2000s I used to watch sonic underground a lot on Netflix that’s how long ago it was I always loved sonic I loved the video games even own some sonic games myself!

my first one was sonic unleashed one of my favorite games I always loved and still love to this day the time where he was a werehog and sometimes I even wish he can go back to werehog sonic and plus it introduced me one of my comfort songs endless possibilities

I got way more into Sonic thanks to the anime Sonic X I didn’t watch the whole series cause it started to get weird but it was how I was introduced to shadow one of my favorite characters

I remember I was so intrigued I tried to find other content and then I found YouTuber named animebromii (who unfortunately is a…well piece of shit to sum it up he was one of those found out to get to close to kids type of YouTubers category but that was found out right after I stopped watching him) I remember his Sonic videos always made me filled with joy and made me love the characters more

although I stop getting into Sonic as fans started to get a little to weird for my taste and such and Sega didn’t know what the fuck they were doing

what rekindle my love for Sonic was well the Sonic movies and as I watch I remembered the joy I had for it and started to slowly get into Sonic again and explore more of it due to being more mature and such I turned out to have well a lot of unpopular opinion that I know will have a mob of angry Sonic fans chasing me with pitchforks

Just Some headcanons and ships I don’t agree on and such even some dislike on how Sega is going about like trying to make sonamy now NOTE I don’t mind sonamy hell as a kid I was one of the people who ship it or more specifically the werehog sonic x Amy (i saw so many AMVs and one of those story shits….you have no idea how much of a huge werehog sonic fan I was) but the reason it makes me uncomfortable cause I found out Sega have gave the group canon ages at one point….

which where Amy is 12 and sonic is 15 NOW I don’t know if this is true I haven’t seen proof and out of all honestly I personally think the ages shouldn’t have been confirmed cause well it feels like to me it fucks up the lore and a lot of ships people love and you could have your own headcanons and such for their ages and to me Sonic doesn’t feel like he is 15 to me like hell when I was younger I thought he was ALEAST 18 or 16

There is only few ships I feel comfortable with that is Elise x sonic and sonia x knuckles

now admittedly yes I maybe not the biggest Sonic fan I haven’t read any of the comics i haven’t played all the games hell sometimes I don’t know half of the characters sometimes but still I love Sonic with all my heart and I hope you guys enjoy this little adventure of mine of Sonic the hedgehog

As an IDW fan believe it or not, I do know how you feel, because I sometimes can’t even post funny quirky memes about my favorite idw characters without being told I’m a fake Sonic fan, there is nothing wrong with liking anything from Sonic that isn’t necessarily faithful to the games! If your friends are giving you a hard time for liking a movie they are not your friends! I’m sorry you have to deal with that.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I never thought the day would come where an IDW fan approached me with more consideration and basic decency than game fans. :P First time for everything, I guess.

For what it's worth, whenever someone's followed me and they have an IDW character as their avatar, I always feel bad because "yeah, you're probably not going to be following me for long lmao". Despite my endless layers of beef with the comic - which I should note is doubled by the fact that much like Prime, IDW is bizarrely treated as though it's canon to the game universe despite not actually being the case, which is very much not the situation with the movies and their fans, so that's an additional reason for why the changes in the movies bother me less by comparison - I don't go out of my way to take a piss on the fans who simply like it in their own space. It's always been the Flynn cultists (I don't use that word loosely: I held off on it for a long time because I didn't want to sound like a drama clickbait YouTuber, but with all their growing hijinks, I really struggle to think of a more accurate term for them now) that I have an legitimate issue with.

I already believed that the Sonic fandom (and Tumblr in general TBH) had a bad habit of jumping from one extreme to the other, never learning any valuable lessons all the while. Needless to say, this hasn't done much to dissuade that belief. It's actually one of the reasons why I had my 10 minute retirement period not so long ago: I didn't like how the fandom was shaping me, and I didn't like the way it was changing us. It's not a coincidence that during all this time, I've refused to advocate for intense gatekeeping, because while fandom tourists can certainly create undesirable and persistent complications, just look at Ian Flynn and the Encyclospeedia, that so-called solution is just way too disproportionate and overreaching for my personal comfort. I'm not going to say that I handle fandom affairs perfectly, I know I've made a mistake on occasion, but... I feel like nowadays, I'm being backed into a corner a lot more frequently between both sides of the equation. I don't know what I'm expected to do. I can be respectful, I can be sympathetic, but the one thing I can't do is mindlessly change how I feel about something artificially just so my stance is convenient enough for approval. And when you're always being talked down to like an idiot, no matter how many times you explain yourself, no matter how much leeway you give to them... well, maybe people were onto something about the hivemind accusations...

The worst part in the movie's case is that I knew going in that it was going to be a lose-lose scenario. Either I didn't like it, and thus I wouldn't be able to join in on other people's enjoyment, or I did like it, and thus I would become an enemy on sight for SA2 diehards, regardless of any nuance to my thoughts on it. I knew not everyone would like it, which is fine, but it seems the other way around is non-existent.

I don't know where I'm going with all of this, but tl;dr, I appreciate your understanding. :) I stand by my thoughts on influential adaptations that grind my gears, but outside of the aforementioned cultists and the obnoxious influence and behaviour of the Archie leftovers themselves (shout out to the Shadow scat edit), I'm trying to relax more otherwise, and I've been wondering if more folk could benefit from the same. If the guy who has to keep seeing headache-inducing Eggdad fanart everywhere can do it, anyone can.

My siblings, dad, and I watched the new Sonic movie last night in theatres, and here are my thoughts

(spoilers, duh)

The scene transitions were kinda jarring at moments and I feel like transitions from one plot point to another got to be a bit sudden

The "grandpa/grandson bonding" scene felt like a fever dream and a horror movie at the same time

The reunion of the Robotnics in general made me realize that that's how my sister views my creations and I now understand why she judges me so

Shadow really needs a chill pill and is very much a bit too much on the angst train

Every scene with Maria was a combination of 'why?' and 'awww!', but 'why?' in the sense that it was very accurate to what a pre-teen/young teen would do and tus well written, I just don't understand teenagers

I kept leaning over to my dad to fact check the Maria scenes with words like "did _______ exist in the 70s?" to which he would give a year, nay, or idk

The moment Tom gave his speech about moving on I knew it would get a callback during the final fight

The moment the star comment was made I knew it would also get a callback when Shadow inevitably turned his life around

The willingness to work as a team and utter effortlessness of said teamwork between Shadow and Sonic felt a bit rushed and unrealistic, but I can appreciate they just wanted to have cool moments and crap

Yes I might have kinda of freaked out big time when Shadow took off his power dampening bracelets, because look I used to be a Shadow fan back in the day

Every single moment on the sdpaceship I was giggling my head off thinking about the Eggman meme we all know and love

I was very happy with the credits scene where my girl showed up (was a big Amy fan in the day too)

We walked out of the theatre during the credits with me telling my siblings "the cardinal rule of movies is that unless you see their lifeless corpse for more than a second or so, and see that destroyed or buried, they're not actually dead, so don't believe that for a moment"

We did;t know there was a post credits scene until my brother ran up to me a couple hours later with it on his phone and told me there was more, at which point I was rightfully declaring that I called it

Haha! Yeah, these “leaks” are definitely something. 😂 Although, I am seeing some fans getting rather upset with some of them. Some of these leaks are so good that we’re having a hard time distinguishing them from real and clickbait. Not to worry, I can leave the latest “leaks” down below with a debunk source to them.

This is NOT meant to be a call-out post by any means, this is meant to be a list that y’all can refer to when looking for leaks yourselves.

The Shadow stand-in prop leaked on Instagram was DEBUNKED on Twitter. The Shadow prop is a skin found on Sketchlab. This is the same model that was DEBUNKED back in January.

The stand-in prop with Amy Rose, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles was DEBUNKED by the same leaker an hour later. It was meant to be a shit-post tweet.

The Shadow CGI leak on a movie theater screen was DEBUNKED by the original poster as well. It was also a shit-post meme for the friend group.

The claim to know a voice actor for Shadow by any means—along with saying, “DM me if you want to know”—is clickbait on Twitter. This should be a giveaway if the accounts are still up and functioning in less than 24 hours after making the claim. Now, a claim like THIS (John Campea) is much more reliable, and credible, due to the reputation he’s established in Hollywood/entertainment reporting.

I’m sure that there’s more all over Twitter and Reddit, but these are the current ones. If anything (and this is my speculation) we might get something during Summer Game Fest or San Diego Comicon. I propose those two possibilities because they’re the most hyped-up events for the summer season.

If you guys ever thought that my Sonic and Sonic.exe phase are bad.. just know, that..

My Minecraft phase was even WORSE as a kid.

NO- FR- I used to play the game so much on my mom's old computer, I accidentally got blown up by my first mob, which was a Creeper (because I genuinely thought it was harmless), I even got 2 Minecraft plushies (I think.?) And a Minecraft poster of a cat chasing a creeper. I used to have 2 posters, but one of them just didn't wanna stick on the wall, so my mom had to put it away because the corner were already ripped a bit. I even used to have this big Minecraft torch that I would put on my wall as a nightlight (but it eventually faded in light and had to be put away as well)-- hell, I even have a Minecraft bed sheet as well as 2 pillow covers for my 2 pillows (because I had a little Among us phase and now have a blanket, 2 plushies, and a pillow cover relating to that game- BUT WE DONT TALK ABOUT THAT ^^"). And if you think that isn't enough, I have 2 little figures of Alex and this... Blaze (I think thats what it was..? Idk), both of them in minecarts stored inside of the little pokeballs I have on the desk close to the mirror. I think I might have a few Minecraft related stuff hidden away, but I'm too lazy to think about them since I just woke up and started writing this-- but yea....

I even used to have the Minecraft Story Mode games, and even Minecraft on the Xbox because WHY NOT?! :]

Though.. I didn't play Minecraft on the Xbox as much since I was so used to the PC version, so it was a bit hard to control it.

Not only that, but the fact I used to hear fanmade Minecraft parody songs of popular songs at the time.... I used to hear so many parodies of my favorite songs, even the infamous "Don't Mine at Night" song 😭

I used to hear it so much that, now when I hear those said popular songs on the radio I always play when I'm asleep, I start to remember the lyrics of those Minecraft parody songs more than the actual songs playing on the radio WHICH- MIND YOU- ITS STILL MY FAVORITE RADIO STATION TO THIS DAY DESPITE THE OBVIOUS SUGGESTIVE SONGS💀😭

But they bring back old classics sometimes and even some good new songs, so its all good👍 (and hey, maybe even a bit of Disney songs at rare times, or maybe some songs that I've heard in animation memes- those are always fun to stumble into when listening to the same radio station for years, now.)

But uhmm.................

But I guess I can't say my Minecraft phase wasn't too bad, per se...? Because I did the same with My Little Pony, The Powerpuff Girls, Pokemon, Five Nights at Freddy's(that phase was.... hell, actually. I couldn't stop talking about the game to my parents- and because of the movie that came out a long time ago but is still recent- it boosted the little fnaf phase that i had left hanging by a thread due to my Sonic phase taking over, i got to buy fnaf merch as well--), Bendy and The Ink Machine(it was a bit minor, but it definitely did a very good impact to my phase with FNAF), Cuphead(again, i watched gameplay and started hearing cuphead fan songs over and over, and i even have both Cuphead games that i never finished- i think i used to have a comic dub phase where i would watch so many cuphead dubs as well as FNAF and Baldi's Basics), Just Shapes and Beats (again- i just watched so much gameplay, I even had an animation meme phase that lasted up to 2022, and played the Story Mode many times as well as making my parents play the multi-player mode with me :])-- Fandroid, and then there was a bit of Osu one day, then I went from Nightcore to hearing Vocaloid, and then FNF (which was just watching the gameplays of almost all of the fnf mods I knew as well as hearing some of the fnf mod songs over and over, which i still do! It's just... filled with demon hedgehogs that have a little word next to them called "EXE", so uhm... YEA-), and not only that, but fnf mods were actually the ones that introduced me to the Fleetway comics and even started my Sonic.exe phase (which I still have.......-) and then I eventually watched gameplay of the Sonic.exe fan games, too.)

So, uhm...

Me having a Sonic phase isn't exactly new...

But I'm back to buying merch. And when I say that, I mean like.. I got at least 3 T-shirts of this blue gumball son of a gun, 2 Shadow plushes, 3 Sonic plushes, a rectangle package that has at least 4 or 3 official Sonic art as frames to put on the wall (but I never did because the nails that I see in my room are kinda running out, so it's just sitting there on the floor, using the wall as support to keep it up), a little Sonic school pouch to put in my school stuff, some Sonic stickers--

I think it's obvious that you can find a little bit of everything in my room.

MISC SONIC ASKS

Thank you so very much! I was trying to really combine both Amy and Sonic’s aesthetics. Amy is classy and design oriented so I wanted to keep that feel, but I wanted to show how their home would evolve once she and Sonic start living together. Sonic’s never canonically had a house, but he travels so much that I headcanon that he’s constantly collecting trinkets and souvenirs from all the places he’s visited. So I wanted to give them a very “worldly” design style. If you’re familiar with Uncharted 4, I picture Sonic and Amy’s house being very much like Nate and Elena’s beach house.

I love interior design and architecture but I’m not great at drawing it (yet). Once I improve I want to do a full layout of their house for my stories (and the future Shadora Fortress).

I really enjoyed the movies and I’m excited for the third! I hope they give Shadow a voice that’s deep and delicious and doesn’t sound like a sniveling villain. I don’t like it when they cast him with a very generic evil voice, I prefer it when he’s got depth. Honestly I’d be happy if they stuck with Ian Hanlin, he’s perfect to me. 

For the record, I absolutely love that game. Some of my favorite memories involve me and my best friend playing it. He ABSOLUTELY is an avid gun collector. I love seeing the memes of Shadow just rambling off about gun details. BUT HE KEEPS THAT CRAP LOCKED UP IN A SAFE AND UNLOADED AT ALL TIMES!!!!

At least for my stories he isn’t one to actually threaten to harm anybody for wanting to date his kids. He dealt with that enough trying to be with Aurora. But you can bet he won’t think anybody’s worthy to date his kids lol

First of all, I am ALWAYS down for Sonic singing his feelings. Like that is my #1 favorite thing in every story. Whenever he breaks out the guitar/lute I’m like “HELL YEAH LET’S DO THIS”

Secondly, that SONG omg!!! I’d never heard it before but wow 😭 I couldn’t love it more. I completely agree and thank you so much for sharing with me!

That is so funny that you say that. It was not my intention to make human Sonic look like RCS but honestly he is my favorite Sonic at this point so maybe it came out subliminally! Also I think Roger is just so damn handsome so I will take that as a compliment lol! 

SHIPPING ASKS

I do ship them but I don’t know about them having kids. I don’t really know those characters well enough to write family members for them and I wouldn’t want to do it wrong. Thank you!

I’m fine with any of your ships as long as it’s not with relatives. And as long as you keep my characters “in character” then that’s fine. 

Interesting! 🤔 I haven’t heard that pairing before but hey I’m certainly not going to tell you that you can’t ship them together. 

I loved Amy the minute I saw her so just from a superficial level I was like “These two are too cute together!” But I really fell in love with them when their story evolved and we got to see their dynamism in the games outside of just a cute little pink sprite in Sonic CD. And Sonic X really sealed the deal haha So many romantic moments between them in that show, God bless. 

Sonic and Amy were just making out, not anything more. Orbot and Cubot aren’t accustomed to seeing that so that’s why they reacted that way. 

I don’t have any plans on that at the moment. I like that universe and I especially loved how Sonic acted around her in it, but idk if I’ll make a comic about it. But I can never say never!

PERSONAL ASKS

I’m sorry to have worried you, but honestly I was okay while I was away. I went through a lot of major life events and I had lost my drawing mojo and was fighting to get it back. But now it’s back with a vengeance!

I plan on doing both. I know several amazing parents who do a wonderful job raising their kids and still follow their passion.

Thank you so much! I’m self-taught, but I’ve researched a lot of tutorials and references to help me improve over my life. The number one thing people need to study if they want to do comics or animations or anything is ANATOMY! You don’t have to take an anatomy class (I didn’t), but look up references and tutorials to learn how the spine works, how the muscles work, proportions, etc. Even if your characters don’t fall into the typical human form, you still need to understand skeletal structure and muscles. 

I’m not an avid listener but I do like some if her songs :)

AURORA ASKS

Thank you! Yes that’s pretty accurate. Their family is all about honesty and telling the truth, but younger Aurora doesn’t like to share all the details with Sonic because he’s so reactive with her and will quickly try to fix whatever the problem is and Aurora wants to learn to fix it herself. Amy is more willing to just listen to Aurora and offer advice if Aurora asks for it. Amy WANTS to beat up whoever is upsetting her daughter but she also knows the importance of learning how to fight for yourself so she wants Aurora to feel empowered to do that. 

Thank you! I hope you’re having a great day too! I think Amy is better at TALKING through feelings and Sonic’s better at the overall cheering up way of handling things. So as long as there’s nothing terribly awful bothering Aurora and she’s just feeling a little down, he’ll find ways to make her laugh. Sometimes that means walking in unexpectedly in a costume to shock her or dragging her out of the room to have a musical jam session together. 

Sonic’s also known to give people flowers when they’re sad in canon (he does this regularly in the games and in Sonic X), so he’ll bring her bright, colorful flowers to make her smile. 

In my AU, Eggman has already kind of peaked by the time of Boom!Baby. He’s softened a lot and isn’t interested so much in world domination as he just wants attention lol. Having Sage and becoming a father further helped me justify that with my AU. 

He's also particularly sentimental towards Aurora since he helped deliver her, so he doesn’t really fight the team anymore. He is more like a constant pain in their sides mucking things up. 

Sonic team is busy fighting other, newer foes in my AU.

Their biggest challenge is going to be the Time Travel comic that I haven’t completed yet. It’s hardest because not only will lives be put on the line, but it also touches on trust and when to let go. I’m sorry I can’t give you a more detailed answer yet but I don’t want to spoil the plot! And thank you so much! 

MISC ASKS RELATED TO MY AU

Yes I just need to draw them. There are so many dang Sonic characters hahaha

It’s VERY important to Aurora for her parents to give their blessing, so Shadow will honor that and ask them for it. I already know how and when he’s going to do it, but I can’t spoil it for you yet! 😉

They’ve had three litters. I headcanon that back in the day hedgehogs used to have litters (2 or more kids) all the time but that became less and less common in modern day. But I also headcanon that as the Ultimate Lifeform, Shadow was engineered to be able to… multiply effectively. So even though they’ve only been pregnant 3 times, they keep having triplets or twins. 

I do consider the First Kiss comic canon to my AU. But it happened a while before My Gal, maybe like a year or so before. Give them time to stew on that kiss hehehe

They just wanted to make a life change. The stars just happened to align at the same time haha

All the kids’ names are supposed to be based on their personalities or powers. Most Sonic characters are named that way, so I don’t know if it’s canon for Mobian parents to sense what their kid’s powers will be or not. Aurora has dreams that sometimes give her premonitions so she had inklings to what their kids might be like so she and Shadow could brainstorm ideas based on that. Also a lot of their names are outer-space-related or at least outer-space-adjacent and that was because Shadow’s a space man lol So he had influence in that. 

Sonic wants all his descendants named Sonic II so he’s no help lol.

There are 3 litters. The first litter has the triplets Piper, Zane and Nova. The second litter was born almost a year and a half later and has the twins Aster and Blitz. The third litter was immediately after and that has the triplets Cinder, Diamond and Boon. All this information is listed in their character reference post. 

In the beginning the family mostly just stuck to ordering online and getting home deliveries lol. But if they do have to do a grocery store run it’s a full family event. The kids all ride on Shadow (see this post). Their house has two fridges to accommodate for all the mouths to feed!

Their life certainly isn’t boring anymore 😂 It’s exhausting but they’re happy (also there are 8 kids haha!)

Aurora definitely would have asked him about this, but at least in my stories Sonic became an orphan at a young age and I don’t have him with any siblings. 

I’ve had another person ask me who I picture Sonic’s parents as and I do plan on drawing a reference of them, but they’ll be unique to my stories. They won’t be from any other Sonic media. 

I don’t draw Aleena, Manic and Sonia because of a couple reasons. I never watched Sonic Underground so I don’t have the allegiance/nostalgia that a lot of people have to that show. Also for my own preference, I don’t like the idea of Sonic being born to royalty. It doesn’t suit him, in my opinion. That doesn’t mean I don’t respect people who have that as a part of their canon and it doesn’t mean I have any bad feelings towards the Underground characters. I just don’t draw them. I grew up on the games and later Sonic X and Sonic Boom so my stories revolve around what I know. 

It’s funny that you mention that ship because I only just learned about it from Starrjoy’s P!AU comic. Again I didn’t watch Sonic Underground so I don’t know who Bernadette is, but sure I’m down for Sonic having two moms. Families come in all shapes and sizes, so as long as they’re a loving parent or parents then I support it. 

They love all their grandkids and they love spending time with them, but I think in their older age Sonic and Amy go off on more adventures again. They never stopped adventuring, but they settled down a bit while raising Aurora. Now they’re relishing a second wind and they’re frequently going on worldly explorations.  

But they always make sure to attend any events the kids are involved with and are always home on Sundays for family dinner. Sunday night is dinner at Grandma and Grandpa’s! <— I have them always having dinner at their house on Sundays even before Aurora and Shadow have kids

To be honest, I never felt like they needed more. I had a comic where they discussed it hypothetically, but they’re content with just having the one kid. (Don’t worry, just because they’re not having kids does NOT mean they aren’t… active 😈 They’re very VERY much so!). I am okay with fan stories where people give Aurora siblings and there’s a fic I’m reading right now that involves Sonic and Amy having a whoopsie baby way late in life and adult Aurora is having to deal with that and I love it lol. But just for my own writing, it’s a single-child household.

Updated! Fandoms I’ve been in

Back in 2017, I made a list of fandoms/media obsessions I’ve had but it was in a weird order, because some of the stuff was either just an interest and not a fixation, and some of it was stuff I observed but didn’t take part in.

so here’s an updated version of the list 

Disney/Muppets (2004?)

Disney and the Muppets have always been part of my childhood, my mum would collect ornaments and I visited Disneyland in 2010

Barbie and just dolls in general 

(2003 or 2004, then I became aware of doll fandoms in 2012 or 2013 

around the time Monster high was released) 

Fireman Sam (2005-2017-2022-present)

(I was introduced to the series in series 5, felt nostalgic for it again in 2017, became aware of the tumblr fandom during that time, then it kinda went dormant for a while until August 2022 when I got back into it again and got obsessed)

Hit Entertainment series in general (2005- present)

(while my interest in Sam in particular is what I’m mainly into from that company, I do sometimes post about their other shows, like Bob the Builder)

British Comedy in general (2005-present) 

My first britcom was either Mr Bean or Father Ted, a few black adder clips would be shown in english class and I marathoned Little Britain during my GCSE’s.

I’ll always love the Simpsons, I suppose it counts as a fandom as I follow a lot of fan artists from that series

Doctor Who (2006-2013)

During the hype of david tennant’s era as the 10th doctor sometimes I would watch this series with my mum so I have some love and nostalgia for it, I wouldn’t know a lot about it though as I was mostly a casual fan

Lazy Town (2006- 2017)

I loved Lazy Town as a kid, I saw the stage show in the grand opera house years ago and I remember the height of the you are number one memes, while I do love it, I wouldn’t say I’m as obsessed with it as before)

Spongebob (2007-2017-present

via some dvds that came with the newspaper and a KFC meal, I was exposed to Spongebob, I’d have a spongebob poster in my wardrdobe and then I learned about the musical at the end of 2017, this is also where I met one of my ex friends, I still love Spongebob

Pokemon (2007)

I was introduced to Pokemon via the Diamond and Pearl season and I spent most of 2014 watching a bit of indigo league and playing Pokemon Y

Mario (2008) 

I would watch mario flash animations on youtube and play games on newgrounds, this is also how I got introduced to deviantart via the artist “nintendrawer”

Tinker bell (2008)

I was occasionally active on the Pixie Hollow virtual world and it was a fun time  .Disney Teen Sitcoms (2008-2015)

I was obsessed with Hannah Montana and a lot of those shows, but then I got older and grew out of them around the time my mid teens started

I still love the chipmunks, I have an Alvin plush from when I was on holiday in Florida back in 2010

Star Wars (2015-2018) I know I got into it during the Disney era, but I have seen the original star wars as well, I’m not as into it as I was at the time, maybe once I watch the rest of the classic series then I’ll understand the hype

I love Gorillaz, I got the now now album when it was released and I get annual messages from Murdoc in my emails, I still love that silly primate band so much, I recall some google+ friend being into it so that’s how I found it and then getting more invested in it in 2018

I used to occasionally watch supernatural and while I wasn’t in the fandom when the super hell news was announced, I did indeed enjoy the memes

I gave drag race a chance in summer 2018 and I loved it, it also encouraged me to get into drag myself, I’ve met 3 of the UK queens and it’s just amazing

I also was introduced to Contrapoint’s videos during that time and she definitely radicalized me into the leftist I am today (well her and Rik technically)

Rocky Horror (2018-present)

I watched the sequel first (Shock Treatment) because Rik Mayall was in it and I saw the stage version in 2019 (gonna see it again later this August),

Queen (2018-present)

I was deep into the Queen fandom in 2018 and while I don’t listen to them as much as before, I still appreciate their place in music history 

Good Omens  (2019-present)

I fell immediately in love with this mini series and it’s book, it’s so gay

Beetlejuice   (2019-present)

I then got obsessed with the Beetlejuice musical

Dead Or Alive (2019-present)

Dead Or Alive is my favourite 80s band, I met some my current pals back in 2019 via that fandom, good times have been had

Evangelion (2021-present)

I started the series in 2015 but resumed it in 2021, it has psychologically changed me in the same way that rik’s filmography has, I’ve met a few friends via the fandom for this series

Persona (2021-present)

I watched the Persona 4 anime in it’s entirety in 2021, it has also changed me, and so has Persona 5 

(Futaba was the autism representation that I needed as a teenager)

Evil Dead (2022-present)

I got into this film franchise mostly via my friend @leakyrectum, and I’m happy I did, it’s made me appreciate Horror as a genre a lot more, as well as the icon that is Bruce Campbell.

Lupin the third (2023-present)

I just started Lupin part 2 a few months ago and I already adore it, I can’t wait to watch the rest and what I’ve seen of the Lupin fandom is very fun, welcoming and gay

Don't mind me, just gonna use this post to list off all the things i did/do my whole life.

This is in no specific order.

-I used to make my classmates play "the one that stays silent the most wins". I always won.

-If I can go non-verval at all I would. (Just be there dissociating while my friends talk amon themselves). One time i was home alone i didn't talk until my family came back.

-In birthady partys/school/etc I always played alone. Didn't socialize at all. I'd always "be in my bubble" like my dad used to say.

-Most of the time i take things literal.

-When I use sarcasm people think i'm serious.

-Not understand jokes.

-Say something non-funny and people laughing cuz they think i made a joke.

-Make a joke and people not laughing.

-I have a very specific rutine that if i do something out of order it messes me up and makes me forget some stuff i do.

-I can go weeks (even months) eating the same food without changing anything. If I go out with my friends to the movies I always eat the same excat thing.

-If someone gets me clothes and I don't like the texture of the fabric I won't wear it. And, in the case i do wear it, I will be 100% aware of the fabric touching my skin.

-I've been wearing the same flannel shirt since 2016. And the same outfit (the only thing that changes are my tshorts) for aroun 3 or 4 years.

-I watch the same shows/movies over and over instead of watching anything new. I've watched the Beetlejuice cartoon since i was a toddler and I still watch it to this day.

-I will watch an episode of a show i like so many times until i memorize all the dialoge. (example: camp camp s01ep01 s02ep01 or Megamind (but in spanish))

-I listen to the same songs over and over.

-I've been having an hyperfixation on voice actors/dub actors since 2009.

-Whenever i'm watching a movie/show with my friends and see an actor i recognize, i end up telling them thay said actor voiced x character in a show or movie.

-Tell them va trivia like "did you know that the voice actor of Goku also vocies Sun Wukon on Lego Monkie Kid"

-Because i watch the same cartoons over and over, whenever my friends try to remember something that happened in an episode they always turn to me. Or, since i am their cartoon enciclopedia, they try to remember a show, tell a basic rundown of wthat the show is about and wait for mw to say the name of the cartoon.

-If i had to chose between live action and animation i will always pick animation.

-I rater starve than eat something i don't like.

-I can't like things a "normal" way, I always obsess over everything i like.

-The reson i learned english was for me to watch more cartoons.

-I stim when i'm too excited. With my hands or if what i'm feeling is too much i stomp my feet (like when i went to watch Sonic 2 with my friends and saw the Shadow after credits)

-I can control my "indoor voice" especially if i'm talking about my intereses.

-I empathise more with fictional characters then people.

-To communicate i rather send pictures/memes than exprese into words how i'm feeling.

-I don't like physical contact. Unless I initiate it.

Me: I'm autistic.

It's so silly, but what I enjoy the most when it comes to animation in the movies is the small details on Sonic, Tails and Knuckles that makes them more... Alive, or real, however I could describe it. (I'm mainly using Sonic as an example)

I especially love what they did with the fur on the characters, like when they got out of the water and their fur is wet.

Like I don't think it's easy to notice, but you should see some water dripping out of his quills or something. (You can also see that his gloves are wet too.)

And another amazing detail is when Sonic and Knuckles are underwater and their fur is flowing. (God I wish I know how to make gifs)

And even when they have sand on them as well.

I MEAN LOOK AT THAT

(I forgot to take a picture of it but there was even some sand on Knuckles' gloves.)

And of course, snowy Sonic.

Like, the animators pulled it off with Sonic, Tails and Knuckles' fur details and conditions. I wish I have more pictures, or at least better ones, to show off but these will do.

Sand, or snow, or whatever, would get stuck on Sonic's fur since he is covered with said fur, and not just hair (or quills) on his head.

EVEN THIS IMAGE SCREAMS REALISTIC BECAUSE OH MY GOD

Sonic was running through the bridge before Robotnik's Egg Mech shot it down with Sonic still on it!

Then he crashed onto the ground along with the remaining pieces of the destroyed bridge and MAN

Every. Single. Time. I see Sonic in this condition, my heart just shatters

Because YOU CAN TELL

That Sonic is beaten up badly. All that dirt and bruises on his body, including his pained expression. Complete with the animation of him approaching the Master Emerald in a slow and painful pace, and he kept tumbling and falling back to the ground but he kept going anyway.

EVEN HIS GLOVES AND SHOES LOOK BEATEN UP WHAT THE HECK

I believe that without all that dirt on Sonic's fur, or even just a little bit of it, it wouldn't even look like he was in terrible condition. The crew did such an OUTSTANDING job on this movie, but especially this entire sequence.

The ENTIRE FINAL BATTLE ALONE, COMPLETE WITH MY BOY SUPER SONIC

Plus, they made him, Tails and Knuckles so darn expressive it's like we've never seen them express before. THAT'S HOW GOOD IT IS MAN.

It's just one of those things in animation, but especially in CGI, that just makes everything else so realistic. Like the characters are actually there. And I love it. I don't know why, it's just such a cool thing to point out every now and then.

Also, another thing that makes them more real is the breathing, or most specifically, moments when their chests "puffs" in and out.

Like here for instance. (This looks like a meme template XD)

Here Knuckles was going on about how Sonic moves forward despite failing again, and again, and again, ect. And Sonic here is just like: bruh.

You can definitely see that his body kind of shrunk, letting out some air before inhaling again to speak up. (I REALLY wish I knew how to make gifs)

I'm just gonna plug this really neat post right here if you want to read it since it's about what I'm explaining here. So shout out to @caz-cina for that because I could've explain it better myself. XD

Again, like I said, it's the smallest things in the movies that I just can't get over because the animators actually did they're part to make the animated characters and the special effects as real as possible.

Probably not necessary to post something like this but I just wanted to say how much I love stuff like this and it's so cool that the crew are really hopeful and collaborative with the movie series.

Honestly, kudos to the cast and crew. They are way past cool.

Alright, there's something about Sonic I need to get off my chest.

First, there's the movie sequel, which we've been waiting for since the post credit scene of Tails in first film. And this movie was absolutely incredible! I still haven't gotten out of the hype, the Wachowski boys live in my head rent free, I am unable to stop imagining scenario after funny or fluffy scenario and shenanigans. And there are so many retro easter eggs from every media of this franchise (so many in the climax alone, Knuckles jumping back off the Tornado, that light tap from '06, catching the giant robot's punch from Sonic X, Enerjak vibes from Archie comics during Master Emerald's origin story, the air bubble from underwater levels of Sonic Rush, that water slide in the last temple, the drowning scene paralleling first episode of Sonic X, all the classic traps, the same expression and flailing in "I can't swim!" as first episode of Sonic Boom, Fleetway vibes when they had us worried in the first half of that one scene, the snowboarding, Tails' Zeti Zappers from IDW, and so much more!) And don't even get me started on how well the mobian characters were done and finally, that mid credit scene. It wasn't exaggerated that those who weren't STH fans also know this beloved character. My best friend isn't a fan, she didn't even care much about this franchise before the second movie and doesn't know any lore but she also knows Shadow.

Then, while still in the hype of the sequel, there was already a teaser trailer of Sonic Prime released recently along with Sonic Origins trailer and the hype increased ten-fold, again. And I suspect that Issue #50 of IDW will be coming out on his 31st Anniversary so there's that too.

Anyways, all that Sonic content aside, but now even Disney has placed his 2019 trailer version in their movie.

Hear me out for a second.

First, I got upset at learning that version was featured in the film and trending, but then I gave it a little thought and went, "Oh. Oooohhhh! So that's what happened. Are they really that angry at our beloved blue hedgehog now? Oh, boy. XD" Now I'm laughing at the implications of why they placed him in one of their live action films, and in that particular form too. This afternoon, I told my Mom about it in these exact words, "Mom, guess what. Disney added the 2019 trailer version of Sonic in their recent-most live action movie and that one scene with 'Ugly Sonic' is now trending the most." She chuckled so hard at the irony, saying something along the lines of, 'Never thought this time would fall on them.'

Now, no offense to Disney or Chip n Dale fans ofcourse since this is purely from the point of view of a Sonic fan who saw her favorite character portrayed like that after his own movie was a block buster hit, it doesn't take a genius to connect the dots.

Remember those memes and posts Sonic fans were posting before Sonic 2 movie was released? The ones which said something like how we don't even care at this point if the movie is silly or childish or whatever, we want this hedgehog to break records. To make Disney and Marvel and Nintendo nervous, to make the other companies trip over their own feet trying to catch up to a speedy hedgehog fighting Jim Carry. And many other similar memes. Well, that's exactly what's happening and 2019 Sonic appearing in a freaking Disney movie like that just confirms it.

The hedgehog truly is unstoppable this year and I love it!

🎃Inktober of 2022 - Day 25: 🤢 Ugly

🇵🇷Me: I finally managed to get this Inktober post done about hours ago, you guys! Hopefully I can keep it up while getting into some projects that I haven’t touch yet. Still it can wait at the right the time anyways. 🇵🇷Me: Despite many memes later afterwards though, I think I can get used to of Ugly Sonic and his glory; especially as a supporting cameo for Chip ‘n’ Dale live-action movie which is something. Just make sure to not stare his human teeths up close. Yikes. Anyways, thought for my own version was having Maxwell (still in his K.O. costume from his Day 1 appearance to celebrate CN’s 30th Anniversary) is looking on the mirror to see his ugly self. Perhaps leading to the multiverse version of himself where every characters is ugly, but I don’t wanted to be rude when seeing it. Nevertheless, it does give them both a scare. Thankfully none of them weren’t hurt a bit; just terrified for both looks.

this got lost in all my notes, sorry anon! So let’s do all three Wachowski sibs, starting with Sonic

First impression: is that fucking Dewey Duck in a Sonic costume?

Impression now: I would die for you

Favourite moment: it starts and ends with ‘d’, and also the beach scene in the second movie I thought was a really good display of how much Sonic has grown as both a character and his own person.

Idea for a story: I have several, it’s called Birds of a Feather j/k I have an idea for a Sonic chapter but I need to iron it out a bit before I write it

Unpopular opinion: the memes and flossing can go

Favourite relationship: definitely how father-son he’s gotten with Tom (HEAR ME YOU SICKOS??? THEY’RE A FATHER AND SON YOU IDIOTS), but I also look forward to seeing what he’s like with his new brothers in the Knuckles series if they touch on that in it

Favourite headcanon: Wachowski can and will kill a man which entirely sets him apart from the other Sonics in the continuity. and I’m also a fan of the living chaos emerald theory

Tails

First impression: baby boy. fluffy baby boy

Favourite moment: definitely mowing Knuckles down with the cop car is top tier entertainment, also Siberia dance off

Idea for a story: as above. I also have a couple more Tails ideas in the works for future Birds of a Feather chapters. one will be Tails having to leave post it notes on things he’s tampered with.

Unpopular opinion: I don’t think I have any unpopular Tails opinions other than they really should’ve shown a small flashback to his home world. we got one with Knuckles and Sonic, and I think it would’ve driven home his panic attack when the Siberians started calling him and Sonic freaks

Favourite relationship: I look forward to a lot of Tails with his new fam, especially Ozzie and Maddie and his big bros, and maybe Wade

Favourite headcanon: he’s taken over Tom’s shed where Tom found Sonic in the first movie. Tom is never getting it back

Knuckles

First impression: *INCOHERENT SCREAMING* and ‘oh gods I hope they don’t mess him up’

Impression now: I absolutely adore this iteration of Knuckles right down to his Draxxness

Favourite moment: too many but honorable mentions go to ‘oh they are stairs’, ‘YOU DARE MOCK ME IN MY HOUR OF DEFEAT’ and ofc ‘I HAVE JUST BEEN TOLD THEY HAVE SPRINKLES’

Idea for a story: Ohana was basically meant to be him getting used to the family life but since I wrote that when we didn’t know anything about what he’d be like or his role, I’d like to carry some of it over into Birds of a Feather. I also saw someone point out that Knuckles would be more inclined to call Maddie ‘mother’ than Sonic would or that Sonic would rather call Tom ‘dad’ than vice versa. I’d like to explore that.

Unpopular opinion: I honestly don’t think there’s any shipping material between him and Sonic in the movie verse. As much as I was gung ho for it before I do acknowledge that they are brothers in a sense now more so than in past versions. Though I am still gonna write that au at some point.

Favourite relationship: KNUCKLES AND MADDIE KNUCKLES AND MADDIE KNUCKLES AND MADDIEEEE. SHE OUTRIGHT SAID HE WAS HER FAVOURITE AND I SCREAMED BC MAMA’S BOYYYYY

Favourite headcanon: he might have a bed and roof over his head but Knuckles comes and goes as he pleases from the Wachowski home. He’s like a college student that goes away for a semester and then comes back. However he does leave notes, despite nobody being able to read his chicken scratch of Ekidnian.

Ok so Sonic Prime is an upcoming Sonic show that is going to have Sonic explore multiple dimensions. The company making it owns the rights to the 90s tv shows (SatAM, AoSTH, Underground) so we're all really hoping part of the multiverse is the other Sonic canons, hence all my memes.

So, quick rundown:

Prime!Sonic - Gameverse, from Sonic Adventure onwards; we got confirmation a while ago that the main Sonic in Prime will be gameverse. I also lump IDW!Sonic in with him for now but we'll have to see if those comics go off-game canon at some point.

Classic!Sonic - Gameverse, everything from the original Sonic the Hedgehog to ~Sonic R. He's been featured as a separate character in Sonic Generations and Sonic Forces so we're counting him.

Nicky/Shogakukan!Sonic - from these early manga adaptations from Shogakukan. They're super hard to find and not much is known about them but basically Nicky is an anxiety boy who turns into Sonic when there's trouble.

Fleetway!Sonic/StC!Sonic - from the British comic Sonic the Comic published by Fleetway. He's known for being a lil ruder than Sonic normally is and for his SuperSonic form being fucking evil so that's cool as shit

AoSTH!Sonic - Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, 1993 comedy tv show that's basically a mix of Roadrunner and Garfield and Friends. Sonic in this canon is a dumbass and also more powerful than God.

SatAM!Sonic - Sonic the Hedgehog 1993-1994 tv show, the commercials always put "SatAM" by the title cause it aired on Saturday Mornings so that became shorthand for the show. Post-apocalyptic rebellion show, this Sonic's fighting to free his world and definitely has a lot of trauma. Also note that in this canon he's dating Princess Sally Acorn, my beloved, who's basically the only one in the rebellion with a braincell

Archie!Sonic - Sonic the Hedgehog Archie Comic series. So much shit happens in these comics I can't even get into it here. Basically started out SatAM adaptation and then mixed in gameverse and its own shit and it's wild

Scourge - From the Archie Comics, fucked up and evil Sonic from another dimension. We’re not allowed to use him rn because bitchass motherfucker K*n P*nders has custody.

OVA!Sonic - from Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie, called the OVA by the fandom cause i think it stands for "Original Video Animation" or smth? An anime pilot film that never got picked up for a series but was pretty and fun. OVA Sonic is a lovable asshole who fistfights Metal Sonic. This is also the canon with Cowboy Hat Knuckles.

Underground!Sonic - from Sonic Underground, it was basically a studio trying to make SatAM more marketable while putting less work into it. I cannot recommend it as a good show but I do recommend it as a really funny show to laugh at. In this canon Sonic is one of three royal triplets (the others being Sonia and Manic, yes those are their real names) and they use magic instruments they summon from amulets to fight Robotnik and find their Mom. Yes that's all canon

X!Sonic - from Sonic X, an anime adaptation from the early 2000s that made its own original story to tie in with gameverse. The Japanese version is the best Sonic adaptation imo, but unfortunately the English was dubbed by 4kids who are notorious for being shit at translating. Anyway X!Sonic is the only Sonic with a braincell and also he can turn into Dark Sonic if you piss him off enough.

Boom!Sonic - from the Sonic Boom tv show/games, he's basically Sonic but with his flaws heightened for comedic value. aka he's a self-centered adrenaline junkie but also he's super tired of everything in life and he basically comes across as a bored college student. So I love him. You can tell him from the other Sonics by the neckerchief.

Filmverse!Sonic - from the Paramount 2020 film adaptation that's clearly spinning off into a universe of his own. aka Sonic Wachowski this is the one with two eyes and fluff, probably chaos emerald magic, and the least experience with Mobius's bullshit as well as the most experience with Earth's bullshit

Aside from Reunion of Legacies, of which I've made a oneshot of and have already posted it, I cannot just not make headcanons of the Shitty Apartment AU.

Sonic and Shadow always prank each other since they're neighbors, and the rest of their teams always make bets on who will strike with what next.

Bean and Charmy cannot be left alone together, they will reck havok on everyone else and be RUTHLESS about it.

The apartment actually does have a group chat, just so people can reach each other in case of emergency. It has over fifty thousand messages already.

Team Dark have bunk beds.

No one else outside of the teams live in the apartment, they can't take the heat.

Sonic, Shadow, Omega, Charmy, Bean, Fang, Jet, and Mighty are banned from any kitchen.

All the girls have girls nights in Wave's apartment. Jet and Storm are kicked out whenever this occurs.

There is a list of rules that mostly everyone, surprisingly enough, obey.

Jewl and Bark have movie nights whenever the rest of their teams are out, so they bounce between each other's apartments.

There is a game night for everyone, and it's hectic.

Bean keeps scaring Espio by accident.

Team Rose's apartment smells like strawberries.

Mighty and Ray crash at Team Chaotix's apartment mostly, but only because they can't really sleep in Team Sonic's.

Tails tinkers at hellish times during the night, but it serves more as white noise to everyone else after hearing it for so long.

Tangle can cook a few things, and is learning from Jewl.

Bark and Amy hangout and drink tea.

Metal Sonic is a unofficial part of the apartment, whenever he isn't trying to kill everyone at least.

EVERYBODY has first aid kits in their apartments, at two at least.

Vector takes a solid look at all of these formerly homeless, traumatized children and decides they all need therapy.

Fang snores like a dad.

Yes!!! Tails and Rouge win the most frequently.
