head in my hands bc of this, just thought abt bakugo growing out his hair a little bit right after baby's birth...takes him months to go and get a real haircut cuz he doesn't wanna burden you more than he already has and by the time he's okay with the thought (but only for "AN HOUR MAX," is what he says), he has a mullet thing going on and all this scruff on his chin🥺🥺🥺

so he gets home with his regular ol' haircut, maybe a little shorter just to account for ... not wanting to go again so soon, and baby's HOLLERING bloody murder as soon as they see him and refusing to be taken out of your arms, doing that thing where they're flipping their face back and forth to dodge a kiss...

it's so tragic bc not even a little cheek nuzzling helps to calm them bc bakugo's CLEAN SHAVEN and smells like aftershave instead of like dad when he tries!!!!!!

and after, you watch him kinda sulk into the bathroom, thinking like aw yeah thats a bummer but also pretty funny, too (esp bc the haircut does look good🫣🤓), AND HE DOESN'T COME OUT FOR LIKE an hour???

....until you finally have to ask him if he's okay in there and you're opening the door to him sitting on the toilet seat, arms crossed and red cheeks a little streaky with tears...

LJFKASDJFADSJK it's the cutest, most sad sight you ever did see!! ofc Bakugo tries to deny it, but the way he tears up again (after you're done assuring him he did nothing wrong) when his baby finally realizes it's him and smiles (and then how he refuses to give them up again until bedtime) has his ass. EXPOSED.

I love how over time kid xelqua has become less just baby grian and more grian's kid who he found in the woods/somehow created and now the kid represents all of grian's childhood trauma and Catholic guilt and grian is just trying to break the cycle bc there's this magic fucking baby who is the best thing in the world

JKAGJKD yes Exactly, see evo Grian has a lot of family issues, from being an orphan, to the Watchers, he has ISSUES, so raising a version of himself is..... definitely odd, but weirdly healing.. He sees how he was as a kid, he wasn't that bad, he was just a kid ! He didn't deserve to be abandoned or anything. He sees all of his ache in Xelqua, he's very much breaking the cycle.

Thinking about Mato and crying

He was the weakest of the brothers but the most excited and determined to become a nail master.

He looked up to Sheo so much, he is still thinking about him and hoping that he thinks of him and Oro in turn.

Sheo left them at some point to pursue another path and Oro betrayed and left Mato probably not long after.

Despite Mato's grudge against Oro the evidence that he still cares for him very much is there. specifically in the god home, where he jumps in to defend Oro when he is knocked down.

His dream nail dialogue in the fight is "Brothers always fight together!" And "Don't leave me behind!"

Clearly he feels he was abandoned by his brothers.

He thinks that he is unworthy of even being in the presence of the nail sage. His own father.

Mato is so enthusiastic and kind and so so lonely!!

He feels he is abandoned and unwanted, and he so desperately wants to be wanted!

and the thing that really gets me is just how much effort he puts into making it especially clear how loved and wanted his own pupil is!

If you choose not to be taught by him, he assumes you believe you are unworthy and quickly assures you that isn't true.

He gives you grand compliments, and tells you that "you honor him beyond words."

Even when he begins rambling about Oro after learning that you had met him, he quickly catches himself and says "I'm sorry. I shouldn't bother you with such things. I'm happy you were able to train under another nailmaster and grow stronger."

He so readily sets aside his grudge, and expresses his happiness for you !!

He genuinely wants his pupil to be proud of themself. He doesn't want them to ever feel the way he did.

He is so loving and so lonely..

When you come to visit him again for the first time, he is genuinely surprised and says it is "an honor he scarcely deserves"

This man needs a family!! This is a family man he shouldn't be alone!!!!

honestly…. not even sure that he wouldn’t realize that it’s Weird behavior like he’s so strange and his perceptions of everything are so skewed he might just think it’s completely normal like those celebrity couples you occasionally hear weird ass things about, but you know that to them it’s the norm…. weird and obsessive for weird and obsessive, i like it 

there’s also the chance that it takes a partner being as obsessive as him for him to realize things are not normal lmfaooooo. that doesn’t mean he won’t like it, but you two being each other’s wake up calls is funny 😭

i think its insane that bmo is getting a preschool show. i know hes made to take care of kids but every bmo episode is like

"bmo kills his sibling on his birthday and has to deal with th trauma all on his own forever"

or "bmo is lost in the woods and watching his own biological clock tick away he cant protect the baby he found he cant protect the man he just fell in love with and then his fiance is killed in front of him by the people he promised would protect him"

and "bmo and his reflection just established that they love each other, but they dont love each other more than freedom, now bmo's trapped in the mirror dimension while he and his reflection try to either kill one another or destroy any means of escape"

like i cnat stress enough. every bmo episode is like this. bmo noire, guardians of sunshine, orb, they are all like this. the only lighthearted bmo episodes are president porpoise and always bmo closing, and even president porpoise has bmo forcing dark shit into the game. him and ice king are like yay yay yay little colorful submarine trip:) and then bmo is like SOLDIER WE'RE RUNNING OUT OF AIR AND THE ENEMIES AR E SHOOTING.AT US WE ARE. Does anyone else feel like Aylinluna was horribly out of character this episode?? I've heard that apparently some things were cut, so that might be the reason but it still felt weird. Like ur telling me Luna, who has literally been so respectful of Aylin's boundaries literally even last episode, is suddenly forcing her to go out of her comfort zone?? Okay, fine, I understand the concept of wanting ur gf to get along with ur friends, but ur telling me Luna wouldn't stand up for Aylin when someone is clearly getting in her face and making her uncomfortable?? That she would call her an ALIEN??!!!
