Okay here me out on a the 100 fic idea I’m writing…

A John Murphy-Centric S7 AU with no Anomaly.

Everyone is trapped in the reactor with Sheidheda in charge, except Murphy, Emori, Indra and Jackson.

The only authority the last of the human race can accept is a Commander, and the only way to get one of those is destroyed.

Unless it wasn't.

They don't need the Flame, they just need everyone to think they do.

Murphy realising that the only one capable of lying about that is him.

He certainly spent enough time around Ontari who thought she could manage lying about it.

Murphy knowing him and heroism don't mix but reluctantly accepting the mantle anyways, if only to protect the family he never thought he'd love.

THE POTENTIAL WRECKS ME

Memori being an absolute power couple during their biggest lie yet.

The angst of not being able to tell ANYONE about the lie, because the stakes are too high to risk Sheidheda finding out.

Murphy imposter syndrome as he acts more like a Commander.

Spacekru as a family - especially if everyone else likes his ruse persona better and his family just want their cockroach back.

Especially Raven like can you imagine your platonic soulmate who matches your vibe suddenly becomes a different person. NO.

Bellamy and Murphy brotherhood - I saw that one scene of them on the Ring and ran with it.

Echo too!! She's spent the last six years learning to be her own person but now the situation requires her to go back to being a spy. She already thinks she failed Roan, she won't fail another leader, especially one that's her friend.

Murphy being Madi's unofficial godfather because I said so.

He'd probably have to lie to her about shared Commander experiences.

Also lying to Clarke about seeing Lexa - THIS ONE HURTS ME AND I HAVEN'T EVEN WRITTEN IT YET.

On that note I love Clarke & Murphy friendship, especially when they give dysfunctional cousins energy.

Indra training him, knowing he likely won't survive this and becoming less okay with that as time goes on.

Gaia going absolutely insane because hooray the Flame's back but oh no it's in the hands of one of the worst people to have it. You just know he falls asleep in their meditation training and lies about it.

imagine if instead of praimfaya, the 100 s4 picked up from azgeda taking control of polis and the 12 clans. they declare war on skaikru and all the clans that resist them and let’s say they take clarke as a prisioner of war because she’s wanheda so people will follow her.

and roan is injured so azgeda is being led by a “villain” character, maybe echo, another prince, or have ontari survive (???) and he has to be smuggled out of the city for his safety.

but it’s just expanding on grounder culture and history and all the clans and how an actuall, full-blown war changes and shapes the characters.

Her gaze settles onto the head of Queen Nia first, before it shifts to Ontari's in surprise, and she doesn't try to disguise the pleasure that fills her at the sight. After a long moment of everyone staring in silence, Lexa looks first at Clarke, then at Echo, a woman she only knows is a friend through memories from the flame. Though, even if she did not recognize her as a friend, Clarke's reaction towards her would have told her as much. She also lets her gaze drift up to the Azgeda prince, who still sits on his horse, expression wary as he watches them all. After a long moment, Lexa lets herself smile. 

“Your gifts are accepted. But as you can imagine, I now have questions,” she tells Echo slowly. 

“Yeah, I think we all do,” Murphy says at her side, and she watches both Clarke and Echo's mouths tick upwards in amusement, just as her own does.
