RWBY: Battle of the Minds
Sage: I seem to have injured my shoulder would my mind?
Adam: ...be my pleasure. *takes lighter* Once we've concluded our business here, it's improtant you know, I shall endeavour define the most creative of endings for the doctor *turns on lighter* and his wife.
Sage: *smokes pipe* (His advantage, my injury. My advantage, his rage. Incoming assault, feral but experienced. Use his momentum to counter)
Adam: *smirks* (Come now. You really think you're the only one who can play this game? Trap arm, target weakness. Follow with haymaker.)
Sage: (Ah, there we find the boxing champion of Mistral)
Adam: (Competent, but predictable. Now allow me to reply)
Sage: (Arsenal running dry. Adjust strategy)
Adam: (Wound taking its toll)
Sage: (As I feared, injury makes defence untennable. Prognosis: increasingly negative)
Adam: (Let's not waste anymore of one another's time. We both know how this ends) *nods head and smirks*
Sage: *chuckles* (Conclusion, inevitable... unless) *blows embers at Adam*
Adam: Agh!
Sage: *grabs Adam*
Neptune: *opens door*
Sage: *closes eyes and lunges himself and Adam off the balcony*

Neptune: Together we can do anything. Face any foe, overcome any obstacle.
Sun: Yeah...climb any mountain, rent any video, dial any phone! And not just our phone, you guys, other people's phones! Decent phones! God-fearing phones! Phones that everybody else gave up on, but we knew better because we were a team!

Sometimes we all become gushing wounds in the hearts of people we love and if it is not the ugliest part of love that we think is so predictable turns into a maze where no matter how much we run we don't find a way out then what it is ?
Is it the letters burnt in a bin or throwing away all the things that remind you of people ? Typical as said by many others.
So many quotes , jokes, paragraphs and books and none of us feels the same like other but still we hang on the words said by others and built a home out of words with our own way to love and when things wrong we keep looking for the answers in the ruins of words written by someone else for someone else and the way they loved.
Somedays we are the golden light that shines through people , but how much is it worth to have that , to hold someone , to know someone as if they are part of you ?

Character Designs created in @perisceris picrew✨
The Cult of Wolves is a surreal horror story about the occult city of Flagstaff, Arizona (wait…) Plutovia Peaks! Lord Bo Graves is warmly inviting you to visit and have an opportunity to truly connect with something spiritual.
Don’t worry, the six person Cult of Wolves agency should protect you. The wolf-deity possessed team has no choice if they want to get out.
These cast of characters will journey through different spiritual realms, discover what it means to be human, and will question the holy iconic figure known as God!

About The Author 🐾
Hi! My name is Ayana aka the dog father aka @celestial-werewolf.
I’ve been working on this story since 2022. I was inspired by: @valdevia’s moth cult piece apart of their Megalomorphia series! and a quote by Guillermo Del Toro, “Monsters are the patron saints of imperfection. There is beauty and humility in imperfection.”
The Cult of Wolves story has truly morphed into another beast since its inception. I have a big love for animals so of course, I’m integrating magical animals of Norse mythology :)
In this story, characters question the purpose of humanity. It’s something I always wondered as a child…
At 24-years-old, i find myself slowly falling in love with the complexities of humanity and I want to express my love towards everything that life has to offer with this story ♥️
I truly love my characters and I hope you love them too :,)
p.s. thanks for reading ^.^

Week Five: "All We Can Save" Book Review
Overview
All We Can Save is an anthology that brings together the voices of women across disciplines—scientists, activists, artists, and writers—who are working to combat climate change. Edited by Ayana Elizabeth Johnson and Katharine K. Wilkinson, the book presents a range of essays, poetry, and storytelling that collectively offer a multifaceted perspective on the climate crisis facing our world. Rather than focusing solely on the dire realities of environmental destruction, All We Can Save emphasizes solutions, community-driven activism, and the power of collaboration. The collection highlights the connections between climate justice, feminism, and systemic change, reinforcing the idea that diverse perspectives are necessary to address such an immense global challenge.
One of the most resonant aspects of the book is its emphasis on hope and collective action. The contributors acknowledge the depth of the crisis but also highlight the resilience of both people and nature. The book stands out because it does not treat climate change as an abstract or purely scientific issue; instead, it weaves personal narratives with practical solutions, making it both emotionally compelling and intellectually stimulating. The inclusion of poetry and storytelling alongside research-driven essays creates a rich, immersive reading experience that appeals to both the heart and the mind. I found the poetry and storytelling to be the most resonant with the way that I like to write. While I still enjoyed the scientific and research-based writings, firsthand storytelling can relate to broader audiences.
The Power of Diverse Voices and Formats
The use of different forms of writing and different authors and editors provides a diverse range of stories and experiences that reach readers worldwide. The book allows readers to connect with the material in multiple ways by incorporating poetry, personal essays, and data-driven arguments. Some may resonate with the scientific explanations of the crisis, while others may find personal stories more impactful in fostering emotional connection and urgency. This varied approach ensures that the book is not just informative but also deeply personal and motivating.
Additionally, climate change is an issue that requires collaboration across different disciplines, cultures, and experiences. By highlighting voices from Indigenous communities, grassroots activists, and established scientists, All We Can Save challenges the traditional institutional approach to environmentalism. It illustrates that solutions come not only from policymakers and researchers but also from those on the ground who experience the effects of climate change firsthand. The book's format embodies the collaborative spirit needed to tackle the crisis, reinforcing the idea that diverse perspectives and creative approaches are essential to enacting real change.
Hope, Solutions, and Why They Matter
While All We Can Save does not provide a single, concrete solution to climate change, it offers multiple approaches that create diverse perspectives for meaningful action. The book acknowledges that no single solution will suffice, but it provides readers with important steps, strategies, and inspiring examples of individuals and communities making a difference. This collective wisdom fosters a sense of hope for our future, reminding readers that they are not powerless in the face of the crisis.
The book is also deeply hopeful. Hope, in this context, is not naive optimism but a necessary force for action. Without hope, the scale of climate change can feel paralyzing, leading to a lack of action. Listed below are quotes and passages I thought seemed to evoke hopefulness within ourselves and our communities:
A passage of To Be of Use by Marge Piercy:
“I want to be with people who submerge
in the task, who go into the fields to harvest
and work in a row and pass the bags along,
who are not parlor generals and field deserters
but move in a common rhythm
when the food must come in or the fire be put out.”
“I want to live on a planet that can hold us. I believe we can all still help it, us, do so. If nothing else, why not try? Why not hope, and then act as if? This is our one wild, lone home; what other choice do we have?”
-R. O. Kwon
A passage of Ode to Dirt by Sharon Old
O dirt,
help us find ways to serve your life,
you who have brought us forth, and fed us,
and who in the end will take us in
and rotate with us, and wobble, and orbit.
A passage from “Begin” by Ayana Elizabeth Johnson and Katharine K. Wilkinson
“Feel
Awake, aware, attuned
Hearts break, souls shake with anxiety
Can't skip this: struggling, mourning, raging, healing
A ferocious love for the planet we call home”
In Beyond Coal by Mary Ann Kitt, the author discusses how grassroots efforts successfully challenged major corporations contributing to fossil fuel consumption. She emphasizes the power of determination in combating the climate crisis and holding big companies accountable. At the end of the essay, she says “Finally, if there’s one overarching message I want to share, this is it: We can do this, and it’s not too late.”
Hope and solutions are crucial in today’s world because they counteract the paralysis that often accompanies discussions about climate change. By focusing on actionable steps and collective efforts, All We Can Save ensures that readers leave not just with knowledge but with the motivation to participate in building a better future.
"How to Save a Planet: A Synopsis
The episode I chose to listen to, called “Ayana Elizabeth Johnson Helps You Find Your Climate Superpower”, talks about how individuals can find their voice in the climate crisis. While many want to help, they do not know how to do it successfully. Johnson reviews her TedTalk speech and mentions the success of the climate action Venn diagram. She emphasizes the importance of the “What are you good at?” circle and encourages listeners to “be graceful with yourselves”. We can do and are a lot more capable than we believe ourselves to be.
Another point Johnson makes is that because we undermine our abilities, we generalize how we can help but lack the passion and drive to put those words into action. Many of us say we're going to talk about climate change more and recycle as much as possible, and this or that, but are we? Are we separating all of our trash? Does our city provide sufficient public garbage cans and separate bins? Not as much as we claim to do.
One thing that stuck with me after living in Barcelona for a month, was that their waste disposal and discipline about recycling were strong. There was a communal and governmental understanding of the importance of taking care of the earth, and to rid of waste with caution and care. Every other corner in the city has industrial-sized waste bins of 4 kinds: (Trash/ Paper and Cardboard/ Plastic, Glass and Cans/ and finally Compost.) Every day people can empty their trash, and the waste trucks come frequently to take the neighborhood waste that is pre-separated because the community values are strong in this sense. I wish that more tourist cities could do this. New York City could especially benefit from this. From the NY Times, only about 17-18% of our waste is recycled.
Using my Venn diagram climate action chart, I kept it a bit vague, but I wanted to write a manifesto of sorts to ground me in my design, in my future work, and to explain it better than “what I can do for the planet” that is filled with empty promises, (not with ill intention, just… things like this aren't instilled in us in these urban spaces. I wanted to center my Climate Action Manifesto on designing spaces for not only humans but also plants, animals, the environment, the elements, and even the cosmos. Design is instilled in all life. We all need structure and shape to interact and make spaces active.
