His devotion to justice and great read on people had the Hat considering Huffepuff for a very long time. Matt is about a perfectly even Gryffinpuff. The split comes from his parents. His father was the toughest beater on the Gryffindor Quidditch team; his mother, a Muggle nun, had all the traits of an honorary Hufflepuff.  

But come on, it’s right in there in his moniker: Daredevil. He even color-codes himself by the Hogwarts founder he most admires. He lost his eyesight because at age nine, he risking his own life to save an elderly Muggle.

The Accident

As a small child, Matt saved a Muggle from a rogue Acromantula, by grabbing his father's wand and levitating a nearby car to smash the eight-legged freak. In the ensuing splatter, an amount of the giant arachnid’s venom got into Matt’s eyes. Acromantula venom is a key ingredient in invisibility potions. The chemistry is complex, but it should not go near your eyeballs. Matt was left blind as a result. However, the magic venom had the side effect of enhancing the magic in his body, causing his other four senses and reflexes to heighten, among other things.

Quidditch Daredevil

Even without eyesight, his skill on the Quidditch field rivals the Ravenclaw seeker Peter Parker. Matt holds none of his House's prejudices, and teams up with Slytherins Frank Castle and the She-Wolf.  Nicodemus Fury has his mad-eye on Matt, since most of the original Avengers have graduated, and Hogwarts still needs defenders. Patronus The shortfin Mako is one of the fastest and most athletic species of sharks, able to jump onto boats! The Mako is a master of echolocation--the sense Matt Murdock is famous for. Like a superhero dressed like a devil, they look evil, but generally does not attack humans. AN: I have not seen a full episode of "Daredevil," but the latest "Spiderman" movie got me intrigued, so I looked up some clips. "She-Hulk" turned me into a Matt Murdock fan. Life is too short for me to commit to another TV series, but if anyone has any specific episodes to recommend, I'm game.

Wow, this is really sad but…many of the s/os in this pile feel awkward in their relationships. But not in a bad way, but because many of them may be dating for the first time, aren't used to being truly loved by those they love or don't have much experience with relationships in general that are healthy. For many, their s/o was raised in dysfunctional and/or toxic families and as a result, they carry a lot of trauma and emotional wounds that leave them feeling like “clumsy idiots” in your relationship. Some examples that illustrate this well are the fact that they are unable to express themselves effectively with words and even more extreme cases in which they would rather you be mad/angry at them than disappointed in them or that you leave them. In their view, they won't be able to handle it if you decide to leave them, so they do everything they can to keep you in their lives – I told you it was sad 😕. But, even with all the fear they felt inside about starting a new relationship, they decided to take the leap and can be sure that it was one of the best things that ever happened to them.

Your s/o perceives that you have self-esteem issues, that you have a distorted self-image and an inferiority complex. In their eyes, you may be trying to achieve an unrealistic/unattainable standard of beauty and this is costing you your mental health and your physical health. From the first moment you met, your s/o couldn't take their eyes off you and with each passing day, they found themselves falling more and more in love with you.

There are two situations in this pile: the first is that you and your s/o are not together as a couple yet and the second is that you have ended your relationship.

Regardless of what your case may be, your s/o are madly in love with you ‍🧎‍♂️ and every day they have to pretend that they are okay even with the fact that you are separated or have to pretend to others around them that they are not in love with you – but as a good gossip, I am here to expose what they really feel MUAHAHA. Seriously, they are so in love with you that they seem drunk with love. When you are together, their heart warms. They may even try to deny it, but they can't help the fact that they want you like they've never wanted anyone in their life so much. Absolutely all they want most is you and they want to give you all of them and everything you want – your wish is your command.

For some of you reading this pile, you and your s/o are still just friends and in their eyes, you know them very well. But, regardless of what your case is, in their view, you have no idea what they are going through. I believe that for s/os who are just your friends, it is becoming more difficult to deal with the fact that they have fallen in love with you and cannot reveal it for fear of rejection or the friendship ending. Some of them may be thinking that you don't feel the same way about them and that they should leave you – poor things, little do they know how wrong they are.

Help, they are really heartbroken for you. Many of them have been in love with you for a long time and they have never been able to get over it. Sometimes they may try to tell themselves that they are over you, but just seeing you makes them fall to their knees – just seeing your eyes, your mouth and especially smelling your perfume. They really want you to want them as much as they want you 😮‍💨.

Many of you reading this pile are not together with your s/o, but the other part already is. And, regardless of your situation, it seems that in your s/o's eyes, they are replaceable in your life. They feel like you will leave them or that you prefer other people – in some ways, they may feel like “the other woman”.

But, none of these scenarios are real and these things are only happening in their minds – these paranoias originate from insecurities they have due to negative experiences in the past, such as being dumped or not being the priority of the person who hurt them. These thoughts make your s/o's heart sink, but as I mentioned earlier, they are creating problems that don't exist - so one piece of advice is to reassure them that you love them, that you are there for them, that you really care and who will not exchange it or leave it. They love you so much and are so afraid of losing you, they are almost begging you not to leave them – even if you have no intention of doing so.

Your s/o can see that you have imposter syndrome even though you try not to give a shit about it – you always feel like you're a fraud in every successful thing you do and in every achievement you achieve, even if it's totally your merit and they want you to learn to recognize that you are good at what you do and that you should give yourself all the credit you deserve!!

Your s/o are fools in love with you – the type where sometimes they even catch themselves looking at you with a passionate smile on their face – and they themselves never believed that this kind of situation would happen to them but, here we are lol. Seriously, if you were the ocean, they would dive deep into you. They love the smell of your perfume, in their eyes it is unforgettable. Was the purpose of this entire mini comic series (Especially part 3) because of panel 9?

YES***

Like Eda Mode's "NO CAPES!", growing up when I used to play sports in school we were not allowed to wear jewelry while playing.

And in my mind, magical dueling is as much of a sport just like any other individual 1-v-1 muggle sport.

When I first saw that duel between MC and Sebastian in which Prof. Hecat pits the two students against each other, I couldn't help but think that if that was me, out of habit, I would jump off the piste (in fencing terms, that is the fencing strip play area you would duel on and I would like to imagine that's also the magical name of the dueling strip play area since to me dueling is just the magical version of fencing) and immediately take my jewelry off because I have no wishes to become the next horror story of how wearing jewelry during sports caused an injury.

And hence why part 1, 2 and 3 of McStareface was born - all because of panel 9.

That's it.

That's the whole reason.

***That and to give a reason for Iñaki to call Sebastian "Stare-y McStareface" since she doesn't know his name yet. She essentially gave him the Boaty McBoatface type of nickname as a stand in until she learned his real name 😂. I needed to make part one in order to get part 2 and 3 where I wanted to be and for that nickname she picked for him to make sense. 🤣 This was more than 3 months in the making 😂🤣😂

You won't be catching Iñaki getting a dumb injury because of her jewelry, but unfortunately (or fortunately I guess in this case -depending which scenario you're looking at due to my MC coming from NY) most people (muggleborns and half-bloods who know muggle culture and seen American media) will probably see her taking her earrings as a sign she's going to get in a serious fight and she's not someone to not play around with. Especially since she's Latina and when you tell people that you're from New York, everyone automatically think's you're from the city lol. Ahh, stereotypes. I didn't mean to accidentally stumble upon it with Iñaki 😅😂.

(I mean she used to be from NYC before she moved to the 'burbs and turned to a suburban kid, but that's not the point XD)

While Iñaki isn't someone to play around, (she has ancient magic - not that anybody knows about it) she REALLY just doesn't want to get injured wearing jewelry while playing magical sports. Heck getting your earrings caught in either clothing, your comb or hair is painful (speaking from experience), I REALLY don't want to imagine how painful it will be in a sports injury. 😬

So she gives it to Natty to hold since she finds her new friendly classmate trustworthy enough to hold it. And Natty is all too pleased to help her new friend.

After all, Natty wants for her new friend, Iñaki, to destroy sweep Sebastian off his feet seeing how Natty couldn't defeat her number one nemesis in Crossed Wands yet. 🤗

Just a girl who wants to support another girl to destroy her dueling rival -just girly things, you know? 🤗🤭😁

Not that Natty is the only one who wants to see the undefeatable Sebastian Sallow go down.

Even if Iñaki doesn't know anything about his dueling record -heck, she doesn't even know who McStareface is- one thing she does know is that she's SOOOOO looking forward to returning the favor of his smack talk in a duel 🤗😁🤗

After all, it's “Perro que ladra no muerde”/ (A dog that barks doesn't bite) talk to her right now. And after her rough entrance to Hogwarts, Iñaki knows how to bite between the dragon, knights and everything not nice she had to face so far up to this point.

So a duel with McStareface should be fun. 🤗

Sorting: Pegasus Carter is certainly brave and chivalrous enough for Gryffindor, but her true specialties are information and craftiness. The Sorting Hat asked young Peggy which House she would prefer, and she stated she wanted whichever one she'd best serve her community in. But don't you care which community that is? the Hat quietly asks inside her head. Wouldn't you like a gold lion on your chest, for all who doubt your abilities to see? "I know my value," young Peggy replies softly. "Anyone else's opinion doesn't matter." That was how the Sorting Hat knew Pegasus Carter belonged in Ravenclaw. After graduating Hogwarts, she even convinced Howard Stark to put the Ravenclaw Eagle in their new organizations' coat of arms, as the Order of the Shield operates around all of Ravenclaw's defining traits. Even after her death, Peggy's wisdom and wit lived on in the back-and-white wizarding photograph that Steve Rogers kept of her in his compass. She was his guide. The War of Grindelwald: ...is where Peggy met her first great love, Stephanos Rogers. They fell in love learning magic and Hogwarts together, and assisting their professors in undercover missions. She mourned when Steve was turned to stone, but her Ravenclaw resolve kept her going. Along with Howard Stark, she co-founded the Order of the Shield, and continued fighting dark magic. One Last Dance: Peggy's romance with fellow Auror Daniel Sousa was just beginning to bloom, when she received a heart-stopping visit at her cottage one night: Steve, back from the dead. Steve somberly explained that he couldn't explain, because he had to preserve the timeline. But he also knew he'd never be able to move on until he had that dance. Choking back tears, Peggy pleaded for an explanation. His voice also cracking, Steve replied, "I'm sorry Peg, but the future, and your life, is one mystery you'll have to solve slowly. But I'll tell you this: I'm gonna be okay. And so are you. You're going to have a legacy, in more ways than one. You have too much love to give and life to live for it all to go to me." They shared a bittersweet dance, a passionate kiss, whispered promises of love, and then parted. Peggy married Daniel Sousa, had children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one fickle niece. She reconnected with Steve in her elderly years; but in her deteriorating state, her recounting of his final visit and dance went dismissed even by him as a fantasy. All of Hogwarts listened to Peggy's eulogy over the wizarding radio, and raised their wands at the end. Peggy Carter's portrait hangs in Professor Nickodemus Fury's office, continuing to offer advice and banter to every new Auror that enters. Wand: "Applewood wands were powerful and best suited to an owner of high aims and ideals, as this wood mixed poorly with Dark Arts. It was said that the possessor of an apple wand would be well-loved and long-lived, Garrick Ollivander often met customers of great personal charm who found their perfect match in an apple wood wand. Apple wand owners often had a talent for conversing with other magical beings in their native tongues." ~ the Harry Potter Wiki Patronus: Cocker Spaniels are thought of as a "ladylike" breed. But these cute, elegant dogs canines original bred as hunting dogs, and shouldn't be underestimated.   AN: I initially planned to do Peggy only after watching her series. But as much as "Agent Carter" intrigues me, there are so many shows I'm trying to keep up with. And in the end, I don't think anything in the show would affect my Sorting or the AU story I cooked up.

Steve Rogers is a Hufflepuff and here's why.

Basically, I agree that he's brave and courageous, but what really drives him, in my opinion, is loyalty to his friends, fairness and doing what’s right, not a thirst for heroics or adventure. In the end of the day, he's willing to lose everything he ever gained from being 'popular' if that means helping his best friend survive or not agreeing with something that goes against his personal sense of justice.

Here's more specific why:

1. Loyalty: Steve isn't just out there risking his life because he has a nerve; he's doing it for his friends, his principles, and his country. The reason he fights so hard isn't for glory or recognition, but because he’s loyal to the people he cares about. He wants them to be safe and happy, and that's what matters to him. Steve’s loyalty is pure and without manipulation. He doesn’t use people to gain an advantage, and he isn’t calculating in his actions. Steve’s loyal to Tony Stark, even after Civil War: though they had a brutal fallout, he still leaves Tony a phone in case he ever needs him, demonstrating that even when their relationship is strained, Steve remains loyal at a fundamental level. When Wanda accidentally causes a tragedy in Lagos, he’s the first to console her, assuring her that her intentions were good and standing by her despite the fallout.

2. Fairness and Justice: Hufflepuffs value fairness, and Steve has that in spades. He stands up for the little guy, against group of bullies before he becomes captain America and fight against an organization like Hydra. Steve opposes Sokovia accords because he believes they undermine individual freedoms and could be used unjustly. He's not cunning about it, he states clearly that he does not agree. This decision highlights his belief in personal autonomy and justice. Steve Rogers’ sense of fairness and justice is a mix of personal loyalty and broader moral principles. While he aims to do what's right, his justice is often tailored to protect his friends and uphold his personal values, even when it conflicts with legal or societal norms

3. Kindness: Throughout the Marvel movies, he treats everyone with respect and compassion, regardless of their status or abilities. In The First Avenger, he makes time for his fellow soldiers, encouraging them and lifting them up rather than seeing himself as "better" after he becomes Captain America. In Civil War, he’s one of the only Avengers who reaches out to Wanda Maximoff, understanding her pain and fear instead of blaming her for what happened in Lagos. He always prioritizes helping people over winning battles or making enemies.

4. He'll Go to the Ends of the Earth for His Friends: He’s willing to take on anyone and everyone to protect the people he loves. His dedication to his friends goes way beyond the call of duty, which is very Hufflepuff. In The Winter Soldier and Civil War, he risks everything—his reputation, alliances, and even his life—to save and support Bucky. This steadfast commitment is deeply Hufflepuff, showing that his true priority is the people he loves rather than the ideals of bravery and adventure.

5. Commitment to Hard Work and Patience: before he had super-soldier abilities, despite being physically weak and often bullied, he kept pushing himself, embodying hard work and determination. Steve started out as the scrappy kid with nothing going for him physically, but he never gave up. He kept pushing himself, showing that Hufflepuff-style hard work and patience. He doesn’t back down, even when it’s tough. He’s just there to do the right thing, even if nobody’s watching. Steve’s journey—from the scrawny kid in Brooklyn to Captain America—proves he’s all about hard work and perseverance, not just getting to the top quickly. He’s never afraid to take the long road if it means achieving something meaningful

6. Dedication to Others Above Himself: While Steve does prioritize his friends, he also consistently sacrifices himself for the greater good. In Endgame, he returns to face Thanos with no expectation of personal gain, ready to lay down his life if it means saving others. Hufflepuffs are known for their willingness to work tirelessly for the benefit of others, and Steve embodies that selflessness perfectly.

At last, I just want to say, that yes, he has some Gryffindor traits. As well as Ravenclaw and Slytherin. But these other traits are not the ones driving him forward.

Ps. If anything I would say, Steve is a great example of Slytherpuff. I think he has a mix of these two houses. But that's for another discussion.
