PERSONAL RANT
I am absolutely LIVID that The Bad Batch and The Mandalorian are airing on the same day. I was annoyed when they announced it, but now that I’m living it, it’s so much worse than I thought it would be.
I love both shows so much, but I need time to process each new episode. Having two episodes to watch that are completely unrelated to each other is making processing much more difficult. I could pick one for a different day, but I can’t go anywhere on the internet until I watch them both because of spoilers. This sucks so much.
Sometimes being autistic can make things so frustrating.

I think if anyone in the SOBR cast is autistic it’s probably Vincent. I can’t explain what about him gives me autism vibes but it’s true. He’s very particular, maybe that’s why.
I do think it’s funny that Beau was originally based on a character I personally perceive as super autistic and then Beau himself just. Is not autistic. He just isn’t. But I could see him having adhd though. It’d honestly explain a lot about him

As a neurodivergent/autistic individual, I almost feel obligated to speak about the entire Nick situation.
Stimming is the repetitive action of a certain movement or vocalizations, which people who have autism, or neurodevelopment conditions; self-stimulation. To many people stimming is used as a variety of collecting emotions, and calming down a state of mind.
Though his comment didn’t personally affect myself, working with autistic children and volunteering with people with the same mental pattern as you really gives you a clear view on just how serious words can impact someone. With the triplets means and internet presence, they should absolutely be educating themselves on such matters.
Being neurodivergent isn’t a choice, or an option. Though his comment may have hurt or affected people apart of this community, I think we need to give him some clarity on the situation.
People aren’t born educated on these topics, and they can’t learn until they realize.
Age is definitely a factor, and while Nick being a 21 year old grown man should know how certain words can affect certain groups of people, we’re all human. We make mistakes, and we learn. In no way should Nick be getting death threats, body shamed, or being called slurs.
It’s childish, and dehumanizing.
His wrongs don’t make ours any less than his. This is a situation that we need to pass on from, and hopefully Nick has the maturity and respect to make an apology for those who may have been affected or offended by his comment.
- Mimi <3
