Anyway, for those who've kept up with my Rudolf story you probably remember me mentioning that my Rudolf/Rudolph is a hybird between two fictional deer species in my story- a Luminos deer and an Avios deer (his mom Primrose is a Luminos deer, his dad Blitzen is an Avios deer). This is my illustration of what the Luminos deer look like.

As I've said before they are nocturnal white-tailed deer with bioluminescent glowing body parts (that their ancestors obtained from eating magical moss years ago), which is where Rudolf inherited his glowing nose from.

Avios deer, on the other hand, are descended from perytons and domesticated by Santa to pull his sleigh and resemble regular reindeer/caribou (which is why I'm not going to do a ref sheet for them), which is where Rudolf got his flight abilities from. My designs for the Avios and Luminos deer species also deconstructs how often white tailed deer and reindeer get mixed up during the holidays, I figured why not make my Rudolph a hybrid between both?
