Just once, once, I want a disaster movie that doesn't have all humans except the main cast turn into monsters instantly. It's just not how humans work. Quite the opposite in fact, in a survival situation, where the normal pressures of capitalism no longer apply, humans revert to their natural form of CARING FOR EACH OTHER! Not saying that violence and looting and stuff won't happen, but it won't be the norm.

What would a democratic-led government shutdown give Trump and Putin?

Trump is not held accountable for the economy - Immediately, Trump and his surrogates and Faux News would be running around talking about how the government shutdown is the ONLY cause of the economy going to shit.

Trump can call the "economic collapse" a national emergency - he gets the power to spend government money how ever he wants; including paying $100 Billion to Elon (aka DOGE) for consulting fees, to make up for the fortune he's lost.

Trump could use the same "national emergency" argument to shutter every federal government agency that he dislikes.

All aid to Ukraine would seize immediately - Putin would use the opportunity given to him by republicans (not just Trump) to ramp up the destruction of civilian property and the murder of tens of thousands of women and children republicans were all very happy to send back to Ukraine to die.

All aid to any other country would stop - Trump gets what he really wanted, to have the power to reallocate all the money the government has to spend. Court orders, the checks from the judiciary, matter less than nothing to republicans, as we have clearly seen.

Trump and all republicans PRAYED for Schumer and democrats to force a government shutdown. Schumer wasn't stupid enough to fall for their bullshit, be like Schumer.

So subsequent to being a robodebt victim I sort of fell into this funk of ‘not only is there no point in trying, but in fact it’s better if I don’t, bc every time I have ever tried to do something good it’s backfired horrifically, so I’m just going to make like a tree and exist, no trying to do anything for myself, just drink some water, get some sunlight, and that is all’. And the logical part of me is just like ‘ok cool yeah, obviously they’re mistaken, someone just got their wires crossed, it’ll work out’, but that’s exactly what I told myself the last time a whole bunch of fabricated data was flying around my government accounts bc of robodebt, so I already know what’s coming. Volodymyr "Balls of Steel" Zelenskyy is Smarter than Putin and Donny "Captain Bone Spurs" Trump Thought

Zelenskyy knew that the real deal Putin and Donny the Con struck behind closed doors was for Putin to keep the territories in eastern Ukraine that he has already "taken." And for Donny the Con to sell the remaining territory to his "friends" in the west.

It would be such a humiliating defeat for the Ukrainian people. To lose the eastern part of their country and for the remaining territory to become a protectorate of America. Whatever remained of Ukraine would be a country in name only, as they would not be allowed to govern themselves and elect their own representatives without Donny's and Putin's approval.

It has been said many times in the history of humanity, but worth nothing again, "a bad peace is worse than war."

Trump and Vance wanted Zelenskyy to decide between life and liberty, not recognizing that these two rights are inalienable and indivisible.

Zelenskyy made his choice loud and clear for all the world to hear!
