The interviewer asked the Ferrari driver who seems quite impressed to the asked question, she had been waiting for this question for far too long now.

"Hmm, some things to expect are sexism and dating rumours, like tons of it! " the audience and her fellow drivers had laughed on what the 23 year old driver had said "Hey it's true though, Sexism is expected since you have a career in male dominated industry, people will doubt you, hate on you and will analyze whatever you are doing, even if you are getting so much hate from everyone don't let it get in your head." mutters surrounded the room as the Ferrari continued to answer the question

"Dating scandals or rumours will be your doom while being a female formula 1 driver, you cannot be seen hanging out with male drivers it will automaticaly be a headline on many news outlet, like look at these gentlemens I had been reported to either be dating or being engaged to these four which is unfortunate for me" The girl had her palm point to the drivers seating on her left side, Lewis had whispered something to Daniel's right ear, which causes the Australian to speak on the microphone

"I swear she can star as the player on one of the sza's song called, what is it called again?" Lando suddenly spoke to his mic in which the Mercedes driver answered

Lewis announced to the audience while 'comforting' the younger McLaren driver.

God I am so sick of the way that Human Rights groups and commissions defend transwoman to their dying breath. A group of lesbians in Australia asked The Australian Human Rights Commission for permission to hold events for female born lesbians only (real lesbians). The preliminary decision is to reject their request because it "may lead to the further exclusion of and discrimination against same-sex attracted transgender women. Transgender women are a group who have and continue to experience discrimination, harassment and social exclusion.” which is so laughable. These transwomen who want access to these lesbian spaces are anything but same sex attracted. They are straight men who think that they have the power to claim something that isn't theirs, which clearly they can because society and Human Rights groups don't give a shit about the rights of LGB people or women. They would rather grant delusional straight men privileges to disadvantage lesbians then actually stand up for human rights. Continue to face discrimination huh? I call bullshit because everyone is too busy kissing their ass to discriminate against or exclude them. They of course mean the very fine grip that some women and LGB people are trying to maintain on our safe spaces and our very beings.

I also hate the way that they have manipulated and incorrectly used language to push their agenda. I guess that's the classic postmodernist move though, I say it and therefore it is.

I really hope that on further consideration the Lesbian Action Group succeeds.

The Wandjinas [Australian Aboriginal mythology]!

In the belief system of the native Aboriginal people of Kimberley, Western Australia, the peculiar rock paintings called ‘Wandjina’ play a significant cultural role. The depicted spirits have a very distinct appearance with a mouthless face, large eyes and their signature headdress.

Long before humans existed, the Wandjinas populated the earth along with Ungud, a divine being. These mysterious spirits are each responsible for the creation of a specific feature of nature and the world we live in.

And so these beings wandered around the world, shaping it into the landscape we can see today. When their work was done, each Wandjina wandered into a cave and died, transforming into the painting. This is actually an important distinction: though I’m using the word ‘painting’ in this article, traditional Aboriginal belief holds that the Wandjinas were never actually painted by someone. Instead, they appeared on the stone walls as the reincarnation of the Wandjina’s living form.

As such, it is important that these paintings are renewed every year (this typically happens at the end of the dry season), for if a painting is lost then the spirit of that Wandjina will die. If the Wandjinas are lost or destroyed, the world would end and there would be no more rain; the Earth would become a barren desert landscape and the pillars that hold up the heavens will break.

Renewing a painting of a female Wandjina in particular will replenish the fertility of the people, which supposedly causes an increase in births. It is actually unknown why Wandjina are always depicted without mouths, but this is an important characteristic as native people claim it would be unthinkable to add one. Anthropologists have speculated that this symbolizes the spirits’ life-giving nature: they always create, and never consume.

With how much focus she has received since the beginning of the Krakoa era, what are your thoughts on Storm ? And do you agree on the perception that she's becoming something of a Mary Sue?

I’m going to start with a mini-rant about the Mary Sue.

To the extent that there is any validity to the term at all, it is solely and exclusively within the realm of fanfiction. A Mary Sue is an OC (original character) whose supposed annoying omni-competence is really secondary to the main problem with the character, which is that they warp the narrative away from the main characters of the source material - Kirk and Spock or Picard and Data stop doing things that drive the plot, and instead just stand around asking "where's Poochie?"

Outside of fanfiction and in the realm of the media that gives rise to fanfiction, a prominent character who is incredibly talented and powerful and who makes the plot center around them is called a fucking protagonist - so no, Rey isn’t a Mary Sue, Carol Danvers isn’t a Mary Sue, Katniss Everdeen isn't a Mary Sue - none of them are Mary Sues and anyone who claims otherwise is showing that they have deep-seated Issues with female protagonists in their fiction.

Is Storm a Mary Sue?

Even if we weren't talking about the most prominent black woman character in fiction, I would consider this question pretty damn offensive, both because no one would ever ask this question about a male character and - in a franchise packed to the gills with hyper-powerful women who make the plots revolve around them and who even get the complementary Love Triangle - no one sends me asks about any of those (white) women.

But to answer your question: no, Storm is not a Mary Sue - she's the main character of the X-Men.

See, when Chris Claremont took over X-Men in 1975, he did so with a brand-new cast of characters, the so-called "All-New, All-Different X-Men." In no small part because they were far more diverse and more colorful than the O5 (suburban WASPs one and all), most of these characters would become break-out stars and the core of the X-Men from that day to this.

However, Claremont didn't vibe with all of the All-New X-Men equally: he had Sunfire quit the team (repeatedly), he killed off Thunderbird for shock value (a death that has only been reversed this last year), he would have killed off Wolverine if John Byrne hadn't stopped him (Claremont would later turn around on Logan once he worked out his voice), etc.

But one character that he vibed with right from the beginning was Ororo Monroe. From the very beginning, Claremont's Storm is the most powerful of the All-New X-Men, both in terms of her powers and in terms of her personality, being the only person who can face down Logan. At the same time, she's complicated by her struggles with crippling claustrophobia caused by the Suez Crisis-induced trauma of her childhood.

After a few years, Claremont tired of the African Nature Goddess routine and had Storm experience an almost total transformation that nonetheless was completely grounded in her character. Feeling overly limited by the total emotional control required of her powers, Ororo undergoes a subtextual lesbian awakening in Tokyo's underground punk scene and emerges out the other side a free spirit, leader of the X-Men, and Queen of the Morlocks.

In his most audacious move in LifeDeath I and II, Claremont had Storm lose her powers thanks to Forge's anti-mutant tech - and then defeat Cyclops in a duel for command of the X-Men without her powers - and then regain her powers in an epic cycle that saw the X-Men die and be reborn as outlaw heroes in the Australian Outback.

In sum, Storm was clearly Claremont's favorite character and, as a result had the most interesting character journey over his 16-year run on X-Men.

And then Storm basically lay fallow for almost thirty years. In no small part due to the pioneering work done by Claremont with this character, later writers were frankly too intimidated to touch the character and so starting in the 90s, Storm was increasingly sidelined in the comics in favor of the characters that were commercially "hot" at the time - Wolverine and Gambit, especially.

In the 2000s, the most significant thing to happen to Storm was her marriage to T'challa. While I think Reggie Hudlin had mostly good intentions with this decision - he wanted to create a black power couple at Marvel and thus put together Marvel's most prominent black man and black woman into a relationship - the result was to make Storm a supporting character in Black Panther comics, rather than a main character in X-Men comics.

I would argue that it is only recently with the advent of Al Ewing as a major writer in the X-office with S.W.O.R.D, X-Men Red, and Storm and the Brotherhood of Mutants that we've gotten a writer who's not afraid to write Storm as she deserves to be written - as the most powerful of the X-Men, the Regent of Arrako and the Voice of Sol, the standard-bearer of Magneto's legacy, and a woman trying to balance the demands of two planets and her own desires.

On 29 September 1940, a mid-air collision occurred over Brocklesby, New South Wales, Australia. The accident was unusual in that the aircraft involved, two Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Avro Ansons of No. 2 Service Flying Training School, remained locked together after colliding, and then landed safely.

On 11 May 1812, at about 5:15 pm, Spencer Perceval, the prime minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, was shot dead in the lobby of the House of Commons by John Bellingham, a Liverpool merchant with a grievance against the government. The Dorset Ooser (/ˈoʊsər/) is a wooden head that featured in the 19th-century folk culture of Melbury Osmond, a village in the southwestern English county of Dorset. The first years of her life were spent wandering the endless wilds of her homeland, surrounded by the creatures and spirits that called it home.    She was like a whisper in the woods, moving between the trees, learning to shift into animal forms and speak the language of plants.    For decades, Arwen was content with these silent companions—the larks that sang in her ear, the foxes that nuzzled her hand, the ancient oaks that whispered of long-forgotten times.    A particularly bold songbird even chose her as its friend, giving her the name “Arwen Woodlark.”    She wore it with quiet pride, as it was the only name she’d ever known.

Arwen discovered she was different from other fey.    Where others were content to dwell forever in the Feywild, hidden from the mortal realms, she felt a yearning for something she couldn’t name.    Her curiosity grew like a new sapling each day, until she began to wonder about the worlds beyond her own.    She started studying fragments of lore from travelers and wandering spirits, picking up knowledge of distant realms where strange beings—mortals—lived brief, flickering lives.    She listened with fascination to stories of forests she had never touched, mountains that scraped skies she had never seen, cities that bustled with sounds and smells unknown to her.

It was the Feywild itself that eventually showed her the way, as if answering her longing with a gift.    Through a twist of the veil between worlds, Arwen found she could step into the mortal realm, as easily as one might step through a curtain.    The first time she crossed over, she marveled at everything—the weight of the air, the sounds of birds she didn’t recognize, the scent of earth that was somehow richer and more grounded than in the Feywild.    But her joy was quickly tempered by a harsh lesson.

The first mortal she met was a wandering scholar, captivated by her beauty before she even had the chance to speak.    But before she could warn him, she saw a strange glaze cloud his eyes, and he let out a strangled gasp.    She didn’t understand at first, but when he stumbled blindly forward, she realized with horror that he could no longer see.    It was then she learned that her beauty, so natural to the Feywild, was dangerous here.    A nymph’s face could mesmerize, even blind, a mortal if they weren’t prepared—and in her naivete, she had no way to shield them from it    ( She learns to control this rather well, and when she can’t, lesser restoration does wonders to remove blindness lol ).

Heartbroken by the harm she’d caused, Arwen withdrew from towns and villages, keeping mostly to the wilderness where her presence wouldn’t hurt anyone.    She devoted herself to practicing control over her aura.    For many years, her companions remained animals, who were drawn to her because her presence filled them with a feeling of peace.    Birds nestled in her hair, wild foxes slept beside her, and she moved through forests like a shadow, unseen by mortal eyes.

In her solitude, she continued to learn the ways of the mortal world.    She gathered discarded books from the edges of villages, pouring over them by moonlight until she taught herself enough of the common tongue to understand the basics of human language and society.    She was enchanted by their ideas, their stories, the strange ways in which mortals thought and felt and dreamed.    Yet, she also learned of their dangers.    

One night, as she wandered through the woods with her insect-like wings visible, a group of men saw her and saw her as a magical creature of great value—something to be captured and sold.    They chased her, hoping to profit off her “parts” by selling them to hags or wizards, and though she escaped, the experience left her wary.    From that day on, she kept her wings hidden when near mortal settlements, pretending to be nothing more than an elf.

It was during her explorations of the mortal realm that Arwen stumbled upon Baldur’s Gate.    The city was unlike anything she had ever seen—a living entity of stone and noise, filled with too many people, all rushing and bustling in ways she didn’t understand.    She wandered the streets in awe, both overwhelmed and fascinated.    Every corner seemed to hold a new mystery, every face a new story.    But before she could fully comprehend the strangeness of it all, disaster struck.

In the chaos of the mind flayer invasion, Arwen was captured by creatures unlike any she’d ever encountered.    She was infected with a mind flayer tadpole, a parasite that threatened to consume her from within and turn her into something monstrous.   

She realized that she would need to journey with strangers also infected to find a cure, to understand what had been done to her and how she might stop it.    For the first time, she would have to trust mortals, to navigate their world closely, despite the risks it posed to her and to them.    She keeps her true nature hidden, pretending to be an elf, fearful that if they knew the truth, they would see her as nothing more than a fey creature—a thing to be feared, or worse, a prize to be captured.

Yet, beneath her anxiety and the unfamiliar weight of mortality pressing upon her, Arwen feels a glimmer of excitement.    Here, at last, is her chance to truly understand the lives of mortals.    She moves through her new companions with a gentle curiosity, studying their mannerisms, learning their stories, and marveling at their resilience. In her eyes, each of them is as wondrous as any creature in the Feywild, a spark of something fleeting and beautiful.    She sees herself as their protector, and though she does not always understand their ways, she’s determined to keep them safe.

𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Arwen is likely to be in agreement with Lae’zel on most things in the beginning when it comes to the tadpole, since she seems to know everything about it and Arwen knows absolutely nothing.    However, unlike Lae’zel, it is nearly impossible for Arwen to pass by people who need help. 

While infected with the mindflayer tadpole, Arwen is unable to teleport to the Feywild, something that utterly devastates her when she realizes.   The Feywild is her home, her mother.    Which makes her urgency to remove it all the greater.    Good luck convincing her to consume more tadpoles too. 

A nymph’s kisses have healing properties, so whenever someone is hurt, she’s always trying to kiss them better. Nothing sexual or affectionate about it really, it’s just her thing.

Naturally, she smells of roses, lavender, and honeysuckle.

Dieter Bravo hated a lot of people; people in general were stupid, fake, and self-centred. Up and coming actor Jagar Aldritch was the latest person on his list of people he hated. His totally non-biased opinion of the hip new actor was that that he was a pretentious prick.

He generally avoided reading any type of media relating about other actors, especially this jerk, except for this one article. Only because it was about a film you were working on: Hyde Away with Dr. J was a new modern take on Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. This stupid actor with an even stupider name spent the whole article waffling on about going all method. Dieter thought actors who went method were compensating for something.

“I struggled with the juxtaposition of the duality of the character but managed to adhere to the contrast of man and monster”

What the fuck did that mean? And not once did he mention the hours of sitting in the makeup chair while you worked your magic to create half his character. Total prick.

Dieter just happened to be visiting on set for the last day of filming. He was planning to surprise you with a little celebration, and actual celebration of dinner at a nice restaurant, not his normal celebration. He grumbled around looking for you, then he heard your beautiful laughter.

You were there with that prick, being absolutely professional, wiping your elaborate makeup off his stupid chiselled face.

Damn it, you were being a ray of sunshine while that idiot flashed his probably veneered teeth at you.

He may have said that a bit too firmly. And his arm was very firmly around your waist.

The testosterone was so thick you could spread it like butter on toast.

“I guess I’ll see you at the premiere then!”

That prick known as Jagar Aldritch then grabbed a cookie out of your Tupperware, took a small bite and waived it as he walked away.

Dieter glared after him, just to make sure that prick didn’t think of coming back. You decided to start putting your stuff away.

“Dieter, do you want to help me?”

That stopped his angry glaring. He might as well be the amazing boyfriend he claimed he was. He actually proved very helpful, although he did everything with a grumpy pout on your face. Once everything was put away, you decided to address the grumpy elephant in the room.

“Dieter, are you jealous of Mr. Aldritch?”

“What? No” he scoffed.

You looked at him the way a schoolteacher looked at a naughty schoolboy.

“Dieter Bravo, you may be an award-winning actor, but you are a terrible liar”

He hangs his head; he felt scolded.

“Okay maybe. You were being nice to him”

“I’m nice to everyone”

“He’s a pretentious prick!”

“Yes, I know”

He perked his head up.

“You do?”

“Of course, it’s obvious. He asked if I was Australian but then proceeded to go on about all the beaches he visited, and I’ve been to none of them, and he pronounced a bunch of them wrong. And I clearly put in more research into his character than he did. Did you know he hasn’t even read the book? Didn’t want it to interfere with his character or something”
