Remember in TBONA when Evangeline finds Auroras diary, and in the book Aurora has repeated again and again that she has cursed it so if anyone but her reads it they die. Evangeline doesnt really believe it to be cursed and neither did i at first. But I looked at the wording again at it is written:

Do not read unless you wish to die shortly thereafter. I have cursed this book!

And Evangeline does die somewhat shortly after reading the diary, and with what we learn about Aurora in the ACFTL, I do believe Aurora succsesfully cursed the diary.
