Okay so in queen wasp, the scene where both Audrey and Chloé bond over being mean and nasty to others which might have led to Chloé being awful in the future (not defending her actions), it only happens because Marinette did kinda manipulated them. I could wrong of course and you might need to fact check me on that one but still, it be funny if the other characters found out about it.

Marinette Dupain-Cheng deserves better, let's begin.

This is super fucking long for no reason.

ALSO, there is charater bashing, cursing, and I would love to hear your opinions in the comments as this is what is post is for!

Firstly, Marinette Dupain-Cheng:

Marinette Dupain-Cheng is no matter how much that fucking theme song says it, NOT your average girl.

Firstly she is the daughter of the two most famous bakers in paris, that is shown during the series as we see a long line of people froming outside the bakery as the seasons progress. From this the Dupain-Cheng's have a substantial amount of money as we can presume. And she has a famous uncle in Shanghai, and during this we see her parents pay for her to go jest because she wants too. If we take a look at her grandmother we can see that she travels the world with her motorcycle, although this may be an in expensive way of travel compared to the normal plane cost; over the years of her doing this it will add up. And seeing how little we know of sabeins family and how Marinette is the only child, we can presume that she will have a big inheritance when she's older. Basically she has her life set for her the day she was born.

She not only can from a rich back-round but also made her own back-round for her self as a self though (seeing that we never seen her attend actual classes) and Purely hand made designer. She not only made designs for jagged stone but presumably has commissions from Clara Nightingale, has be recognized by the Queen of fashion, Audrey Bourgeois (controllingassmotherfuckingchildneglecter) And the one a only Gabriel Agreste (hawkbitch). She also made costumes for their school play, and did commissioms for outside people/friends. She also knows a lot of famous people/friends with the children of said people. Like alya's mother who is the head chef at Andrea hotel. Alya also runs a pretty famous blog called they ladyblog witch highlights the attacks on paris and has core footage for the hero's. This can be said for the reset of the classes future cause as of right now, they have something that, already is successful. Like max, he built a robot, helped successfully bring back dinesours and has already has planned projects for the future. Rose, she is the leading female singer for the kitty section and also has made her own perfume. Nino, he made a play at the school and is a DJ and has performed for so major events. Nathalie, he and Marc makes comics about Paris's superhero situation and has already gained a large following as we can presume. Then there is Luka son of jagged stone and lead singer in the kitty section. His sister juleka daughter of jagged stone and and been dabbled in the modeling industry. We all know about Adrien and Cholé, but what about Sabrina? Well, she is the daughter of the police chief in Paris. Kim is a Olympic swimmer, Alix a professional skatter and the Kagami, an professional and Olympic fencer.

Needless to say she has quite the backing.

Now, let's ge into the actual reason we're here.

𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝚙𝚛����𝚋𝚕𝚎𝚖𝚜.

•firstly she babysit for her classmates little siblings and Nadia and she also makes commission (as mentioned above)

•She provides emotional support the characters and makes sure they don't get akumatized. Not only that, she also listens to understand and gives advice to the person. Even BEFORE the akumas.

•She helps ALOT in the bakery ever since she was young and takes her time to make, box, and give out pastries so those who she thinks need it. It also helps her parents out and bring in new customers. She bakes for special events for her classmates like brithdays.

•She is also the class president and is in charge of everything in the class, wether it be, fundraisers, class trips, brithday party's , class hangout, so on so forth.

•Lila. Just fucking Lila Rossi who's names predicated her fate. She made marinette life a living hell even after she left, through CHOLÉ (hang on we are getting their) And got her expelled, turned the class on her, attempting to turn her mother as well and threaten her to keep her mouth shut. SHE ALSO FUCKING AKUMATIZED HER SELF TO GET BACK AT HER.

•CHOLÉ BOURGEOISIE. She TOURNAMENTED Marinette for nearly SIX FUCKING YEARS. This is why I HATE CHOLÉ redemption arc. She bullied, embarrassed, and destroyed Marinette in more ways than one. She told everyone Marinette had a crush on Kim, thus getting Marinette embarrassed after Kim openly mocks her WITH cholé. She destroyed her self-esteem by this and by also at every little moment, put her down whenever Marinette had a single ounce of pride in herself. She JOINS Lila to make her life a living hell and keep her away from Adrien.

•She had to watch, one by one, as herclassmates fell for Lila's lies, had to watch Lila lie and framed her, watch their disgust and disappointment. Watch as them turn against her, watch as they slowly froze her out. Only to act as if nothing happened when Lila had left for one of her "trips" and when she was exposed as a lying mole. Now for them to come retreating back, even now, not trusting her as they used to. Not even her parents.

•she can't even cry, scream, or shout about how much they hurt her because she is the "right example. " The sign of hope that they can look up to as she has never been akumatized. She is the class representive, the golden child, the sweetest and the most forgiving girl that always owns up to her mistakes. She is the everyday ladybug.

•Marinette can't lean or rely on anyone. Who would their be to help her? She is supposed to be the person OTHER people can rely on, that they can talk to advice on what they can do. To help and comfort THEM in THEIR time of need. Not Marinette she is the therapist.

•After all of this, you bet your ass that she needs therapy. She went through so much seeing her family, friends, classmates and her citizens go through so much pain, so much anger that they can't even express at the fear of being akumatized. She watched her city, burn, flood, explode, controlled, over and over again. She watched as the ones she loved would die before her eyes knowing, knowing that she can't do anything about it.

𝚃𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚘𝚗𝚎 𝚗𝚎𝚎𝚍𝚜 𝚊𝚗 𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚛𝚎 𝚜𝚎𝚙𝚎𝚛𝚊𝚝𝚎 𝚜𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗-

○Ladybug fights akumas almost every other day.

○She can bearly express her emotions both in and out of battle as "She is ladybug".

○She has to handle and take care of all the kwamis. 19 MINIATURE GODS by her self without being caught. Then had to deal with the responsibility of being a guardian and most likely has to go through training in the future. Not to mention the possibility of more gardians visiting in the future

○She has to deal with reporters everywhere she is asking questions upon questions after her long and tiresome battles. Such questions even step into her bongeries, making her uncomfortable, but they don't care, and she doesn't want to come off a bad and have her citizens lose belief in her. Not to mention that one episode with Nadia when she interviewed the two heroes and accused them of being together. Honestly, the joke chat noir had made as well was a little too far seeing they were only a few months into being heroes.. and she was what? 11?

○Then there is chaton would matter of factly keeps trying to make advancies towards her and getting in her personal space and keeps persisting on a data and how their are "meant to be" and "their the only ones for each other" "are bond to be together" I don't even think chat knows he doing this. However I doubt that theory as well as he guilt trips and manipulates ladybug into feeling bad about not showing up on dates (even though she states that she wouldn't be as to attend) and when rejecting him, she sates her reasons clearly but guilt trips her more (by staying that he understands but he still loves her AND Threatened to stop being chat) making her feel bad. During this he doesn't listen to her, legit ignores her and is snarky towards her and in general he's a bitchy pussy cat in a few episodes. HE EVENS THREATS PLAGG TO TELL HIM WHAT WRONG WITH LADYBUG OR ELSE HE'S TAKING OF THE RING. Honestly, I love adrien. I really do. But the boy needs some major help, okay

○Then there's a hawkbitch who decided to target children to bring back his dead wife WHO WILLINGLY DIED TO BRING ADRIEN INTO THE WORLD AS A SETIMONSTER Akumatized the entire world to come after ladybug (mostly likely knowing that it'll probably kill her in the process) AND THEN THERE IS NATALIE– He teams up with a child and that child did something he's been trying to do for the past 3 years. Then He sends Lila after her make her life miserable. Then he sacrificed himself to be with Emily, RIGHT IN FRONT OF MARINETTE. Imagine your tournamenter of your city turns out to be the person you aspired to be when you grow up- And then jest fucking suicides in front of you.

○Has to fight no matter what, time, place, in side and outside suit. What the actual Fuck she can't even take a break.

○The ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD IS ON HER SHOULDERS. (Even tikki said that)

○She was thrown into being a hero with no training what so ever. (I am looking at you master Fu)

○She has to watch her city be destroyed over and over again. The place where she grew up, the people she loved, she can't even save them as she has to focus on the akumatized victim.

○She had to watch people die in front her eyes. Bruned, drowned, decapitated, frozen, stabbed, crushed. Then right after see them walk and talk as if nothing ever happened.

○Not to mention how many times she had to risk her life over and over again for this city.

○Risk her identity and safety of those around her is she is ever found out.

○she can't even ask for goddamn help mentally because of her identity as a hero and was betrayed by someone she thought she can trust. She has to keep this all to her self while being Paris's knight and shinning Amour.

○Also, chat blanc. That- that episode was fucking traumatising. Also if you didnt realise after this episode, marinette started to act differently. This is because her tendency to over think grew from there. She started to overthink more because she realised that one action may have a chain reaction that she might not be aware of. She started to really overthink from there about her actions and responses.

○Fuck hawkbitch and felix. Natalie deserves better. Adrien needs a mental evaluation and marinette need to go on vacation.

i would like to say I don't not have any thing against the characters it is jest my opinion on what I've seen through out the show, if you do not agree please jest ignore it or comment on this post! I would love to hear your reasons and responses!

The disappointment of the characterisation of the Bourgeois family in Miraculous Ladybug.

This essay/post will be talking about my feelings regarding the characterisation of Bourgeois family, as I'm doing a rewrite fanfiction of Miraculous and the Bourgeois family plays an extremely important part in my rewrite.

Getting this out of the way with now because I don't want to focus on her in this post, and because she won't be in my rewrite at all, I don't like Zoe. In the canon of the show all she serves as is a replacement for Chloe and a wielder of the Bee Miraculous. Unfortunately in the canon show, she is tied to the miraculous and Chloe in such a way that she cannot be talked about with bringing Chloe salt/bashing into the discussion, and has no true character of her own out of just being nice. There are others in the show who already could've filled the role much better. Zoe is far better written in fanon and fanfiction. But I don't want to be beating a long dead horse so there are other posts you can read to see Zoe's poor implementation in the show, and absolutely great fanfictions you can read that gives her a developed character if you like her. With that being said lets get onto the main essay.

Who are the Bourgeois family?

In the show the Bourgeois family are an upper class family that are said to hold a lot of influence. The family consists of Andre Bourgeois; the patriarch of the family who owns a hotel, and is also the mayor of Paris. Audrey Bourgeois; the matriarch of the family and a famous fashion critic. And Chloe Bourgeois; the child of the family and the temporary bee miraculous holder. The Bourgeois family can be considered a large secondary example of Miraculous's wasted potential, and it's inability to truly give a satisfying conclusion to any concept they've tried to execute during it's run. And some will say this is just the end of an arc and season 6 will continue and deliver. But it won't, especially considering Miraculous' record with delivering on expected plotlines it isn't promising in the slightest and I do not hold hope for season 6. Despite this, I'm rather interested in the Bourgeois family, and they are my favourite part of Miraculous making it even more disappointing to see the outcome of the plotline involving them.

Audrey Bourgeois-

I'm doing Audrey Bourgeois first because despite having a lot to say about all the family members, I have the least to say about Audrey.

Audrey is characterised as a harsh fashion critic who has nothing kind to say about anyone around her. Her kind words are only reserved for someone who can truly impress her, examples being Marinette and Gabriel. Marinette being shown to the audience and Gabriel being told to the audience. She is responsible for launching Gabriel into fame as a fashion designer. Audrey isn't even remotely nice to her own family. She abandons them mostly and seems to return only when work arises in Paris. And even then she belittles both her husband and Chloe constantly.

Something I find interesting in fanfiction for Miraculous Ladybug is that before we got any glimpse of who Audrey is. Everyone assumed she'd died and they either called her Simone or Julia, Julie or Juliette. And this gave depth to both Chloe, and Andre. This will be discussed again later.

Audrey's character has at least stayed consistent throughout Miraculous' ever-increasing run, which is a miracle considering Miraculous issues with characterisation, among other issues. However at the same time it's quite odd considering unlike Andre who got more developed regarding his past and what he wants, Audrey remains quite flat character-wise with only glimpses of there possibly something else to her. I think that Audrey despite staying consistent and explaining a lot about Chloe and Andre, she's still wasted potential. In one of the episodes characters such as Gabriel, Natalie and and I think maybe Tomoe are shown watching important story information on a tv. This would seemingly hint that Audrey had something to do with Gabriel. Which is believable considering Audrey's personality and previous appearances with Gabriel. However as of season 5 this has not been expanded upon in anyway whatsoever and like I keep saying I doubt it will be in season 6 or future seasons if they get anymore. This makes me believe that Audrey should've been expanded upon as a villain, she could've stolen a miraculous and possibly became a main villain. She's close to Gabriel, she's got the perfect personality for it; the only thing she needed to be a good villain was a decent motivation and I easily could've believed her becoming a villain if she'd been given decent motivation. She's already controlling and demanding, so Zoe could've never been introduced and you could've had it so she wants ultimate control over Andre and Chloe while placing herself as some sort of evil Queen. And that's all I really have to say about Audrey. Hell! I've already seen a few posts where people state that Audrey should've taken over as mayor after Andre, which makes a hell of a lot more sense then Chloe doing it. It's not exactly the same because she's the stepmother, but something I think Audrey should've been a bit like but far more toned down for the child audience is like Julia Cotton from Hellraiser. She's just so perfect as a example of someone willing to go to extremes in order to achieve their desires. Hell it's already there in her akuma, Style Queen! Just make her an evil queen, it wouldn't have been that hard and then we wouldn't have to deal with that mess we got with them attempting to make Gabriel sympathetic but then being shown him horribly abusing his son with glee at every opportunity he gets. You could keep Gabriel and Natalie sympathetic and make Audrey even more despicable than she is.

Also Audrey is clearly abusive, and in 2023 we should not need to have debates over whether she is because some people say she's just cruel. No she's abusive, it's clearly abuse.

Chloe Bourgeois-

Chloe is definitely my favourite character out of the Bourgeois family and Miraculous as a whole, and while her characterisation post season 3 does sadden and disappoint me, it doesn't anger me like what the writers did with Andre.

Chloe starts the series as nothing more than an obnoxious bully who torments her classmates. When we get to season 2 we get to see Chloe receive more depth as a character and see how her parents helped her in becoming the person she is today. Then season 3 happened and we see Miracle Queen. Now I don't think Miracle Queen is completely horrid, It makes sense that Chloe may begin to regress or backslide into her unhealthy habits. And I've even seen people still redeem her with miracle queen being in their stories. What pisses me off about Miracle Queen, especially when people online talk about it, is that they just seem to forget about Gabriel akumatising Audrey and Andre to use as blackmail against Chloe. Like yes at the end of the day, Chloe still makes the decision to become Miracle Queen and do what she did. But you cannot deny that a fully grown man who should know better, put the two people she presumably cared about the most at this point in danger in order to blackmail her. He cornered her on the balcony and essentially railroaded her into making that decision. Like what was she going to do if she said no, she can't fight Hawkmoth without a miraculous and even if she'd tried he might've legitimately hurt her or her parents to win. Here again we see fanfics just knock the show out of the water, with many people deciding to make Chloe trick Hawkmoth into giving her the miraculous and then she just runs away to get help. Also Marinette shouldn't have gotten involved in Chloe's family drama, like why did she think it was a good idea to do what she did in Queen wasp. Just why?

Something else regarding Chloe's character arc that just genuinely confuses me is that during season 2 it's obvious in episodes like Zombizou, Style Queen, Queen Wasp and Malediktator is that they're written by other writers who have differing opinions on Chloe to Thomas Astruc. And now I think Thomas was busy on a different project while this was was being written, which is fine. But what confuses me is that surely Thomas could've looked over the episode script and maybe said to change it. Instead of just letting a character he clearly does not like get development he also didn't like and then arguing with Chloe fans and Miraculous fans who may not like Chloe but understand her character arc was butchered as well as others, on twitter over it.

As well as this is season 5, I think it's revealed season 1-5 of Miraculous takes place over 1 school year. In France the average school year is about 10 months long lasting from September to late June early July. This means each season could technically take place over about 2 months. This gives Chloe 2-4 months at most to redeem herself. Which is just too much to expect of her to try and completely redeem herself and undo a lifetime of unhealthy behaviours in that short of a timespan. No wonder Miracle Queen happened, she hasn't had the proper support to try and unlearn those behaviours or redeem herself. And it makes Andre giving her over to her mother even more saddening/rage enducing, because Zoe has been around for the same time Chloe was given to try and unlearn her healthy behaviours. So Andre has abandoned his daughter who's he risen for her entire 13-14 year life for some child he's known for about 3 months at best.

Then season 4 and 5 begin the endless parade of Chloe Salt/Bashing in order to prop up Zoe. As well as the butchering of other characters, to continue hammering in that point, such as Andre, but we'll get to him later. Now I'm not saying I'm completely against the idea of evil Chloe, there are some brilliant fanfics out there with Chloe just either hamming it up as an evil villain or treated as a tragic villain, who's fall from grace is a pure tradegy. And I love it both because it treats Chloe with the seriousness she deserves, the majority of fanfics treat the abuse she's suffered with seriousness and not as some joke like the serious does. You want a absolutely brilliant Chloe Bourgeois fanfic read "Float like a Butterfly, Sting like a Bee" on ao3 it's just so good and I can't recommend it enough.

Also on the topic of redemptions Sabrina, Felix, Natalie and especially Gabriel shouldn't gotten redemptions. Gabriel, Sabrina and Felix don't show any remorse for their actions, in fact they all show glee in their actions apart from Natalie. But even then none of them truly face any punishments for their actions and sure Gabriel doesn't get to enjoy Emilie being back alive, but he still gets away with his numerous crimes.

As a final note on Chloe's development, it's been said by some people before it's quite harmful that Chloe doesn't get treated with the seriousness that she deserves and is one of the only villains not given a redemption as well as not being what is considered a "perfect" or "idealised" victim of abuse like Adrien is. And as someone who has lashed out at others due to issues with authoritive figures in the past (not to the extent Chloe has thought, especially with the bullying and wealth, I'm also not French) I do relate to Chloe in a small way. And this makes it harder for me personally, and it really is just harmful because it might give kids who have lashed out like her due to similar or the same issues the same idea that they don't deserve love or a guardian who can actually care for them in the way they need, as children.

I'm not saying give Chloe a redemption, she just should've been treat with the seriousness she needed.

Gettting back on track lets talk about the final member of the Bourgeois family.

Andre Bourgeois-

Oh Andre, where do I begin with him, in canon.

For seasons 1 to 3 he's mainly Chloe's nervous father and enabler. Then we get a bit of depth in season 4 and 5 about him wanting to be a director but not getting to due to Audrey and politics. Then in season 5 he lets Audrey take Chloe.

A deleted part of the script was revealed in which originally he gave Chloe to Audrey which in itself is horrific because he knows how Audrey is. Not only has she subjected Chloe to verbal abuse but him as well. This would be changed in the series to him just letting Audrey take Chloe, which is just as worse. These are just as bad because either way he's trying to absolve himself of any responsibility of what happened with Chloe which he is equally responsible for as he is Chloe's main enabler. And you know I actually had some hope for him in canon that he'd realise it was time to as someone else brilliantly put it "ditch the bitch" and forge a better relationship with Chloe, but that never happened. I guess that's what I get for having hope for Miraculous's canon.

It legitimately pisses me off so fucking much than in canon he gets to wash his hands clean of the whole problem with Chloe.

Now fanon Andre is so much better than his Canon counterpart and thinking about it now, Fanon Andre has always been better than his canon counterpart.

Bringing back up the whole thing about fanfics that pre-date Audrey is that it gives not only Chloe but Andre more depth. These fanfics typically paint the picture that Andre is a man that closed off not only by politics but the death of his wife and because he's not in tune with his own emotions, he can't help Chloe so instead of ignoring her grief like her father, Chloe is lashing out instead.

Even fanon versions of Andre that are more far more closed off, corrupt, and evil are much more enjoyable to read about than canon Andre, and have more depth. Something about Canon Andre just makes him even more loathsome and detestable then his many often better fanon versions. And when he does get redeemed in fanon it's just so good, because the people writing him, understand what makes his character have actual depth to him and make him realise his faults in a satisfying way that gives him a good redemption.

Maybe it was just me projecting the fanon versions of Andre onto the Canon version that made my disappointment and anger so much worse. But either way his overall canon characterisation is disappointing.

Again if you want to a fanfic that has Andre be a good antagonist, read "Chloe and the Bee" by @anxresi it isn't complete but what is there is just brilliant. And If you'd prefer to read a fanfiction where Andre is trying his best to be a good parent to Chloe read "Float like a Butterfly....Sting like a Bee" by Bookmonkey on ao3. They're both such amazing fanfics.

Conclusion-

Overall the characterisation of the Bourgeois family within the canon of the actual show is just a neatly packaged example of Miraculous' many issues such as bad writing, poor pacing, inconsistent characterisation and either attempting to poorly redeem abusers who should know better or just letting them get away without any consequences whatsoever.

Queen's Bride AU Prompt: Queen's Bride, while holding Chloé, is bashing André and Audrey for being terrible parents. Ladybug and Chat Noir saw this and they're be like "Alix's right!"

Queen’s Bride made sure to hold Chloé as gently and lovingly as possible while bushing her parents.

"YOU TWO SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES! I CAN'T EVEN SAY I THINK ONE OF YOU IS WORSE THAN THE OTHER!!"

Both Bourgeois parents stayed absolutely quiet.

"Audrey, the ONLY reason you decided to stay in Paris was because you thought Chloé was a bitch just like you! So, if she turned out to be as sweet as she was when younger, would you have abandoned her?!"

Queen's Bride to quickly turns to André with a look of pure hatred on her face.

"And YOU, Mr. I'm-gonna-spoil-my-daughter-rotten-and-completely-disown-her-when-putting-up-with-her-makes-me-look-bad! The MOST responsible thing you've done was stop being Mayor, cause how the fuck are you gonna take care of the people of Paris? Like your daughter?!"

My assumptions were correct, the salters just couldn’t let go of the past after Lila’s debut and the infamous season 3 episode. No wonder I still see these bozos still plague here, YouTube and whatever social media site exists. They might as well make hatedoms of fictional characters from other series/franchise look sane and reasonable.

Yep. I be avoiding searching up or typing Lila Rossi anywhere besides here (or Discord servers I’m in or Telegram channels) these days. And the funny part is the things they jeered about are ignored when similar or surpassing crap happens in their faces, when she’s not present, happened episodes earlier or later. Ya got Animaestro and The Party Crasher. Earlier you could say Frozer. And later you can say Crocoduel, Gabriel Agreste (The Episode) or Rocketear. I could say of even later, Evolution, Intuition, or non canon Plastic Special. There also exists The NY Special or Shanghai Special. Even The Christmas Special where Ladybug completely disregards what Adrien said and proceeded to attempt merking Santa Claus (which could have been a normal Parisian). I could list many more episodes but nah.

They are disgustingly choosey and are…

They are the same bozos that are aware or should know that a woman died because people chased her to her death for wanting to see more of Lila. Tried to deal with it but you know, unfortunately… And now (or rather since that leak happened,) pests want to disregard what Lila said to Gabriel Agreste in Oni-Chan and desire Lila to be a predo and encourage that egregious thing or thought to become canon by writers and too many buffoons discard the ramifications of that and seem to want to be lame and ignore that what’s being said against her is disgusting.

It’s ultimate level of justifying their delusions because ignoring and let her go is too much work. Them believing their stupid actions to be righteous. They’re even more funny to me considering Miraculous Secrets Lila when Marinette (delusionally) believes she can Adrien could still save her (instead of leave her alone and not make things worse like Adrien said in the infamous episode).

This grotesque thirst to want to be inherently right against her while disregarding all else. They hated what was being twisted or done against Chloe & what happened to Chloe. They can sadly somewhat acknowledge that Marinette was the idiot to Kagami (but definitely mostly only at the end of Mr. Pigeon 72 because Kagami finally supported the cage coded ship). They somewhat can admit when Luka or mostly Juleka is being a punching bag. Despite all of that, they some reason are allergic to Lila and want Marinette to be predestined as right for all, ironically, which is amusing because that discards above what they can perceive and Adrien or Alya.

Due to their tunnel vision of only seeing Lila, they should just admit they love Gabuse, Maribuse, Adult Abuse Apologia winners, Derision, Deflagration, Revolution, Recreation, Omnicidal Victor and his apologists. How about they also admit that they are in awe for Tomoe Tsurugi, Audrey Bourgeois, Nathalie failing Emilie and Emilie’s legacy, Both Andres, Theo Barbot.

And how about they plea to adoring Adrien Kagami Juleka Luka Chloe and Ironically Marinette suffering. How about they also admit that they secretly love the writers they say they say they hate, Jeremy Zag, and Ezra Weisz. They should make it easier for themselves and confess that they secretly love that incident that made Cristina Vee leave Twitter. How about they finally just announce they are happy that wife to be, never will be.

“Let’s get something straight,” Audrey cut off, lifting her hand and crossing her legs. “You were—are a mistake. A bad stain that I have to cover up now. That is all you are and will be. Now, why don’t you run along, but stay inside? It’s already a pain to deal with you and Claudine’s little fits and I'll be damned if I have to deal with these irritating reporters,” she sighed, dismissing Zoe with a wave of her hand.

Audrey’s empire was falling.

Word of her affair had reached the drama world; tabloids and news articles already had her name and face plastered on the front page. It was embarrassing, seeing a faceless man—a nobody that stepped forward to expose Audrey for her devious acts. She never expected her fling to come back and expose their little one-time affair; their one-night of passion.

She was stressed; hair falling out as she nursed her red wine, forehead pressed against the cold glass table. Andre was mad, and Claudia—Chloe wasn’t speaking to her. Those ungrateful little ingrates would dare ignore her, the most powerful woman in both Paris and the fashion world? They would pay sooner or later for their insolence; right now, she needed to deal with the news tabloid.

Pushing away the empty glass, Audrey got herself dressed and dolled up to deal with the rumors and the press. She could easily lie and weasel her way out of it; no one would believe a fool after she told her side of the story. After all, Audrey was perfection reincarnated. She had to maintain a flawless image and she would be damned if an old fling ruined her perfect empire.

Sitting in front of the mirror, Audrey caught a glimpse of her daughter looking at her. Chloe’s blue eyes were puffy and red, hands visibly shaking in anger with makeup running down her face as she stood in the doorway. Audrey sighed, turning to face her child, crossing her legs and smoothing out the wrinkles in her satin robe. “What are you doing, Charlotte?”

“My name is Chloe,” the teen snapped, squeezing her fists.

“That’s what I said,” Audrey scoffed.

“No, it’s not. You’ve never called me by my name correctly. Not once have you taken me seriously,” Chloe huffed, rubbing her eyes, not caring that she smudged her ruined eyeliner and eyeshadow.

Audrey massaged her temples, exhaling through her nostrils. “Oh, if you’re going to throw one of your temper tantrums, it can wait later. I have important things to take care of.”

Chloe laughed, letting the tears run freely down her face as she shook her head. Her voice sounded so sad and empty as she stared at her mother with hurt swimming her blue eyes. “Now, you have important business? NOW, you have pressing matters?” Chloe mocked, smacking her lips while her voice trembled. “I guess Daddy and I weren’t that important, right? Sucking another guy off was more important than your family, huh?”

Smack!

Red blossomed across Chloe’s cheek as Audrey stood across from her daughter. Her palm stung from the sharp blow delivered as her chest heaved. “How dare you open your mouth and say such a horrible thing,” Audrey hissed. “I have done nothing but support this family! I’m the only one who seems to have any self-respect around here! Your father is weak-willed and you are not better! Get out of my sight if you have nothing useful to say to me!”

The young girl tenderly touched her cheek, flinching at the pain but remained rooted to the spot. She looked up at her mother with those hateful eyes, blinking back her tears. “You have done nothing but tell me how bored you were,” Chloe stated, letting her hands fall to the side. “I was the chore—the job you didn’t want to do.”

Chloe inhaled, bottom lip trembling as she pressed her palm against her chest. Her face softened as tears spilled down the curve of her burning cheeks. “To me,” she trailed off, wetting her bottom lip. “To me, you meant everything, but I guess I wasn’t good enough for us. I guess having this luxurious life wasn’t good enough for the queen, was it? You hated us so much that you wanted another daughter,” she bitterly laughed before leaving Audrey, slamming the door behind her.

Whatever. Chloe would have to get over herself sooner or later if she wanted Audrey’s attention.

Zipping up her dress, Audrey slapped her signature hat on her head, glancing at herself in the mirror. A good amount of cleavage was out, leaving nothing to the imagination. This way, she could tease the report and distract everyone from the matter at hand. She smiled to herself, adoring herself in the mirror before sashaying out of the room.

The press was eating up her words. All Audrey had to do was flash a smile here, produce a fake tear there, and the act was sold. She couldn’t help but smile behind her handkerchief. These idiots—these absolute morons didn’t even bother to research (not that they would find anything that would condemn her, anyway) and it showed.

The fashion queen cleared her throat, dabbing the corners of her eyes. “Please, disregard these rumors. That is all they are and nothing more. A sad and silly little attempt to ruin my life and to destroy the empire I have carefully built,” she said, her voice calm while she straightened her shoulders. “This, Mr. Lee, is nothing more than a little leech who wants to insert himself into my life to get my money and ruin my family. I love them dearly and would never dream of hurting them.”

That seemed to do the trick.

As the reporters and camera crew left to type out the next newspaper, Audrey rolled her eyes and left without another word. Well, that part was a complete lie as she screamed at an employee who managed to bump into her. Ugh, honestly, who let these flea-bitten rats in here?

The situation would be swept under the rug and no one would bug her about the affair or the supposed love child she has. Even if Audrey did, she hasn’t seen them in years now had they attempted to get in touch with her, therefore the child doesn’t exist. It was as simple as that.

“Someone better have the car pulled up or I’m deducting your pay. Again,” Audrey snapped, slipping on her white glasses and sashaying out of the conference room. Ugh, she needed a strawberry martini and a good, long soak. That and two painkillers to ease her headache.

Time discovers the truth sooner or later, and oh did Audrey pay in spades.

Her daughter, Zoe, stood before her, arms gripping her sides while she chewed on her bottom lip. Audrey had to lower her glasses to get a look at this child. She looked about the same age as Chloe, maybe a bit younger if memory serves her well. Zoe clearly had her father’s soft face and gentle features while she had those Bourgeois blue eyes and signature blonde hair.

So, this was the product of her affair. Interesting.

Audrey turned up her nose, returning to her alcoholic beverage.

“Aren’t you going to say something? Anything at all?” Zoe asked quietly.

Audrey scoffed, turning back to Zoe. “Now, why would I do a silly thing like that?” she sneered, sitting her drink to the side. “I have nothing to say to you, Zariah— Zoe,” she corrected.

Zoe’s mouth gaped open like a fish before she closed it again. “But—but I’m your daughter. I haven’t seen you in years, Mama. Aren’t you happy to see me?” Zoe asked with a slight whimper.

“Let’s get something straight,” Audrey cut off, lifting her hand and crossing her legs. “You were—are a mistake. A bad stain that I have to cover up now. That is all you are and will be. Zoe doesn’t hesitate to leave, struggling to swallow back her tears.

If Audrey paid more attention to her daughters. If she had noticed, she would have heard the faint giggling behind the door once she returned to her drink, or even noticed the bulge in Zoe’s pocket that was recording their conversation the entire time.

Her empire was destroyed.

Zoe and Chloe had single-handedly destroyed her entire career. Tabloids and talk shows were buzzing about the leaked audio, critiquing Audrey’s horrible parenting and how selfish she was. They talked and talked about how the Bourgeois must have been suffering and how Chloe—the daughter that was constantly in Audrey’s care (well, in her care whenever Audrey would return to Paris)—exhibited signs of a neglected and abused child and how they were too blind to see it.

Sponsorships were canceled and she lost several partnerships due to the sudden backlash. Everything was crumbling around her; Audrey was losing control, and her kingdom was slipping through her fingers.

The biggest slap to the face was the document sliding across the table. The bold red letters stared her in the face as she looked up at Andre with wide, horrified eyes while her mouth gaped open. “Divorce? You want a fucking divorce?” Audrey spat, snatching up the papers and waving them in Andre’s face.

“Yes, that’s what I want, Audrey,” Andre said, swallowing the lump in his throat. “After Zoe arrived, I was going to forgive you. I was going to forgive you for cheating on me because I know I’m not the husband you wanted. I’m no Gabriel Agreste after all.”

“Clearly,” Audrey snorted.

Andre continued, sitting down at the table. “But then, I realized that I have been a horrible father. I’ve let you walk all over me and in turn, that allowed Chloe to walk all over me because she learned the behavior from you and I did nothing to correct it. I allowed her to be spoiled and I am to blame for not being a good parent.” He paused, taking a slow breath. “I was scared of you, Audrey. I’m your husband and you frighten me when you get into one of your fits so I never said anything. I put up with the abuse and that was so normalized that our daughter—our little girl is exhibiting the same behavior and I don’t want that for her.”

Audrey rolled her eyes, folding her arms across her chest and kicking up her legs. She popped her lips, “Poor Andre. You just want me to feel sorry for you because you can’t stand up for yourself. You cower and hide and run away like the scared fuck you are.”

Standing up from her seat, Audrey snatched a pen from the cap of assorted pens and pencils. With sloppy writing, she signed the documents with a triumphant laugh and just laughed like she won the fucking lottery. “I’ll be free from you! I’ll no longer be married to a fat, pathetic loser who can barely stand up for himself! The only thing you were good for was boosting my career and my fashion line! Not even the sex was that good!” she cackled, holding a hand to her chest.

Andre did nothing but smile, taking the pen and signing his name. “I’ll be taking full custody of Chloe. You may have visitation rights every other weekend. Chloe is not obligated to spend any time with you if she chooses not to. I’ll be in contact with Mr. Lee so we can discuss how the girls can bond more,” he explained.

Audrey didn’t even care. All she heard was freedom, endless sex, and a life without kids. She didn’t even hear Andre wish her farewell or the door shutting behind him.

Once the divorce was finalized, Audrey moved back to New York while Andre arranged a living space for Mr. Lee, and even paid for his plane ticket to France. The girls were much happier without Audrey constantly berating them and abusing them. Andre was a lot happier and could properly parent his daughter and make up for all the lost time.

As for Audrey, her sales never recovered. No one wanted to work with an abuser—sure, few did but people didn’t want to be caught with her or else, their sales would do poorly. It was infuriating for Audrey, unable to find good partners or even good help these days. She wanted to tear out her hair and scream half the time. Nothing was working and nothing numbed the cruel sting of failure.

Most days, she was drunk, nursing a hard liquor in her office while barking out orders. Audrey was a fucking wreck and a complete slob now, plummeting to the bottom of the charts. Gabriel had taken her title as Queen of Fashion—King of Fashion is what he was called and it pissed her off.

Her empire was gone.

I think more, because it would truly be an interesting piece. With more of the teens, the more people would see how the Austins really live. And with their unit plan, I say Normal would find parent(s) and get questioning with Tester hiding and deciding where they stand as good or bad, then after it's decided either Angel or Demon strike. Sound good? And if you can through in some Redeemed!Chloe with sisterly bonding after Audrey is outed for child hating on her, that'd be good. If it isn't too much, of course.

The Queen of Fashion vs the King of Rock PART ONE (AKA: The fight over Marinette)

Okay, way back when, I had this idea of Audrey, Jagged, and eventually Gabriel going at it to steal Marinette away from the other two. You can find the whole idea here.

This is the beginning of a very long story.

Audrey glared down at the screen in front of her with the intention to set it ablaze. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing. How could Gabriel have fallen so low? She knew Gabriel was a no-nonsense person, so there had to be a reason. Maybe he finally snapped. The loss of his wife was taking its toll. He must be having some weird form of a midlife-crisis. It was the only explanation that made sense to her. Why else would someone like Gabriel Agreste, a man who built his fashion empire and reputation (with some help from her) from the bottom up, decide to blow it all on a teenage girl who possessed absolutely no talent? There was so much going on. Her hair, oh lord, her hair. Whoever told her that look was cute or attractive needed to be slapped in the face with the largest fashion magazine in the world. Or perhaps, a decent amount of common sense. Ponytails were fine and simple, but to have three was just stupid. Her color scheme was horrendous, and it was painfully obvious to someone like Audrey that the girl had no idea how to model. She stuck out like a sore thumb next to Adrien. While Adrien’s face may say he’s enjoying it, his eyes were screaming for help. The girl, however, kept one facial expression that she probably thought was attractive, but it screamed nothing but desperate. Audrey knew she had better things to with her time, but she couldn’t let it go. There was no possible way to be in the right state of mind when you decide to announce a trainwreck of a teenage girl as your new muse. 

“It’s ridiculous.” Audrey muttered aloud as she began scrolling away from the media post, “Utterly ridiculous. I bet I could find someone worthy-someone who actually has talent.” Her eyes brightened with an idea, “After all, if Gabriel can have a teenage muse, why can’t I?”

With a smirk on her face, Audrey typed on her phone and laughed.

Jagged Stone hardly ever paid attention to social media. Rumors, lies, fake news, and lord knows what else was all over that toxic form of entertainment. Penny usually kept track of his social media following because it wasn’t his style. He preferred to go out there and meet people. Conversations, interviews, and any other publicity that involved social interaction was something he adored. So when he was relaxing in his hotel with coffee in hand, he was somewhat confused when Penny walked in with her phone in hand and a blank expression on her face.  

“Penny? What are you looking at?” Jagged raised an eyebrow as he took a sip from his drink.

“It isn't the tabloids, that’s for sure,” Penny said with a shake of her head, “I can’t wrap my head around this post.” She narrowed her eyebrows in confusion as she spoke, “Apparently Audrey Bourgeois wants to make Marinette her “teenage muse” and-”

A sound like a cat hacking up a hairball escaped the rock star as he choked on his beverage. “What?!” 

Penny glanced at him coughing up his lungs before looking back at her phone. “Apparently she thinks that-”

“No!” Jagged protested as he finally found his words and managed to push past the burning in the back of his throat, “I will not allow that high held brat anywhere near my niece!”

“Jagged-”

“Marinette deserves to have her work known and I will be dead before I let someone like Audrey ruin her. Do you understand me, Penny? All it takes is one little thing the Queen of Fashion doesn’t agree with and she will chop Marinette’s head clean off her shoulders! I won’t allow that!”

“But Jagged-”

“How un-rock n’ roll would that be? Penny, we need a plan.” The rock star stood up and began pacing, “Marinette is such a sweet girl and it is our duty to protect her. Fashion is a lot more brutal than the music industry, so we have to be smart.”

“Well yes, but fashion and music aren’t the same. If you want to get Marinette more out there then perhaps a publicity stunt would work better?”

“Publicity?” The rock star stopped pacing. There were a few things Marinette was known for. If it wasn’t her kindness, then it was her achievements. And Jagged had the honor of being involved in two of them. The young teenager had designed his album cover and his favorite pair of sunglasses. He wasn’t too fond of his plan if it meant entering a pit of vipers, but he was all about rock n’ roll and knew that this was the best way to go about it. He knew Marinette was capable of amazing things, and perhaps, that all she needed was another push. “I’ve got it!” Jagged shouted as he pulled out his phone and opened up every social media he owned. 

“What are you doing?” Penny asked in concern more than confusion. 

Jagged smiled as he finished his work, “I’m giving Marinette the publicity she deserves, of course. My little dudette needs a more positive vibe instead of pure negativity like Audrey.” 

Penny quickly pulled up Jagged’s account and let out a sigh in exasperation, “Marinette Dupain-Cheng is one of my favorite designers that I’ve ever worked with and I would be honored to work with her again sometime in the near future. The girl is wicked talented, she’s designed the cover for my award-winning album and my favorite pair of shades. I know for a fact this girl is going places.”  Penny rubbed her temples at her boss’ wide smile, “Do you understand you just started a war with Audrey Bourgeois?”  

“Ah, and that’s the thing. You see, Penny, I don’t plan on losing,” Jagged smirked. 

And so began the war for Marinette. Or as the media called it, “The Queen of Fashion vs the King of Rock”. There were tweets, Facebook posts, interviews, and any other media imaginable that featured Audrey or Jagged saying that Marinette would work with them and that the other didn’t deserve her. Marinette, however, had absolutely no idea what was going on between two of Paris’ most famous citizens. Probably because the two celebrities made a silent agreement not to physically drag Marinette into it. Even so, due to the fact that Lila continued spreading her lies like wildfire, Marinette had no desire to be on social media where Lila never seemed to disappear. 

It was only in this situation where ignorance turned out to be anything other than bliss. When Marinette walked into class Monday morning, the class was in chaos. There were three different groups of shouting. Chole led one as she screamed something about her mom. Although, the group only consisted of her and Sabrina. Alya led the opposing group, consisting of herself, Nino, Kim, and Alix, where shouts of Jagged Stone could be heard. The last group, those who were in neither, seemed to be fighting both sides in favor of calm and quiet. 

"Mari!" Alya brightened at the sight of the smaller girl. Marinette froze in place as the whole class went silent.

"Dupain-Cheng!" Chloe's excited shout followed. 

"Uh…" Marinette blinked in surprise, "Did I miss something?" She swore she made it five minutes early. Unless the bell rang when the whole class was shouting? 

"Did you miss something?" Alix chuckled but the playfulness quickly fell as she realized Marinette wasn't joking.

"Dudette, have you not seen the news?" Nino gave her a concerned look.

"I was running late." Marinette admitted, "And I've been busy all weekend finishing the commissions that were due this week." 

"Seriously?" Kim scoffed in disbelief, "You've been off the internet all weekend?"

"Girl," Alya gave a soft laugh, "you picked the worst possible time to do so."

"Um, how co-"

"Marinette!" A shrill shriek came from behind the bluenette, cutting off any reply. 

"Oh, hey, Lila," Alya greeted.

"How could you?" Lila ignored the class and glared daggers at the bluenette who could only blink in confusion. 

"Wha-What? I'm sorry, I'm really confused." Marinette shook her head, "What exactly-"

"Don't play dumb!" Lila shouted at her. This was more than for show. Instead of crocodile tears, the Italian was practically releasing steam from her nostrils. "You couldn't deal with me modeling with Adrien, so you went and involved Audrey Bourgeois and Jagged Stone! I can't believe you would go that low!" 

"Uh, Lila." Alya withheld the urge to tear Lila a new one for the accusation toward Marinette. Instead, the reporter grimaced at the glare sent in her direction, "It isn't actually Mari's fault."

Marinette let out a breath she hadn't even been aware she was holding in. Since the incident of her being expelled, the bluenette feared things between her and the class would be worse. However, a rumor, more like Mr. Damocles bursting into the classroom to announce Marinette's return as well as Lila's lying disease, luckily got around so Lila incidents were less common.

"She's right." Chloe scoffed and stuck her nose in the air. Marinette almost passed out. First, no one takes Lila's side, and now Chloe of all people just defended her. Was there an akuma attack she missed? "Mommy was the one that started it." 

"What?" Came the confused reply from Marinette and Lila. Marinette glanced around the classroom and quickly came to the startling conclusion that there wasn't an akuma. 

"Oh, don't be stupid." Chloe crossed her arms as she looked down at the two girls in front of the class. "Adrien's dad signed Lila to his brand. Well my mom saw it and decided that she wanted to work with a teenager herself. So she picked Dupain-Cheng. It blew up all over Twitter after she announced it." A calculating look fell onto her face as she looked at Marinette. "But why Jagged Stone got involved is beyond my understanding."

"Your mom is the worst!" Alya shouted, "Jagged is right to protect her!"

"And how would you know?" Chloe snarled at the reporter.

"Chole, she literally dragged you on live television." Kim winced, "I think that speaks for itself."

"That was in the past." Chole waved it off, "Dupain-Cheng knows my mother has changed."

"With you, at least," Alix muttered. 

"You had nothing to do with this?" Lila glanced at Marinette. The liar still blamed the bluenette for the sudden steal of attention, but she quickly realized Marinette was perfectly capable of making herself look bad. If she made it seem like all is forgiven, then she might have another chance to make the designer's life a living hell once again. 

"I swear, I didn't involve myself." Marinette confessed, "I wouldn't do that to anybody on purpose. I'm sorry, Lila." 

"No, I'm sorry." The Italian resisted the urge to make a dramatic scene and paint Marinette as the villain. "I shouldn't have blown up like that." 

"Great, now that you two are done, Dupain-Cheng!" Chloe smiled at Marinette. "Between my mother and Jagged Stone, who is your personal favorite?"

"Obviously, Jagged," Alix smirked.

"No one asked you!" Chole screamed. 

"Come on, Chloe, Jagged pretty much adopted her as his niece." Alya snickered, "Your mom can't beat that."

"Chloe's Mom is involved with fashion, and Jagged Stone is not," Sabrina argued.

"That's not a very good argument dudette," Nino chuckled.

"Yeah, considering Mari didn't go to New York with her," Kim smirked.

"Enough!" Chloe shrieked and pointed to Marinette. "Your opinion! Now!"

"I…" Marinette felt her chest tighten. This was a lot. "I-uh… actually can't pick one."

"Of course," Alya gave a light laugh and shook her head.

"What?" Chloe screamed out in a mix of anger and confusion.

"Look, they're just too different for me to compare fairly," Marinette explained with a weak smile. 

"So if we asked you to compare Audrey Bourgeois and Gabriel Agreste, it'd be easier, right?" Alix smirked. 

"W-what?" Marinette paled. Why out of all days did the universe decide to drop her into the spotlight? She really didn't need the attention right now especially since Lila looked like she wanted to tear her own hair out. She prayed to Tikki that an akuma would not appear anytime in the near future.

"Hey, guys!" Adrien shouted as he ran into the classroom with the bell ringing behind him. Saved by the literal bell. Marinette gave a quick sigh of relief as she saw Mlle Bustier enter. 

"Oh, thank goodness." Marinette heavily sat down in her seat next to Alya. This was enough excitement for one morning, and an akuma didn't even need to be involved.

"This conversation isn't over, girl." Alya gently patted the bluenette's arm, "When you get a chance, look it up. I want to know all your thoughts!"

It was at lunch when Marinette finally managed to understand what the fuss around her had been about. From what she gathered, Audrey claimed her as her teenage muse as a response to Gabriel claiming Lila as his (something about how a disease people thought she had made her in inspiration) which caused the bluenette to mentally kick Lila for being the cause, even though no one could've predicted Audrey's actions. Just minutes after Audrey posted her tweet, Jagged Stone declared war on Audrey over Marinette. The young designer had to mask the anxiety rising within her, which wasn't easy considering the fact The Queen of Fashion vs the King of Rock was trending all over the place and her name directly following.

"So?" Alya asked as she grinned from ear to ear. 

"I'm speechless," Marinette answered in a mix of emotions. The civilian part of herself told her to be excited and amazed but was ultimately overpowered by the Ladybug part which was freaking out. This whole thing was bad. Very bad. With all the attention on her, it would be a lot harder to keep her identity a secret. Finding a place to transform would take a lot longer because now everyone was noticing Marinette.

"I get it, girl." Alya gave a sympathetic smile, "But if you plan on making it big, then perhaps this type of exposure is good for you."

"This isn't what I-wait. I mean it's good but it's also bad." Marinette quickly panicked once she saw the confusion on Alya's face, "Wait, wait, wait, I mean bad because everyone will notice me and I'm not very keen on being in having so much attention on me." Her eyes widened at how stupid it sounded. She was the class rep, and she had been in this type of spotlight before if the whole thing with designing Jagged Stone's award-winning album cover and favorite pair of shades counted. "It's a lot to take in," the bluenette finally sighed. "Not really sure how I should feel."

"You should be honored." Alya gave a playful shove, "It isn't every day you get thrown into situations like this."

"True." Marinette giggled and pushed her anxiety down. She had a moment to enjoy this whole thing. "It'll all blow over soon anyways."

She would soon learn how wrong she was.

Audrey fires Lila

The idea came out of nowhere. Also, I know a few of you have sent me fic requests yesterday. Don’t worry. I’ll post them in the following days. I just really wanted to post this fic ASAP.

Audrey attends Gabriel’s fashion show, where Lila will be walking her first runway.

Audrey watches the show, humming her opinions.

But when Lila walks out, Audrey makes an audible gag and makes a comment to Nathalie to “fire that walking disaster”.

Her critic was heard by everyone.

Lila flushed with humiliation but continued to walk back to backstage.

After the show, Audrey assumes Gabriel already fired Lila but does make a comment on “What were you thinking hiring that disaster, Gabriel?”

Chloe explains that Lila was supposed to be Gabriel’s muse.

Audrey lowered her sunglasses and raised her eyebrow. “I know you’ve been secluding yourself for a while now, Gabriel, but surely you haven’t forgotten the public view?”

Adrien: what do you mean?

Audrey: not only does Gabriel exhibit poor taste in models by choosing a girl who thinks sausages are a good fashion statement (when I saw her hair, I was immediately reminded of a butcher’s store), but he can also be seen as a pedophile. How else would the public think that such an unfashionable girl got the job? Thank goodness your father fired her before the press really wrote an angle about that. Gabriel can just claim it was for Adrien’s sake to model with a classmate or whatever.

Gabriel stilled then looked at Nathalie.

Nathalie texted Lila. “You’re fired.”

Gabriel then works on fixing his reputation by using Audrey’s advice.

Lila is furious at Audrey and gets akumatized into Chameleon. Her plan was to target Adrien then Chloe then Audrey.

Lila gets Adrien alone; but since he dislikes her, he doesn’t fall for her “pity-me” routine and pushes her away before she can kiss him.

That method having failed. Lila tries to give Chloe the cheek kiss instead, as a friendly farewell. Chloe dislikes Lila too, and refuses to have the fashion disaster touch her. This time her push causes Lila’s lips to land on the floor. Chameleon becomes a floor tile.

Audrey: I find it concerning how this akuma is a sexual harasser.

Adrien gets Ladybug. Chloé asks if Ladybug is really friends with this sexual harasser.

Ladybug: not really. I barely know the girl!

Chloe: Lila is a liar! I knew it! (No, she didn’t)

Anyway, the media for the fashion show got the whole thing.

Lila’s fashion show is ruined. She was fired, Gabriel claimed her model show was so Adrien could spend more time with his friends but this was a one-time thing. And now people accuse Lila of being a sexual harasser, especially to Adrien in their joint shoots.

Gabriel did ask Adrien if Lila made him uncomfortable.

Adrien’s answer: YES! But they are ‘friends’ so he can’t complain.

Gabriel can. He files a restraining order on Lila for Adrien.

Because of the spotlight on her daughter, Mrs Rossi claims Lila and Adrien were dating. Except Adrien had never posed with her before in any pictures but the one she sent to Kagami. And now the school is calling the embassy hotline instead of her cellphone.

Lila is sent to a different class who are more skeptical about this harasser’s claims. The whole school knows she is a liar now thanks to Ladybug.

Caline explains the lying disease to her angry class after they apologized to Marinette.

Alya actually fact checks. There is no such thing. Lila is just a compulsive liar who took them all for a ride.

Caline: I understand you are upset, but that’s no reason to accuse Lila.

Alya: I’m telling the truth. And you aren’t even listening.

Rose: since Lila is a liar, I assume she wasn’t at Achu for months.

Alix: woah, she’s been skipping school.

Now Ms Bustier pays attention. She tries calling Mrs Rossi’s number but reaches a dead end. She ends up calling the embassy instead.

Mrs Rossi is appalled at the lies her daughter has spewed and the mischief she has gotten up to. She also blames the faculty for not contacting her sooner.

Because of the latest scandal, news of Lila’s expulsion did spread. Even if she could claim to have not been intentionally harassing Adrien, she purposefully skipped school and framed Marinette.

Mrs Rossi decides to send Lila to reform school outside Paris, under her strict father.

Marinette is pleased with the fashion queen’s critique and even gives everyone in the class Chloe’s favorite macaroons.

The school faces inspection because of the Lila incident and Caline and Damocles are suspended.

Audrey: they should be fired.

Alright, Here is the addition to the first post I made about Marinette having a somewhat of a similar backstory to Jason.

Marinette runs a business called Afterlife (I am bad with names, gimme a break) with Wayne Enterprise as a partnership. She is the mysterious designer MT.

Jagged knows about Marinette and the whole LB thing after one scare and an explanation and promotes it a lot.

The Waynes can’t believe that she knew Jagged Stone.

So Afterlife brand is taking off and is the hottest new thing since Jagged is wearing it and MT is apparently the mysterious newly adopted Wayne who hasn’t appeared in public much and the family’s personal designer.

Loads of Celebrity commissions.

Gabriel loses sales as the new line they launched ‘coincided’ with the launch of Afterlife’s newest fashion line called Karma.

I should mention that Edna Mode(?) and Audrey Bourgeois gave many praises to MT because they are amazing designs and to spite Gabriel a little bit.

Gabriel doesn’t panic yet. A lie

I haven’t talked about Lila much, have I? Let’s just say she got a visit from a ghost, well, several ghosts.

Remember that guy Marinette mentioned that could get her fake documents. It was John Costantine, who owes her a favor ( he owes her more than a few and he would do anything she asked for her brownies. )

Tim and Babs dig up dirt on Lila Rossi and their silence was brought with a delicious cake.(coffee flavored for Tim)

Gets John to do a little summoning for her.

“~Lila~. ~Oh Lila~”

Lila turned to her other side, wishing the voice would shut up.

“Oh, Lie-la, sleeping so peacefully. So silent. I wish you would stay that way forever.” The voice said menacingly.

Lila’s eyes snapped wide open to come face-to-face with supposed to be dead Marinette Dupain-Cheng with a manic look. Did Marinette had red eyes before?

Lila screamed.

“Oh, it’s no use. No one will hear you. Remember when you said those words. To poor Bianca. Every day at lunch break in the old unused bathrooms when you beat her up for not doing as you say.”

A girl with long dark hair appeared. Covered in black and blue bruises. Looking at Lila with hate.

“Let’s not forget. Poor Tommy. Alex. Andrea. Wil. Gary. Nico. Freya. Magnus. Della…” As Marinette listed off names, more and more teens appeared, the youngest being a 10 year old girl.

They all had the same expression as Bianca. Utter hatred.

“And there is me. The latest in your long line of victims. Lie-la, how do you feel right now, looking at the casualties of your greed for fame and fortune? Your ‘enemies’. And you know that English saying, ‘The enemy of my enemy is my friend’.” Marinette gave a sinister laugh.

“You are dead. You were all supposed to be dead. This isn't real. This isn’t real.” Lila chanted, closing her eyes and covering her ears.

She felt cold fingers lifting up her face to meet red eyes, promising many Bad things.

“Sorry, sweetie. This is the cold harsh reality. You thought that you could get away with it. The deaths you caused with your filthy lies and ‘so-call accidents’. You danced on our ashes and you built your kingdom with our blood on your hands. I hoped you enjoyed it while it lasted. ”

The nails dug further into her face, drawing some blood and sure to leave some scars.

“Because, Lila Rossi, this is the last time you would know peace. And could you pass on a message to the Agrestes for me. Tell them that Death cannot hold back the wrath of Ladybug.” Turning to the other ghosts. “Get her.”

Marinette stepped back as the other teens pounced on her. Scratching, pulling, biting. Inflicting pain on Lila. She jumped out the window and landed next to John smoking.

“Thanks for everything. Will she be okay?” Lila’s screams can’t be heard due to a soundproof charm.

“She will wake up in the morning, a little sore thinking it was all a nightmare.”

“That is until she looks into a mirror. I left a little something to remind her that it actually happened. By the way, can you help me with this curse?” She said, pulling out a notebook.

“Let me see. Hmm.. Oh.. that’s a good one. Nice. Wow...You are very creative with curses, remind me to never get on your bad side. But are you sure about that last part?”

“Lila needs a lesson and as much as I hate her and wants her to suffer for the rest of eternity. She doesn’t deserve being tormented for the rest of her life. At least, she should learn that actions have consequences, especially for everything she had done so far.”

“You are too kind despite everything that has happened, Pigtails.”

“Doesn’t mean I am going to give you the resurrection spell I used.”

“You are no fun. You are as bad as Bats.”

Lila’s curse is that she sees her victims when she leasts expects it. Alya, talking about her blog, is replaced with Bianca cracking her knuckles and about to punch Lila. In everyone else, it looked Lila screamed ‘Please don’t hurt me” to a confused Alya.

Lies some more to save face but the more she lies, the more the ghosts keep appearing. Some actually hurt her but there are no bruises or cuts to prove that it happened.

She is just so jumpy all the time and during photoshoots, Adrien gets replaced with a rotting corpse and every picture comes out with fear in her eyes.

Gabriel fires her after a million complaints.

Not before relaying Marinette’s message. “She cursed me. She came into my room and did this to me (pointing to the scars on her face.) She sent my dead classmates after me.”

“Who?”

“Ladybug. She told me to tell you that even Death cannot stop Ladybug’s wrath. So better watch your back, M. Agreste.”

(Gabriel didn’t feel threaten not at all. There is no such thing as ghosts. Sure magic is real with the Kwamis and the Miraculouses as proof. But ghosts? Those are just stories. Lila Rossi just had a nightmare that was too vivid for her. He definitely is not searching Google for warding them off. Especially revenge-seeking ones. He was just looking for inspiration. That MT caused a lot of trouble and sleepless nights for Gabriel but this next line was sure to be a success.) He was wrong.

No matter how many NDAs he made people signed and how much security measures he took. Afterlife seems to hosts fashion shows, launch new lines or their designs made the cover of a famous fashion magazine and SHOWING UP the GABRIEL brand EVERY! SINGLE! TIME!

Gabriel is rarely in the headlines these days and most of the billboards in Paris is filled with products from Afterlife (Chloe as a model with a mask to conceal her identity which adds to a mystery.) or WE.

He is super frustrated and a little desperate.

‘You can trust me.’ Chloé says sincerely, and Marinette’s smile grows, unmistakably fond now.

And it’s only now that Chloé realises that they’re close. Closer than people usually are to each other. Definitely closer than lawyers and clients usually are. And they’re holding hands. Wait- what!? When did that happen? But when Chloé glances down, she sees that one of Marinette’s hands is held in between both of hers. She must have reached out and taken it unthinkingly, spurred by instinct to comfort Marinette.

Without thinking of any consequences or implications.

But that was probably only a few seconds ago, right? Not a minute - or even minutes!? How long have they been holding hands???

This is supposed to be a mother's day special since, although I don't know Miss Bustier's age, I'd like to think of her as Chloe's mother figure or older sister figure. The one-shot is set before Chloe met Zoe. Just so you know, This is NOT a Marinette bash fic. This is just Chloe's POV and how she sees things.

Not for the first time, Chloe Bourgeois glared at her bandaged hands as if they were the cause of all her problems.

It wasn't too long ago that she returned from a field trip in New York she never wanted to go too. During her time in that ridiculous field trip, she tried to make the best of the situation by trying to get in contact with Audrey, hoping that she would visit her and have a mother/daughter time together like she always wanted since she was a little girl.

Unfortunately, for some reason, Audrey refused. She didn't say why. What could be more important than spending time with your daughter? But Chloe was used to it.

Chloe felt the hurt in her heart in remembrance but steeled it to focus on the situation.

With the plan to spend time with her mother in shambles, she spent most of her time in New York wallowing in hurt from another disappointment in her life that she couldn't enjoy the scenery and the fun that she could've spent in a different country like her classmates are having.

But they weren't her friends, not all of them. Sabrina and Adrien have that title. They've put up with her selfish and spiteful attitude for a long time. They deserve to have fun without her despair and anger spoiling the trip.

There is however, one other person she respects enough that could've made her try to have fun with her classmates during the whole trip, which Chloe will allow, but they couldn't come.

That person is her teacher Caline Bustier. She's one of the very few people to believe the good in her, and doesn't cower under Chloe's status as the mayor's daughter.

'She would be a good mother.' Chloe thought

Yes, the reason why she couldn't come to New York was because of her pregnancy.

After Chloe got over her self-pity, the news of Miss Bustier's pregnancy sank in. She had time to think of what she should give her as a congratulatory gift.

She won't forget like she forgot Miss Bustier's birthday. She still feels guilt about that.

She at first thought of giving her an expensive souvenir from New York to compensate for missing the trip. But she dashed the thought aside.

Chloe is called a lot of things over the years. Entitled, mean, bratty, spiteful, heartless, a bully, and last but not least a villain. Most of that is true.

The last one is definitely earned due to the Miracle Queen incident. Chloe's eyes watered a bit when she thinks of Pollen (1).

Normally she just doesn't really give her all and solves her problems with money, connections, and spite.

However, don't call her heartless. There are a few people in her life that she truly loves and respects. Who she will give her all too.

Miss Bustier is definitely one of those people, and for her the gift has to be exceptional.

And what could be more exceptional than a handmade gift. But won't be some ridiculous card. Oh no, it has to be something benefiting for the occasion.

She still bought a souvenir from New York and took pictures for Miss Bustier but it won't be the main gift though. Wouldn't hurt to have extra gifts.

She wouldn't admit she had a little fun during the trip.

But that's easier said than done….

Chloe then turns her attention from her hands to severely glare at her disastrous attempt of a homemade gift.

The plan was to make a stuffed animal, a Bee specifically, for Miss Bustier's unborn child. When she was a little girl, her daddy gave her a yellow teddy bear which she named Mr. Cuddly. (2) Chloe loves that bear very much. It was always there for her every time she felt sad, like when her mother left for New York for years, when she never visited on her birthdays, or when Aunt Emilie disappeared.

She still remembers that time she held Adrien in her arms as he cried when he fully realized Aunt Emilie might never come back. She cried with him.

Chloe knows a stuffed animal would be a perfect gift. A handmade one would be exceptional. So, in her spare time, she worked tirelessly on it.

She will definitely be her teacher's child's favorite after this. Proving that she is exceptional. One upping her most of her classmates would be a bonus, especially Dupain-Cheng! 'I'll show you who has no heart!' (3) Chloe thought when she got started on her project.

However, due to her inexperience with stitching, she ended up hurting her hands. Hence why they are bandaged in the first place. If that wasn't bad enough her project ended up looking… incomprehensible.

'It wasn't supposed to be like this! The plan was to make a cute Bee! Not… not… I don't even know what to call that!' Chloe fumed

"Ridiculous….Utterly… fucking… ridiculous…" She grumbled.

It was supposed to be a simple day at school or at least, it's the day Chloe was trying to make simple. The plan was to quickly go by the day without incident, especially an Akuma incident, so she can bring her secret project home with her without anyone seeing it.

Why did she bring that hideous thing with her? You see, today was the day where room service comes to hotel rooms for a cleaning day. Jean was usually the one who cleans her room and Chloe trusts him enough to tell him about what she's been working on for a while so he wouldn't mistake it as trash.

Jean offered to help but Chloe wanted to do it herself. Her heart warmed when he looked proud of her.

Unfortunately, Jean had a sick day at the time so someone else had to clean her room. Generally, she didn't want anyone else to see it and know she's unexceptional in knitting and sewing. So, she placed the unidentified horror in her bag, put on gloves to hide her bandaged hands, and left for school.

So for the rest of the day, she was… un-Chloe… if you can call it that. She was focused, she didn't cause any outburst (no matter how irritated she is). For any other student, no one would bat an eye but because she's Chloe she managed to raise suspicion from almost all of her classmates and concern from the rest.

Especially the way she was protective of her school bag. During class she placed it on her lap when she's at her desk and held it tightly in a protective grip.

Which might be why Lila made the mistake to try to take a look and Chloe... let's just say she made a point that nobody under any circumstances goes near it.

Good thing, Chloe placed her creation at the very bottom of the bag and other things on top of it so nobody can catch a glimpse.

But it did send both Lila and Chloe to stay in Miss Bustier's class after school.

'Let me guess, Rossi is going to create a sob-story where she's the victim.' Chloe thought

As if on cue, Lila placed on a well-crafted mask of a scared rabbit and began her tale of woes.

"I.. I didn't mean to cause a disruption at school. It's just..." Lila starts to wipe away crocodile tears dropping out of her eyes. "Chloe hasn't been acting herself lately. She twitches from moment to moment, she was too quiet, and was distant from class, including Sabrina and Adrien! I knew then something was wrong! I thought that maybe after noticing how protective she was of her bag, I.." Lila looked away as if embarrassed. Cue the fake blushing. "..I thought that I would find answers to find out the problem so I can help Chloe. So, I tried to look in her school bag... I know it's wrong to look in someone's bag without permission. It's just... I was just so worried I didn't know what else to do. I.. I.. I'm sorry!" Lila then started sobbing while covering her face.

Chloe can't help but roll her eyes at the ridiculous display. 'With how often she sheds crocodile tears, I wonder if she'll end up growing scales at this rate.' She glanced at Miss Bustier and held back a sigh knowing she'll reassure the girl.

Miss Bustier placed her hand on Lila's shoulder looking at her with eyes both kind and stern.

"Lila, it's ok. You shouldn't say sorry for being concerned for your classmate. However, you should say sorry for going through her things without permission. It's a violation of privacy. Next time if you feel that something concerning is happening to your classmate, you tell an adult, ok? My door is always open for my students. Chloe…" She turned towards her. "While Lila shouldn't have tried to look in your school bag, you shouldn't have reacted the way you did. There are other ways to react that don't involve hurting someone, understand? That being said.." Miss Bustier focuses now on both of them. "Now that you two understand what you both did was wrong, you need to apologize to each other." She said in a kind but firm voice.

The air between the two girls became tense after that. As the girls looked at each other the tension thickens even more as their eyes that are similar yet different from one another locked gazes. Lila's eyes held cruelty while Chloe's eyes held anger the one thing that these eyes had in common was their mutual dislike for whom they lay their gaze upon. Everything came to a standstill for them, each silently making a dare for one of them to apologies first.

But in the end Chloe felt that she had to be the one to do it first because she doesn't want Miss Bustier to be akumized because of her again. So, Chloe swallowed her pride and apologized with gritted teeth with a voice tight and cordial. "Lila..." Chloe then took a deep breath, locking her pride and her choice of insults away and continued. "I'm sorry for reacting the way I did when you tried to look through my school bag. It was wrong and I should've used words, not violence."

"I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have gone through your things, it's just that you were acting differently and everyone was getting really worried about you…" Lila began.

'Yeah right, you were only sorry you got caught. Not only that, I'm pretty sure that the only people who would worry about me are Sabrina, Adrien, and Miss Bustier. Everyone else would've left me to my own devices as long as I don't interact with them or involve them in my business.' Chloe thought, not buying Lila's act.

"I mean… it's just…" Lila then took a moment like she's trying to compose herself then continued on. "Not too long ago when we had our presentation at school about the dangers of drug use, it brought back memories of when I was very young where, at the time, my uncle was allowed to babysit me. He had trouble with addiction. Seeing how you were acting recently reminded me of how my uncle behaved in the past. I'm sorry." Lila said, with a voice sounding like she's trying to keep it together but her eyes if one takes a closer look are filled with malice.

Chloe stilled.

'Oh... You... Bitch!' Chloe thought, seething as she realized what Lila's new strategy is. She could feel her rage bubbling up, rolling over her body, from head and toe as she connected the dots.

Throughout Lila's time at school, she never really talks about her family. The info everyone got was that her mom works at an embassy and that she has a grandmother who apparently gave her a fox pendant (4). Chloe feels that she kept it purposely vague so that she can create a lie that benefits her and nobody would question it.

The benefits for this situation? Not only saving her own face while ruining Chloe's, but also giving Miss Bustier an excuse to look in her school bag.

In her angry haze she's vaguely aware of what was going on around her. How Miss Bustier was comforting Lila after she 'revealed her past'.

Chloe can already imagine what both of their reactions would be if they saw. Lila will definitely offer false sympathy while she'll laugh on the inside and pass on her lack of success in sewing to everyone at school.

But It's what the reaction of the one who matters is what made her burning anger die out into a spiral of depression.

Miss Bustier... even there's a limit to the kindness she gives to her students. There's got to be! Chloe's mother saw how unexceptional she was when she was young and left for years. The fact that she's her daughter doesn't change anything. Miss Bustier will surely realize how unexceptional she truly was if she saw her stuffed Eldritch Horror. How she's not worth it.

Chloe's mind flashed to a memory where she tried to give her mother a gift when she returned to Paris after all these years only for the gift to be rejected because the wrapping paper is, in Audrey's mind, ridiculous and she tried to 'fire' her, only for her daddy to protest. (5)

Even now, Chloe still doesn't understand what Audrey means when she says "You're fired." To her. Fired from her presence? Fired from accompanying her? Fired from being exceptional? From the chance to be one? Or…. fired from being her daughter? … From the chance to be noticed and loved by her?

Then the memory of Audrey and Chloe's gift is morphed into an image of Miss Bustier and the stuffed animal Chloe made. But the only thing that hadn't changed is the look of disdain and disgust in her eyes.

After Miss Bustier finished comforting Lila, she turned her attention to her other student.

"Now Chloe, While Lila did cross the line looking at your school bag. She brought up points about how you've been acting differently lately, and with some serious accusations. I'm going to need to look at your school bag."

Chloe was silent.

"Chloe." Miss Bustier's voice sounded stern

More silence.

Miss Bustier was now concerned. Usually, Chloe would yell and give out a defiant glare head-on but right now she's being unusually quiet, with her shoulders slouched and her head hung low.

"Chloe?." Miss Bustier asked, worry in her voice.

Then Chloe's breath started to pick up in an increasing rate.

"Chloe!" Miss Bustier yelled out alarmed.

Chloe can't make out her words nor her surroundings as Miss Bustier led Lila out the room, much to Lila's displeasure, and walked towards Chloe. The only thing she can hear are the words that repeat in her head. The words she knows everyone feels about her, but they feel more real than ever.

Worthless.

Failure.

A waste of time.

Heartless.

Villain.

Unexceptional.

Unworthy of love.

Miss Bustier then places her hands on Chloe's shoulders, snapping Chloe out of her self-loathing thoughts. "Listen to me Chloe, I want you to take deep breaths, focus on the sound of my voice and nothing else, ok?"

Chloe nodded

"Good." Miss Bustier gave her a reassuring smile then instructed "Now do what I do. Breathe in" Miss Bustier then breathe in.

Chloe complied.

"And out" Miss Bustier breathed out.

Chloe Matched her.

The process repeated with Miss Bustier guiding Chloe the whole way until Chloe's breathing evened out, her thoughts no longer an all-consuming darkness, leaving only the feeling of numbness.

"Better?" Miss Bustier asked.

Chloe just nodded, too tired to speak.

"Good." Miss Bustier gave Chloe a smile. "Do you want to talk about it?"

Talking is the last thing Chloe wanted to do right now, she couldn't muster up the energy to come up with an excuse to get out of this. She knew that by the end of this that her school bag would be opened and her inadequate attempt would be exposed.

Oh, how it would be easy for an Akuma to show up while she's feeling down and accept an offer to rain her vengeance down on Lila for her stunt not only for retribution but also to avoid this situation altogether.

But…

"Thank you, Chloé. Those words are the best possible gift you could ever give me." (3.5)

Chloe can't do that to Miss Bustier, especially because of the care she's shown after witnessing Chloe's moment of weakness.

'At least Rossi isn't here to see it.' Chloe thought, trying to reassure herself.

Slowly, Chloe reluctantly handed over her school bag to Miss Bustier who looked very much surprised.

"Are you sure?" Miss Bustier asked, not making a move to take it.

Chloe just nodded, not trusting herself to speak. Her eyes then lowered down on the floor as she nudged her school bag to her teacher.

"Alright." Miss Bustier then slowly reached the school bag, giving Chloe a chance to change her mind. When she didn't, Miss Bustier grabbed hold of it and placed it on her desk where she began her search for anything that's suspicious.

Time seemed to slow for Chloe as Miss Bustier inspected. Every second that passed and each item that Miss Bustier placed on her desk increased her dread.

Caline was very concerned about Chloe. After her panic attack, she wondered she's hiding that caused her to act like this.

She really hopes that Lila's accusations aren't correct. Caline loves her students like they were her own children but she isn't blind, she knows that her students have flaws and A few aren't the best of people but they are young and have the potential to change and be good.

She knows each of her students have their own problems, whether it's at school or outside of it. She's willing to listen and help whenever she can, no matter what, With guidance and love. Cause that's what it is to be a teacher and a person who cares.

So, whatever's troubling Chloe she'll help whatever she can. If Lila's assumption is correct, then she'll still help her whatever she can. It's just another one of life's obstacles to overcome and Caline will be there in every step of the way.

So far, Caline never found anything suspicious or out of place. It's just usual assignment books, pencils, and make-up kits. The last part she knows Chloe would bring to school with her. But when Caline reached the bottom, she saw something odd.

When she picked it up to get a closer look, she realized it's a stuffed toy, of what sort she doesn't know. It either looked like an amalgamation of different animals put together or a creature you'd see in horror books.

Other people would've found it creepy or something to throw away. But Caline found it a little... endearing in a way. It was obviously made by a beginner who put so much work into making it for someone to play with.

But why would Chloe have this? It doesn't seem like her to keep this?

"When I heard of your pregnancy, I wanted to give you a gift that would be fitting for the occasion." Chloe spoke in a despondent voice

Surprised, Caline's gaze turned from the toy to Chloe who refused to move her gaze from the floor.

Caline knows Chloe is capable of feeling sadness and remorse but she usually masks it with a haughty exterior. However, there are other moments where Chloe shows her vulnerability in front of others, but it was very rare that people often forget.

But Caline never did.

Chloe finally looked up to Caline "... What would be more fitting than a toy. But it can't be any toy, it has to be made by me! Chloe Bourgeois! Queen Bee! Defender of Paris!" Chloe preached with false cheer, then her face and tone changed to something despondent. "But... It didn't turn out the way I pictured it. It was supposed to be a Bee. It wasn't supposed to look like... this." She gestured to the toy "I wanted… it to be so exceptional that your child would be proud to show off to their friends. I wanted... them to know that even though Queen Bee is inactive, she would always watch over them."

Chloe fell silent after that.

Caline processed what she confessed.

A hand-made toy? For her unborn child?

That's...

Caline looked back at Chloe's creation and felt warm rousing in her chest.

While everyone knows that Chloe can be mean, a few know that she possesses a selfless, good heart.

The doll in her hand is proof of that. The doll Chloe made with thoughts of the child that hasn't existed yet.

It was because of those moments and this moment that Caline never gave up on her. Mother's never give up on their children.

'She would be a good big sister for my little one.' Caline thought with a smile

Suddenly, Chloe spoke, voice cracking "I wanted..."

Caline looked back at Chloe whose body was shaking, closing her gloved hands tightly.

"...Them to have a friend they can turn to when they feel like they couldn't go to their parents." Then a few tears spilled from Chloe's eyes.

'Just like how Mr. Cuddly was for me when I was young... No, still is.' Chloe thought recalling her teddy bear fondly then noticed the feeling of tears coming out of her eyes.

'Great, more reasons for her to think I'm unexceptional.' Chloe thought with sarcasm, self-disgust filling her. If that stuffed horror wasn't enough to prove it, the crying is definitely the final straw.

Usually when she feels like crying, she goes somewhere private (like a hotel room or a limo) and hugs Mr. Cuddly. Crying in front of someone is a different story.

One of the things Audrey taught her when she was young was that crying in front of someone is a sign of vulnerability and showing vulnerability means giving access to someone who can betray you once you show your weakest, unexceptional self.

She only cried in front of a few people in her life.

She cried in front of Ladybug before. (6) Then felt a deep betrayal when she didn't come to her for help when her parents were Akumized. Those were her parents! She should get the chance to be the hero for this! (7)

But now, she's not in her hotel room or a limo nor does she have Mr. Cuddly. She's in a classroom with someone she REALLY doesn't want to show that she's unexceptional.

To be honest, she feels very exposed.

Now she waits for Miss Bustier to show her disgust and condemn her unfit for her kindness and attention. Chloe knows that pain would be similar to how she felt when Audrey didn't deem her worth her time. This Chloe knows what she did wrong.

Chloe doesn't realize that in the middle of her spiral that Miss Bustier walked over to her. Then She gave Chloe a hug, interrupting her thoughts.

"I.. Don't know what to say. Thank you... Just... Thank you..." Miss Bustier, sounding very touched, hugs her tighter.

Chloe felt both shocked and confused. She doesn't understand. She knows her creation is a total failure. It's not cute, approachable, so why?!

"Why?" Chloe asked

"Hm?" Miss Bustier pulled back and gave her a questioning look.

Chloe gave Miss Bustier an incredulous look. "No child would ever want to play with that. You don't have to pretend; I know it looks... I mean... It looks... unsightly doesn't even begin to cover it!"

Now Miss Bustier gives her an incredulous look "Why would I pretend? You worked very hard on this with my little one in mind. I'm sure that they would appreciate the gift their big sister Chloe made for them."

Chloe's mind bluescreened at that.

To say Chloe was surprised is an understatement. Her mouth opened as if to say something but closed as if she couldn't find the words.

She doesn't know which caught her off guard more. Miss Bustier genuinely liking her stuffed toy, despite the failure, or the "Big Sister Chloe" comment.

"Besides this looks unique then what you normally see in stuffed toys it does hold a certain amount of cuteness in my opinion." Miss Bustier cooed at the toy.

By that, Chloe was done trying to understand. But she was secretly relieved that Miss Bustier didn't scorn her.

Although Chloe never had drugs in her possession, she still had to go to the principal's office for attacking Lila.

Despite that Chloe was escorted there in higher spirits since Miss Bustier never scorned her for her failure in making an exceptional stuffed toy for her unborn child, in fact she praised her and thought the unimaginable horror was cute.

She knew that Miss Bustier would be different from Audrey but this takes the cake.

She just doesn't understand it...

But she'll take it all the same, despite the confusion and just let the warm feeling spread in her heart.

Chloe KNOWS Miss Bustier would be a good mother. If her child inherits her oddness and starts admiring Chloe as their hero for the toy, it would be a bonus.

Plus, Lila had to go to the principal's office with her for trying to go through her personal belongings, much to Lila's displeasure (which doubled because she never got to see what Chloe was hiding) and Chloe's glee.

'Which reminds me...' Chloe glanced at Lila, feeling the fires of anger reignite. 'Even though Rossi never found out what's in my school bag and when Miss Bustier assures Principal Damocles that I don't possess drugs, Rossi could still spread rumors about it. Too bad for her I have something that can keep her quiet.' Chloe then grinned with eyes burning with vengeance.

After all, you can't be the daughter of a hotel owner without making use of connections.

So, she knows Jagged Stone doesn't have a kitten but a crocodile.

She also knows that Marinette knows since she had to see him when Jagged Stone requests for her to make the cover for his new album. (8)

If Lila decides to misbehave, she'll appeal to Marinette's sense of justice, and have her act as the eyewitness.

Chloe Bourgeois may not be the best person and while not evil per say she's not above blackmail to get what she wants.

If Lila Rossi thinks she can fuck with her, she's got another thing coming. Nobody messes with Queen Bee.

In the New York Special There are a few scenes involving Chloe that they deleted. Like Chloe hoped to meet her mother in New York and avoid the trip but she never took the time to get her. Adrien and Marinette tried to comfort Chloe after the party. The last part isn't mentioned in this fic, this is just me giving facts.

I left what the stuffed doll looks like ambiguous on purpose. It's up to the reader to imagine what it looks like. That part I was inspired by randomly looking at art when I found some people drew monsters paired up with humans. I'm pretty sure they may look creepy inverse or in some cases other people who saw the art but the monsters can be endearing and cute because of how they behave and act towards their partner.

Queen’s Bride AU

AU idea by @scuderiagorobets

- It happened after Queen Wasp, when Chloé decides that she goes to New York with Karen Audrey (excluding the part where Marinette just bashing Chloé, in this AU they are on good terms). So, this AU basically swaps Malediktator.

- In college, when Chloé announces her departure, everyone cheers. Except for Adrien (because he is Chloé's friend), Marinette (because she is in good terms with Chloé)... and Alix.

- At this day, Alix goes to college in the nice yellow and black dress (it was surreal for everyone because even in galas where her dad is present, she didn't wore a dress), with bouquet of flowers and was about to ask Chloé to go to date but Bourgeois' announcement breaks Kubdel's heart.

- To make things worse, Kim and Sabrina are going to tease Alix about her dress and how Chloé decides to leave when she saw Alix in it.

- With all of this, Alix takes the akuma and became Queen's Bride.

Hawkmoth: I need the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculouses...

Queen's Bride: I can give you all of these jewelries but in one condition... I will have the Bee Miraculous, only for my Queen Bee...

- Bride's costume is Alix's dress, but it's ripped in many places, colours are inverted (not swapped, inverted. Like, using Inversion filter on your photos), her makeup is ruined and her face is covered with bride's veil.

- Her powers is basically Queen Bee's flying ability and Venom, but when person is hit by Bride's Venom, they sits on the knee and tells that they love the person they love. If the loved one says "yes", they both become Bride's minions, if says "no", they both are going to be erased (just like after Timebreaker’s touch).

- It all came to the fight (both physical and mental) between Queen's Bride and Queen Bee.

Queen's Bride: *venoms Queen Bee*

Queen Bee: *sits on the knee* Alixandra Kubdel, I love you! Will you be my forever partner?

Queen's Bride: Chloé Elizabeth Bourgeois, yes! I love you to-

- After it all comes to normal and Chloé announces that she stays in Paris, Alix sees the list:

"My dear Ally-Kins,

I'm so sorry that I indirectly broke your heart yesterday. I didn't know that you're going to ask me but you need to know: I love you too. I always have a crush on you, ever since you came back to Paris and into my life last September. And I decided to stay in Paris solely because of you. So, feel free to ask me any time you want, I will always say "yes!"

~Side-plot~

- Marinette recently starts texting a girl named "Zoe L."

- Chloé recognize the name but she thinks that this is just a coincidence, plus she is happy that Marinette is happy and not jealous about Adrien dating Kagami.

- "Zoe" writes Marinette that their first date will be soon because she will be in Paris.

- And "Zoe" arrives to Paris. It is the "Heart Hunter" episode.

- Yes, this "Zoe L." is Zoé Lee Bourgeois, Chloé's twin sister.

- Chloé is happy that Zoé is back and when the latter says something about a date, Chloé finally understands: Marinette and Zoé are going on a date, just like her and Alix.

- Heart Hunter happened.

- But, instead of ruining Adrien/Kagami date and give Kagami a Dragon Miraculous, Ladybug gives Zoé the Bee Miraculous.

- Chloé discovers this, but she isn't angry about it.

- After defeating the akuma, Marinette and Zoé kiss.

- And it was at this moment, when Miracle Queen and Queen's Bride strike…

~Flashback~

- After initial attack, Queen's Bribe become a nightmare ghost in Chloé's mind.

- Every time Chloé was about to snap, she "sees" Queen's Bride, which terrifies her.

- That's why Chloé is trying not to cause any more akumas.

- She even saves herself from getting one ("Miraculer").

- But after Miraculer, she denounces herself from being Queen Bee because she failed to save her secret identity.

- A mere days later, she’s with Alix, Ladybug and Chat Noir founds Future!Alix aka Future!Bunnix (it will strike later).

~End of Flashback~

- After Heart Hunter, she wasn't wanted to be akumatized, but she was forced by Hawkmoth. It wasn't her choice.

- After becoming Miracle Queen, she reveals the secret identities for everyone except four people: Ladybug, Chat Noir (obviously), Vesperia (she didn't wanted to involve her twin sister into her mess) and Bunnix... She have other plans for Alix.

Miracle Queen: I want you to akumatize Alix Kubdel into Queen's Bride! Now!

Hawkmoth: As you wish...

- So, Alix became Queen's Bribe again, but now she is with her (Miracle) Queen...

- But Hawkmoth is more irritated than surprised when Miracle Queen would rather receive multiple comforting kisses on the face from her Bride than get the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculouses.

Queen’s Bride: You've done nothing wrong, Sweetie! *continues to kiss her face*

Miracle Queen: Thank you, My lovely Bride~
