I knew some spoilers before I watched ATLA because let's be real, there's a low chance of someone not being spoiled by now.

However, I didn't know the particular details of how some things happen, and this is something like how I thought Zuko releasing Appa would go. It's gonna be part of a series where I tackle all moments like this I have, and that includes Azula finding Katara in Ba Sing Se.

Azula and Ozai in “The Search” - Part 1

The @book4air channel and Twitter just posted this preview scene from our expanded/rewritten adaptation of “The Search”.

I always wondered what these two had to say to each other and it’s never sat well with me that it never got any focus. Ozai is just as much Azula’s father and abuser as he is Zuko’s! If anything, Azula was even more enmeshed with him!

They haven’t seen each other since Ozai left her behind during the comet. They were on bad terms. Azula was desperate to please him and he discarded her. Isn’t that just brimming with potential!?

VERY skeptical but also curious to see more Kiyi and more about the school where Mai, Ty Lee and Azula attended. Fingers crossed we get a flashback (that actually writes Azula as a good character)

Giant Azula Origin

While investigating some strange ruins, Azula picked up some funky looking spirit rocks despite Sokka's warning. (Very similar to Zuko and Aang in The Fire Masters). Nothing happened so they brushed it off and checked into an inn for the night before heading back to the Fire Nation. Unfortunately for Azula, there were some side effects to touching those rocks.

The smoke and shadows comic had to have had random FN citizens going crazy with the knowledge that one, Azula is just kinda running around the fn and two “PRINCESS URSA HAS A NEW HUSBAND AND KID?? We thought she was dead”
