I personally go to a small university but considering how they are from literally all over the world, maybe it would make sense for them to go to a bigger school? lmk what we're thinking

Katara, Suki, Toph, and Ty Lee (HEAR ME OUT) live in a quad with two bedrooms and a common space

Toph and Ty Lee share a bedroom and Katara and Suki share the other bedroom

Katara and Suki are both very neat. they're also so busy they don't really have the time to be making messes.

Toph and Ty Lee are both disasters, but the mess stays contained to their bedroom area. not dirty, just cluttered. every once in a while one of them will get a random burst of energy and clean/organize the entire space.

Azula and Mai are roommates

they are roommates silently.

neither of them talk when they're in the room and that's how they prefer it. they only talk when they have something to talk about (they love to talk shit)

Aang and Sokka are roommates

perfect because their gfs are also roomates!

Sokka is significantly cleaner than Aang but they're both on the same page most of the time and are actually really good roommates

their room is decorated atrociously though. man moment.

Sokka stays up late and wakes up early (he's a STEM major!!! he's busy!!! he has a schedule!!!) Aang could sleep through literally anything

Zuko lives in a single dorm with his ESA. it's a turtleduck.

he lives on the same floor as Sokka and Aang

Azula and Mai live in the same building but on a different floor

the girls' quad is in a different building, but it's the largest space so it is the usual hangout spot. the others will come over to hang out and crash there after late night studying or if they're just too lazy to walk back to their building at night

when someone has had a rough day they'll go visit the emotional support turtleduck in Zuko's room

speaking of animals

Appa has a parking pass

he can't fit in the dorm, but he hangs out in the green space next to the dorm building and sleeps under a big tree :)

Currently amused by the idea that Aang is a delinquent. Forget punk or prep, he has tattoos, he's constantly destroying public property, he's encouraging kids to run away from home, he's homeless, he has no qualms about lying or stealing, has gotten into street fights, skips school, acts out in class, and he has canonically gone to jail and made friends with the criminals there.

Short of drug use, he is the textbox definition of a delinquent, he just hides it with how fucking cute he is.

in honor of having to choose my classes for next semester this week (not excited), modern gaang in class headcanons <3

everyone has to take gen ed classes obviously which means they're making toph talk about literature and aang do math

headcanon: katara fucking sucks at art

i think she would definitely put a lot of effort in but it just wouldn’t look how she wanted it to

it definitely pisses her off

so for her art credit she took ceramics and smashed a few vases

the thing about sokka is that genuinely he is seen in the show as having an interest in EVERYTHING

he does art, he is athletic, he does math and science, he goes to the library, he does poetry COME ON

he is practically the group tutor at this point

someone give me a flaw for him academically because i can’t find one!

aang hates math so fucking much

he takes a foundational math class for his gen ed and it is his worst class probably ever

he absolutely loves classes that are more nuanced and subjective though, like ethics and philosophy courses

(there it is that’s gotta be sokkas weakness)

katara loves history

suki and azula are in a lot of the same classes and are insanely competitive with their grades

suki usually comes out on top

zuko and azula both take the same firebending courses and it’s nightmarish

whenever there’s sparring to do azula will volunteer herself and zuko so she can annihilate his ass

zuko and ty lee as theatre students decided to take their science credit together and ended up in a biology class and hate it

they understand none of it and they’ll get together to study and then just look at each other like “do u know what we’re supposed to do? no? me neither.”

mai takes a still life drawing class for an art credit and low key has the time of her life

she really enjoys it and finds it relaxing, even when she pretends not to

toph being in earth bending and chemistry means a lot of science and i think she would really enjoy that

however

she does have to take some humanities classes for gen ed and she HATES those

like sokka she doesn’t love subjective classes

there needs to be a right answer and if there’s not she will MAKE a right answer
