has always been a restless soul, moving around from neighborhood to neighborhood and jumping from one job to another. tartosa one day - evergreen harbor the next etc, but when his dad suddenly died and left him his life's work: the grey's lumberyard, samson moved back to moonwood mill to honer his father. even though samson thinks that moonwood is the most boring place in the simworld, the hard work at the lumberyard has calmed him down, and sometimes, just sometimes, he feels happy there...

Magical Vacation - Let's Illustrate!

Some time after Magical Vacation released in Japan, Brownie Brown opened a fanart submission page called "Let's Illustrate" (レッツイラスト) on their MV website. Submissions were categorized by "General Submission Works" (一般応募作品) and "Friends' Works" (おともだち作品).

Sadly, several images weren't preserved on the WayBack Machine, so we salvaged what we could and stored them in a Drive folder!

First slab is cut, the slabs will be 6’ long 19 1/2” wide and 2 1/4” thick. The black spots in the wood are where there was metal. Live oak is one tough wood to rip with a chainsaw mill.

Fun fact: the DIYer can be identified in two ways. First, if at the beginning of their project cycle, they can be identified by their call of “OOooooooo!” as they spot new and interesting supplies. Imagine if bower birds could yell “wow!” At a particularly interesting stick and you have the idea.

Unfortunately as the project cycle wears on they lose interest in the unique variety of the environment. At this stage they can be identified by their habit of standing in front of a wall of screws, holding an exemplary screw and comparing the contents of the wall to that one screw.

They can also be spotted snoozing while leaning on a cart in line. During particularly intense parts of the project cycle sleep is at a premium and any time they are out of range of their spouse’s call — “hey honey can you come hold this a sec?” — they will instantly doze off.
