archers being skinnier and weaker compared to melee fighters is such a funny trope knowing that in real life armies they tended to have a lot of upper body strength, considering that their jobs were to use bows with over 100 lb draw weights, then run away to stay out of enemy range.
with the four characters in the greil mercenaries that can use bows (shinon, oscar, boyd, rolf), it’s interesting to see that boyd is the only one with the sort of musculature you might expect for that sort of role. oscar and rolf are both justified in that the former is a mounted unit, who tended to be pretty lean to account for the flexibility necessary to fight on horseback, and the latter is literally a teenager, but idk what shinon’s excuse is. no wonder he gets his shit wrecked by ike
#at least their strength bases/growths reflect it well#i know that in the modern age archers tend to come in all sorts of shapes and sizes#but in classical/medieval warfare when archers were#1. trained from early childhood to use bows#and 2. using long bows that could get to draw weights of a whole ass person#the trope being so prevalent in fire emblem outside of warrior classes using bows is a little funny#can you tell i like medieval and classical warfare#tellius

Modern Heathenry 101
Hi folks! I've updated my blog to include a heathenry 101 tag. I also worked on summarizing how I view modern heathenry from a US-based, progressive perspective:
Who is allowed to practice heathenry?
Everyone! Heathenry is not a closed practice. Regardless of your gender, age, orientation, race, cultural background, physical or mental abilities, or any other factor–you are welcome, appreciated, and loved by the gods.
What is heathenry?
Heathenry is an animistic belief system where we honor our ancestors, gods within the Norse pantheon, and the elemental spirits all around us. There is no one centralized heathen faith, and traditions will vary largely depending on community, region, and era. There are no sacred texts, though many heathens read the Poetic Edda and Prose Edda to get an introduction to our gods (as they are depicted in myths and sagas).
Who do you worship?
Details vary based on the individual or community, but generally speaking heathens honor gods within the Norse pantheon.
This pantheon includes: Odin, Frigg/Freyja, Freyr, Thor, Tyr, Njord, Loki, Hel, and many more. Each of these figures is dynamic and cannot be boiled down to a simple “god of ___” label. Some heathens exclusively worship patron deities to whom they feel a special connection and sense of dedication, while other heathens maintain relationships with numerous deities.
Ancestor work can be general or highly specific. Heathens may offer prayers to the Disir, female spirits of the family who help carry traditions, memories, and connections alive throughout the generations. Heathens may also opt to honor individual ancestors with whom they share a strong connection. In any instance, it is love not blood which constitutes ancestry. Many heathens feel drawn to honor “cultural” ancestors rather than blood-relatives (example: a heathen who is Black or LGBTQIA+ may feel drawn towards honoring a deceased activist or fellow community member).
What are some things which constitute a modern practice?
Many heathens practice group ritual while others are solitary. Every group will follow different traditions but common ones include:
holiday rituals
symbels (opportunities to toast one another and our accomplishments)
blots (specialized rituals dedicated to a specific deity)
ceremonies (weddings, funerals, and things of that nature)
In their day-to-day lives heathens will often wear a Mjolnir pendant as a reminder of the gods’ most prized gift and the source of their protector’s strength (Thor’s hammer).
Heathens will typically have at least one altar space in their homes. This can be used to honor deities, ancestors, or other figures. Altars vary dramatically in terms of appearance–some are minimalist and simple while others are lavishly decorated. This depends largely on personal preference, budget, availability of materials, and personal security (unfortunately, some heathens cannot safely set up an altar in their current living situation). Another option is the use of a pocket-altar, sometimes called a travel-altar.
What holidays do you observe?
Holidays historically varied depending on location. Typically these holidays relate to concepts of growth, gratitude, and reflection. There is not one set list of holidays which all heathens celebrate, but there do tend to be commonalities:
Holidays that take place in spring will tend to honor gods who represent youth, new beginnings, and hope.
Holidays in summer tend to celebrate growth, hard work, and fertility.
Holidays in the autumn are typically opportunities to celebrate the accomplishments we’ve made throughout the year as well as to prepare for the darker, colder times ahead.
Holidays in the winter tend to relate to reflection and thinking about things we can shed or invite as the new year begins.
Holidays can be celebrated individually or as part of a group. Here are some of the holidays my group observes.
What are some common symbols or visuals related to heathenry?
Many heathens view Mjolnir (Thor’s hammer) as the main symbol signifying their faith. This is typically worn as a necklace, though heathens may wear one in a myriad of different ways or not at all.
Elder futhark runes are also common symbols associated with heathenry. The futhark are representative of the sacred runes our god Odin learned during a journey of self-sacrifice and searching for spiritual wisdom. Many heathens use these runes for divination purposes or to receive messages from our gods and ancestors, while others do not interact with the runes in a spiritual sense.
There are other symbols associated with heathenry that have been appropriated by white supremacists. These include the runes Othala, Sowilo, and Elhaz; the Valknut; and sometimes even Mjolnir itself. These images are not inherently harmful, and many heathens feel it is our duty to combat this appropriation by showing these symbols in their proper, progressive contexts.
What are some books I can read to learn more?
Here are a few books about the Norse myths I recommend:
The Poetic Edda by Jackson Crawford
The Prose Edda by Snorri Sturluson
The Wanderer’s Havamal by Jackson Crawford
The Havamal by The Asatru Community
Essential Asatru by Diana Paxson
Norse Myths by Kevin Crossley-Holland
The Viking Spirit by Daniel McCoy
Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman
And here are some books about runes I recommend:
The Way of Fire and Ice: the Living Tradition of Norse Paganism, by Ryan Smith
Rudiments of Runelore, by Stephen Pollington
North Sea Rune Poems, by N. Solheim-Davidson
Norwegian Runes and Runic Inscriptions, by Terje Spurkland
Taking Up the Runes, by Diana L. Paxson

Can you tell me about what kind of abilities the Masters of celestial elements have?
How powerful are they?
How powerful is Estrella in terms of the Ninja? (-Lloyd)
How powerful is Estrella in terms of Garmadon and Wu?
How powerful is Estrella in terms of Lloyd and the Fsm?
Could the Fsm and Lloyd technically ever master the celestial elements or are the celestial elements they will never be able to master/use.
What is Estrella's relationships with the Ninja like?
Thanks for answering my questions.
thank you for the questions! i actually came up with some new ideas about the celestial elements so this is good timing lol.
okay so the thing about the celestial elements is that they are not tied to the FSM - sort of like water and wind are tied to wojira, the celestial elements are tied to a different being (that i have not finished creating yet) who lived in outer space. so i don't think lloyd would be able to use them, just like i don't think lloyd can use water.
so, the celestial elements. one thing i was thinking about is that starlight, sunlight, and moonlight are all technically the same thing (sunlight is a type of starlight, moonlight is reflected sunlight), so i gave the celestial elements some connections.
any one of them can be used to emit light to brighten up an area or flashes of light to temporarily blind an opponent
when corrupted (with a force like the staff of forbidden spinjitzu or maybe shatterspin), they all basically become radioactive. i don't have any story ideas involving this planned yet, i just think it would be cool.
and then for individual powers, i focused on what sets them apart from each other
moonlight is reflected light, and connected to movement/transformation (changing phases, the moving tide, etc.). the master of moonlight would be able to temporarily enhance their own strength and speed, sense movement in their surroundings without needing to look, and temporarily "reflect" the moves and powers of their opponents - although the last one is a difficult technique to use effectively, and takes a lot of practice.
sunlight is close light - we consider a star a sun when it's close enough to a planet to cause the growth of life, and to burn people who are out in it for too long. the master of sunlight can burn things and also cause plants to grow (although not control those plants). i also thought it would be fun to do a "solar energy" thing where they can sort of work as a battery to power up other magical beings?
starlight is a distant source of dreams and stories, used for inspiration and navigation. the master of starlight can use their powers as a balm, healing physical injuries and temporarily uplifting moods. starlight also comes with a passive ability of a perfect internal compass.
when it comes to how powerful they are, i'll admit that sunlight and moonlight are fairly powerful in comparison to the individual elements of the ninja. this is largely because i had a fanseason idea i'll develop more someday that has the masters of sunlight and moonlight serving as antagonists. i think it's generally good for antagonists to be at least as powerful as the protagonists, and in order to balance 2 celestial masters with the far-more-than-2 ninja, i had to make them more individually strong.
as for where estrella falls on the power scale...well, that's a bit harder to measure, since i feel like the common metric would be "who could she beat in a fight using her powers" and the answer to that would be "no-one; her powers are non-combat." (she does eventually get trained to fight, so her physical combat prowess isn't non-existent, but she's not an abnormally strong fighter and her powers are pretty much support-based.)
however, i did recently come up with an idea based on the whole "starlight, sunlight, and moonlight are kind of the same thing in different forms," which is a power-up form that the celestial masters can use called the "zenith form," wherein they temporarily gain the powers of all the celestial elements. in this form, estrella would be pretty powerful (probably not at lloyd's level, but in a similar range), but like. in addition to requiring training that estrella doesn't even have the opportunity to get until after crystalized, and being hard to get the hang of, and being difficult to maintain for long, she can only activate it under very specific circumstances (like cole's spinjitzu burst in the master of the mountain). so it's not something she gets the chance to use very often.
also, regarding estrella's relationship with the ninja - generally positive! i feel like she's not super-duper close to them because she's a bit socially awkward and joined the team late, but she does care about them. i think she's probably closest to nya and lloyd (most similar in age) and zane (autism to autism communication). i think to a certain extent, since she met the ninja through avery (an oc who belongs to @destinysbounty), there's kind of a "friend of a friend" vibe for a while, which does eventually turn into regular friendship. also, kai's the one who taught her to fight, so there's a bit of a bond there - i don't think she's quite as close to kai as she is nya+lloyd+zane, but she does to some extent look up to him as a mentor.

Why TFP Doesn't Work For Me Anymore:
Hello, Hola, こんにちは。
Welcome back to this side of the Hundred Acre Woods. I do miss the feeling of writing on Tumblr here, so from here on and for a New Years resolution, I’ll try to write a new post every other week with thoughts I’ve had since December 2022. A lot has happened since I’ve started grad school and I have a part time job now, so there will be periods of inactivity. Hopefully, my writing can reflect my current opinions right to the best of my abilities, and I hope that you all enjoy them.
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Alright, let’s cut to the chase: I kind of think Transformers Prime isn’t good, to me at least. Let me make it very clear: just because I don’t like it doesn’t mean you should stop loving it. After all, the world would be boring if we all shared the same opinion. I’m letting you all right now: I will be dropping a lot of bombshells that will rub off some of you the wrong way. For that, I advise skipping out on this one. Anyways…Transformers Prime is objectively a good show. The animation is the show’s biggest strengths, characters like Ratchet, Knockout, and Dreadwing are fun and interesting, the humor is good, I appreciate its commitment to darker subject matter, and several episodes such as, “Thirst” and “Stronger, Faster” are perhaps one of the best pieces of Transformers media in general. But…at the same time, it’s kind of messy.
From a lack of commitment to storylines to characters that don't feel put together to having stuff that screams Unfortunate Implications to its ending, Transformers Prime is a show that I stray from the more I get older and I have exposure to more Transformers media. On one hand, I appreciate this show being the reason why I got back into Transformers and hell, it’s a part of my username after all aksksksksksjsjsjsjsjsjkakakasa. It also made an impact on Transformers through characters like Knockout appearing in other media. On the other hand, I felt like its godlike status doesn’t make it exempt from criticism. No media is truly perfect, and it’s about time I get into the nitty gritty of why I’m not fond of TFP. Even if you don’t agree with me, at least hear me out.
3, 2, 1, Pingu.
MY FINISH-
My main problem with Transformers Prime is the lack of commitment to furthering certain storylines as well as character growth. Sure, there is character growth from characters such as Arcee and storylines like Starscream trying to be the boss he wanted to be are quite entertaining. However, at the same time, its commitment to its own status quo made this show an entire chore to watch. It felt like a majority of characters are still the same ol by the end of the series, like it felt like what could’ve been sources of character growth are instead ignored in the next episode. The Bulkhead getting sick storyline is the best example of this issue. At one point in Season 2, Bulkhead got infected with toxic energon and it seemed like he would have to stay behind on base. On paper, it’s an interesting premise. It could give him a storyline of feeling insecure over no longer being the bruiser of the team, and learning to overcome these insecurities through ways such as recognizing his other strengths. At the same time, Miko deals with her anxiety over Bulkhead’s predicament and the episode, “Hurt” is the proof of the writing potential here. However, it ended up being resolved too quickly after Smokescreen entered the picture. Bulkhead ended up recovering from his illness rather quickly and his small feud with Smokescreen is over and the next episode, they’re kiking with each other.
Along with other storylines such as the Orion Pax arc, Starscream becoming a neutral at one point, and the Predacons arc, the entire show is like this. It also doesn’t help that characters like Breakdown and Airachnid are thrown to the side, mainly due to their voice actors being too expensive to hire. Meanwhile, other characters like Dreadwing were also killed off due to the show refusing to change the status quo for the sake of furthering the story. And why is this the problem? Well…this show is one of the most notorious examples of Troubled Production.
In shorter words, the show experienced a lot of production trouble in the writing and budget department, which is mostly John Hasbro’s doing. The company meddled one too many times throughout the show’s entire run, especially with the casting and writing. Originally, the third season was supposed to be about pirates, but a new director was then hired and they basically said, “nope, fuck that,” and made the entire team rewrite the story from scratch. It’s gotten so bad that an ex crew member created an entire ass binder of everything that went wrong. Just, my god...
The amount of production issues definitely reflected in the show itself. Its strict adherence to Status Quo Is God, having what seems to be a game changing storyline and doing nothing with it, is so frustrating, because the potential of the writing is there. It wants to say something, but couldn’t because the problem behind the curtain is too much to ignore.
"It's Knockout's fault." "Precisely, my-WHAT!?"
First things first, I hate Jack.
Next.
Most of the cast is fine. Ratchet and Knockout are the best characters of their respective character groups, Fowler is the best human character, Miko & Raf are precious, Bee, Arcee, Bulkhead, Wheeljack, and Smokescreen are enduring and likable, Shockwave, Starscream, Soundwave, and Breakdown are the scene stealers besides the best characters I mentioned. Unfortunately, due to the aforementioned production issues, these characters made me ask one question: who are they? Not only does the writing and story never commit to the biggest twists the shows set up, but it never explores any of the characters’ story arcs and motivations. We never learn anything about these people. True, characters like Miko and Ratchet do get character development. However, with characters like Arcee and Starscream, their pain are the only focus that is, “character growth.” Arcee is reduced to her trauma of losing her partners, and the show never allowed her time to grieve properly. In fact, it seems to condemn her for acting like any other person who has to deal with their loved ones’ killers. By the end, her grief and learning to cope with it is pushed aside and it feels like Cliffjumper and Tailgate’s deaths amount to nothing. To have the most prominent female Transformer reduced to her pain is no different from making a female character in TFA be tied to a man’s pain. It’s kind of disgusting of the show to be so dismissive of her storyline like that. Like…I’m sorry, but she deserves fucking better. And it’s no different with Starscream. Homeboy endured so much horrific shit for far longer than is comfortable, and for the show to just push his pain as, “karma” is fucking disgusting. True, he ain’t no saint and he only has himself to blame for his flaws and behavior. However, by having him be the countless target of abuse throughout the show, it only made me want to help him leave the Decepticons for good. He deserves better. It’s why I appreciate Earthspark existing, because it called out his Butt Monkey status and shows how it deeply affects him. And speaking of who is responsible for dishing out this abuse, it’s time to speak about the one half of two characters whom I don’t especially kiki with.
Megatron is just an irredeemable monster here. I love truly despicable and evil characters as much as the next guy, but with this guy, he just feels so off. The jarring disconnect between his backstory and how much of a despicable piece of shit he is results in a character that felt too evil, not to mention filled with the Unfortunate Implications of having a revolutionary with strokes of current social issues turn into a flat out bad guy turned up to 100. Before any of you say, “erm, actually IT HAPPENS IN REAL LIFE to me, let me point this out: I’m approaching this as a person of color. The revolutionary Megatron characterization is a trope that is botched most of the time, because it doesn’t have the nuance and approach that is required to pull it off. If done well, we have Earthspark Megatron (so far). As a result, we have TFP Megatron.
He’s just that: evil. It also doesn’t help that he has a half assed redemption arc in Predacons Rising. “I now know the true meaning of oppression.” BITCH, YOU FUCKING KILLED PEOPLE. This entire storyline doesn't make up for the utterly despicable shit he did throughout the series. With him still alive, it felt like he faced no consequences for his actions. Him dying and with his body on Earth, with the last face he saw being the one he brutalized the most, is an appropriate punishment! Yes, him being alive and dealing with the consequences of his actions is also a good punishment. However, with the sudden rush from point A to B, his resolve to self exile himself doesn’t feel earned. To me, he doesn’t seem like he’s truly sorry for his actions. Like…EWWW. Fuck out of here, he’ll never be Earthspark Megatron.
Yes, it’s a joy to see Frank Welker back as Megatron. Yes, he has admittingly few moments of being a delicious evil bastard. Yes, I do understand why some would like the redemption arc. However, for me, he doesn’t work for me.
Now to the other half, we get to the other half of the characters I don’t kiki with. Good lord…this Optimus is just ehhh. Except for the few moments of the same warmth I associate with Optimus, he is just there. He doesn’t feel like a character; he feels like the start of the motivations of other characters. He’s the Deus Ex Machina when the situation gets too serious. We never got any moment to truly know about him as a person, his dynamic with the team feel like they’re more coworkers like a family, and the “Primes don’t party” logic only feels like an excuse to justify him being the Stoic and Serious Optimus characterization that plagues the 2010s. When you compare him to other Optimi, it feels like a jarring disconnect. TFA Optimus shows that you can have an Optimus with a personality and Bayverse Optimus shows that you can have a stoic Optimus with more to him than meets the eye. Plus, moments such as his conversation with Arcee after the entire fiasco with Starscream in Season 1 just feels like condescending compassion at best. Sure, he has well meaning intentions. However, as the bestie Tea-mew explains, it comes across as him invalidating Arcee’s trauma. Just because he is an older figure doesn’t make him correct all the time. She doesn’t owe anything to Starscream and Airachnid, she has every right to feel angry and disgusted at them both. Just god, it’s this moment that pretty much made me decide not to vibe with him anymore. Plus, with how Orion Pax is more interesting and had more development than Optimus ever did, that’s when the writers should’ve looked at the script twice.
Yes, it’s a joy to see Peter Cullen as Optimus again. Yes, he has his fair share of charming moments. Yes, I understood that he has his own fair share of tragedies that made him the way he is. However, like Megatron, for me, he doesn’t work for me. Notice how I used the same wording here. For me, they both don’t work for me. They’re perhaps one of my least favorite versions of the characters, especially since other Transformers media showed that you can make them both interesting characters. Stoicism doesn’t justify blandness, and evilness doesn’t justify blandness. If you like them, that’s okay. I rather not bother with them both.
Welp, there goes my Twitter follower count.
There are other issues plaguing the series. As much of a fun and interesting character he is, Knockout is also a gay stereotype. I’ll talk about it more sometime in the future, but in shorter terms: this bit from the TFWiki on Knockout’s page is all you need to know.
“When asked at BotCon 2011, the Prime writers said that there is no designation for gay, or straight, for that matter, on Cybertron, where Transformers are created by the AllSpark, not through sexual reproductions. They also said that Knock Out is a knock out, and that the Nemesis is a very "don't ask, don't tell" place. And then they jokingly deflected the matter, claiming that Knock Out's mannerisms are not caused by any particular orientation, but are simply eccentricities caused by "a glitch in the AllSpark" the day he was created... which is unintentionally so insulting to gay people that it could create an awkward silence in the Void."
Okay, WHAT THE ACTUAL F-
Season 2 feels like a mish mash of things the writers were throwing at the board that day. While Season 3 hit the highs of Season 1, it's also a mish mash that is poorly constructed. We never really got closure on characters like Airachnid and Shockwave. Predacons Rising represents everything that affects Prime in the long run, except for a few gems throughout. Like I said, Prime is objectively a good show. However, compared to other Transformers shows, it’s an aesthetic, no substance type of show. If you wanna watch a show filled with a small cast of characters, set on Earth, deal with heavier subject matter, and have exciting moments, just go watch Beast Wars. This show feels like Transformers if it was written by a 12 year old edgelord. The show has a dark and brooding aesthetic, but the story really isn’t. It doesn’t have a lot to say about the premise of Transformers, as well as confusing violence and edginess for complex stories and characters. In fact, let me say this: TFP is too afraid to commit to change and it greatly suffers for it.
Conclusion: Once again…
I wanna make it clear again that just because I don’t like Transformers Prime doesn’t mean you should stop loving it. Don’t let my opinions influence yours. If you like, that’s great.
I felt bad about my current opinions about Prime as a whole because it does deserves its flowers and fanbase for what it does for Transformers as a whole. However, it’s also not a flawless masterpiece like everyone says it is.
I’m most likely never gonna rewatch it again cause it’s not my thing, and that’s okay. In case I do, I just watch clips of my favorite moments. The ultimate irony is that I have the initials of the show I don’t Kiki with anymore. I could change it, but it’s like the annoying younger sibling to me. I can’t really get rid of it aksksksk.
While I appreciate this show for getting me back into Transformers and for bringing characters like Knockout into mainline Transformers, it’s just not for me.
Anyways, Pingu.

Anna Stats Meta 01 - FEH Numbers + Anna Comparisons
AKA the "Neku fumbles through Gamepress to understand how good base feh!Anna's stats are actually before he gives up and tries to narratively compare her stats to other playable Annas" meta. I'm obviously joking to an extent, but I feel like FEH will be more relevant when it comes to latter stat-related metas such as skills.
Part 1: Trying to Decipher FEH (and Fail)
As mentioned above, I used Gamepress to get a quick peek at her stats, with the fortunate additional benefit of directly comparing her stats to the entire roster. (Or at least as far as GP itself is updated, as I have just learned they stopped updating the site quite some time ago. These images should still be acceptable for my current goals, though.) I also threw in New Years Anna as a bonus, which is in the second image.
It is interesting to see Base Anna's base ATK be this "low" in comparison to most of the cast (it does get up to 45 with her weapon at least), although it is nice to see New Years Anna have a relatively high RES even if it comes at the sacrifice of some DEF. Also...it's neat to see both feh!Annas share a similar HP stat? Above-average SPDs?
...yeah, again I kind of knew from the start that trying to compare gacha stats alone wasn't going to be the most informative.
Part 2: Hypotheticals ft. Playable Annas
Which is why we're going to scrap this and move on to comparing Anna to her interdimensional sisters! For each stat, I will be judging if feh!Anna would be bad, good, or great at said stat on both a base stat and growth rate level.
To keep this section simple and concise, just know that I used Anna's Fandom Wiki page to go over Awakening, Fates, and Three Houses (3H for short) Anna's base stats and growths. Playable Annas only. (Looking at you, Destroyer of Worlds DLC Anna boss.) I could've used Engage as well, but I'd rather compare feh!Anna to similarly-aged adult counterparts. Sorry kid.
HP: GOOD BASE, SLIGHTLY ABOVE-AVERAGE GROWTH
Both Fates and 3H Annas have a 35% growth with starting HPs in the 20s, while Awakening Anna has a pretty hefty base 36 HP and 80% growth. Do note that Awakening Anna is going to cheat a bit here, as she is a pre-promote at base. However, I feel that feh!Anna can be compared to a pre-promote of sorts as well, even if she technically "starts" with your team in FEH. Not to say she's a Jagen-archetype in terms of stats.
As a commander, Anna must hold the frontline in order to be a dependable leader. In that sense, her stats should reflect more on the bulky-end, resulting in a good HP endurance and the ability to endure more through experience. Still, I think it would be cute for her to hold some similarity to the frailer Annas, so a HP growth of 45-55% might be good.
STR: MEDIOCRE BASE, MEDIOCRE GROWTH
All 3 other Annas share a pretty similar STR growth surprisingly enough, as well as base STR in the 9-12 range (Awakening Anna obviously being the upper end at 12). While it is tempting to make feh!Anna a walking powerhouse in her military role, I will actually take notes from FEH and say her STR game is pretty middling, or even potentially below-average.
Anna seems to be more of a person that finds her strength in numbers rather than impressive power. Merchants themselves rely on words and number-crunching to make their points. Keeping to the theme of feh!Anna being the defensive, commanding force, her physical strength is only a supporting factor of herself instead of the entire package. If you want specific numbers for the growth, imagine 25-35%.
MAG: BAD BASE, BAD GROWTH
Now here is a stat where I am going to take my own headcanon more than the stats of other Annas. feh!Anna is a weapon-focused fighter, and I really want her to have a weakness when it comes to magical prowess. It will also be a fun comparison to the other Annas, as their own MAG-related abilities are either equal to or even better than their STR-related stats. In this sense, they are more flexible than feh!Anna, at least when it comes to the art of magic. She'd just rather stick to the art of war, like she trained for.
SKL/DEX: GREAT BASE, GOOD GROWTH
Between the 3 Annas, their SKL stats are pretty mixed between the 40-60% in terms of growths. As feh!Anna takes on the role of a very experienced warrior, I believe that she would have a pretty high SKL from the start and even surpass Awakening Anna's 60% growth. Compared to the merchant Annas, feh!Anna focuses on the axe, a heavy weapon that takes great skill to reliably wield. This should give her an edge in the competition to have great accuracy in her attacks...at least, great accuracy in terms of a FE axe-fighter.
SPD: GOOD BASE, GREAT GROWTH
SPD is a stat all of the Annas have a pretty good hold in, perhaps a reference to their cunning business plans. While feh!Anna does not match them in terms of shop profits, they can still hold similarity when it comes to speed during a battle. This is something that FEH seems to agree with as well, so I am comfortable having a good hold in SPD, although she would be slightly lower in it at the start in comparison to her counterparts.
LCK: BELOW-AVERAGE BASE, BAD GROWTH
Another stat that I am going to base more off of headcanon and straight comparison to other Annas, and wow it's another one she'll suck at! The seasonal paralogues in FEH are obsessed with feh!Anna never catching a break in failing to make an easy buck, with the summer ones even having the other Annas ripping her off! Needless to say, it is easy to imagine feh!Anna having a bad time when it comes to natural luck, where she'd have an even lower growth than 3H Anna's 45% LCK.
DEF: GOOD BASE, GOOD GROWTH
As bow and sword classes, the merchant Annas are usually pretty squishy on the defensive-end, and that shows in their middling DEF growths. As stated before, feh!Anna actually serves as a more bulky wall to the army, she will differ from other Annas by having a much better hold in DEF. Not much to add here, girl actually brings some armor to the fight what do you expect.
RES: GREAT BASE, GOOD GROWTH
One more note that I will actually take from FEH's stats is feh!Anna being at least good when it comes to resisting magic attacks, even if she fails to dish them out. This is another similarity she has with the other Annas, or at least Awakening and Fates Annas. Fates Anna in particular has a radically high base RES that I doubt feh!Anna would compare to, but will still be similar to.
BONUS - CHA: GOOD BASE, MEDIOCRE GROWTH
This is a small aside since this stat would only be comparable to 3H Anna, but I think the two would be somewhat similar? I'm unsure what really counts as "great CHA" for 3H-standards, but as a trained leader, feh!Anna should at least get a decent score at the start. 3H Anna has a 50% CHA growth, which I can see feh!Anna having a slightly smaller number for.
SUMMARY
feh!Anna obviously holds some major differences between her interdimensional versions, but that doesn't mean their stats have to be entirely different! Mainly, feh!Anna would have better defensive stats compared to other playable Annas, but much worse luck. I'm actually surprised by how relatively similar I ended up seeing feh!Anna compared to her alts, seeing as they are in pretty different spots even if they share a merchant gimmick somewhat.
#* ooc#* headcanons#* metas#(I didn't check the other annas' feh stats but it would be fun if they kinda supported these estimations!)

Greetings!
At Chewy, Inc., we’re renowned for providing pet food, toys, healthcare products, and a wide range of pet-related items through our online retail platform and mobile app. While we take pride in offering the convenience and speed our customers expect, we are equally committed to delivering top-notch customer service. Ensuring the happiness of our customers and their pets is our number one priority.
Our customer base has grown consistently, and by the end of 2021 (Q4), we were excited to have 20.7 million active users on our platform. Our net sales have also seen substantial growth, reaching $8.9 billion in 2021—an impressive 24.41% increase from $7.1 billion in 2020 (Macrotrends, 2022). We are optimistic that the final figures for 2022 will surpass previous years’ results.
A significant contributor to our success has been our marketing efforts. In addition to online and TV ads, a large portion of our growth is fueled by word-of-mouth referrals from loyal customers. Our expansive product selection allows customers to easily find what they need without having to shop elsewhere. Additionally, the care and attention we show to both our customers and their pets are reflected in every interaction, which has helped build lasting trust. As we move into new ventures, we will continue to leverage these strengths.
As the newly appointed Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) of Chewy, Inc., I’m excited to share some thrilling news: we are expanding beyond our online retail space! Our first venture into the physical world will be the launch of pet grooming and lodging facilities. While we’ve enjoyed building relationships with our customers through phone and online interactions, we recognize the importance of in-person connections.
These new service-focused brick-and-mortar locations will allow us to deliver the same exceptional care we’re known for in an in-person setting. Our customers love pampering their pets, and our facilities will be designed to cater to those desires. Planned features include self-washing stations, professional grooming appointments, various grooming packages, a luxurious waiting area for pet owners, an indoor play park, upscale pet suites for lodging, daycare services, and an on-site pet chef creating gourmet treats and meals for our furry guests. As our facilities develop, we will continue to introduce more exciting features.
According to our CarePlus partner, Lemonade, 70% of U.S. households currently have pets (Team Lemonade, n.d.), making this new service valuable not just for our customers but for Chewy, Inc. as well. The pet grooming industry is experiencing 8% annual growth and is projected to maintain this pace through at least 2026 (Price, 2022). With the additional services we’re offering, we expect to surpass these growth projections. By diversifying into this new area, we believe these facilities will support and further propel Chewy, Inc.’s continued growth.
Best regards, Ashley De Los Santos Chief Innovation Officer Chewy, Inc.

Maximizing Your Semester Results: Strategies for Success
Semester results often serve as a significant milestone in a student's academic journey, reflecting not only the hard work invested but also offering insights into areas of improvement. Achieving excellent results requires more than just studying hard; it involves strategic planning, effective study habits, and a balanced lifestyle. Here are some key strategies to help you maximize your semester results.
Set Clear Goals
Before diving into the semester, establish clear and attainable goals. Define what you want to achieve in each subject and the grades you aim for. Setting specific goals helps you stay focused and motivated. For instance, rather than a vague goal like “do well in exams,” aim for “achieve at least an 85% in mathematics.” This clarity will guide your study efforts and help you measure progress.
Develop a Study Plan
A well-structured study plan is crucial for managing your time effectively. Break down your syllabus into manageable sections and allocate specific times for each topic. Incorporate regular review sessions and practice tests into your schedule to reinforce learning. Make sure your plan is flexible enough to accommodate unexpected events or changes in priorities.
Prioritize Time Management
Effective time management can significantly impact your semester results. Use tools like calendars or apps to keep track of deadlines, assignments, and exam dates. Prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance. Avoid procrastination by tackling challenging tasks first when your energy levels are high. Implement the Pomodoro Technique or similar time-management strategies to maintain focus and productivity during study sessions.
Employ Active Learning Techniques
Active learning techniques, such as summarizing information in your own words, teaching concepts to others, and applying knowledge through practice problems, can enhance understanding and retention. Engage with study materials through discussions, flashcards, and mind maps. The more actively you interact with the content, the better your grasp on it will be.
Seek Help When Needed
Don’t hesitate to seek help if you're struggling with certain subjects. Utilize resources such as tutors, study groups, and online forums. Your professors and classmates can also be valuable sources of support and clarification. Addressing difficulties early prevents them from becoming major obstacles as exams approach.
Maintain a Balanced Lifestyle
A balanced lifestyle is essential for academic success. Ensure you get adequate sleep, maintain a healthy diet, and incorporate regular exercise into your routine. Physical well-being directly impacts cognitive functions, so taking care of your body can improve concentration and overall performance. Manage stress through relaxation techniques and hobbies to avoid burnout.
Review and Reflect
After receiving your semester results, take time to review and reflect on your performance. Analyze what strategies worked well and identify areas needing improvement. Understanding your strengths and weaknesses will help you adjust your approach for future semesters. Celebrate your achievements and learn from any setbacks to continuously improve your academic strategy.
Embrace a Growth Mindset
Adopting a growth mindset, which focuses on the belief that abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work, can significantly influence your QT Results. View challenges as opportunities for growth rather than obstacles. This positive attitude will motivate you to persist through difficulties and strive for excellence.

How to Grow Nails Fast
Introduction
The Importance of Healthy Nails
Healthy nails are more than just a cosmetic asset; they reflect overall wellness. Nails can signify nutritional deficiencies or health issues. Aiming for strong, long nails not only enhances beauty but also indicates good health.
Common Challenges in Nail Growth
Many face obstacles in growing nails, including breakage, slow growth, and brittleness. These issues can stem from various factors such as poor diet, improper nail care, and environmental influences.
Understanding Nail Anatomy
Structure of a Nail
you can also try this product:ProNail Complex
A nail comprises several parts: the nail plate, nail bed, cuticle, nail folds, and lunula. The nail plate, the visible part, protects the sensitive nail bed underneath. Understanding this structure helps in nurturing nail health.
Nail Growth Cycle
Nails grow from the matrix, the root hidden under the cuticle. The cells in the matrix multiply, pushing older cells out to form the nail. The average growth rate is about 3mm per month, though this can vary with age and health.
Diet and Nutrition
Essential Vitamins and Minerals
Biotin, vitamin E, and zinc are crucial for nail growth. Biotin strengthens keratin, the protein in nails. Vitamin E supports healthy nail beds, while zinc is vital for cell growth and division.
Foods That Promote Nail Growth
Incorporate foods like eggs, nuts, seeds, fish, and leafy greens into your diet. These foods are rich in essential nutrients that promote strong and healthy nail growth.
Hydration and Its Impact
Importance of Drinking Water
Adequate hydration is essential for overall health, including nail growth. Water helps maintain nail flexibility and prevents brittleness. Aim to drink at least eight glasses of water daily.
Moisturizing Your Nails
Just like skin, nails need moisture. Regularly apply moisturizing creams or oils to your nails and cuticles to prevent dryness and promote healthy growth.
Nail Care Routine
Proper Filing Techniques
File nails in one direction to avoid splitting. Use a fine-grit file and shape your nails gently. This reduces the risk of damage and encourages even growth.
Regular Trimming and Maintenance
Trim nails regularly to prevent breakage. Use sharp, clean nail clippers and follow with filing to smooth out edges. This routine supports healthy, strong nails.
Avoiding Harmful Practices
Effects of Nail Biting
Nail biting damages the nail bed and can introduce bacteria, leading to infections. Over time, this habit weakens nails, making them more prone to breakage.
Damage from Harsh Chemicals
Exposure to harsh chemicals in cleaning products or nail polish removers can weaken nails. Wear gloves during chores and choose acetone-free removers to protect your nails.
Protective Measures
Using Gloves for Household Chores
you can also try this product:ProNail Complex
Protect nails from harsh chemicals and water exposure by wearing gloves during chores. This simple step can prevent damage and maintain nail strength.
Nail Strengthening Products
Use nail hardeners and strengthening treatments to fortify your nails. Look for products with ingredients like keratin, biotin, and calcium for best results.
Natural Remedies
Oils and Creams for Nail Health
Natural oils like jojoba, almond, and coconut oil are excellent for moisturizing nails. Apply them regularly to nourish and strengthen your nails.
DIY Nail Masks
Create nail masks using ingredients like honey, avocado, and olive oil. These masks provide deep hydration and essential nutrients to promote nail growth.
Professional Treatments
Benefits of Manicures
Regular manicures keep nails clean and well-shaped. Professional care can address issues like hangnails and cuticle health, contributing to overall nail strength.
Specialized Nail Growth Treatments
you can also try this product:ProNail Complex
Consider treatments like paraffin wax dips and biotin-infused manicures. These specialized treatments provide intensive care to boost nail growth and health.
Managing Health Conditions
Impact of Medical Conditions on Nail Growth
Conditions like psoriasis, thyroid disorders, and fungal infections can impede nail growth. Addressing underlying health issues is crucial for healthy nails.
When to Consult a Dermatologist
Persistent nail problems may require professional evaluation. Dermatologists can diagnose and treat underlying conditions affecting nail health.
Myths and Facts
Debunking Common Nail Growth Myths
Contrary to popular belief, cutting nails short does not make them grow faster. Growth rates are influenced by genetics, health, and care practices.
Evidence-Based Practices
Rely on scientifically supported methods for nail growth. Focus on nutrition, proper care, and hydration for the best results.
Conclusion
Recap of Key Points
Healthy nails result from a combination of proper nutrition, hydration, and diligent care. Avoid harmful practices and use protective measures to maintain nail health.
Encouragement for Consistent Nail Care
Commit to a regular nail care routine. With patience and the right practices, achieving long, strong nails is possible.

How to Grow Your Nails Fast
Introduction
Nail care often takes a backseat in our daily routines, but healthy nails are not just about aesthetics—they are a reflection of overall health and well-being. Whether you're looking to sport longer nails or simply want to strengthen them, understanding the fundamentals of nail growth is essential.
Understanding Nail Growth
Anatomy of the Nail
Nails are composed of keratin, a tough protein that also forms the basis of hair and skin. The nail matrix, located beneath the cuticle, is responsible for producing new cells that push the nail forward, allowing it to grow.
Factors Affecting Nail Growth Rate
Various factors influence the rate at which nails grow, including genetics, age, hormonal changes, and overall health. While some individuals naturally experience faster nail growth, others may find it challenging to achieve significant length.
You can also consider trying this product ProNail Complex
Nail Care Routine
Proper Nail Hygiene
Maintaining clean nails is crucial for preventing infections and promoting healthy growth. Regularly wash your hands and nails with a gentle cleanser, and use a soft nail brush to remove dirt and debris from under the nails.
Moisturizing Techniques
Hydrated nails are less prone to breakage and splitting. Apply a moisturizing cream or oil to your nails and cuticles daily to keep them supple and nourished.
Nail-Strengthening Treatments
Consider incorporating strengthening treatments into your nail care routine, such as nail hardeners or keratin-based products. These formulations can help fortify the nails and reduce brittleness.
Nutrition and Diet
Essential Nutrients for Nail Health
A balanced diet rich in essential nutrients is vital for promoting nail growth. Protein, biotin, vitamins A and C, and minerals like zinc and iron are particularly beneficial for nail health.
Foods to Promote Nail Growth
Incorporate foods such as eggs, fish, nuts, leafy greens, and fruits into your diet to provide your body with the nutrients it needs to support healthy nail growth.
Hydration and Water Intake
Importance of Hydration for Nail Growth
Hydration plays a significant role in nail health, as well-hydrated nails are less prone to breakage and brittleness. Ensure you're drinking an adequate amount of water throughout the day to keep your nails hydrated from within.
Recommended Water Intake for Healthy Nails
Experts recommend drinking at least eight glasses of water per day to maintain optimal hydration levels, which can contribute to faster nail growth and overall nail health.
Avoiding Damaging Habits
Impact of Nail Biting and Picking
Nail biting and picking can damage the nail bed and hinder growth. Break the habit by keeping your nails neatly trimmed and applying a bitter-tasting nail polish to deter biting.
Effects of Harsh Chemicals on Nails
Exposure to harsh chemicals, such as those found in cleaning products and nail polish removers, can weaken the nails and slow growth. Wear gloves when handling chemicals to protect your nails, and opt for acetone-free nail polish removers.
Protective Measures
Wearing Gloves During Chores
Protect your nails from damage by wearing gloves while performing household chores or gardening tasks. Gloves provide a barrier against harsh chemicals and prevent excessive exposure to water, which can weaken the nails.
Limiting Exposure to Harsh Weather Conditions
Extreme temperatures and environmental factors can take a toll on nail health. During cold weather, keep your nails moisturized and wear gloves outdoors to prevent dryness and brittleness.
Supplements and Vitamins
Overview of Nail Growth Supplements
Supplements specifically formulated to promote nail growth and strength are available over-the-counter. Look for products containing biotin, collagen, and vitamins that support nail health.
Key Vitamins and Minerals for Nail Health
Biotin (vitamin B7), vitamin E, and iron are essential nutrients for maintaining strong, healthy nails. Consider adding a multivitamin or targeted supplement to your daily regimen to ensure you're meeting your nutritional needs.
Proper Nail Trimming Techniques
Importance of Regular Nail Trimming
Regular nail trimming helps prevent breakage and allows new growth to emerge. Use sharp, clean nail scissors or clippers to trim your nails straight across, and gently file any rough edges to prevent snagging.
Tips for Safe and Effective Nail Trimming
Avoid trimming your nails too short, as this can increase the risk of ingrown nails. Aim to leave a small white edge at the tips of your nails, and file them into your desired shape with a gentle emery board.
Patience and Consistency
Understanding the Natural Nail Growth Cycle
Nails grow at a steady but slow pace, typically around 1/8 inch per month. Be patient and consistent with your nail care routine, and don't expect overnight results.
Importance of Consistent Nail Care Routine
Consistency is key when it comes to promoting nail growth and maintaining overall nail health. Stick to a regular nail care regimen, incorporating moisturizing, trimming, and protective measures into your daily routine.
Seeking Professional Help
When to Consult a Dermatologist or Nail Specialist
If you're experiencing persistent nail issues or changes in nail growth patterns, it may be time to seek professional guidance. A dermatologist or nail specialist can assess your nails and provide personalized recommendations for improving their health.
Professional Treatments for Promoting Nail Growth
In some cases, professional treatments such as nail strengthening treatments or prescription medications may be necessary to address underlying nail concerns. Your healthcare provider can recommend the most appropriate course of action based on your individual needs.
You can also consider trying this product ProNail Complex
Conclusion
Growing your nails fast requires a combination of proper nail care, nutrition, hydration, and patience. By following these tips and incorporating them into your daily routine, you can achieve stronger, healthier nails and enjoy the benefits of beautiful manicures. Remember to listen to your body and seek professional help if needed to address any persistent nail issues. With time and dedication, you can achieve the long, luscious nails you desire.

~ Making soap ~
🧼 Activity title: Making soap
🧼 Duration and amount: 1st of December, 1 hour
🧼 Type of activity: creativity and service
~ Activity description ~
On the 1st of December, our whole class gathered in the school laboratory to make soap for the annual Christmas fair, as per tradition. We got there early, and once everyone had arrived, we started with the saponification process.
The chemistry teacher taught us the saponification process. To make soap, you need to mix sodium hydroxide with oil. Sodium hydroxide, or lye, is an essential ingredient when making soap. When sodium hydroxide beads or flakes are mixed with a liquid, a lye solution is created. The solution, when mixed with fats and oils, will cause a chemical reaction called saponification. The result of saponification is a handmade soap.
After making the base of the soap, we were each given a small amount of it so that each of us could make at least one soap. We were then free to add any synthetic coloring we wished. My friend and I decided to mix our differently colored soap bases, and we ended up making three beautiful green and yellow soaps, one with stripes, one with a circle in the center, and one with two equal, differently colored halves.
~ Reflection ~
I enjoyed learning about the saponification process and using that knowledge to make something I had never made before. This was a new experience, and I was a bit scared about whether I would be able to follow through without messing up somewhere along the way., but everything went well, and, if given the chance, I would love to repeat this experience in the future!
~ Learning Outcomes ~
🧼 Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
🧼 Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
🧼 Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experience
🧼 Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

Getting to know my decks, Part 2. Casanova Tarot Edition!
I have to admit, for someone who isn't well versed in tarot, these cards are a little hard to interpret and their little handbook isn't extremely helpful. If i did a full reading with these, I'd probably have to do outer research on certain things in the cards and not just look to the book that comes with it. This deck seems to be very physical, love, and sex focused so I don't know how often I'll use this for everyday readings. It could be something to do with a partner rather than alone, but anyways lets get right into it.
I cleansed my deck first with incense smoke that was already burning, talked to it a little, told it I was interested in it but unsure about our relationship. Then I took a look at all the cards, mostly very muted in color. Some had a color that stood out more, some didn't have anything at all. Numerology wise, pretty much the same. Aside from the number on the card itself, there aren't a lot of background details to look to for numbers. That made it a little more difficult for me because I like to read based off of the art, but maybe this deck will challenge me to not be so literal in my readings.
In the interview, I'll include the card that was pulled, a number to go along with it, and if there was a corresponding color I'll include that, too. I put key words that relate to the numbers/colors/the actual card itself, and then I go on into my interpretations of those.
Here We Go!
Please introduce yourself
10 of Chalices: 10 - Red
Key words: Completion, reflection, external appearances, refers to the game of love, harmony, perfection, union, positive outcome, passion, love, sex, danger.
My interpretation: I think the deck is being somewhat self-centered here, maybe playing a little game of its own. It tells me that it literally does refer to the "game" of love, and it seems to also tell me it loves itself, thinks its perfect, passionate, and beautiful. But just as love, there is also a dangerous side to it. I think I should be careful when referring to this deck for love based readings. While I believe it could allow for some guidance, I have to also remember that when it comes to love I am not the only one involved.
2. What are your strengths?
2 of Chalices: 2 - Yellow
Key words: Duality, balance, opposing forces, passion, the couple, celebration, a toast, positivity, optimism, warmth, growth, unity, partnership, sex
My interpretation: Chalices, being in reference to the game of love again. I think it's telling me that its strengths come with love and sex. That's what leads me to think maybe this would be a good deck to read WITH a partner about our love life or sex life. It can be a voice of reason between lovers, can help you understand yourself and your lover more, and can bring the 2 of you closer in a positive and unified way.
3. What are your limitations?
Wheel of Fortune: 10 - 6
Key words: Completion, endings, reflection, cycles, seasons, cycle of events, going in a circle, passing of time, loss of direction, fairness, values, solution.
My interpretation: I think the deck is trying to tell me is that it's quite literally limited in what it is, which is a love and sex deck. At least, for me personally. It has a cycle, it knows what it is and what its value to me needs to be. I may not need to use it very often because if I do, I could potentially end up lost or more confused than I was before. The deck must be used for very specific love, sex, and relationship type readings. I can respect that.
4. What can I learn from you?
Knave of Chalices: 2 - Yellow
Key words: Duality, balance, opposing forces, positivity, optimism, warmth, growth, sincere lover, entirety, destiny, mystery, mental ability. The man depicted is noted as not wearing a mask. He is also standing by the water.
My interpretation: This makes perfect sense to me for a deck dedicated to love. It's telling me that I can learn more balance in my relationship, how to be a more sincere partner, how to not wear an emotional mask all the time and how to allow myself to be more emotional, hence the water depicted in the card. How to love myself and my partner in our entirety and how to strengthen my mental ability to be a good partner. Very straight-forward.
5. What is the best way to work with you?
7 of Pentacles: 7
Key words: Change, evaluation, patience, boredom, habit, lack of harmonious communication, insensitivity, inability to be/come enthusiastic, perseverance.
My interpretation: I think the deck is telling me the best time to work with it rather than the best way. The way I see this, it's telling me to work with it when a change in my relationship happens, when I feel myself feeling locked in the same habits with my partner, when we lack communication, when I don't understand something about my partner, or when I feel like things have become stagnant or hit a bump in my love life. So far, there have only been maybe a handful of times that I can think of when this deck may have been useful, if that's the purpose it wants me to use it for, but I can see that being very useful in the future if ever needed, now that I know.
6. What is the outcome of our relationship?
The Emperor: 4 - Purple
Key words: Stability, foundation, prophecy, dreams, high power, royalty, luxury, fecundation, masculine strength, administration, powerful protection, symbol of power, control
My interpretation: The deck is sort of telling me that I'll become like it, in a sense lol. I'll gain more confidence in what/who I am. I'll become into my strength when it comes to love and relationships, I'll be confident and start to treat myself like a queen and expect my lovers to do so as well, I'll gain my own power back. But I'll also gain stability and better foundation in my love life, and more fertility in a sense that I'll be able to better grow myself and my partner with the help of this deck.
Very insightful reading. Like I said before, sort of hard to interpret as someone who doesn't really do a lot of tarot readings but this was fun nonetheless. My suspicions about this deck seemed to have been correct. I don't know how often I'll use this deck, but maybe the first time I do use it will have to be with my partner.

Work-Life Harmony for Professionals with Selfmaximization in India: Balancing Act
Achieving a harmonious work-life balance is a universal ambition in today’s fast-paced world. It is an objective that cuts across all spheres of expertise and geography. Finding this balance can be particularly hard for professionals in India, where the demands of work and life frequently overlap. But if you have the correct methods and outlook, like those advocated by “Selfmaximiz,” you may make your work-life balance into a well orchestrated symphony.
Work-Life Balance: An Ever-Evolving Problem
The concept of “work-life balance” is incredibly important to professionals all around the world. It exemplifies the struggle to balance one’s responsibilities in both their personal and professional lives such that neither takes precedence over the other. This goal can occasionally seem distant in India, where occupations can be quite demanding.
India’s professional scene, which ranges from the busy streets of Mumbai’s financial sector to the tranquil offices in Bangalore’s tech parks, is incredibly diverse, which creates a special set of issues. Long commutes, demanding jobs, and long working hours are all very typical. But if you use the appropriate attitude, you can overcome these difficulties.
Selfmaximiz: Promoting Balance in Work and Life
Enter “Selfmaximiz,” a company that has been causing a stir in India by endorsing a wholistic strategy for professionals to achieve work-life balance. Selfmaximiz’s ideology is based on the idea that real success involves both personal fulfillment and professional accomplishment.
1. Mindful self-evaluation
A conscious self-assessment is where professionals should begin their path toward work-life balance, according to Selfmaximiz. This process entails self-examination and reflection on one’s objectives, strengths, and limitations on the professional and personal levels. It’s about realizing what’s important to you.
2. Establishing Firm Boundaries
The blurring of lines between work and personal life is one of the biggest problems that Indian professionals encounter. Selfmaximiz enables people to establish clear limits at work and at home. This is developing the ability to say “no” when it is appropriate and setting aside specific time for family, hobbies, and self-care.
3. Mastering Time Management
Work-life balance is based on effective time management. Selfmaximiz provides professionals with useful tools and strategies to help them prioritize their activities and manage their time properly. The Pomodoro Technique, task batching, and goal planning are some examples of these techniques.
4. Making Wise Use of Technology
Technology can be a two-edged sword in the modern digital era. Selfmaximiz stresses the significance of technology use with awareness. Professionals can re-engage with their surroundings and loved ones by cutting back on screen time and creating tech-free zones.
5. Stress reduction and health
Selfmaximiz is aware that stress is a necessary component of working in a career. However, they place a strong emphasis on the value of controlling stress through breathing exercises, mindfulness, and physical health. They offer yoga, meditation, and workshops for stress reduction.
6. Constant Improvement and Learning
Last but not least, Selfmaximiz promotes a mindset of ongoing learning and personal development. This entails scheduling time for developing connections, engaging in hobbies, and learning new skills. Professionals who invest in their personal growth live more rewarding lives.
India’s Work-Life Balance: A Trip Worth Taking
Finding Work-Life balance for professionals a process rather than an end point. It requires perseverance, compassion for oneself, and constant work. Even while the difficulties experienced by professionals in India may be particular, the benefits of living a balanced life are widespread.
Work-life balance is, thus, both a challenge and an opportunity for professionals in India. Finding harmony amidst the turmoil is attainable with the correct attitude and resources, like those provided by Selfmaximiz. Selfmaximiz serves as a ray of hope for Indian professionals who are still looking for balance by pointing them in the direction of a richer and more satisfying existence.

You failed me
multiple x gn!reader
word count: 2,524
warnings: cursing, yelling, arguing, death, angst, blood, explosion, the egg (it deserves its own warning)
synopis: you guys failed me(us)
(the lyrics go with each person, might not get everyone, and also xd’s part is kinda wonky)
song: rät by penelope scott
I come from scientists and atheists and white men who kill God They make technology, high quality, complex physiological Experiments and sacrilege in the name of public good They taught me everything, just like a daddy should
Quackity, Karl, George, and Sapnap left you. Your mentors, your friends. The ones who taught you everything you knew. They went to build their little “Kinoko Kingdom” while you stayed in the ruins, the dust. “They’ll regret that.” you swore. You built something better, something greater.
It was called “Las Nevadas”. A place where everyone was allowed. They would remember not to fuck with you. They would soon realize that they should watch their back for the rest of their short, stupid lives.
“Watch out, you guys, I'm watching your every move.”
And you were beautiful and vulnerable and power and success God damn, I fell for you, your flamethrowers, your tunnels, and your tech I studied code because I wanted to do something great like you And the real tragеdy is half of it was true
Wilbur majorly fucked up. He was supposed to be with you to the end, your guys’ country, right? No. He left you behind. He went to find peace, find his heaven, while you stayed on earth, wallowing away until your flesh seeped off your rattling bones, rotting away by yourself, with no one to bare witness.
“Why didn’t you bring me with you Wilbur?” you asked his stupid grave on top of the once L’Manburg. “Why did you get the ecstasy, why do I get the remains?”
“I’m coming for you Wilbur, and when I do, we are going to wreck upon justice on everyone who wronged us, wronged you, they will feel our wrath.”
But we've been fuckin' mеan, we're elitist, we're as flawed as any church And this faux-rad West coast dogma has a higher fuckin' net worth I bit the apple 'cause I trusted you, it tastes like Thomas Malthus Your proposal is immodest and insane And I hope someday Selmers rides her fuckin' train
"Y/n!" Technoblade yelled. "I TRUSTED YOU, AND YOU BETRAYED ME, FOR WHAT, TO BLOW UP A STUPID COUNTRY, A COUNTRY THAT WAS DOOMED TO FAIL FROM THE START." He started to battle you, missing every single swing, blinded by fury.
“YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE ON MY SIDE.”
"LOOK AT ME GODDAMN IT."
You looked up at him in the eyes and boldly said, "No, Techno, don’t you see, you’re in the wrong here, you’re the one who betrayed me." You were blinded by friendship, you couldn’t see that Tommy had betrayed Techno, and that what the Butcher Army did to Techno was terrible.
"What do you mean Y/n, you know what they did, they wronged me, they used me, they tortured me, they gave me hell, so I gave it back to them, I destroyed the things they loved, the people they loved, you see Y/n, those who have treated me with kindness I will repay that kindness tenfold, and those who treat me with injustice, that use me, that hunt me down, that hurt my friends, I shall repay that injustice a thousand times over, do you understand?"
"No I don't, Techno, you can't do this.” you begged. He pushed you out of the way, "Get out of my way Y/n." “No, I won’t, I won’t let you destroy everything we worked for.”
“Well, then I have to fight you.”
And thus the battle began, Swords clashing against each other, blood spilling from open wounds, friends digging each other into a whole both of them couldn’t get out of. Techno was letting you off easy, he knew his strength, he knew that he could’ve beaten you in one swipe, but he didn’t want to kill you.
So when you had the opportunity, you swept from under his feet, and knocked him down. You placed your blade onto his neck, pressing down until a little drop of blood appeared, “Stay down Technoblade, or I’ll do something worse than try to put you on trial.”
He watched as you walked away from him, trying to save L’Manberg from a worst fate than death itself.
“One day Y/n, you’ll see, I’m on your side.”
I loved you, I loved you, I loved you, it's true I wanted to be you and do what you do I lived here, I loved here, I bought it, it's true I feel so stupid, and so used I feel so used
"Why would you do that Dream? You didn't have to do that." you interrogated. Dream had stupidly blew up the community house. You both didn't plan that, he had gone behind your back. "I had to Y/n, you wouldn't understand."
"What do you mean I don't understand, you went against my back, we were supposed to-" you cut off yourself, "Dream, don't you understand, you did something stupid, and what did you get, you got stupid jail." "The reason I did that is because I needed to isolate myself from humanity." he said, proudness lacing his words.
"What do you mean?" you questioned. "If anyone knows I can revive people, I'm screwed, so that's why I need to be by myself, yeah it sucks major ass, but at least no one else will know, well, besides you anyways." "I have a task for you Y/n/n, I need you to find a way to bring Tommy and Ghostbur in here."
"Why Dream?"
"I'm going to revive Wilbur."
I was your baby, your firstborn, the hot girl in your comp-sci class And I was Darwin's prep school dream, bred, born and raised to kick your ass I fell for circuit boards, rocket ships, pictures of the stars If you could only be what you pretend you are
"PHILZA MINECRAFT COME BACK HERE." you were chasing Phil, through the woody forest, covered by oak trees. He had information on Technoblade's whereabouts and you needed it. You chased him with your enchanted netherite armor, netherite sword and axe, and a few op potions. Your goal was to capture Philza and interrogate him on where Techno's place was. The thing was, you were his child. His own child trying to kill his own son.
He felt betrayed, his own child turned against him and their brother, their family. "The Butcher Army must've gotten to you somehow." he thought in his head. Surely, his darling Y/n didn't do it on their own will, right?
He was incorrect, you did it because you believed that Techno needed to be brought to justice, by punishment. You believed that your own sibling needed to die, because he was a "liability" to L'Manberg's growth and future. He needed to die because as long as he would live his long life with his little enderman Edward, retired, he would still cause trouble to everything you, Quackity, Tubbo, Fundy, and Ranboo had built.
He pleaded, "Stop Y/n, you don't have to do this." You argued, "I do Philza, as long as he lives, my plans for L'Manberg will forever cease to exist."
He felt like shit, you called him Philza, not Dadza, or Dad, or anything besides his normal name. "Did I screw something up?" he asked himself quietly under his breath. "Yes you did Phil, you took the traitor's side." you had heard Phil mumble.
"HE'S NOT A TRAITOR." Phil yelled at you. "Yes he is, he deserves what he is about to get, I will say it again, where is his base?"
"I'm not saying, Y/n, why are you doing this, Techno is your own sibling." "He's not my sibling anymore, that stopped when he destroyed L'Manberg, you're lucky I forgived you." you declared.
"Y/n/n, please don't do this."
"I have to Dadza, I can't let him roam free."
When I said take me to the moon, I never meant take me alone I thought if mankind toured the sky, it meant that all of us could go But I don't want to see the stars if they're just one more piece of land For us to colonize, for us to turn to sand
Bad had tried to convice you to join the Eggpire. You had no effect while being next to the egg, and he had to take you out. People who had no effect towards the egg had to be eliminated.
He was creepily following you, waiting until you stopped to get a chance to capture you. He had hope that you did have an effect, that you would join the Egg with him. He didn't want to kill you, you were his best friend, besides Skeppy of course.
"Come back here Y/n." he said. "No chance in hell Bad, get the fuck away from me." "HEY, LANGUAGE!" he exclaimed. "No language, get away from me, you're creeping me out."
He threw his trident, spinning in the air, trying to catch up to your frantic steps. You were trying to get to Church Prime, where no one could kill anyone, hopefully Bad would abide to that rule. You were just about to step on Church Prime when you bumped into a hard, armored chest.
You looked up shyly, and saw Punz, with his red eyes reflecting anger. "Where are you going Y/n?" he questioned. "Somewhere." you blankly stated. You were desperate, you didn't want to die, or anything else that Bad was going to do to you. You tried to dodge Punz, but he placed a hand on your shoulder, "Stay right here Y/n."
"No, get away from me, I don't know what's wrong with all of you, but go away, I don't want anything to do with your stupid Eggpire." He raged, and grabbed your wrist heavily, "DON'T TALK ABOUT THE EGG LIKE THAT, IT WILL TAKE CONTROL OF THE SERVER, AND YOU ALL WILL BE ITS SERVANTS." "LET ME THE FUCK GO PUNZ." you screamed. You were wiggling in his grip, trying to escape his lunatic self.
While he was holding you, you saw two other shadows behind you. It was Antfrost and Bad. "What do you guys want from me, I didn't do anything wrong."
"You are against the Egg Y/n, people who are like you and Tommy have to die."
"Well, I'm not dying today." you murmured under your breath. "What was that you said?" Antfrost asked you.
You smirked, "I'm not dying today, I'll tell you one more time, let go of me."
Bad and Antfrost walked closer to you, Punz right behind you, all of them cornering you into a tight spot. "What you going to do about it Y/n, you're cornered."
"You'll know when they get here, but for now, you better run boys."
'Cause we're so fuckin' mean, we're so elitist, we're as fucked as any church And this bullshit West coast dogma has a higher fuckin' net worth I bit the apple 'cause I loved you, and why would you lie? And then I realized that you're just as naïve as I am Oh, you're so traumatized it makes me want to cry
"Tubbo, don't do this." Schlatt had unfortunately found out that you were a spy, that you were on Pogtopia's side. He had ordered Tubbo to kill you with fireworks, to light you on fire, give you blisters all over your body. "Please Tubbs, you're my friend." you pleaded.
"I can't Y/n/n, or something worse will happen." he whispered to you. "What do you mean?" you asked. "He can-" he trailed off, looking somewhere else besides your eyes. "Tubbo, you don't have to do what that stupid bastard tells you to do, you're your own person, with your own thoughts and actions."
"I'm sorry Y/n, I hope you can forgive me."
"TUBBO N-" you was cut off by firewords hitting your skin, making blisters and burn marks all over your body. You lost your second canon life, feeling betrayed by Tubbo. He killed you for what, a stupid father who never cared about him in his entire life, a father who exiled his friends that actually treated him like a person, and not like some random piece of trash.
You respawned in your bed, feeling bruises and bumps mostly on your forearms and your back.
"I'll help you Tubbo, I’ll get rid of him.”
You dumb bitch I loved you, I loved you, I loved you, it's true I wanted to be you and do what you do I lived here, I loved here, I bought it, it's true I'm so embarrassed, I feel abused
“Come on Y/n/n, come with me.” Punz begged of you. He wanted you to visit the Egg. You didn’t want to be controlled by a stupid omelette. "I'm not Punzo, why are you so obsessed with that stupid thing."
"DON'T SPEAK OF THE EGG LIKE THAT."
You put your hands in front of you, accidentally touching Punz's chest, "Ok calm down buddy." He didn't calm down and instead yelled at you on why you had to join the Eggpire.
"If you join, you will be forever happy."
"If you join you'll get whatever you want."
You were tired of the members of the Eggpire to convince you to join them, you didn't like eggs anyway. "Punz, for the last time, I'm not joining you, stop telling me."
“Then you have to die.”
So fuck your tunnels, fuck your cars, fuck your rockets, fuck your cars again You promised you'd be Tesla, but you're just another Edison 'Cause Tesla broke a patent, all you ever broke were hearts I can't believe you tore humanity apart
“XD!” You were pissed at him, he had destroyed your house, made your friends pissed at you, just everything you liked. All because he wanted you for himself.
He wanted you to be dependent on his every word, and he was being a manipulative psychopath. And you didn’t tolerate that, it was like he was his human counterpart, Dream.
He walked to you with confidence, waiting for to get a hug from you, well, he didn’t get that. You slapped him so hard his head swung to the left.
“WHAT THE FUCK.”
“That’s what you get you stupid son of a bitch. You fucking ruined everything.” “Calm down Y/n/n, what is wrong?” He acted concerned, but you knew that he was faking. He would do anything to get someone’s approval.
“DO YOU WANNA KNOW WHAT’S WRONG, IT’S YOU, YOUR STUPID PRESENCE IN MY LIFE. YOU KEEP ON WALKING AROUND LIKE YOU FUCKING OWN THE PLACE.”
“Calm down darling, just take some netheri-” you interrupted him by slapping the ore out of his hands. “I don’t need jack shit from you XD, you know what, take back the necklace, I don’t want it.” You pulled the shiny, green emerald necklace off your neck, and pulled XD’s palm out.
You placed the necklace filled with memories, and put it on his hand. You closed up his palm, and walked away, leaving XD to his own accord.
“We could’ve had evertything X.”

♡ Pick a Card ♡
Advice from your Spirit Guides!
This reading is for entertainment purposes only.
This is a timeless reading for the collective, therefore it is likely that some messages will not resonate with you. Please only take the messages that do! The messages that do not, are meant for somebody else. Remember that the future is never set in stone and that you possess free will! Love you! ♡
Pile 1
Charm: Shell
You may see shells as signs from the universe. You may have Venusian placements. You have a tough exterior, but once you finally open up to people you are a hidden gem! You are a person that values privacy.
Flower: Carnation
The meaning of carnation changes depending on its colour, since this one is a stripped purple carnation, it symbolizes rejection/refusal and capriciousness. It being a dry bud, for me at least, symbolizes that this is a small issue that isn't likely to grow! You might've been refused a caprice recently, or you may have too high expectations that are likely not going to be fulfilled.
Significator: Page of Cups
Self-sufficient is the word I thought of when I saw this card. I think that at the moment you are really starting to work through your emotions, you might be finally doing some introspection, journaling, talking to people, seeing a therapist, etc. You are beginning a journey of emotional growth. You might also be receiving a message soon, be aware of any symbols that matter to you or ask the universe for certain symbols for guidance.
Astro: Virgo and Capricorn
There is a high chance that you have Virgo or Capricorn placements. You may be earth dominant. You may be Mercury/Saturn dominant/ruled. This could also apply to the person you need advice on if that is the case.
I thought of soil when I saw these cards, not a plant, but very well-nourished soil. It seems like you are making a foundation for yourself that is not rooted in anyone else, it simply comes from you. You are the soil, the water, the nutrients, and your future self is the plant. Flower crowns may be significant to you as well, or you may find great healing by connecting with nature and connecting to nature's cycles.
What you need advice on:
VI of Wands and X of Pentacles (reversed)
There are a few possibilities I see here. You may be having a hard time getting your accomplishments noticed by others, you might not receive the praise you desire or feel you deserve. Another possibility is that you may have a hard time feeling successful due to your financial situation. You may have received a large sum of money that should make you happy, but it doesn't. You may be very well off financially, but it is causing some hardships, and others might not understand these hardships because they think that they'd be very happy in your position.
Advice:
King of Pentacles and XVIII. The Moon
I feel like at least one of you should monetize your intuition. Some of you have or will meet a person (very likely an earth placement), that is either a business partner or a lover/friend, that will somehow help you with your financial issue. They might recommend you to someone for example. Perhaps if you confide in the King of Pentacles, they'll help you immensely, they're someone you can rely on, if not financially, emotionally. Others should embody the King of Pentacles, be determined, stick to a routine. For others, someone could be hiding smth from you that would help you immensely with this issue. Listen to your intuition! Do not forget that your anxieties and fears are valid, and it is normal to be feeling like this! Your worth is not defined by your financial success!
38. Willow and 5. Cerato and Honeysuckle
Willow talks about self-responsibility: make a plan, stick to it and, most importantly, try to stop complaining. You have the strength to get through this, complaining just engrains it in your head that you have a problem making it harder to get out of that mindset, instead try working on the solution. Cerato talks about the fact that no matter how many people you ask, no matter how many books you read, your gut knows best! Trust yourself and your intuition. Whatever feels right, is! Just know that domestic happiness is very important right now, cherish whoever that may be (King of Pentacles perhaps), be it your cat or even yourself if you live alone, give and accept affection! This could be a message for a specific person but I feel called to note that as I was shuffling the oracles I started singing "Runaway" by Aurora. Perhaps the lyrics are meaningful to one of you, or it can reassure you that this pile is meant for you if this is your favorite song.
Pile 2
Charm: Cactus
You may see cacti as signs from the universe or have a very strong emotional attachment to them due to a certain memory. I feel like a lot of people are attracted to you, but they feel that you will reject or hurt them if they get too close. Or you consciously or subconsciously hurt people when they get too close. You might think you don't deserve love, which is NOT TRUE. Love isn't something that has to be deserved! But if it were, you most certainly deserve it!
Flower: Freesia
Yellow freesias symbolize joy, renewal, and friendship. It is the go-to flower to convey to someone that you trust them. You are incredibly trustworthy, someone to whom your loved ones come for advice. You are a great listener, are very delicate and tactful in your interactions with others.
Significator: IX. The Hermit
You are doing a lot of self-reflection right now, sometimes the pondering even turns into daydreams. You may also be connecting with and thinking about your spiritual/religious beliefs. You are looking to understand the light that illuminates your path. You may have started meditating, or you should start! Spiritual awakening is happening or coming soon! You could be isolating yourself at the moment as well.
Astro: Jupiter and Libra
There is a high chance that you have Libra or Sagittarius placements. You may be air dominant. You may be Jupiter/Venus dominant/ruled. This could also apply to the person you need advice on if that is the case.
The words that I kept thinking about at this point in the reading were "letting karma do its job" and "visions of the future". You may be clairvoyant! But most of you act a lot like the Justice tarot card, you like balance and fairness, and have a life philosophy based on these ideas. Your higher education might've played a big role in this.
What you need advice on:
II of Cups (reversed) and Queen of Swords
Someone may be rationalizing or overthinking a perceived imbalance in a relationship. Of course, the Queen of Swords, likely an air placement, is intelligent, they may be right in their thinking but because of the advice received, I believe their judgment is clouded by insecurity. They may feel unworthy of what they receive, seeing that you chose the cactus charm and have libra as an astro card, it is very likely that this is you but this may be your person as well, both options are possible.
Advice:
King of Cups and IV of Swords (reversed)
See, the King of Cups is upright, this person, very likely a water placement, is very emotionally mature, compassionate, and understanding. Whereas the swords person is exhausted and stagnant due to the deep contemplation happening. I feel they may also be insecure, causing the overthinking. If this is you, trust me, you deserve the King of Cups! If this is your person, make them realize that they deserve you! They need a lot of reassurance.
1. Agrimony and 7. Chestnut Bud and Morning Glory
Love, whether romantic or platonic, requires hard work, determination, and affection. Agrimony talks about a person that needs balance, both inside and outside. You may find it by showing more of yourself, especially by starting with your loved ones. Because you might not be used to it, start little by little, and observe how accepting those you love can be. Chestnut Bud talks about focus and learning from experience. For me, it's another confirmation that someone is overthinking, see the girl looking very melancholic, whereas their counterpart is goofing around. Don't take life too seriously! Have fun with your loved one!
Pile 3
Charm: Leaf
You might see certain trees or leaves as signs from the universe. When I picked up this charm I immediately thought "Leave!" So if you were thinking about a voyage, there's your sign, just be mindful of covid regulations, please. The idea of falling also popped up, so you might be falling for someone rn or feeling like you're in a perpetual fall emotionally.
Flower: Orchid
I would just like to point out that, although this orchid dried white, it was actually a baby purple orchid when alive. I will therefore explain both colors: purple orchids represent royalty, admiration, and respect, whereas white ones symbolize purity and innocence. But they are, no matter what color, always a symbol of luxury, delicate beauty, and virility.
Significator: 0. The Fool
You may be starting smth new with confidence, smth you haven't done before, making you a bit inexperienced, but still willing to take the leap of faith. OR you may be acting foolishly by looking back or the opposite way of the thing you'd do with confidence. Let me explain, as you can see the Astro cards are both looking in one direction, with determination, and confidence. Whereas The Fool is looking the opposite way. Your significator may be saying that you're being foolish to look the other way, wondering what-ifs.
Astro: Sagittarius and Mars
There is a high chance that you have Sagittarius, Aries, or Scorpio placements. You may be fire dominant. You may be Jupiter/Mars dominant/ruled. This could also apply to the person you need advice on if that is the case.
You have a clear goal that you can easily reach through your actions. Look at Mars' demeanor, he knows Sagittarius is hitting the target. Do not doubt yourself, there's nothing to worry about. Stay focused!
What you need advice on:
XI. Justice (reversed) and Queen of Cups
Clearly, there is a decision to be made here, and you really want to listen to your heart. And you're questioning whether you should? I just want to reassure you, the Queen of Cups is highly in tune with their intuition and their emotions, you should trust yourself.
Advice:
X of Swords (reversed) and II of Pentacles
You are clearly in pain, whether or not it is talking about this decision that is eating you up. Healing and recovery are important right now! It's time to stop resisting an inevitable end, and start recovering. Look, the reversal allows for the swords to just fall out of your back, just look inwards! Don't forget to balance work with fun, you deserve to relax! Another way to see this is that you are restricting yourself by seeing this as a choice, why not do both? Although, if we are talking about people here, there better be a mutual agreement on polygamy! I will not invite you to cheat! If we are talking about activities, you are capable of doing both if it's too hard to choose, you just need to figure out how to balance them. A specific message is that some of you want to go back to doing smth you've dreamt of doing as a child, if that is the case, pls do it, at least as a hobby!
13. Gorse and 32. Vine and Trumpet Gentian
There is a need to heal some inner wounds. I immediately thought of inner child work when I saw the Trumpet Gentian in combination with the Vine. Vine talks about acts of service and leadership skills, try parenting yourself/your inner child, give yourself the love that you may have lacked as a kid. You are worthy of it! Gorse is all about perspective and imagination. Do a brainstorming of possible outcomes depending on the decision you take, you can do this alone, but the input of loved ones that can be honest with you would do wonders. Don't forget your future can go in many different ways, and whichever decision you take is the right one!
Pile 4
Charm: Angel
You may see angels or angel numbers as signs from the universe. You are a person that is divinely guided and divinely protected. It seems to me like you have a very strong intuition or are very aware of your divine gifts.
Flower: Rose
Of course, roses are always symbolic of love. Therefore I believe it is more note-worthy here to talk about the size. This is a tiny rose. Just like the carnation bud, it did not have time to grow and is now immortalized in its youth stage. You may be inexperienced in love, or hold naive beliefs about it. You might be experiencing youthful romance right now.
Significator: XV. The Devil
What I find interesting here is that you got the angel charm with the devil significator. This is very conflicting energy. The sentence that I kept thinking throughout the reading is "wolf in sheep clothing" or "sheep in wolf's clothing", I kept mixing up the words, just very contradictory energy. The way you present yourself to the world is very different from how you truly are. You might also be a person prone to obsessing over people, things, interests, etc. I also would like to note here that this pile was the hardest to get the cards, the amount of shuffling I did here until the cards flew made me sweat hahaha. It's also a very confusing reading. Therefore, I believe you carry a lot of confusion yourself, although your intuition is incredibly powerful, you might suffer from being very paranoid, and sometimes being unable to differentiate your intuition from your delusions. I also think you're very secretive, you do not want people to know or understand you.
Astro: Neptune and Moon
There is a high chance that you have Pisces or Cancer placements. You may be water dominant. You may be Neptune/Moon dominant/ruled. You could have a Neptune/Moon aspect. This could also apply to the person you need advice on if that is the case.
"This is a time of great psychic sensitivity for you. Trust your intuition and follow its guidance." You should try to differentiate emotions from intuition, I know it's hard, but they are different things, and it's very important to tell them apart! Your dreams may hold messages, try having a dream journal and interpreting them if you don't do that already.
What you need advice on:
IX of Wands (reversed) and V of Swords (reversed)
As you can see ALL of the tarot cards I've received in this reading are reversed, implying inner conflicts that require inner change/work. You might've said/done smth you now regret, and you hate yourself for it, you may also be incredibly paranoid that others will find out. You want the paranoia to end. You want to make amends, to reconciliate/atone, but are unsure on whether you should do it. Perhaps you don't feel emotionally prepared to reopen that wound.
Advice:
V. The Hierophant (reversed) and VII of Wands (reversed)
What I noticed here is that The Hierophant mirrors The Devil, not as perfectly as The Lovers, but it is incredibly similar. Once again that energy of opposition, contradiction, and confusion appears, "the wolf in sheep's clothing". For some, my fixation on this phrase could be a warning. For others an invitation to look in the mirror... Try looking at the situation from the other person's point of view! I'm not saying you are a "wolf in sheep's clothing", but that might be how you're being perceived. You are exhausted, remorse is eating up all of your energy. The Hierophant is saying that you should stay true to your personal beliefs, so if you believe apologizing is necessary to move on, do it!
This could be unrelated and for a specific person, but don't be afraid of challenging the status quo! If it hurts none, do as you will, embody your true self! I just want to remind you that going against your loved one's idea of "normalcy" is not hurting them, it's loving yourself. But remember that you also don't owe anyone a "coming out", you are valid whether or not you tell people! Do whatever your heart tells you and please be safe!
!!! : Of course, this doesn't count if what's challenging the status quo doesn't respect others' identity/ sexuality/ ethnicity/ religion/ etc. If challenging the status quo comes from a place of hate please block me. Nobody is using this reading as a sign to do some fucked up shit.
3. Beech and 2. Aspen and Lily
When I saw Beech I immediately thought "talk to someone, or you could spiral." Beech talks about self-acceptance and self-compassion. You must first accept yourself as you are, an imperfect human being, like all humans, before starting to work on embodying your highest self. Stay open-minded! Aspen, on the other hand, invites you to connect with others, not only for advice or consoling but for quality time! I have a feeling that you have very high morals, but having them isn't enough, you must act accordingly!
Thank you for reading! Love you all.♡
You can buy me a coffee if you feel called to do so! This is never necessary, but always appreciated! ♡

PREQUEL ARC: PART 3 - THE BOUNTY
A/N: Part 3 of Stitches has arrived! This chapter was difficult to write, I'll be honest. And I'd really appreciate any feedback if it doesn't read as well as the first two chapters or doesn't make sense or is boring etc. etc.
This is the penultimate prologue chapter, with the story very much shifting to surround the dynamic and growth of the readers relationship with Din so if you can hold out for me just a bit longer, I promise, I'll make it worth the wait. You know what I'm talking about friends.
Pairing: Din Djarin/Fem!Reader
Word Count: 7k
Rating: 18+ (NO Minors)
Warnings: None
Summary: You encounter Mando suffering one misfortune after another.
AO3 | Stitches Masterlist | Main Masterlist
9 ABY, on the Hydian Way.
Din prided himself on the strength of his principles. An unwavering certainty in everything he did that gave him a modicum of peace as he wandered throughout the galaxy amidst wars, rebellions and the chaos that ensued in their aftermath.
He was certain when he took the Creed, when he sacrificed a future for himself in service of the covert; something he had never regretted to this day. He had never regretted any bounty taken; unmoved by pleas, promises or threats. Neither tears nor anger could sway his resolve.
Truly, he could count on one hand the things he regretted in life; the job on Alzoc III, challenging a fully grown Mandalorian to a fight while still a hot blooded, angry teenager, and not trying to pull his parents into the bunker where they had hidden him from Separatist droids as Aq Vertina was invaded.
In his line of work, there was seldom room for self-doubt. Inner conflict led to hesitation, which could be a death sentence for a bounty hunter.
And yet, as he came out of hyperspace, that unfamiliar gnawing presence in the pit of his stomach began to rear its’ head again. The job he had accepted was… dubious, to say the least.
Din snorted in self-deprecation; most of his jobs were dubious in nature.
What brought on this unnatural doubt, however, was that this was a job for Imperial remnants. Din wasn’t a fool; he knew half the jobs he had taken in the past could have been traced to the Imps if he cared enough to look, but taking a job from them personally… well, he didn’t know how to feel about that just yet.
He pondered the feeling in his stomach again and frowned. Was it doubt… or instinct? Instinct was his most trusted companion as he travelled through space alone. A tickle at the back of his neck, a wary step forward, even a flash of electricity down his spine; those were only some of the ways that instinct spoke to him. And he always listened.
An uncomfortable feeling in his stomach though? Never that.
If it was instinct, then he was going against his very nature in ignoring it. If it was doubt, based on some misguided sense of morality in dealing with the empire… that he could deal with. He could smother doubt with control and consistency; going through the motions of a job brought security and familiarity. Sooner or later, that doubt would make way for a stoic acceptance, a state that had gotten Din through some of his roughest years.
His eyes were drawn to his shoulder, where the glint of newly crafted beskar shone in the gentle lights of the cockpit.
A down-payment…
“Makers Helmet…” he groaned, running a gloved thumb and forefinger across his tired eyes to pinch the bridge of his nose, feeling a headache coming on as the pressure at the back of his skull increased due to the loop his thoughts were going in.
A job was a job. He circled back to his original thought that had led him to accept the clients offer. A job with a bounty greater than anything he could have ever hoped to receive in his lifetime, let alone in one go. It was mere sentimentality and conscience getting in the way of good business. That beskar could not only provide him with armor to reaffirm his loyalty to the covert, but assistance and support to the foundlings and those who raised them.
His resolved steeled. He had never regretted putting the covert before himself, and he wasn’t about to start now.
Turning his attention back to the navicomputer, he scanned the co-ordinates that his most recent lead had pointed to. He had hunted the trail of his latest bounty to the general direction of a vast area of space that straddled the outer reaches of the Outer Rim and halted as it reached Wild Space. There was nothing to stop the bounty from being in those unexplored parts of the galaxy, and if the tracking beacon led him that far, he would have to be ready. With no spaceport on any of the planets he had seen dotting the area on the navicomputer, he thought it wise to refuel and gather provisions should he be there for any prolonged period.
As he lazily assessed which planet to land on, his eyes were drawn to a familiar name. A memory brushed against his thoughts. Not necessarily a pleasant one, but not entirely unpleasant either. For the sake of fairness, Din scanned the planets surrounding the one he pondered; some were equally as well equipped for his needs but the majority he had not been on in years if ever. Somewhere he knew, even briefly, gave him more comfort than the unknown.
At least, that was what Din told himself as he punched in the co-ordinates of Dandoran, the flicker of warmth the memory brought him was something equally as unnatural as the doubt coiled in his stomach.
Bantha balls, maybe he had been poisoned again...
Din tossed a few credits to the human female who received the Razor Crest into the hanger she was managing.
“She needs to be refueled.” Was all he said as he made his way out of the hanger and into the not unfamiliar streets of Mynock. It didn’t look like much had changed in the several months since he was here last; the place was still crawling with a mixture of criminals, bounty hunters and people who just didn’t want to be found. All in all, a good example of most Outer Rim cities.
Mynock had two main pedestrian streets that ran for over two klicks and intersected at the middle. From what he could tell, all legitimate business ran from those two streets, the further into the alleyways and twisted lanes that branched off those two streets one ventured, the seedier the business.
From what he knew, the practice you worked at was on one of these main streets. He paused, causing a few disgruntled pedestrians to have to jerk to a halt and make their way around his imposing frame. He was not here socially. He was never anywhere socially. He shook his head; between self-doubt and sentimentality, the tight leash he usually kept himself on was looser than he remembered and he had no idea just when it had started to slack.
That could not continue. But being aware of a problem allowed him to deal with it. So, with a greater sense of fortitude, he mentally choked any distracting feelings beyond the determination to collect this bounty. That included the somewhat interesting possibility of seeing you again.
Thankfully, Din only needed to stick to the main streets. The road was flanked by stall upon stall of foodstuffs, clothing, trinkets, ammunition and what looked to be a husbandry of Massiff dogs. The large, reflective eyes turned to the Mandalorian; all bared fangs and hostile snarls. An understandable response by most non-sentients when a Mandalorian had no real physical cues they could read, being as covered as they were. Until he lifted his hand for the one closest to sniff, they could only assume he was a threat.
A sniff was usually all it took however, before the snarling stopped. Din brushed a hand over the scaly head as he continued on his way to collect what he came here for.
An hour later, and Din was feeling much more at ease as he picked up the last of the supplies he thought he may need; ration packs, bactapads, generic ammunition that he liked to keep well stocked on the ship and so on. He was once more mentally compiling the information he had gathered on the location of the bounty, running through various routes in his mind that would cover the most planets in the parsec in the shortest amount of time.
He nodded his thanks at the change the Rhodian merchant returned to him and began to make his way back to the Razor Crest. If it hadn’t been for the long flick of your hair in the tie you kept it up in when you turned your head to look at someone at a stall across the central walkway of the street, Din was certain he’d have walked on none the wiser. But alas, that same higher power that had gifted him with a keep perception of his surroundings cursed him in the same fell swoop as the movement attracted his attention.
He came up short, running a mental check on himself immediately. No, no injuries. His shoulder still ached on occasion from being dislocated six months earlier, but it was a phantom pain at most these days. He was fit as a mythosaur and he wasn’t about to have that good streak ruined by getting injured in your presence… again.
Din wondered if he could escape to his ship without you noticing; he didn’t want to tempt fate anymore than he already had. Plus, awkward interactions that left him feeling frustrated both mentally and physically were not high on the list of things he enjoyed, thank you very much.
As a Mandalorian, Din expected attention wherever he went. It was just something he chalked down to being a necessary evil to live by his Creed but he had never wanted to be more invisible than he did in that moment, thinking that at any moment he would be trip into a sarlacc pit or something equally unpleasant.
But you hadn’t seen him, thankfully; much more invested in the choices at the fishmonger’s stall.
Despite his better judgement however, he paused from slipping back to his ship silently.
He was taken by the slight pink flush that rose to your cheeks at something the woman behind the stall said, intrigued by the color and what caused it. Din tilted his head slightly. He had noticed you getting flushed in frustration or annoyance both times you had treated him. It was fascinating to see your cheeks flush for a reason other than irritation and anger.
That particular thought touched a dangerous part of Din’s mind, a part that made him wander into the realm of curiosity to ponder what else might make you blush like that.
Oh, but it was a delightful color on you, and he watched longer than he ought to, a small quirk lifting the corner of his lips. The image of domesticity as you adjusted the parcels of food already in your arms to accept the fish was so foreign to his eyes and certainly not one he ever associated with you until now. It spoke to a part of him that still slumbered but began to fidget in its sleep, on the verge of consciousness.
That tentative smile that he had unwittingly been giving into as he indulged his senses by watching you, dropped the moment three males approached you. The Twi’lek was standing too close for you to be comfortable and by the rigidity of your spine, he knew you were not.
You had taken a step away from the men easily, your body language read cautious but not fearful and he knew better than to underestimate your abilities to wrangle men into whatever position you wanted them in. He had first-hand experience in that department and honestly, it wasn’t nearly as fun as it sounded in his head.
Din relaxed the grip he had unknowingly tightened on the blaster at his hip when you made to leave the stall, away from the three. He shook his head at himself; you had lived here for years. You knew how to handle yourself perfectly fine.
Letting out a breath, he was about to continue back to the ship when that same cursed perception caught the Twi’leks arm shoot out to grip your upper arm tightly, preventing your exit.
Din was behind you before he even realized he had moved.
You examined the range of fish on offer, eyes skeptically crossing off anything that looked like it had been sitting out too long or anything with more than four eyes. You weren’t squeamish by nature, but the fewer dead eyes that were staring at you while you prepared dinner, the better.
One of the few perks of Mynock, was its proximity to the Great Basin of Dandoran that opened out to one of the many oceans to cover the planet. Fresh seafood was a staple in the city and after years of ration packs between the Rebellion and Klatooine, eating fresh was a luxury you would never take for granted again. Your own home planet was mostly covered in water too; the greater population spread over countless clusters of islands where seafood was also the meal of choice for most. It was a tenuous connection but being able to cook dishes somewhat like the ones your mother made when you and your brothers were younger made it feel like you weren’t so far away.
You smiled to yourself at the thought as you pointed to the light blue colored Berbersian crabs, knowing the trawlers had come in only this morning that carried them. The claws were meaty with the slightest sweetness to their flavor that complimented most dishes. Not to mention that when cooked, they turned the most vibrant blue that their shells alone could be used for decoration and craft.
You chatted aimlessly with the fishmonger as she cleaned and prepared the translucent peachy pink fish you had also chosen for good measure.
“Busy at Biran’s?”
“When are we not busy?”
“It’s all them fights between the gangs. Folk say since the Hutts were chased out that things are better but it’s even more dangerous with the others tryin’ to take their place.”
You only gave a non-committal hum to that; you didn’t get involved in politics of any kind. Gang or otherwise.
The mindless chatter continued on nonetheless to more safe topics.
“Did I tell ye, Drea had her baby not three days ago. Another girl.”
“Poor Nej will have his hands full when they all get older.”
“I’m sure they’re dying for a boy at this point. Great excuse to keep sowin’ the crops though, ain’t it?”
“I’m sure they don’t need any excu—”
“Ever think of havin’ any of yer own? Yer well into that time of yer life, I’d say no?”
You blinked, nearly missing the bag of produce as she handed it across the stall to you. You could feel your face heat up at the direction this conversation had turned, and you definitely never thought you would be discussing your biological clock with a fishmonger over Berbersian crab.
“Well I---”
Movement from the corner of your eye stole your attention from that progressively awkward conversation and the no doubt insufficient answer you would have given as three males came to stand at the same stall, facing you. Your eyes scanned the trio sideways, not prepared to give them your attention unless it became unavoidable. There were two humans and a Twi’lek and given the way the humans flanked the large blue male; you had a fair idea about who was in charge as he sneered at you in what you assumed was meant to be a disarming smile.
The blasters at each of their hips and the emerald green coloring on the right sleeve of their jackets told you they belonged to one of the gangs the fishmonger had been complaining about not a few minutes earlier. This gang in particular, the Quai-Kisu or Emerald Dagger in Basic, were a faction that splintered off from the main Hutt crime syndicate once their influence in Dandoran lessened. Their trademark was spice smuggling but anyone with two braincells knew that they accepted the lesser charge to hide the true wealth of their criminal activity, flesh trafficking.
Suffice to say, you didn’t want anything to do with them and you most certainly didn’t want them to want anything to do with you.
“Can I help you?” You kept your eyes on them as you handed the fishmonger what you owed her when it was clear they weren’t going to leave; the woman wisely remaining quiet as she accepted the credits.
None of them responded immediately, and you wondered if this was a new scare tactic they were employing to make people anxious. The crimson hue of the Twi’leks eyes glinted as he contemplated you, running down your figure lazily before meeting your eyes again when you frowned,
“Ol’ man Biran available for a house call?” He rumbled, the sun catching the points of the filed canines as he spoke.
“I’m afraid Biran doesn’t make house calls anymore. Besides, he’s been under the weather for the last few days unfortunately.”
You reeled the lie off effortlessly, having learned over the years who Biran would tend to and who he would rather see succumb to whatever ailed them. It was a steep and difficult learning curve for you, your initial training taught you that you must do your utmost to save every life. Biran had laughed in derision, saying that that mindset wouldn’t serve you well out here. These were gangs, not the flyboys of Corellia. Saving one of their lives might condemn countless others. So while you struggled, you accepted that it was his practice and he made the rules and after over two years on Dandoran, you had seen enough victims of the gang warfare to not feel any pity when one of them suffered an injury.
“C’mon beautiful. One of our pals was injured in a… terrible, terrible accident.” The taller of the two human males, a lanky man with a neck that looked much too long and eyes that took way too much liberty in running over your body.
“There are other doctors in Mynock.” You replied steadily, “I’m sure one of them can help.”
To humor them any longer would be to encourage trouble, so you cut the conversation short and turned quite deliberately to make the point that the conversation was over, flashing the fishmonger a wan smile before turning back the way you came.
“We weren’t done talkin’ to you.”
Your eyes widened marginally when an iron grip closed around your upper arm, your free hand dropping the items in your arm immediately to click the safety off your blaster and lift it in the time it took for the Twi’lek to yank you into facing him again.
“Did I say you could lay a hand on me?” You hissed, the blaster pointing upward from where you held it close to your body towards the underside of the Twi’lek’s chin.
“Quite the little spitfire, ain’t she lads?” He crowed, amused by your action. His laughter was like shattered glass on your ears, making you want to wince, but you kept your hand steady even as your heart pounded. You received as much training as anyone when they joined the Rebellion, but your experience in actual combat beyond treating people on the front line was limited. You knew your own limitations, and that there was no way you would be able to take on all three of them.
The hand around your arm squeezed painfully and you clocked the blaster, lifting it closer to sit under the Twi’lek’s chin, “Release me. Now.”
And like most men of his ilk, he ignored you in favor of his own voice,
“From what we’ve seen, you work with the good doctor. Shouldn’t be a bother for you to fix him up. Nicer to look at too, eh fellas?” He tossed over his shoulder to the snickers of his lackeys.
“Then you can go back to target practice with your toy gun.” He chuckled darkly, leaning in where the pungent smell of his breath made you turn your head away in distaste, “That is, if we let you go at all.”
You swallowed thickly at the threat, eyebrows furrowed in concentration as your mind scrambled to come up with a solution, a way out, something. You felt the familiar sting of tears at the back of your eyes when each avenue came up blank. You couldn’t think of anything and suddenly, you felt so terribly alone in this shithole of a town on a faraway planet far from anyone who gave a bantha crap who would actually be able to help you.
Their laughter only grated on your already frayed nerves and pissed you off even more. You had fought too hard and suffered too much to let these assholes take the one thing you owned, your freedom. Your eyes flashed with anger and snapped back to the Twi’lek, ready to pull the trigger because if you were going out, it would be on your terms.
Their laughter suddenly ceased then, and you blinked. Had they copped that you planned to take at least one, maybe two of them out with you? Before you could figure it out, your arm was shoved away. You raised your now free hand to steady the blaster as you aimed it at them, but they were backing away, eyes averted.
“Yeah, that’s what I thought.” You growled, hiding the waver in your voice.
They said nothing in reply as the Twi’lek bared his teeth and made towards you again. One of the humans grabbed his arm and hissed something to him. You couldn’t make it all out, but you swore you heard a name you never thought you’d hear again.
Teff.
With one last growl and glare, the Twi’lek conceded to the advice of the humans and all three of them melted back into the crowds of Mynock leaving you to release a heavy breath as you lowered your weapon, replacing the safety with ease as your eyes continued to scan the street. You wanted to be certain they had really left.
“Huh, maybe they were smart after all.” You muttered to yourself, proud that you had dealt with the situation somewhat and holstered your blaster against your hip again, “Still got it girl.” You commended yourself as you stooped to pick up your dropped groceries.
A snorted, “I beg to differ” had you blinking up over your shoulder at the familiar, cocksure figure of the Mandalorian; a hand only grazing the blaster at his hip as he stood casually behind you, his head tilted down to look at you and a resounding sigh leaving his helmet when you smiled.
“Mando?”
An incline of his head was the only greeting you received before he crossed his arms across the wise expanse of his armored chest.
“One sec.”
You got back to your feet and, as if by instinct, ran your eyes over his body, “You didn’t poison yourself again, did you?” You teased lightly, realizing that you were seeing him uninjured for the first time. Well, the second time. But walking into a cantina to do battle with a Houk didn’t could in your estimation.
It gave you pause to notice things about him that you didn’t usually; the way he stood, leaning his weight back on his left foot that gave him an air of lazy arrogance that wouldn’t be misplaced in a loth-wolf relaxing in the winter sun. The strength of his thighs seems to be accentuated by the posture; one hand placed securely at his blaster. If you didn’t know any better, his stance was like an open challenge to every male around him; submit or suffer. But you did know him somewhat, and you knew that he didn’t need to lay down any challenge. He had already won the second he stepped off his ship. The wide breadth of space given to him by passers-by only highlighted that fact.
Even with every patch of skin covered, you could feel the raw power rolling off of him, or was it testosterone? Whatever it was, it tugged at a more primal instinct and ignited a slow, steady heat inside of you that made you both embarrassed and intrigued.
Okay, so you were attracted to the way the man stood. That was fine, that was acceptable. You were a warm-blooded woman in her prime who knew her desires and embraced them. Finding how a Mandalorian… stood, was just another interesting thing to add to your list of things you found attractive.
Along with a raspy baritone and penchant for trouble…
You know what, it was probably just a fantastic indication that you hadn’t been laid in a while, so you made a mental note to deal with that particular issue later.
“I never poisoned myself.” That same low, gruff voice rose to your bait so easily and you had to bite your lip not to laugh, his hand fisting at his side before he unclenched it. Probably thinking about strangling you, honestly. Now there was a thought, for later. Nope, it was definitely the recent dry spell that had you like this. And the sun. The sun always had a part to play in these delusions.
Mando seemed to figure out your game of teasing him however, when you couldn’t fully mask your smile and responded in kind,
“You’re welcome, by the way.” His voice rumbled and you were certain that if you were only a few inches closer, you would be able to feel the vibrations brush against you.
“For what?” You laughed in disbelief, “I had everything under control before you decided to strut into the fray.”
You tried to prevent the frown from creasing between your brows when you thought a little more on the situation. You had a blaster literally pointed to the neck of one of those thugs and they didn’t care. It didn’t even seem like Mando had drawn his weapon and all three had scarpered? Was there any fairness in the galaxy? Obviously not.
The unpainted helmet tilted, the impassive T-visor giving away nothing of its wearers feelings beyond the sigh that left him, “What did you plan to do? Shoot the son of a mudscuffer and have an entire gang out for blood in less than an hour? Yeah, that’s smart.” He snorted.
Your mouth fell open in incredulity, “Talk about the Jawa calling the Ewok short, you’d have done the exact same thing!” You cursed your short temper, especially when it came to the stubborn mule of a man in front of you. The fact that his voice never once rose frustrated you. It remained gravelly but soft, like the sound of pebbles and stones being pushed and pulled by the ocean you could hear from your bedroom as a child.
You were a mature person; you were proud of how you dealt with most things. But in this instance, you allowed your immature side to rear her head momentarily as you began to stalk back to the practice. A piss poor option since the Mandalorian scoffed and kept up with you easily, obviously not content with you having the last word.
“But I wouldn’t be so reckless to not think it through before shooting them.” He tipped his helmet back a little, as if he dared to look down his nose at you. Frustration simmered in your blood as your eyes narrowed at him sideways.
“I was wrong, you obviously are injured. A blow to the head this time was it, Mando? Must be hidden under that kettle you call a helmet” You let out an exasperated breath, shaking your head, “I’ve no cure for that unfortunately.”
You could have sworn you heard a soft noise that sounded remarkably like a chuckle, but it was so quiet and the streets so noisy that you were certain you were wrong.
When the door to the practice-come-living quarters for yourself and Biran came into view, you stopped short. How did you get back here so quickly? Looking over your shoulder, you realized you had led the Mandalorian on a merry chase to nowhere he needed to be. He didn’t look particularly fazed, but the small voice of guilt that sounded an awful lot like your mother had you opening your mouth before you could think twice,
“Do you want to come in?”
What possessed you to invite him in?
It was obvious from both the stilted way you asked and the drawn out, deeply awkward silence that followed. You were about to tuck tail and run inside, slam the door, and pretend you weren’t as mortified as you knew you were when he cocked his head. The movement made you pause in your escape, opening your mouth to tell him to forget about it before the words got lodged in your throat.
“Sure.” Was all he said, and that was how you found yourself staring at a fully armed Mandalorian taking up two thirds of the small settee in the living room to the back of the practice, his hands placed on each thigh as they spread a bit when he sat.
Biran, bless him, took up the last third of the same settee, unfazed by the type of man in his living room and chatting merrily about the last Mandalorian he had met over fifteen years ago.
“And that wasn’t you?”
“No.”
“Ah maybe someone you know then!”
“Maybe.”
Mando’s conversation skills were abysmal.
You didn’t have very high expectations in the first place, but watching it without being a participant, was downright comical. You hid your smile behind the glass of water you had fetched for yourself but the slight tilt of his helmet in your direction told you he had caught your amusement. For someone whose face you couldn’t see, you could practically feel his eyes narrow at you. It made the giddiness from being equal parts anxious and entertained from watching Mando try make nice with the elderly Mirialan rise again and you had to physically bite your lip to stop.
Mando wasn’t listening to Biran anymore, that much was obvious. He wasn’t even looking in his direction, more comfortable blatantly glaring at you instead. Biran was unfazed. Truly, the Mirialan didn’t need a response to have a conversation. A listening ear was sometimes all he wanted. It was a characteristic that endeared you to the him in the first place. The elderly were so often overlooked and written off, but when one only cared enough to listen, they would find themselves enriched with experiences no history book could ever compete with.
“…So how do you two know each other?”
Your attention was dragged back into the conversation so fast you might have given yourself whiplash. You blinked a few times as the Mirialan watched Mando with a clueless smile on his face, completely ignorant to the stiff body beside him.
“Coercive medical attention.” You choked a bit on the sip of water you had taken to buy yourself some time to think; coercive? That rotten---
“Ah, you were a difficult patient, were you?” Biran chuckled, knowing your methods well, “Sweet as pie if you do as your told, but the minute you resist she’ll go for you like a sand panther. I can’t imagine there was much room for bedside manners in the Rebellion, but thankfully that attitude works well in cities like Mynock.” You spluttered again, putting the glass down since it was out to get you too apparently.
Of all the treacherous--, why were you so nice to this old sod again? You would show him a sand panther when you ‘forget’ to buy his favorite tea next time you went shopping.
You seethed to yourself, leaning back in the armchair you had perched yourself on earlier, flyaway hairs from the breeze outside falling into your face which you blew away with a frustrated breath.
“Hm, a panther?” Your eyes rose as the low baritone filled the air after Biran had finished having his laugh at your expense. Mando cocked his head pensively to the side as he looked at you briefly, “More like a kitten, I’d say.” And with that, he looked away.
He didn’t bother saying anything else after that, content with letting Biran’s laughter fill the room and smother the tense silence the two of you were sitting in.
You could feel your cheeks heating up once more as you glared daggers at the tin can in front of you. Why did it feel like you were being simultaneously insulted and flirted with? You couldn’t make the distinction, so you didn’t know how to respond.
Instead, you decided to poke at a different part of the conversation.
“For someone who was coerced, you sure do find yourself on my table quick enough when you need treatment.” Your eyes ran up and down the length of his body candidly when he looked back at you, “and when you don’t need treatment, evidently.”
You smirked when the Mandalorian clenched a fist on his thigh, the third occupant in the room seemingly forgotten as Mando hissed,
“I never asked for your help.”
You scoffed and decided not to deign that with a response.
“Besides, I only stopped over for supplies and fuel.” He admitted and a treacherous part of you sunk a bit at the honesty in his voice. Seeing you was just a coincidence, like always. The unspoken words hung heavy in the air and you fought the twinge of sadness that chased you because of them.
Biran looked between the two of you before standing shakily and patting the Mandalorian on the shoulder with no hesitation, “Allow us to provide you with something extra for your travels then.” He turned his wrinkled face towards you with a smile, the deep groves of his crow’s feet increasing as he nodded to the bags of forgotten groceries, “I think our guest should try the crab. Knowing you, you bought too much as usual.”
You flushed at being caught out, were you really that predicable?
“There’s no need. I got what I came for so, I’ll be going now.” Mando stood fluidly despite his armor, and you were once again struck with how different it was seeing him injured as opposed to healthy. You felt you needed to get used to his presence all over again, with how much it filled the room.
“Thank you, for your hospitality.” He tipped his helmet towards Biran, his voice still rather gruff but laced with a polite softness uncharacteristic to him. Biran waved him off and started making his way back out to the practice when he heard the binary from his medi-droid welcoming a new patient.
That left the two of you standing in a room that suddenly felt much too small for the tension that hung around you both like a blanket. You moved into the kitchen to separate the food you would keep and the food you would give to Mando on one of the countertops, tying the bag tightly by the straps so that it stayed clean and fresh when you were done. You couldn’t hear him move, but you could feel the slight disturbance of the air when he leaned his shoulder casually against the doorframe, arms crossed enticingly once more as he watched you.
“So… what did he call you again? A sand… kitten, was it?”
“Oh, shut up.” You growled over your shoulder at him before turning and shoving the bag with two of the Berbersian crabs and some herbs you knew went well with them, into his hands.
“I don’t need these.” He held the bag out, straightening his stance as he pushed himself from the doorframe. You wisely ignored him.
“All you need is a pan. And water. And heat. Boil them and actually give your body some proper nutrients, would you?”
You explained as you began leading him out towards the private entrance of the residence, through the small kitchen and out into an alleyway that gave you an immediate sense of déjà vu the moment Mando stepped outside. The sun was still beating down and it glinted across the helmet that was becoming as recognizable as a face to you.
“In case you didn’t realize, I’m perfectly healthy.” He replied smoothly, getting his bearings as he examined the alleyway and noted the sounds from the nearby street as the direction he needed to go.
“That’d be a first.” You griped at him, but there was no venom in your words, and he knew it.
You knew he was about to leave, and the suddenness of his departure was as jarring as his arrival. You didn’t know why you felt the need to stall, and you pushed that urge down rapidly in the face of the warrior when he looked back at you from assessing the street not a few feet away.
You sighed and let out a chuckle, wondering again how this man constantly came barreling into your life, disrupting the precarious peace you had brokered while here. You might have said it was a nuisance, but deep down, you knew that he brought a breath of life back into yours every time he crossed your path, reinvigorated the aimless routine you found yourself in. It was unsettling, the way this man had wormed his way into being such a… significant presence in your life. Even after only meeting him three times and always under less than pleasant circumstances.
Part of you wanted to tell him he could stay longer if he wanted; but you knew he would refuse.
Part of you wanted to tell him to be safe; but you knew he wouldn’t be.
Part of you wanted to tell him that you would see him around; but you knew that you probably wouldn’t.
So you settled on a lackluster, “good luck on your hunt” with a small smile as a peace offering for the fraught bickering you always seemed to fall into with him. A peace offering, he seemed to accept as he lifted the bag silently and looked inside,
“Pan. Water. Heat. Right?” His own attempt made your smile grow as you chuckled and nodded,
“You got it, sunshine.”
He nodded once in affirmation while you moved around him back towards the door of the practice. For some reason, you didn’t want to watch him walk away this time. It was easier for you to leave instead. A rumble of your name from the Mandalorian had you looking over your shoulder at him questioningly, the blush that had risen to your cheeks at the sound of your name on his lips not lost on Mando. He had turned back towards you when you moved and after a beat, spoke again.
“See you next time.”
And just like that, your chest hollowed, and a warmth filled you. The weight of his words were like an embrace, a reassurance you didn’t know you needed. Had needed, for longer than you probably knew. It was something secure and encouraging in these times of change and uncertainty, and you felt yourself cling to those words like a lifeline.
The placid nod you offered him with a gentle smile was all he stuck around for. Spinning on his heels, he took off towards the streets of Mynock once more, disappearing in a flash of beskar and steel and for once, you didn’t ponder about possibly seeing him again. You knew you would.
Din settled back into the pilots’ chair of the Razor Crest twenty minutes later, running through the familiar process of flying the ship out of the atmosphere and into the comfort of space, eager to escape into hyperdrive as soon as he was clear enough from Dandoran.
See you next time?
He groaned leaned his head back against the chair, staring up at the ceiling of the cockpit, his brows drawn low over his eyes as he frowned. What possessed him to offer that promise, he didn’t know. Maybe it was the way your eyes had dimmed slightly when he was about to leave, or when you had wished him luck on a job he was still so uncertain about. Maybe it was the way you blushed when he said your name.
Or maybe it was just because he wanted to see you again too.
And that was the most troubling reason of all.
Din didn’t do friends, he had acquaintances and colleagues even if the term was tenuous. He had the covert and the foundlings, but he didn’t have people he actually wished to see. Never trusted anyone beyond what they could each offer one another. You hadn’t looked for anything from him, and it was unsettling. He didn’t know if he could trust you, years of training and experience told him otherwise. But from the old memories of you pressing Raquor’daan poison from his wound to the teasing friendship you displayed with the old Mirialan, his resolve softened a little.
His eyes flicked to the rapidly shrinking planet he was leaving.
Trust was too strong a word right now, but respect… he could admit that he respected you. And that alone put you on a very short list of people, one he was sure you would never truly understand the importance of.
And he was right.
You would never know the significance of being on that very short list of people, but in that moment, Din’s grudging respect for you set both of your lives on a very different course than either of you ever anticipated; one that revolved around a very special, very small, green child.
Once Dandoran had faded sufficiently behind the Razor Crest, he keyed in the co-ordinates to the far reaches of the Outer Rim and entered hyperspace and after several days of travel, he finally struck beskar when the tracking fob starting beeping as he coasted through space. He smirked behind his helmet as he changed direction and noted the closest planet on his navicomputer where his bounty was hidden.
Arvala-7.
Gotcha.

The Unwritten Part of Clinical Psych Training
Almost over two months ago, I went out spontaneously with my two good friends in MA - Mikka (she/her) and Magsi (he/him). We drove up to Antipolo one night and ate dinner with booze at Padi's Point while enjoying the lovely view overlooking Metro Manila under a clear night sky. It was spectacular! The last time we all got together in-person was before the pandemic. Since then, we just had online Zoom calls and our Telegram group chat. But, there we were in the flesh, happy to be in each other's company once again.
A significant part of one of our conversations was -- of course -- how we were all doing in our master's journey. Magsi, since the pandemic, had finally switched full-time in studying, whereas Mikka and I still had to work for a living. But all the same, we all felt like we were in the climax of our clinical training: Learning several tough pills to swallow.
The biggest 'pill' we talked about was about us. Part of the journey to become a psychologist is to do a lot of introspection and deep diving to get to know who you are as a person, before anything else. We have to know our strengths and weaknesses, and how we can improve ourselves in managing them. Paraphrasing Lori Gottlieb (a US-based psychotherapist and author), the essence of being a therapist is to lead clients in embracing vulnerability and accountability. And the amazing and scary part here is that there is no class for that -- at least, not in technicality. In fact, all classes integrate some form of reflective practice that makes us ask the difficult questions about ourselves. One of mine thus far, for example, was a question of my worth and intellect. While I did pride myself to be a nerd at best, I've had professors who taught me how to criticize that part of me and see when it serves its purpose and when it doesn't. I had many difficult conversations with myself, my loved ones, and even my professors about this. And ever since these discussions, I've noticed changes in the way I think, speak, act, or even feel.
But it goes without saying: Scrutinizing yourself is very painful. Sometimes, it can be emotionally excruciating because, well... we are our own worst therapists. We could be so harsh on ourselves that we forget that the real challenge is to not to devalue our dignity but to understand it in a realistic point of view. It's like you're breaking yourself into a million pieces to find the gems and coals underneath only to put everything back together. The good, bad, or neutral pieces of ourselves are what makes us humans after all. And to tell you the truth, I sincerely think I have only scratched the surface a couple centimeters.
There is courage in knowing things that you realize you dislike about yourself. In the past months being a working student, while juggling many responsibilities in my personal life and relationships, I found that I had so many emotional dysregulation, a lot of anxiety, and a lot of perfectionism. It wasn't healthy, to say the least. The sad part about all this, for me, is that I haven't had the time to seek professional help or guidance to sort things out. While I do think I can still manage, it would've been ideal for me to resume (yes, I've had cycles already before) my therapy.
But that takes a lot of courage too. When you subject yourself to the vulnerability that one feels when one wishes to change, it can get very uncomfortable. I can't remember how many times I've shed tears in my therapy sessions since 2016. But what I've discovered in those heartfelt moments is that I was opportunities for emotional growth and understanding. I can't really say I've perfectly mastered such a "skill", but I think I'm getting there albeit slowly.
When we hashed out these points, Magsi, Mikka, and I had this very satisfied look on our faces -- maybe because of the booze. It wasn't until Mikka's remark that everything sunk in. She said, "Ang hirap, ano? Nasa punto na tayo na tayo na yung nagbabago."
She was right. Kami na yung nagbabago.
But in our comforting smiles and sighs, we knew that we had our personal journeys at that point.
If there's any advice I could give to anyone out there -- regardless if you're in my field or not -- is that to embrace change and growth means to get uncomfortable. To transform is to bravely face the truth that you may leave behind some things that you found to be valuable to you, to discover what else must be carried in your personal journey towards growth. I know these sound so profound, but that's nonetheless true.
I think the magic about that conversation was that we were all sharing that sense of humanity. The three of us (and our friends and classmates) are figuring things out -- especially as "adults", whatever that means. The unspoken part about our road towards becoming clinical psychologists is that we are, after all, our first client. We are our first therapy. We are our first difficulty. But we can also be our first continuing success.
And I think that's something worth pushing forward for.
