Train Lie-in with Pride/Slicenrice Under Fire are replaced with Directator's All-Star Cast, Seal No Evil/The Price of Iron are replaced with A Real Charmer, The Realest Kappa/From the Future are replaced with Trying Tangle Tango, and The Bony General/Fleshy Souls General and Enma and the Serpent/The Old Fox Shrine don't have replacements, though many new requests were added to the post-game.

sorry if you've already been asked this but what did you think about eiji in iw? like idk i feel like they were trying to recreate a masato and ichi moment without actually having any of the elements that made their relationship narratively compelling.

as a whole, i thought eiji was at least a nice 'how he wished things couldve been' for ichi in regards to masato, but still being independent enough from the masato comparison to stand on his own as a character (or at least as an antagonist. his actions wasn't what was reminding me he was a masato parallel, but more so ichi's insistence he help him). i think thats why ichi and eiji's relationship don't have the same 'elements' that make their relationship interesting like masato and ichi's

Adam has a broken key (not a big deal, it's happened before 😅) but i found out there was a version of his model that had silver keys! i thought a fun way to customize him might be to swap out some of his keys with the silver ones but i'm still not sure, i'm trying to concept out where some fun places to put them would be, what do you guys think (current Adam on the left)

I always think about how nice and fun it would be to have friend who have the same interests and enjoy doing the same things as me.

but the reality is, most of the people I call friend or who try to be my friend have almost nothing in common with me. our interests are always different. we don't enjoy any of the same activities. there's never anything to talk about or do together. our vibes and energy dont match. our goals are different. it's a struggle to have a conversation beyond the dreaded small talk or figure out what to do if we hang out.

I usually try to befriend people based on a shared interest, usually being my special interest. usually that's the only thing we have in common, but it brings us together and we bond amazingly at first. once one or both of us lose interest in the thing, we slowly stop talking until we never speak again.

I never know how to talk to people I dont have anything in common with, especially if it's not the base of our friendship. I never learned how to do that. I often see allistics being friends when they don't seem to share interests of talk/hang out based on a shared interest and it confuses me. I don't understand how they do that. I wish I could. maybe it would be easier for people to not become bored of me or boring to me 😅

it still sounds nice to have friends that I have many things in common with, always have a thing to talk about and share with each other, and always have something to do together that we enjoy. how do you even find people like that 🥹

Somewhat Spoilers for Quantumania

Okay, I’ve been thinking about this a lot and I feel like yes the father-daughter relationship did make me cry but I would’ve cried harder if they kept the same actress from Endgame to play Cassie or if they made a couple tweaks.

I love Katheryn Newton, she’s a fantastic rising actress, but there wasn’t a relationship built between Scott and Cassie while she was Cassie. The emotional weight is relying on connecting Abby Ryder Fortson and Emma Fuhrmann as Cassie to Newton and I can’t make that connection. If they kept Fuhrmann on, at least we’d be able to make that visual connection, but I still don’t think it would’ve been enough.

If they at least fluffed up the beginning of the movie with father-daughter scenes in the montage where it shows Scott is making an effort with Cassie in the midst of his new found fame, it would’ve made the emotional stakes hit harder and better.

We know Scott would do anything for Cassie, so show that he’s already trying and succeeding on work life balance while Cassie hid working on the transmitter.

Or do the opposite.

Show that Cassie is completely withdrawn from him because he isn’t giving her any attention after being gone for five years. I think that’s what they were trying to do but they didn’t lean into it enough. Let it be a part of the montage and a normal occurrence of picking Cassie up from jail. Have her be angry with her dad for not being around and turning his back on the little guy cause he hasn’t been out to save the day lately. Not just a passive aggressive comment that she immediately bites back on.

I would just like to remind everyone that on this day, 128 years ago, Sarah Susan Philips Lovecraft gave birth to what would become one of the greatest pissboys in all of western literature. Not only would this child grow into a massive antisemite, racist, xenophobe and class elitist, but he would also manage to weasel his way into the english literary canon with an oeuvre of almost pure purple prose, peppered with aforementioned shitty opinions. This shitty son of Providence, Rhode Island would later be hailed for his innovative approach to horror by utilizing the fear of the unknown, something he had in heaps, and it really is a tragedy that, apart from ethnic and racial minorities, he was not more acquainted with the sensation of a fist in his face or a good kick in the knees. So this 20th of August, let us remember the start of a rightfully sad life of one of the scummiest pricks to ever hold a pen, and be thankful that literally everything he ever did was done better by someone else after him.
