This post is gonna be larger than my previous ones. Enjoy :)

As some of you may know, the Yo-kai Reuknight has a Z medal that shows up in the movie (and in a recap episode iirc). For some reason, there is no physical version of it despite how some other YKW1 Yo-kai like Venoct has one. I assume the reason is to explain how Nathaniel can summon him with the Model Zero Watch. This got me thinking: What if all the Yo-kai Nathaniel befriended had Z medals? Of course, Yo-kai who originate from the 2nd game already have Z/Classic medals, so I decided to make some Z medals for YKW1 Yo-kai who don't have them! I have made 5 of them so far.

Starting off weak: Chippa. I'll be honest, I forgot this Yo-kai even existed lol. I don't even remember exactly what he does. Sorry for anyone who likes this Yo-kai, I just personally like Lodo more because his evolution looks really sick.

Next we have Slitheref, a more memorable Yo-kai since he works with the Blasters. In the medal you can see him as a referee, which I personally think it fits him. Sorry for the somewhat lazy background, I tend to focus more on the characters themselves.

Now, most people probably don't care/remember, but Slitheref was one of the Yo-kai in the first game to have a "White" variant. For those who don't remember, White Yo-kai are monochrome variants of certain Yo-kai that follow McKraken. Aside from that, the only diference I remember them having is that you could not befriend them. I only made Slitheref monochrome because in a Yo-kai Watch Blasters mod called Blasters Plus Plus (which I highly recommend playing btw) these guys can be befriended and their medals also look like this.

Enough with Slitheref, next Yo-kai is Sushiyama. Apologies if he looks a bit weird, I'm not the best when it comes to perspective. Iirc his ability is to make people live like a stereotypical Japanese person, but I thought it'd be funny if I drew him using a computer because he became a weeb.

The 4th one (excluding White Slitheref) is Everfore. Don't have much to say about her, but I really like this medal. It is based off an image I found while searching for reference that's related to her origin. This is one of my favorite medals, only second to:

Singcada! I do in a way wish that the Yo-kai Nathaniel befriended was Cadable, since he's Cadin's evolution, but I really like how this medal turned out and I would most likely have made it very different. I drew him blowing a horn only because it looks cool since he most likely doesn't need it due to already being a cicada. Him having 4 arms also allowed me to be more creative, sadly his 4th arm isn't visible because of the wings. I didn't know what to put on the flag, so I simply just put the emblem of the Enma tribe.

Fact #84

While Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters is meant to be the definitive third version of Yo-kai Watch 2, it is actually missing content from the other versions, Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls, namely the version-exclusive requests, which all instead have their own counterparts in Psychic Specters.

Train Lie-in with Pride/Slicenrice Under Fire are replaced with Directator's All-Star Cast, Seal No Evil/The Price of Iron are replaced with A Real Charmer, The Realest Kappa/From the Future are replaced with Trying Tangle Tango, and The Bony General/Fleshy Souls General and Enma and the Serpent/The Old Fox Shrine don't have replacements, though many new requests were added to the post-game.

Man the post-game bosses of yo-kai watch 2 get hard, my adventure team at level 99 don't stand a chance against kabuking and kat kraydel, so ive had to exchange my sons for higher ranked ones that i'm not even sure if they are good that i need to grind up to level 99...

Alright people. Gather around. I have something I need to say.

Gather every single Yo-Kai Watch fan you know, and every YKW fan they know, and every YKW fan they know, and do whatever the hell we can to make sure Yo-Kai Watch is brought out of obscurity so hard it becomes stupidly popular enough for Nintendo to finally make localizations of Yo-Kai Watch 4 and any other Japanese exclusive media. We have waited through 7 whole years and 7 April fools tweets. We should not have to wait any longer.

Yo-kai Watch 2 tierlist: Electric Boogaloo

You know the drill, I have the drill. Let's begin with-

The favourites tier, the guys, gals and yo-pals I enjoy staring at the most.

Like last time I like these guys for some differing reasons.

I used Darknyan, Foiletta, Hig Gnomey, Mermaidyn, Tongus/Nurse Tongus and Smogling/Smogmella in my various PS playthroughs.

And then there are some I haven't used but liked because of the game like Buchinyan, Hovernyan, Don Chan, Harry Barry, Count Zapaway and the Nosirs.

And some I just like because they're cool, like Allnyta and Time Keeler.

And I can appreciate Unfairy because I read fanfiction about them once on AO3 and it was cool.

Here is the Great Tier. I haven't used most of them. So this is mainly because of design or seeing them in the game.

I think the villains of YKW2 were probably the best, even the wicked yo-kai! Which is why they're all in Great.

The little cute moment between Ray O' Light and Drizzelda during that annoying storm chapter was, well, cute.

I really liked the classic yo-kai and having to do those key quests. They actually have personalities which was cool, and they don't just appear once. Which I can appreciate.

The war chapter is by far my favourite chapter in 2, making me like Arachnus and Toadal Dude as well.

Use the hose.

And everyone else just looks cool.

Again, I like most of these guys because of their design or their part in the story.

The bosses in this tier were the ones I thought had cool concepts, I haven't fought Kabuking or Kat Kraydel, though. But the others I have and it was fun.

Looking back I would probably move Arachnia up to Great because of Hazy Lane, but at the time of making this, I didn't know you could get them there so... Yeah.

Everyone here is fine, not bad, just I don't have any memories with them. I haven't used most yo-kai here.

The meh tier, these yo-kai aren't bad but there are things that just make me dislike them a tiny bit.

Apelican haunts my dreams every night because I swear every time I got him, I probably have like 3 or 4 Apelican medals rotting in my medallium.

Eyeclone was an annoyance to defeat, tough, but not the fun tough. I had to fight all those yo-kai in the rain for hours the first time I played.

Gargaros also haunts my nightmares, but I did finally beat him in Yo-kai watch 3.

Okay, looking back I'd probably move Sproink to Neutral or Good but only because of the quest.

Swelton's design isn't my preference, honestly.

Teastroyer was like Eyeclone as in he took forever to beat in a very annoying way.

I don't actually remember why I put Tyrat in Meh, probably because I could never get him. Maybe I'd put him in neutral now, I don't know.

And finally, the yo-kai I didn't know existed until making this tier list.

Will I make a yo-kai watch 3 tierlist? Maybe. Depends on how liked this tierlist is.

Youkai Butler Whisper’s Theme ~Serious Edition~ (Yo-Kai Watch 2 [2014])

Such a Classical-sounding Violin at the center of this track! This one’s got a somber vibe because of the melody alone. Given the “spook” noises at the beginning, it seems to depict Whisper as a lone ghost who lacks a significant purpose. I liked the melody of Whisper's theme from the 1st game, but the overload of cartoony noises prevented me from enjoying it, so it’s great to see what I consider a glow-up for the sequel, even though this version still isn’t considered the “main” one in comparison to the earlier one that’s still used in Yo-Kai Watch 2 as well

why Nathaniel Adams/Keizou Amano is unintentionally good BPD representation

fuck you, he's BPD coded and I'm tired of pretending that he's not. (also I may have BPD as well so yeah)

also, pwBPD stands for people with Borderline Personality Disorder, and that's the phrase I'm gonna use for most of this

Impulsive actions

So basically, he trains himself to be just like Moximous, and I see a lot of impulsiveness in this. also he does this shit:

-Training nonstop

-stopping his plans for the first yo-kai watch

-breaking relationships

there's some other actions that I'm not bothered to remember, but these are the ones I remember vividly. in case you do not know, impulsivity is very common within pwBPD.

while things like consuming drugs and unsafe sexual intercourse arent included in the above list (i mean, ofc, this game is for kids and he's fucking 11), damaging positive relationships is part of this impulsiveness.

Unstable Relationships/Splitting

as said before, Nathaniel had seen breaking his positive relationships with others, notably with Hovernyan/Fuyunyan due to not being able to protect his weaker friend.

basically, Kin and Gin inspirited a couple of bullies that beat up his friend, causing his friend to lash out at him. and then he discovered moximous mask and broke his positive friendships to cope and also to try to be like that superhero.

also, he lashes out at Hovernyan for using the Wicked Stone to bring his grandson Nate into the past to help him, along with lashing out at his grandson. (he didn't know that nate was his grandson at the time but I don't care) and he also lashes out a lot later, such as their second meeting

these actions can be similar to splitting (a BPD-exclusive term in which pwBPD tend to characterize themselves, other people, and situations in black and white), and it may contribute to relationships not being stable. it is possible for splitting episodes to be triggered from minor events or inconveniences (as said about Hovernyan and Nate above)

Intense Emotions/Mood Swings

like I said before, Nathaniel starts off as being angry and irratable, as he lashes out at Nate for just being there. he can also go from calm to angry in just a second, which is something I noticed while watching let's plays of Yo-Kai Watch 2 instead of playing it myself.

One of the symptoms of BPD is that a person rapidly changes their emotions and even often.

he does not only have intense anger, but as well as intense sadness, fear, and obsession, and because of his stress and obsession, he feels more intensely than others do.

Perfectionism

you look at me in the eyes and tell me that Nathaniel isn't a perfectionist. you tell me without shitting yourself.

he feels himself to be bad on the inside, so he tries to prove himself to the world that he can become like the moximous hero Moximous Mask.

in many instances, pwBPD have this kind of perfectionist mindset.

Favorite Person

in the past, that one friend seemed to be Nathaniel's favorite person (or fp for short). and after the story of YKW2, it seems to be fuyunyan. as I said before, his friend lashed out at him for not protecting him, but that impacted him a lot since he broke his positive friendships after that, and declared to not have friends.

now you may be asking, "how would this tie to him having an fp?"

in some cases, pwBPD may have their fp abandon them, which causes them to spiral into nothing, which is much like what happened to Nathaniel.

and later on, Hovernyan becomes his new fp. and when Hovernyan gets hurt, well... let's just say that doesn't go well for him.

conclusion:

because of how his behavior connects to BPD symptoms listed above (there might be more that i might have missed), he is BPD coded, which is fucking hilarious because this is really good BPD representation even though I don't think that was Level-5's intention.

Fact #81

It interestingly seems that, in Yo-kai Watch 3, instead of removing locations from Yo-kai Watch 2 that were made inaccessible (said locations being mostly in the past, alongside the Infinite Inferno, the Hexpress, GeraGera Resort and its sub-locations, the Divine Paradise, and Mystery Way, among other locations), most of their maps were kept in the game data.

The Memory Store, the Deserted House variation when Teastroyer is fought, the Hexpress and Happy-Go-Lucky Express, and GeraGera Resort and its sub-locations are all completely accessible without issue, though no NPCs are present, and the rollercoaster and Pallysol platforms in GeraGera Land don't function.

The Infinite Tunnel is more interesting; in the game, it's used for a Gate of Whimsy room, but the version in the game files is very incomplete, with missing textures. The only objects visible are a power box and a door, and going far enough teleports you to the Other Side. Even odder, if you pause the game, the gray textures turn cyan.
