Monday 4th November
Early foggy walk this morning. It didn't even try to get light until well after 8 when I was sitting down to work 😭
Got my workout in as soon as we got home from the walk bc I knew I had to cook tonight. Quick leg day 👌
V busy work day today, they are intentionally understaffing us for calls lmao so that was intense BUT I now have 2 full days off the phones to get caught up on emails and other shit. So pros and cons.
Took Mags out at lunch to play football, we had a lovely time ❤️ She had a really good nap after, this is how I found her 😂
Made sort of thai curry with some peanut sauce we had frozen. It came out all creamy and savoury and pretty tasty for something I just threw together!
Ready to do it all over again tomorrow ✌️

Tried out a closer gym in the Upper West Side for the first time for funsies/bc it was getting late, and it wasn't too shabby (small locker room tho for being a two-floorer), though despite it being leg day my chest apparently wanted to chest 😳
#ore no kao#[also god this cute ginger i kept making eye contact with... may go back there more often in part to see how that goes lol]#[actually felt like there were a few more cute guys there than at my home gym in midtown--not that i was focusing on that or anything]#leg workout went well but had to can the sled part bc it felt weird using it on the floor there lol#also no Stairmaster but we'll see how i feel about making it up on Wed#and now work in the morning 🥱

kinda nervous to do leg day at the actual gym ngl, like doing upper body at the gym rather than at home for the other day for the first time (!!) was a little intimidating but overall fine... but lower body is just so much messier
#like people gonna see me losin balance and shit lel... but who cares i got gains to achieve#i guess we'll see if i get my ass out of here in time to catch the 7:30 bus and do a morning workout#ideally more of the machines will be free if i go before class (ive never used a leg machine)#but honestlyyyy i kinda dig my free weight workout#we shall see what happens#i havent been blogging a lot of my strength training journey but lmk if any of yall want me to change that#i finally had to start lifting in the gym since i outgrew my home weights!!#tho for leg day imma be real i probs only need 5 pounders#thots et al#gym bear arc

i love my gym but the structure is kind of dogshit like im not sure this is conducive to anything to be super honest
#the best parts of it are boxing and not having to engage a single braincell bc the exercises are just listed for you#and i think the high intensity circuit thing works for my body quite well BUT i really love proper strength training and obviously#i am nawt getting that here#havent been in a real gym in like 8 years though and i dont want to. amen#but i DO desperately want to see how much i can leg press now bc im so much stronger than i was when i was 20#i need that ego boost bc im never lifting anything really heavy in my workouts bc theres just no time#3 minute timers w paired exercises on a 45 min circuit my ass has GOT to think long term frhdjnc#fuck me though i need to work on my footwork at home i just dont Get it 😭#shes like get in close for the hook but you need distance for the cross right before it#idk i slurry my moves too much i guess. like im not pulling my cross all the way back before hitting the hook bc im already there#i think i figured smth out today though so yay#just need to ignore the other exercise on the station and just work this thang til i get it

Friday 8th December
Just a little Thursday / Friday update.. my first week has been soo good, like blowing my mind genuinely 😂 the amount and depth of training.. the patience of more experienced staff to answer our questions.. the fact they're not so worked into the ground or pressured that they're too exhausted to help us.. the fact my manager gave us the day working from home because everyone had already worked 4 days in the office when they would usually only do 2 / 3, so rather than forcing someone to come in to the office to train us, he set us up to be able to do what we would have done remotely instead! And of course the fact that I get to wear actual clothes and feel like a human person 😅
Yesterday's outfit
And a very belated mugshot for the birthday girl @thisgingersnapped50 ❤️❤️ New mug alert! 🚨 I was waiting for this arrive to take the pic lol I say 'happy days' alll the time so I saw it and had to have it.
Finished at 4.30 (!!!), came home and worked out (!!!!!!!) and had a great little time. Maggie helped (threw her oinky piggy around the house for the full 45 mins I was working out). I had worried about taking a desk job after being so active at my old job so obviously I'm eating a lot less as I'm not as hungry but I worried I'd get lazy.. but the opposite happened and I had a great workout.
And today (Friday) is my first work from home day and honestly it's a total game changer! I went from a lie-in (7am after getting up at 5.30 every day) snuggling with Maggie and Matt with breakfast in bed (because he is ALSO not at uni today!) straight to the spare room with my little office setup
Listened in to some calls with a lovely lady this morning and did all my training workbooks in the afternoon. Now snuggled on the couch watching The Grinch with Matt. How our Fridays have changed 😍😍 Hope everyone is well!!

This was a hard demo to make after leg day. Here’s an intense cardio and legwork out. Alternating lunge jumps with 5 stationary lunges per alternation. Perform for 1 to 2 min. Take a 1 to 3 min break depending on heart rate. Repeat 3 to 4 more time.
