it's only been two weeks of me trying it out, but i don't think i will lie if i say that starting to do little workouts during breaks at work was one of the best decisions of mine. all things considered. not only do i generally feel better after that, i also get more energy to then do my chinese lessons
#and that one break where i did the workout + did the lessons + managed to fell asleep for the last 15 minutes of it#was somehow the best break i ever had#besides this gives me an opportunity to workout more regularly even if just a little (stretching and moving is good for you i know right)#since before i took the 2 months long hiatus from working out because it was EXTREMELY HOT#i always felt a bit sad that i can't keep up regular work outs (the average ones i do at home) mostly because of work#just no time of energy to do them between shifts#and then not every day off i would manage to even remember to do anything#but on breaks? revolutionary#i never thought about it because i don't think#not twice not even once bestie#chattering

i love my gym but the structure is kind of dogshit like im not sure this is conducive to anything to be super honest
#the best parts of it are boxing and not having to engage a single braincell bc the exercises are just listed for you#and i think the high intensity circuit thing works for my body quite well BUT i really love proper strength training and obviously#i am nawt getting that here#havent been in a real gym in like 8 years though and i dont want to. amen#but i DO desperately want to see how much i can leg press now bc im so much stronger than i was when i was 20#i need that ego boost bc im never lifting anything really heavy in my workouts bc theres just no time#3 minute timers w paired exercises on a 45 min circuit my ass has GOT to think long term frhdjnc#fuck me though i need to work on my footwork at home i just dont Get it 😭#shes like get in close for the hook but you need distance for the cross right before it#idk i slurry my moves too much i guess. like im not pulling my cross all the way back before hitting the hook bc im already there#i think i figured smth out today though so yay#just need to ignore the other exercise on the station and just work this thang til i get it

This is such an amazing evening for me you guys!
Despite having some hard to get through seizures today and emotions of grief and sadness of the life I used to live and the money I used to be able to make I got out and had my first jump rope session in my new backyard! Heck yeah!!! A HUGE YES!
40 minutes tonight under the cloudy dark sky!
I haven’t been able to work out lately because moving has been very stressful and time consuming and I forget to eat right and i over all haven’t been doing the best job caring for myself throughout this move.
I promise myself to do a little better if I can every day moving forward as we continue the move.

very busy babysitting a duo of kittens (only two months old) the last few days but i shall be drawing when i return home (this includes requests)
and also if anyone wants to see the babies send an ask and i can post them in response hehe i have taken SO many photos
#yew branch#also i just missed a step on the stairs going down and ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow#i am now trapped on the couch until my back stops exploding at least a bit#upside tho is that the kittens are playing together on the couch#sometimes right on my lap!! theyre so so so so cute#i adore them#BUT YEAH i shall be drawing when i return home provided my back allows me to sit upright by that time#bc it sure isnt rn GDJSGJS#im sad ill have to go home tho.. these kittens are some of the cutest beasts alive#life is worth living because every day kittens are playing and having fun#i miiiiiiight be able to indirectly take one#one of my best friends might possibly be able/willing to take one and keep her with her own cat for me#until i move out of my parents house mid next year#so i might get to have... kitten that ive watched grow up from newborns...#the story behind these kittens is that one of my other best friends took in a stray and she turned out to be pregnant#and had these two!!#im also watching the three adult cats in this house but theyre not nearly as much of a handful#as can be imagined this friend is very tired of having 5 cats in the house regardless of how small two of them are GDJSVSN#which is very very understandable#i dont think i would want five cats unless i had a fairly large house. if i had a large house and plenty of free time most of each day#to give them play time and tons of affection#as well as the physical ability to keep up with them all#then id gladly have five cats#who knows maybe someday ill have a nice big house and plenty of spare time and my ddd will be under control#but that doesnt seem likely#aside from ddd being managed! because i have a pain relieving steroid injection tomorrow and then ill be starting physical therapy!!#im excited and i have a lot of hope for at least the physical therapy to help#PLUS THEY HAVE A POOL FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY!!!!!!! AND I LOVE SWIMMING ESPECIALLY AS A GENTLE WORKOUT#and low impact things are very important for my body specifically i cant do high impact exercise or itll hurt me#plus i just love being in water i swear i was meant to be an aquatic elf from dnd
