I'm trying to finish the next ask but I also have been trying to enjoy my time with my extended family, I hope you guys can understand.

Jamie spending so much time with Roy and visibly being so close to Roy that even Roy’s little niece takes note and ensures he’s invited to their Uncle’s Day celebration as Uncle Roy’s best friend, YET Jamie still being surprised, flattered and excited several episodes later when Roy does something as simple as invite him out for a beer, because that’s clearly something that’s unprecedented—the first opportunity to hang out as friends without any guise of it being for football—is just soooooo!! The implications are so silly. Roy definitely spent the entire season framing every interaction he had with Jamie around “work” and “training” even when he really just needed to be around someone (well, specifically around Jamie) because his ass couldn’t just admit he likes having Jamie around. We know from the show he showed up at least once in the evening for “once more before dinner” (Roy…it was literally dark outside and you’d already had Jamie running around twice that day. be forreal)

…so anyway! Roy bringing dinner over to Jamie’s 4 nights a week and it’s really because he doesn’t want to eat alone and having his meals with Jamie is just better, but he still disguises it every time as “well I obviously need to make sure your nutrition is sound and you are eating enough and the right things this is a very important part of your training. I am doing you a crucial service.” Roy bringing Jamie along with him when he watches Phoebe because Phoebe and Jamie adore each other, but Roy “makes” him show her some footie tricks in his back garden and claims it’s because “being able to explain it to someone else is how you become a leader on the team this is very important” or else has him haul phoebes around on his back or whatever as “strength training” to make himself feel better about just wanting Jamie to be there to hang out. Roy following Jamie back home after matches because he needs to “assess his post-match routine and make sure he’s not overdoing it,” but really it’s just them plopped on Jamie’s couch watching bad reality tv and judging it together. And then *obviously* he might as well stay over, so that he can also observe and give Jamie his helpful advice on a morning wake up and stretch routine. Totally necessary!

And look, part of Jamie understands what’s really happening here and at least sort of knows Roy really does like spending time with him outside of just work and training (hence all his best friend teasing on Uncle’s Day), but Jamie is also a bit of an idiot (affectionate) who in equal measure sort of believes he’s just deluding himself and that all of this really has been an elaborate and effective training scheme from Coach Roy.™️ They perplex and bewitch me. s

Same guy (I keep forgetting to use my 💜 I’ll get better at it) and like. This AU COULD be omegaverse but honestly I think it’s even better some how if it isn’t. Like they’re not being pushed together instinctually due to compatibility driving their feelings. It’s just pure “mmm I like this crazy/annoying guy lets torment each other for the next few years until we can finally admit we’re in love” and it’s GREAT

lex one day when they’re getting together privately admitting he killed his dad and Dan just going “yeah I know it’s fine?” And lex is ??????? And then Dan having to admit that he was fully aware when that happened and was already one of his dads security guys at the time. And lex is even more ???????????? And then Dan is just “some dads just need to die, too. I won’t say anything but I did have a stepdad as a child. Emphasis on “did”” 💜

Dan is from Gotham, he’s seen some shit. He does NOT care about Alexander Luthor Sr.’s ALLEGED homicide. Dan’s like “yeah maybe the tapes went missing that night who knows babe” and Lex is like…..you did that for me 🥺 before you even knew me? WHY? And Dan has to tell Lex, without letting Lex crash out (he’s going to anyway) that he felt sorry for him, and that’s why….

Well one of my favourite techniques is by allowing the target plausible deniability for dressing up

Maybe do a bet and the loser has to wear this dress Or maybe make it real ambiguous and reveal the dress part later

Or maybe make a bigger social event where everyone dresses so cutely so you might as well join in

Be kind, be accepting and patient, love every single step “he” takes and be very vocal about your encouragements

Truly love bomb “him”, make “him” associate feminity with happiness (if that association isn’t there already), make every step made “wonderful and lovely and you’re doing so great and I’m so so proud of you and I just want to gobble you up and and and” don’t give “him” any time to doubt

“He” is adorable and you’re so so so glad “he” is letting you do “his” nails, you know this color would fit so so well, and regardless of how well painted the nails are, they do add so much and make “him” look so good, and we should really try purple next!

That’s another crucial step, once you make progress don’t let it go

You paint his nails? Wonderful! If they get chipped and “he” asks how to remove it als to it for “him and instantly apply a new color

“He” let you do some basic makeup? Make “him” feels so so pretty and set a time next week when we can try the different mascara! And maybe even dress up a little to match the make up!

“He” puts on a skirt for you? Well it’s gorgeous it fits so so well it’s really “his” color! And maybe just take it with you? And if not let’s go clothes shopping next week! I know this lovely second hand store where we can get you so many beautiful clothes for cheap! It’d be a shame if you didn’t own at least one skirt yourself!

And, I kind of forgot what I was saying there! Just get “him” to agree to one minor point, make “him” feel so so loved for it, and always set up the next point, which can be either more of the same or an escalation, but never give her time to doubt, herself always pin down a “next-time” for her to look forward to, and always make her feel so so loved for showing up every time!

People aren’t nearly vocal enough about how they feel towards those closest to them! Be the exception!

Any toxic hcs for the milgram prisoners + es? pain bc we gotta know toxic things our favs do or say….

LMAO this made me laugh so much – we love when our faves suck ass 👏👏👏 I feel we’ve gotten a clear picture of how the prisoners react to people they don’t like and their reactions to negative emotions, so I tried to find toxic things they’d do when interacting with/arguing with people they actually do like lol. Some are based on specific canon details and some I’ll admit are just hcs/vibes I’ve always had about them >:3

When making friends, Haruka messes with their personal belongings. It’s never anything huge, but he’ll enter cells in secret to pocket possessions, hide things, and occasionally ruin things. He likes that the owner has to come find him to get it back, find it, or is forced to spend more time with him now that their other activity can’t be used. Even if he’s scolded for it, he takes that as a win and it doesn’t stop him from doing it again.

Yuno likes things her way, and is willing to go behind people’s backs to get it. She always gets what she wants at the end of the day. She’ll communicate well the first time, but if the answer isn’t satisfactory then she sneaks around to change the situation in secret. She employs bribery and blackmail, always giggling and saying it’s not that big of a deal so it’s difficult to accuse her seriously.

(One definition of toxic behavior is something that “creates an environment of stress, discomfort, and emotional turmoil” and that’s basically every confrontation that comes out of Fuuta’s mouth LMAO. So aside from the obvious,) he always assumes the worst of people no matter what a kind gesture it may be. He believes every compliment and favor is just an attempt at manipulating someone. He takes even the most well-intentioned statements as hidden attacks and insults, and reacts accordingly without telling the other.

Muu is very touchy, and doesn’t listen when people shy away from her. She’s constantly trying to fix people’s outfits and their hair by grabbing things, or guiding their hand to showing them the correct way to do something, or taking things she thinks people are offering to her right from their grasp. She gets really offended when people do the same to her, and explains it’s different because she knew what she was doing when she helped, and they don’t. 

Shidou always assumes he’s the smartest in the room. Though he’s not openly arrogant about it, he’ll politely ignore advice from others and steamroll conversations because he’s just so sure of his own plan. Even when apologizing or admitting to be wrong, it’s clear he thinks there was a very intelligent reason for being wrong rather than it being a messy emotional mistake. Whenever he argues, he stays calm and has this patronizing look, as if he’s talking to someone much younger and dumber than himself.

Mahiru is a busybody. She thinks she’s capable of solving other people’s problems that they 1. Don’t need her to fix, 2. Don’t want her to fix, 3. There isn’t actually a problem, she just misunderstood. She hears one person venting about another and she immediately goes to the other party to tell them and try to work things out. She believes people have unrequited feelings and goes to wild lengths to set them up together. She announces things that were confided to her in secret, thinking it will help to get it off people’s chest. 

Kazui can get into bouts of “learned helplessness” with his imagined age. He’ll assume he’s too old to get the joke/reference; it’s too much to explain to him, don’t trouble yourself; he can’t relate to your pain; you wouldn’t get his joke/reference/pain because it’s from a different time, etc. He acts like he’s doing a favor and saving people the trouble of talking to him, but it’s clear he’s just not putting in the work to relate to others and offer them a simple kind word. 

(I don’t know if a 12yo can be “toxic” per se, but) Amane is perfectly attuned to what others will respond to when she tries to argue. She may seem like she’s preaching in vain to people who won’t listen, but she definitely knows the right words/tone/framing to use to get the reaction she’s looking for while coming out of the situation looking innocent and well-behaved. Sometimes she says things knowing full well they won’t work, but if she stays calm and “oblivious” while the adult gets worked up, it’s difficult for people to blame her for any outburst.

Mikoto assumes others feel the same as him, and will charge ahead with uncomfortable plans and conversations. He doesn’t see personal questions as invasive or pushy because he assumes everyone else has a perfectly scripted normal-life response like him. He thinks everyone will eventually get used to being thrown into the social spotlight because he gets nervous sometimes but then enjoys it. He offers unsolicited advice, as well as unsolicited criticism, because he can’t imagine anyone wanting an “unstable” life like they’re living now. 

Kotoko feels above certain conversations and arguments, and will simply walk out instead of talking things out. Even when stuck in a tight room, she’ll just shut down and stay silent rather than have a tough conversation. She claims she won’t dignify the other with an answer, but it’s clear she just doesn’t want to face the discomfort of the topic. 

Es refuses to talk, in general – even neutral or good information is difficult for them to communicate. Sometimes they assume everyone else is observing the situation as closely as them (so they’re all on the same page), and sometimes they just think it’s not the others’ business (so it’s okay the other is left in the dark). They don’t talk to the prisoners about each other – even when serious issues are revealed in interrogations, Es doesn’t pass it along to get any help. They don’t speak a word when they’re making plans, so others end up doing things and making their own plans that conflict and make Es angry at their disruption. They don’t speak up about interpersonal situations – good or bad – and leave it up to the other party to bring up topics.

Bet you wish I didn't give up on coloring for that one page, you know which one I'm talking about. maybe I'll color that single page later for fun. Or, maybe If enough people want to, I’ll let you guys color them in your own style. Please comment, I really enjoy reading what you think of my art. I hope this is explains why the other characters were written a bit out of character. It’s because it’s a nightmare. It’s not real. The only character that is real in this is Anxiety. The others are a figment of her worst worrys.

i just watched Inside Out 2 and it gave me an idea! (And I'm about to make it your problem)

So: if the League was responsible for someone's (probably not very mentally stable) mind, which emotion would each of them be? (It doesn't have to be an emotion from the film. Go wild if you want!)

Also, who would be in control the most? And is someone actually in charge?

So because I love to make things difficult for myself, I decided that they’ll not only have to be from the movies, but that each emotion can only be used once. That being said I think they’d be:

Joy - Magne. While Magne joined the League due to being discriminated and feeling out of place in society, I think shes the greatest example of someone who turned the League into a real home, and turned herself into someone she was proud of. She wanted to find a place where she could be herself, and find the confidence to be herself as well. And she did! She found that place and those people and found her own confidence and made her life something she could be happy with

Anxiety - Twice. Obviously a lot of his character is about being uncertain of himself and constantly being conflicted or contradicting himself. His general stance on himself is clearly a huge source of stress and anxiety for him, but also I think his jumpy/contradictory personality kind of embodies anxiety in a way

Ennui - Mr Compress. Alright I know this might seem kind of odd since hes Anything but the tired, bored, apathetic teen in Inside Out, but hear me out. He sorta acts as the counter to ennui. He doesnt really have a reason to be a villain other than he just. Wants to? He doesnt need to be dramatic or flamboyant but he Wants To. In a way, you say that he does find the world to be uninteresting or unappealing, and that on its own its not something he particular cares about. He acts the way he does because of that, he wants to make sure he doesn’t become bored and apathetic

Anger - Dabi. This ones pretty self explanatory I think. Hes angry at the world, at his family, at his life, at heroes, everything. His main motivation is that hes been wronged, and everyone deserves to pay for it. While a lot of the League are angry that they were wronged in some way, most of them have learned to cope with it in some way, or channel it into other goals and mindsets. Dabi never really learned to do this, and instead made his whole life a mission of revenge

Disgust - Mustard. He’s absolutely repulsed by heroes, especially those in training, seeing them as snobs who look down on others. He’s angry like Dabi, but in a way where social hierarchies play a lot into it. Maybe its just because hes a teen, but he reminds me a lot of stereotypical high school movies, where the dislike between kids is less focused on genuine injustices, and more on distain for social politics and a general sense of how much “better” you are than someone else. From what I remember of Disgust in Inside Out she had a similar vibe to her

Envy - Toga. While a lot of the league have a story about wanting something that others have (safety, friendship, self confidence, etc.) Toga is the one who acts on this the most, and in the most malicious ways. Her desire for other people or what they have is a main motivating force for her, and you can see that in the way she acts with other people, especially with how possessive she can be

Fear - Shigaraki. A lot of Shigaraki’s life has revolved around fear in some way. He started out as a timid child, scared of his family and later scared of himself. His fear was then taken advantage of by OfA, using it to mold him into the perfect prodigy in his teen/young adult years. As an adult, he serves as the face of the League, being a symbol of fear to the general public

Nostalgia - Kurogiri. While Kurogiri himself may not have any memories of his life pre-League, a lot of his story revolves around the past, and a life he can never go back to. Also the fact that Riley gets nostalgia later in life and Oboro became Kurogiri later as well matches up nicely I think

I couldn’t really think of anyone for sadness or embarrassment so. Whoops.

I think in typical League fashion, Shigaraki is in charge to an extent. At least if not in charge then he’s most prevalent. I think the person stuck with these assholes would be both a really worried person in general, constantly fearing that everyone is against them, but they would cope with that by trying to get others to fear them instead

Hello! I just wanted to ask how it's going with anxiety x ennui fanfic.

I ironically JUST made a post about it!!!!

One is finished! Waiting on some extra aspects, the other is still currently in the process of being written. If I could write it faster I would. But I’m currently doing an insanely intense 5 week double college course session. So I’m basically fitting in 2 14 week classes into 5 weeks. It’s INSANE!

But any free time I do try to spend writing so I don’t leave y’all hanging!
