technically, there are many kinds of vampires in fiction.

are we talking about twilight vampires, in which case they're basically made of rock/ice, so always rock hard? (pun intended)

or are we talking about the vampire diaries vampires, in which case their hearts do beat, albeit slowly, and they keep their bodily heat by consuming warm drinks/food.

of course there are also vampires with cold bodies with paused decomposition who don't have beating hearts, in which case they wouldn't have such an ability.

moreover, there are vampires in for ex. the Dark Heroine by Abigail Gibbs, who are royal families that procreate, and they behave as supernatural humans (with the need to consume blood); warm bodied.

another mention would be vampires in shadowhunters who are simple reanimated corpses with no heartbeat. a conclusion can be made they might have the physical ability to "get hard".

so pls allow me to ramble a bit abt how my pulls went:

he came home EARLY !!!! 31 pity counts as pretty early to me like i genuinely did not believe my eyes at first. but who am i to complain 🫣🫣 i also got his LC!!! not as early since it came at 69 pity - but still the first 5* LC that i've ever pulled for willingly LMAO so it's still a win in my book! congrats to this silly guy for breaking my no-warping-for-LC's streak ig 💔

by the time i got aventurine & his LC, i have 55 warps left + 12 more from the starlight exchange for jingliu.... but she did not come home and e2 bronya did instead. this woman is stubborn 😔 so now it's either i continue grinding jades for her or i save 'em all for sunday (delulu) !!!!

MOVING ON - i spent the whole day maxing his traces, so i wanted to show his build aka my blood, sweat and tears. HERE COMES THE BOY !!!! his crit ratio is 30/184 with just the relics - but thanks to his traces & LC (that provide a crit rate boost based on def & a crit dmg boost respectively), this man's stats in combat went 🆙🆙. here's a comparison for my aven's crit ratio out of battle vs in battle!

(ignore the team setup on the right: that's my default farming team with a free slot for support charas that i borrow from friends 🏃 i run him w/ ruan mei, silver wolf and dr. ratio! rip luocha ur services will be missed)

from what i observe, he does a consistent 50~60k with his ult and an average 25~35k with his FUA. i'd say that's good !!! his shield in itself is already op. regrettably, i wished he could have more SPD, but i'll take what i can get! all that matters is that he's here safe and sound <3

begging people to understand that explanation for actions =/= condoning them. You can say why something happened without defending it. People have gotten so caught up in calling people out that they just assume explanations are an automatic defense of the thing that somebody did, even when you explicitly say "just because that's why it happened doesn't make what happened good." I can do self destructive things because of my anxiety. That does not make those things good, but it doesn't change that I did them because I was anxious. What if that is how Lizzie was born?

Someone, or even Diana, says that she has a daughter while holding the lasso and because she's holding it the lie becomes 'truth'.

It would also make sense why she would even keep the lasso of lies as maybe she needs to hold it to stay tethered to reality, to stay alive. Especially since it's wrapped around her more like an accessory than equipment.

And also why she feels so disconnected from her 'mother' Diana, because Diana is a woman of truth and she was born of lies.

Plus this would also make it so Diana doesn't have to 'spend time' pregnant in the world of comics, people will believe she had already been pregnant, and also do away with any questions of who Lizzie's dad is (unless she makes the lie while holding the rope with someone, or the 'King of America' created her to burden Diana and so he is technically her father).

I hate that I'm thinking of this. I blame all the artists I like announcing their own variant covers for the Trinity special dropping in 2024. Shows how much DC really wants this to be a success + want to sell as many as possible using variant covers to point to as proof of concept (like they're doing with the WW series rn - why wait until NOW for Jim Lee to do the final piece of the triptych).

drug recs for a first time drug doer? I've drunk alcohol obviously but never done anything harder.

Other than booze which I love, Rhino Horn is definitely my favorite. Helps me get shit done but is also fun. But it's not like that for everybody. Eddie basically only does it when he's in a mood and Mary doesn't fuck with it at all, she's more of a stoner than a tweaker. Weeds fun every once in a while. I don't really like opium because you just sit around and nod off. You feel really happy but you don't do much and I like to be doing shit. Can't have a coconut war on opium, and it's a bit of a waste of medical supplies anyway. I basically only do it if there's nothing else on the boat. Mushrooms are great for an afternoon, kinda like weed in that it's for a special occasion where you want to sit around and giggle at stupid shit. You know if you mix mushrooms with lemon juice it dissolves em a little bit and it doesn't last as long but it hits you way harder.
