I think this post is cursed cus like A. The entire lower half of my phone started to glitch when I tried to answer; B. Tumblr crashed about three times erasing everything I wrote; C. There isn't a C, I'm just pissed it deleted everything.

I'm also only now really realizing I haven't talked about many of my ships, mostly cus a chunk of them are either rarepairs or just not my main blorbos so...

ZITS: 18. How do they care for each other when one of them is wounded/sick?

It really depends on situation and who exactly has been hurt. For Skizz and Tango, again depending on situation, it's pretty standard to be injured, especially with Skizz cus he ends up getting into fights he can't quite handle.

Tango and Impulse actually get sick easily, mainly Tango. Being from the nether and all, their bodies just haven't adapted to the overworld fully especially with it's illnesses. So when it comes to them being sick they just try to tough it out until one or more of their partners drags them home or something.

Generally their dragged back home and forced to rest, which sometimes but not always involves forced cuddles because that helps a bit.

Zedbeef: 26. What sacrifices do they make for the other?

I don't really know. At some point I had an idea for an AU that Beef became a vampire because of Zed. In a way sacrificing his humanity.

Without the angst stuff though? I don't know. I just don't focus or watch Beef often enough to have good ideas/headcanons for him mainly 😔

Zedbeef: 28. Who’s the better chef? Do they cook for the other?

Zed is not allowed within a few miles of a kitchen, solely because he is herself. So like they're just not allowed to cook at all no matter the pairing (special exception for Tango but only slightly). Anyways, Beef is a pretty good cook and doesn't mind making food for Zed, he's pretty familiar with her 'dietary restrictions' being a vampire and all.

3: Which of your fics is criminally underrated? C: What do you think makes it deserving of love?

I'm gonna go with a non HP one! She's In Parties is a Spike/Drusilla fic from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It follows Spike and Drusilla through history as they attend various parties and murder people etc. I think it's just underrated because the fandom for this pairing compared to other btvs ships is TINY, criminally small, and believe me it's incredibly hard to find fics for them, while the ones that do exist get very little attention.

I think it deserves love (and it does get some, which I'm very grateful for!) because I put a loooot of effort into historical research for it, something I always love to do. Also it's one of the more graphically violent things I've written which has been a lot of fun. Spike and Dru deserve a little violence 💖 as a treat

I think the main thing that pisses me off about like 90% of mephiles ships is that people will be like "how old is he??" Look that fanwiki says that he's ten and they RUN with it. Like they don't read further. I'm so convinced that most people don't even know the plot of 06 bc the shit I've seen people draw and write with the characters is just mind boggling.

If there is at least one thing I can credit FE for doing better than Tales in localization, it's not trying to actively go out of their way for an entire game to avoid subtext or direct text between two men that is romantic or implied romantic. Funny when it's so present that the attempt doesn't even work; infuriating that it was attempted to begin with.

So as much as I often have issues with some of FE's localizations, at least they have a leg up on loc Tales for that.

8. What do they love most about the other? Why?

Tango sort of admires everything about Bdubs in some way, but if he loved one specific thing over all else it'd probably be Bdubs' stubbornness? Like the way he goes "yeah I can do this. I'm good at this." even if he can't.

For Bdubs I can't really decide, but maybe it'd be the way Tango gets when he's excited. Something about him just seeming like a hyper puppy. He also just loves to see when his partners are happy.

27. How do they say “I love you” non-verbally?

Gifts. They both have a love language in some way of gift giving or receiving. Along with that, Tango just loves to hug and generally be close to his partner, so little kisses and touches become a silent "I love you" when he doesn't or can't speak it.

〔Short Answer〕

〔Long Answer〕

Yurei (幽霊) is a sub-type of yokai that are ghosts with unfinished business. All humans have a spirit, otherwise known as reikon, if given a proper funeral the reikon will join its’ ancestors in the afterlife. The ascended reikon will also protect its’ living family and the future generations. However if instead they are killed suddenly or hold ill feelings, the reikon will turn into a yurei and they will haunt the living until their unfinished deed or ill feelings are resolved. The more suffering a human experiences, the more powerful they will be as a Yurei.

There is a sub-type of Yurei that died at sea called “Funayurei (船幽霊).” They died at sea and they will forever haunt the sea. Funayurei have a unique fish-like appearance, basically mermaids. As their name says, “Boat Spirit,” they haunt the seas and cannot leave the seas. They fill boats with water to shipwreck and kill the passengers.

I think Gonzalo fits for this sub-type since he died at sea abruptly and probably with strong ill feelings since this was during the war. It’s also quite tragically fitting, the imagery of a reikon protecting its’ family being paralleled with a soldier protecting his country. But because of his ill feelings, this protection was more violent than defensive.

There is another sub-type of yurei that dies on land called, “Jibakurei (地縛霊).” As the name suggest “Earth-bound Spirits,” these are spirits that died abrupt deaths on land. They don’t have a unique appearance and could just be undead versions of the living person. They do not serve a specific purpose, only tied to a location or event.

The way Realex’s body is treated in the school by Faklex already makes it feel like he’s haunting the place~ Hidden away in a secret room with no door, and if Olivia finds she’ll receive a knife that she can use to, supposedly, kill Faklex or herself. Taking out the living the same way you died? Sounds similar to the Funayurei~ But that is pure coincindence, the Jibakurei is simply there to serve as a reminder of a tragedy. And Alex does that just fine, his corpse forever stuck in a cruel immortalisation of his suicide.

Speaking of Alex, what about our beloathed Faklex? Next is the Amanojaku (天邪鬼)! Amanojaku is a demon that encourages humans to do evil deeds. One infamous story is when Melon Princess was killed and then skinned by an Amanojaku. After eating her corpse, the Amanojaku was seen wearing her skin and impersonating her.

Sound familiar?~ I have a headcanon that the way Faklex steals bodies is by driving his victims to suicide, it would explain Alex’s death and the secret Olivia ending — or suicides are easy food, no need to kill if they’re already dead. Even though Amanojaku’s are focused on persuading people to commit sin, the Melon Princess story was too good to pass up. And besides, Alex is doing a great job being a bad influence on Scrina, Asmodena and Candice/Candy, forcing them to clean up and commit his murders.

Oni (鬼) are aggressive cannibal demons. They live in caves and disguise themselves as humans, they kill and eat them. They have a unique way of eating humans in one bite. Nowadays though they can be domesticated by being given offerings, in return they guard homes from intruders. They also give good fortune and wealth. The Oni mask is used to scare away disobedient children or discpline kids into becoming obedient.

The duality of an aggressive killer of human and a dilligent defender of humans reminded me of Viktor :) there is also a trope of modern Oni being troublesome and comedic, which is fitting for his cursed vr normal personality. When he is cursed he uses his human teacher disguise to befriend Angell, then hunts her down for even small mistakes. But when he’s normal he’s a jokester, but is very serious with making sure Angell survives and is able to escape or fix Infinity School.

Another member from the Infinity School is Tiara! Hannya (般若) is a sub-type of Oni. This demon was a human who was hurt deeply by her lover. Driven mad by her jealousy and pain, her spirit left her while she was alive and she turned into a demon. She now plays her revenge by targetting cruel men. Hannya mask represents destructive passion, in the shadows it either looks like it’s ugly crying or snarling angrily. Similar to Oni, the modern Hannya is much kinder. She brings protection and either good fortune or revenge.

I think Tiara would be the sub-sub-type Hanya Chunari (般若中成), this is the most powerful Hannya. Her body is still human but her face is fully transformed with a demon, with large horns. But she is not full-transformed, so it’s possible to save her with Buddhist prayers. This sub-sub-type allows Tiara to keep her opera mask and have her shadowey tarwill body be refrenced in the Hannya Chunari’s strong dark magic.

The fully-transformed sub-sub-type is Hanyang Honnari (般若本成)/Kiyo Hime (清姫), which is similar to Chunari exceot the body is now a serpent/dragon. She is found lurking manily in the ocean, unlike her other Hanya sub-sub-types. Since Honnari is fully-transformed there’s no hope of saving her, she is permanently a demon. There is a story where a monk manipulates a lady using her love for him, then makes a false promise that he will return home after a boating trip. When the lady found out he was lying the whole time, she was heartbroken and chased him to the docks. The monk left on a boat but the lady swam through the ocean, eventually emerging out the water as a Kiyo Hime and killing him.

There are two reasons I think Billy fits this: 1.) It’s a parallel to his family dying in the ocean during the war; 2.) The Monk x Lady story parallels Bob never returning home from the expedition, abandonment issues; 3.) His girlfriend is a deadbeat wife and mom. This is headcanon since there’s no official reason why Billy’s girlfriend/old friend is missing or replaced by a robot, maybe she died in child birth or Billy killed her! Idk! — After his girlfriend left him to raise his son alone, Billy was filled with alot of grief. Grief strong enough for him to build a robot in her image. And maybe grief strong enough to corrupt him into a Hannya? His only tie left to humanity — or artificial humanity — now being his son… But even that is gone too because-

Chopiraku (チョウピラコ) is a sub-type of Zashiki Warashi (座敷童子). It is the spirit of a child who was given a lavish funeral and shrine filled with offerings and their favourite toys and candies. Because of this they are much more difficult to take care of than Zashiki, but unlike Zahiki they give blessing of good fortune and wealth.

In BBEG:11YL we don’t see Billy’s Son again, I headcanon’d that it was because Son grew disillusioned with Billy’s obssesion of being “well-made” that he decided to leave and live his own life. But it’s also possible that perhaps Son died, which intensified Billy’s grief even more. And so all that remains is the spirit of a happy child stuck in the past, just like his father.

idea for a story:

i have a fic started where ranpo is like. gritting their teeth and mentally preparing themself to tell fukuzawa that they're dating a guy from the organization that tried to burn yokohama to the ground. and fukuzawa's first response basically ends up being "?? i thought you were aromantic?" and ranpo is like. hold on. is that actually more pressing than the "he tried to kill me thing"? not that i'm complaining but.. what

i don't like fukufuku or fukumori. i understand them. but i don't ship them.

omg i came up with an idea a while ago for a fic where yosano and kyouka are assigned a case together where a homicide case where a woman may or may not have killed her husband in his sleep, but when they go to investigate, the cops sort of just brush them off, not believing they're actually capable of solving the case. and i shan't say anymore in case i do write it one day :-)

I'm not too big a Sonknux shipper (I don't really ship anyone with Sonic full stop) but for the sheer amount of Sonadow and rabid Sonadow shippers that popped up, I'm half tempted to create a 2:30 hour long Sonknux cinematic animation out of spite. It would be a quirky romcom with musical scenes which starts with Knuckles first meeting Sonic and ending with them kissing in front of the Master Emerald at their wedding.

i dont really have a problem with sonadow necessarily or people making jokes about them being gay in the new episode, i also went "🏳️‍🌈?" a few times while watching it. im mostly just annoyed that its everywhere at all times and so many people seem to have sonadow as their number one priority always and dont care about anything else.. like if you search sonic prime on here its just sonadow sonadow sonadow with not nearly as many posts about what actually happens in the episode or theorizing about what might happen next or even discussing sonic and shadows interactions beyond just going "omg sonadow!"... like is that really all you guys took from it? you dont care about anything else? just shipping? ok...

Ohh thank you for this one <3 <3 ! I'm not sure I ever talked about it here. I'll admit, they look great together and their canonical drama is very appealing, but sadly

I don’t Ship It (anymore)

Why don’t you ship it? When I first got into the MDZS fandom in 2020, and when I still didn't have a favorite character, I read a lot of 3zun fics and had a lot of fun. But after a little while, as I fell in love with Nie Mingjue and as I started to dislike Jin Guangyao, the fics started to bother me, because a lot of them seemed way more sympathetic towards Guangyao, and often had Mingjue as the only one to recognize and apologize for his mistakes, rarely taking his feelings into account, and I stopped enjoying them.

And this approach to the ship is quite common outside of the fics as well, so it's not really a dynamic that I like, because I have a really hard time with Jin Guangyao, and maybe that's what it really boils down to.

2. What would have made you like it?

Back in the day, if the fandom generally considered Nie Mingjue's feelings and trauma and why he is the way he is when discussing and writing this ship (and if JGY's actions against him weren't so constantly downplayed) maybe I would still be shipping it.

Now I don't think I could ever get into it again. That being said, I like the idea of it being a past relationship in a fic if it was really bad for Nie Mingjue, if that makes any sense. I don't wanna see the relationship itself, but the aftermath can be quite tasty.

3. Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?

There's so much drama, they're very different from each other and trying to figure out a way for it to work can be really fun! They look really good together, like aesthetically. And they make for an excellent bad experience Nie Mingjue has to recover from ;)
