writing advice for characters with a missing eye: dear God does losing an eyes function fuck up your neck. You know, instead of spending $10 on blazing posts no one will really care for, you can use that $10 and help 14 year old @ahmadwaleed555 regain funds for his campaign for his family.

He recently had to start a new one because the organizer did not maintain contact with him after 2 months.

As of writing this post, he has risen only $285 / $3,500 (short term goal). As you can see, this campaign is moving slowly.

im seeing a lot of "queer people dont kill yourselves" posts and yes, i agree but also poc folks dont kill yourselves. you're needed in this space just as much as the white folks are. we will get through this hand in hand together

This morning there was a nation-wide text spam campaign targeting Black Americans (largely students) telling them that they’ve been selected to pick cotton and will be picked up to be sent to a plantation after Trump’s inauguration.

People online are making jokes about it, but it’s genuinely a disturbing sign. Someone was emboldened enough to intentionally run a background on thousands of young Black people and send them racist messages the day after a very exhausting and stressful election.

Before January 2025:

If you are a USAmerican in a relationship that might be affected by legislation that dissolves same-sex marriages, who may no longer be recognized as next-of-kin, especially if you have children, get your rights in writing!

Your marriage certificate may not be enough to prove you have rights to make medical decisions for non-biological children or for a same-sex spouse or partner.

Go to a lawyer, get it spelled out as clearly as possible that you have a voice in emergency medical and legal situations.
