But could you imagine if the human accidentally starts courting koba first without realizing it. Bringing him pelts they hunted for him because he doesn't socialize or sleep with the other apes and the human is worried he'd get cold, or they willingly leave the others during communal eating and bringing more food because koba isn't there and the human wanted to eat with him/ don't want him to be alone.

Ceaser stops the human to ask what they are doing and they go , "oh its for koba 🤗" and he dies & laugh inside knowing what it looks like to an ape what the human is doing, but gives the ape version of a blessing anyways. Because dammit it if this is what it takes to get koba to chill tf out against humanity then fine... the human thinks Ceaser is just wishing them luck because its koba lol

Like you said, he gets injured or gets so sick that the human abandons their own nest to sleep on the ground beside his to make sure hes ok and breathing. I got so much koba brainrot. AHHH anon you are actually so very sweet! i was hoping you'd enjoy my writing, always wanted to start writing stuff on Tumblr haha- I actually love the idea presented that Reader just doesn't know their courting Koba, and he won't say anything lmaooo- Caesar would totally notice and would give bombastic side eye but he'd actually be fine with it, banking on the fact this could help Koba slowly heal from his mental wounds and physical wounds he has from humanity! Reader brings him pelts from hunting trips, when he doesn't eat with the community and after asking Caesar all about it he tells them that Koba has just never really sat with the other apes to eat, so Reader just starts bringing food to Koba, I feel like the first time they do that Koba throws the food at them to get them to go away, to leave him alone, but they just keep coming back to give him food and he just gets used to it over time, when it comes out between them, when Koba actually finally asks why Reader sits with him to eat all the time instead of with Caesar and the rest of the community, Reader just tells him "I don't like that you are alone all the time...I think you just need a friend" and Koba is like taken aback by that revelation, that Reader wants to be his friend, how upset they may have been in the moment as well would change something ever so slightly between them, and he allows them to take their meals with him all the time and perhaps one time they sit with the community to eat, but they're still next to each other, still chatting between themselves, even sharing a joke or two, much to the shock of the other apes lmaooo- And reader just starts to stay more and more with Koba each night, the first time they stayed in Koba's nest with him is because he's always seen them staying on the ground and maybe it's a cold night, and he just wraps his arms around Reader, easily picking them up and letting them sleep in his nest with him, like Reader wakes up in the morning to Koba slowly playing with their hair, MY HEARTTTTT- I just love the idea of Koba playing with Readers hair omlllll And thank you sm, I promise I won't burn myself out, I'm just having so much fun with this rn! <333

She'll calm down too, but always gives her child a small first aid kit, water, and anything else they'll need if they happen to get injured at practice.

They'll definitely get some healthy exercise, and yes, she believes in them. Everything's gonna be okay, the fisherwoman believes.

When Ysabelle's and Farmer's kid blurts out that "I want to be a fighter," she will ask everyone to have a family talk. The conversation won't be long, but she will clearly explain with Farmer to the kid what might await them in fights and whether they really want it. If not, she will offer them an alternative. If the kid insists, she'll allow it, but she'll worry periodically about every scratch they got in training.

"Wow, that's some fighting spirit!" The most important thing for Kiarra is that her and Farmer's dear kid actually want this and will be happy. Sure, she'll worry sometimes, but thanks to a good teacher, first aid lessons and safety rules, the graphic design doesn't worry too much about her kid.

anyway, hi hello! i think i saw you mention somewhere that you're a librarian and have read a bunch of vampire books (I think I also remember seeing you mention it as the reason why you were disappointed with the vampire elements in twilight, bc you expected it to read more as a vampire book than a romance iirc?)

So, i got curious with a few posts mentioning Alistair (one of those background character vamps in BD) and his backstory?? SHEITTT I'm a sucker (pun not intended) for that tragedy angle. Because of that, and because SMeyer really just gave all that and shafted it on the main story bc "they're not pretty things to write 🥺" I want to ask if you have any vampire stories/books to recommend that get into that tragedy? where the protagonist or at least even one of the main characters gets turned (likely against their will given the context) and deals with the horror of their transformation, goes through some Stages of Monster Grief trope being "What did you DO TO ME?!" (feel free to add in stories you know that do the whole I hate you vampire dad trope where they're bitter at their creator for turning them bc mmmm that's fun angst too lol!)

No Vampire Chronicles since I've seen them (though I like the existential angle of it all) Louis's experiences and Claudia's tragedy in Interview with the Vampire are great but I've read it already XD

You. You get it. That's the vibe. That's what I want in vampire stories, and why Breaking Dawn was just the opposite of everything I like about them. "Whee I'm so happy I was born for this" is maybe a neat subversion of "what have I become?!" but it was, for me, also boring. But the backstories, ugh, so many of the backstories were SO GOOD. Alistair's whole thing with his horse breaking its own neck in its attempt to get away from vampire!Alistair, his beloved falcons now being terrified of him, like SM went SO HARD with this backstory and does . . . nothing with it. It's just in the guide. It's so grim and tragic and devastating and for me, about 1000 times more interesting than anything that happens in Breaking Dawn.

And Carlisle!! I know I've harped on this before, but Carlisle's backstory is like 85% of why I kept reading the books after the first one, I LOVE it. The son of a monster-hunting pastor gets bitten and hides for three days in silence despite the pain because his knows if discovered his father will have him burned alive. Then he becomes a vampire and tries to destroy himself, but fails, so opts to banishing himself to the woods to starve. Mmmm. Delicious. Bring me 10 more stories just like this.

Regrettably I have not found many books that scratch that itch. So much of vampire stuff these days is romantasy and that's not what I'm looking for, I want to wallow in the dread and the horror and the angst and the crushing weight of eternal thirst, please and thank you.

If you haven't read Dracula yet, do give it a try. There's definitely dread and horror and angst over transformations. I really liked Elizabeth Kostova's The Historian but it's more like, spooky than horror but it's sort of like Dracula meets the Da Vinci Code but better written (and it has vampire librarians!). Stephen King's Salem's Lot is a pretty traditional vampire novel but it's been awhile since I read it and I don't remember a ton of wallowing in the angst, it's much more actual horror.

I do remember really enjoying some vampire anthologies when I was doing my marathon read. See if you can get your hands on some sort of short story collection of vampire tales. I can't remember what the ones at our library were called, but there was one story that I still remember about vampire who was a photographer and was obsessed with trying to photograph the sunrise . . . which posed the obvious problem.

If anyone has read a more recent vampire novel that's not a romantasy and DOES wallow in the existential angst, please please let us know!

i love the way you expanded on the garden sm. if you have time, give witch hat atelier a read or more specifically, its cooking spin-off, witch hat atelier kitchen (check batoto for full volume). besides mouthwatering dishes, the spin-off introduces a lot of magical plants, fruits, animals and contraptions used for both cooking and casting spells and detailed descriptions of them, adding sm to the worldbuilding of WHA and i imagine that TP!Reader's garden also has similar ecosystem with equally fantastical plants and faunas. it's also great to hear that you confirmed that her realm is basically the fae realm in all but name (omg it scream tp!reader as titania, the queen of fairies aaahhhhh) so i hope my recommendation can help you expand the concept even further (❁´◡`❁).

Well now, I didn’t exactly expect [Trial Player]'s readers to be too interested in [The Hanging Gardens] when there has yet to be a chapter dedicated to it—especially when the little bits of info about it are scattered in the comments sections and random asks as of now.

Honestly, I’m not too confident in my current skills for worldbuilding. Even if I already have plans for the garden, I’m still not sure how many of them, especially the little details that might’ve been great build-up, that I can implement into the main story. But I’m glad to know that there are readers who would enjoy what we have now. 🥰

The Hanging Gardens is indeed a world of its own and a testament. To be honest, when I first started creating the place, my initial thought was the concept of ‘holy’ and the juxtapositions of the word; after all, the garden was introduced as a dungeon first. Many implications include TP!Reader’s powers: healing that can harm—warmth that can burn, and then the use of ‘lifeforce’, because if you really think about it, the butterflies are essentially eating living beings. I’m aiming for the chills one might feel after a long time of experiencing something—finding it normal, even beautiful—only to realize that all of it might’ve been a lie. There might be nothing behind that illusion, but the doubt still settles—that it might have been to hide. Then again, who knows? We’ve barely scratched the surface.

The mention of a tree is actually meant to be another foreshadowing. 🤫

So, in my quest to write the ‘balance’ I wanted, I didn’t realize I made the garden close to what most would describe as a fae realm until some readers pointed it out. LOL

ooh this is hard!! outside of general AUs like omegaverse or teenchesters, i have a few that i quite enjoy! i love reverse age gap/age swap (older sam, younger dean), boy king of hell sam, occasionally raised partially apart (and then still finding each other anyway and finding out they're brothers), swesson naturally!!, powers!Sam, and hmm i also like normal!chesters, where they don't hunt and are still Like That.

i would LOVE to write boy king of hell sam/consort or knight dean! i also think i've got more normal!chesters in my back pocket even after says he lives for me, and i've already got a sequel of swesson omegaverse in the works!!

ooh i have heard about that AU, but never got too much into those, as they were mostly destiel fics back in the day. i would LOVE any gen or wincest recs in that AU if you have them, anon!! i think it would be a lot of fun to explore how their senses of duty change as angels, and how their allegiance to each other is an explicitly Wrong thing, as they are bound specifically to god. in canon, it's weird, but it's always framed by the narrative as a holy/moral/good thing to have allegiance to family first.

Hi, hello! Binturong anon with a lot of word vomit here, so be warned. I just read your reply to my ask and I'm so happy right now! I was slightly worried for a bit that you didn't like my silly little story, but hearing that you put off posting it because you liked reading it made me feel warm inside. As for my Sol OCs, I do have a few that are specifically parallels, but I'm never quite happy with them. There's always so many good ideas and I sometimes end up finding other people's takes on them that are SO cool (like Rime!) or that have ideas I was thinking of and I'm suddenly paranoid that I'm ripping off somebody else's character...

I absolutely get the struggle of deciding things like species, there's so many cool animals to use and I freaking struggled deciding on ones for mine. The Knuckles one is probably one of the most complete actually, but unfortunately I cannot show you her or any others because I'm not an artist. 😞 So I just rotate them all in my head until I think "Nice" and put it down on a digital notepad. I'm always interested to see others create their takes on them though! I'm certainly interested in all of yours!

I never considered Team Dark, apart from my Sol Shadow, who's definitely the least thought out. There's so many other cool ones out there, so I never really bothered. The few I have, if you're curious, are supposed to be Knuckles and Amy, to round out Blaze and Marine's Classic Quartet basically. And also a different Sol Eggman, because Blaze's nemesis being Eggman in G-major feels like a kick in the face to both Blaze and the actual Eggman 😒. (I also have a Sol Big but she's technically a joke character. She's also really small. I gave her a dinosaur though, as all women deserve.)

Anyway, basically just wanted to let you know that Rime is cool and I'm going to be thinking about that reply for the foreseeable future. Have a good week!

(One day I promise...) Also! It seems like you have the descriptions of characters down even if you can't draw them, so you could always commission someone!!

I love the idea of Sol Amy too, I personally have 0 ideas for them so might not design my own version tbh. But having a Sol Classic 4 is super cute! You could have a lot of fun with their designs too, the way classic Amy looks pretty different from modern Amy. Sol Eggman too... I've just kinda retconned Nega and made him actually be from the Sol dimension idc about canon LOL I haven't thought about it too much.

Also TINY SOL BIG??? I'm in love that's so cute and such a fun alt version. With a dinosaur too FUCK yes.

I really love how imaginative people are when it comes to the Sol dimension, actually giving it more characters and lore! If sega won't give it love then at least we will 😤

Omg I love world building and slow burns sm. I rlly dislike when ppl say smth is slow burn but then they are already head over heels or sort of together by the 2nd chapter :/ LIKE I NEED THE YEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT!!

I feel like a story like pb has so much potential for world building bc it’s sci fi and bc it’s based off of a previous franchise. College or high school au’s can only have so much unless there’s a unique element to the world it’s in ya know.

Anyways can’t wait for what you have in store author :D, wishing that both sides of your pillow are cold tonight with this simmering heat we have going on (unless it’s cold where u live then I mean the opposite lol)

I have noticed a trend in slow burns that I either loathe or love. The will-they, won't-they method. When it's written well and believable, I really do enjoy it. When it's the idiots in love version... it's very hit or miss. Again, depends on the writer and how they've set it up.

Then there's nothing slow burn about it other than weird misunderstandings that shouldn't happen. It can be really fun sometimes, and other times it just feels tedious. Or toxic. Toxic relationships painting with rose colored glasses is a really common thing in fandom that I personally don't care for.

I love writing toxic relationships. They're interesting to dive into and even more interesting to talk about the nuances of emotions you feel when you're in one, but I want everyone to know it's not normal or healthy. It's like balancing on a see-saw in a way. Some people will always romanticize it while others will see that it's just writing and that it does not show a genuine and nice relationship.

I've seen that a lot in Pitch Black's fan base, especially when the family and pregnancy stuff started being talked about. I didn't care for how much people fantasized about Jungkook being so aggressive and controlling over his partner. A partner who wouldn't like that behavior and deserves better.

I want this to be believable and world building is the only way to do that, character development is the only way to do that, and patience is the only way to do that. I love slow burns because I can take my time and do my characters justice. I want yearning. I want strong bonds. I want love that feels like love.

I enjoy really short and sweet one shots, I love writing a good insecure character who takes time to open up, I love reading other people do that as well. I like short and sweet. Pitch Black is not one of those things, and I'm really happy I have an audience for it that understands why and is just happy to read what I'm happy writing. It feels really nice!

“whoever builds the worst house has to buy everyone drinks, and miyuki’s gonna judge after he’s finished practice,” kuramochi laughed as he carefully built his house in minecraft with ryousuke, haruichi, and sawamura. while they were all in off-season for baseball, the three agreed to be featured in kuramochi’s stream for the day. he said it was for content, but he actually really liked gaming with them.

“lucky for me, i’m the best at building, so all of you guys can suck it.” sawamura boasted, looking like he was building a place underground. kuramochi rolled his eyes at the camera and looked at his chat.

Warnings: claustrophobia, anxiety, panic attacks, bring stuck in an elevator ( worst nightmare for me)

Summary: Chris and Y/n were leaving the mall to go to the parking lot when her worst fears come true.

Everyone in your family knew you anxiety over many things one of those things was small spaces i.e elevators that you had a deathly fear of getting stuck in one from that little nugget of anxiety it manifested into claustrophobia. Which at the best of times didn’t help at all mix that with a panic attack and we’ll see what happens.

Chris and yourself were having some quality time together going room shopping for some new decorations since you decided you wanted to change up your room a little he was completely down with helping you with that.

Already bring on edge with normal anxiety from how busy it was at the mall only amplified your claustrophobia and Chris could see that I mean you were basically finished anyways, one last step was going in an elevator down to the parking lot, which we all know you hated.

Knowingly Chris was hugging you when you got in the elevator to keep you grounded for the short trip knowing how bad you could get. Suddenly all you hear was a thud, nothing was moving, nothing was opening. You were stuck. Your worst nightmare.

Panic bubbled more than before, the claustrophobic feeling came in full effect, Chris was still hugging you, reassuring you were okay and that you were both safe and making it paramount you knew someone was coming to help them.

All he got as a reply was a whimper and the soft sound of crying, it pulled on his heart, he started to rock you gently, telling your brain to ‘shhh’ the noise away. Magically it worked, it usually always didn’t he’d usually have to try another one of your therapy techniques but he wasn’t complaining nor were you.

A couple minutes later the bing noise of the elevator started again and soon enough you were in the safety of the parking lot, proud of you Chris pulled you in to another hug for one last time before walking to the car reminding you it’s okay, and that you were safe.

He was your safety blanket.

Your blanket from your thoughts.

alright SO i went overboard with this request bc i just really wanted to write abt bakusquad tickles and this gave me the PERFECT excuse, so this is basically my hc for the first time they ever had a tickle fight!!

and before i get into the bakusquad thing, i do have my personal fav tickle methods >:) (my mood has drastically switched to ler after writing this so that’s where im at with this method LMAOO) i would love to have a lee with their arms over their head, bound or not, and just. hover. my fingers over their torso. i love good old fashioned anticipation, it really gets the nerves goin LMAOO so just any kind of tickling that involves teasing and anticipation is 100% my favorite, hands down.

okay SO back to the squad :)

when they first became a Friend Group TM, tickling was not yet apart of their relationship

the first time it was introduced into the group was during a hangout where sero and denki were playing video games while the others were with them doing their own stuff

but denki is a little fuckin cheater when it comes to games, and sero is not someone who’s just gonna let that slide without consequence

so without hesitation sero just pushes denki down onto his back (since they were sitting on the floor anyways) and just digs into his ribs like there’s no tomorrow

denki is a LOUD squealer and cackler, and quite the kicker, so this immediately caught the attention of everybody else in the room (which was just the squad but still)

“SEROHOHO!! ahahaaAHAAHAAAA NOHOHO!! NO TIHIHICKLES!! BAD SEROHOHO!! BAHAHAD!!”

kirishima was SO excited pls, this boy has been WAITING for tickling to finally make its way to their group, cause i personally hc that he’s very nervous abt making others upset with tickling so he Has to make sure they like it or are at least okay with it before he can tickle someone

he starts shoving at bakugou excitedly, who’s just looking down at the cackling mess that used to be kaminari with a fake annoyed look on his face, but eventually kiri just cant take it anymore and has to join in by launching himself over there and lifting denki up to a sitting position, locking his arms under his so he can’t fight sero back

at that point, mina really wanted to get involved somehow, it just looked like sm fun!! but sero and kiri already had denki, and she didn’t wanna overdo it…..

….and then she saw bakugou…sitting there…now alone

was he going to kill her? yes. definitely. absolutely.

but god was it gonna be worth it to just hear him fucking laugh for once

but she’s gotta be subtle. she’s gotta plan this out…

..fuck it shes too impatient

mina hops over excitedly and plops herself right down next to bakugou, grinning at him like last nights supper, and bakugou…

…bakugou feels himself get…nervous

it’s only for a second. but he felt it, and goddamnit if he’s gonna let some extra who is definitely not his fucking friend make him feel like that again

“don’t fucking try it, pinky! i’ll blow your ass all the way to timbuktu and back!”

she thinks for a moment.

then she giggles.

then she strikes

mina moves fast and rough, like one would in a fight because it’s bakugou and she has to, and she was able to get in three good squeezes to his sides when she heard him wheeze

he wheezed!!

she revelled in her accomplishment…but her victory didn’t last long

bakugou pushed her off him immediately, her back landing on the other end of the couch with a surprised gasp, quickly crawling over her and immediately digging his fingers into the sides of her belly

mina SCREAMS, like she’s trying to fight back the laughs with pure loud unadulterated sound, before his hands move down maybe three inches lower to her hips and she just crumbles into a fit of wild laughs and squeals

“thought you could get the upper hand on me, huh, dumbass?! think again!!” bakugou sneers, his heart racing because oh shit she got really fucking close to making me laugh for a second. “i’m not even ticklish, but it sure looks like one of us is”

mina is screaming through her cackles, and at this point the three boys on the floor had already stopped their tickle fest to watch them because holy shit. bakugou is tickling mina right now.

bakugou katsuki is in a tickle fight

and he’s winning. of course he’s winning. he’s fucking bakugou, he wins at EVERYTHING

but then they hear a tiny bit of coherency through the screams and cackles of mina ashido, and it changes fucking everything

“h-HEHEHEE!! H-HE’S LYIHIHING! AHAAHA STAHAAP NAHAAAA!! HE’S TIHIHICKLIHIHSH!! HEHELP M-MEEHEHE AHAHAAHA-!!”

bakugou doesn’t stop tickling, he cant, his whole fucking life is at stake here!! or- well- at least his dignity, but that costs about the same as a human life in his books

but sero kiri and denki are all overcome with the most powerful feeling they’d ever felt

they’re gonna take bakugou down. together.

they jump up and rush to bakugous sides, all internally trying to decide how to go about it first, before kirishima just gets impatient and shoves his fingers up into bakugous exposed armpits, thanks to him tickling mina

bakugou practically barks, lurching forward trying to shove his arms down to his sides as he starts squirming and twisting to get those fucking hands out of there damnit!!!

he tried to stay stable, he tried so hard to be strong, but..

..but jesus fuck it tickled so much

sero and denki grin at each other when they realize mina was right, he’s fucking ticklish, and sero latches a hand onto bakugous side to pinch and squeeze, while denki shoves all his fingers right into bakugous neck, making the blonde screech and scrunch up

bakugou was down in seconds

pinned on his back against the couch, squirming and writhing and cackling despite himself

he couldn’t help it!! there were fingers EVERYWHERE, poking and prodding and squeezing and scribbling god the scribbling was going to make him fucking combust

not the mention that they were all TALKING. no. no, not just talking.

they were teasing him

“awww, looks like we’ve got a little liar on our hands, huh guys?” mina coos, scribbling those EVIL nails against his bare foot, her whole body weight against his shins so he couldn’t even kick out and stop her

“dude, you’re so ticklish!! you should’ve told us before, it’s so manly!” kirishima beams, his praise turning bakugous cheeks and ears a deep shade of red

“oh cmon, kiri, you know kacchans ego is way too big to admit he’s weak to a little tickling,” denki used a baby voice when he said that stupid fucking word and bakugou thought he was going to die

“n-nohoho!! i-it’s- ahaHAHAA GAHAHA NOHOHO!! I’M N-NOHOHOT!! STAHAHAPP!!” he knew he sounded like an idiot, he was fucking incoherent for christs sake, but he had to try to defend himself

“dude, seriously, did you not expect us to tickle you when you got mina? that’s like, the main rule of a tickle fight; you tickle someone, and you’re gonna get tickled, man,” sero chuckled, his fingers wiggling into bakugous ribs, making the blonde throw his head back with a guffaw

“you know that means i’ve totally gotta get you back, right?” denki side-eyes sero with a grin, his fingers now scribbling against the shell of bakugous pink ears

“yeah yeah, in due time. right now, we’re on a mission,” sero could feel his heart pick up at the threat, butterflies being born in the pit of his tummy just at the thought of being in bakugous position

“heck yeah we are!! mission title: make bakugou snort!” kirishima laughed as his finger spidered over bakugous bouncing belly

“n-nohohoho!! ahahaa gohohod-!! i ca-ahAHAaha-!! i c-cahahan’t!! nohohoho!”

“you cant? cant what, blasty? cant snort, or cant take the tickling?” mina smiled, basically just playing with his toes at this point because he very clearly couldn’t stand it and it was just too cute not to watch

“kk-kahAHAHA!! i dohon’t knohahaha-!! it tihihickles!! f-fuhuhuck y-yOHOHOO g-guhuhuys!!” bakugou was flushed all the way down to his chest in embarrassment and fluster, the noises he was making only adding to his torment now that his friends were openly laughing at the sounds

kirishima chuckled, giving him one good vibrating claw into his belly to make him howl in laughter, before backing off

everyone else backed off with him, smiles etched into their faces as they watched bakugou curl into himself, giggling as he caught his breath and protected his poor belly and sides with his arms

denki giggled, patting him on the shoulder and only giggling harder at the fact that it made him flinch

“aww, poor kacchan. did the tickle monster getcha, buddy?” denki teased, now feeling zero fear when he heard the boy growl under him

“cmon, cutie, you’ve gotta get up now! me, you, denki, and kiri have to tickle the snot out of sero before he gets away!” mina poked him in the side, smiling when he jumped with a giggly whine

once bakugou recovered, both sero and kirishima were properly tickled like the rest of them had been, because fair is fair <3

sero is quite the begger when he’s being tickled, constantly bargaining and pleading for them to either stop or move to another spot

“pleheheasee!! ahaaha- shihihit! ahahanything!! i-i’ll- ahahaa- i’ll gihihive y-you ahahny-THIHIHAHA!! nahahaa-!!”

and when they were tickling kiri, they found out pretty quickly that he is far more sensitive to gentle tickles than rough squeezy ones

so they pretty much murdered him with soft tickles, their nails scribbling all over his body in a way that had his voice screechy and pitchy and downright fucking adorable

“EHEHEEeheheee!! gaahahaha nohoho!! it tihihickles!! guhuhuyss-!! ohoho gohohod-!!”

so YEAH that was longer than i intended it to be but that’s pretty much how i think their first tickle fight went :) and trust me after this it was basically daily tickles from there on out, SOMEONE in the group is gonna get tickled at any given point
