I think if Cas had actually been behind the door in 15x19—instead of Lucifer—Dean might've been completely giddy, but lost for words.

The excitement, the deep breath, and that smile he has as he opens the door—those are signs that he’s anticipating something meaningful, something that’s been a long time coming. But the shock and relief of hearing Cas’s voice, especially after everything that’s happened, would have been overwhelming for Dean.

You knocked gently on his door. You felt awkward standing outside in such formal clothes, especially because you were particularly exposed. You pulled your small coat tighter around your body, trying to hide your revealed skin.

When the door opened, Ikki pulled you into his arms. You leaned away to see him dressed to the nines, and wondered why he insisted on dressing up when all your dates are in private. He gave you a peck on the lips before releasing you, and you finally got a glance at his place. Everything was spotless—no stray shirts or clutter. His bed was even made. “No peeking. That’s for later,” he winked, then placed a hand on your back to guide you to the dining room.

The room was a romantic gold. At his small table were two plates with elegant dishes. You weren’t sure how exactly he had pulled it off, but you weren’t going to ask. A magician never reveals his secrets. 

He pulled the chair out for you, and watched with loving eyes as you smiled back up at him. He quickly seated himself across from you and held up his wine glass. “To my one true love.” You shook your head, and held up your glass. “To us and to our future.” 

The clink of the glasses was a promise. A promise of eternal love, everlasting and unending, that you would never break.

Blu team toxic yuri

i don't want true blu to be ship centric, that's not what this story is about, but i do think often about how i wrote sniper and spy interacting. they sit together on the far end of the "most affected by being clones" scale, after all. spy has very little that keeps him rooted to this world except his son and his teammates; even then, the way they regard him and his memory issues maddens him.

it'd be nice, for once, to be reminded that he's more than what goes on in his head; that he's got a body that other people can touch and hold and love.

while this doesn't make it inherently toxic, i don't think he loves sniper. i don't think sniper loves him, either, but that's just another reason that they're more alike than they think.

if this were really ever to happen between them, they probably wouldn't speak of it again.

Batman grunts a greeting at the boy Selena has introduced as "Danny" as if it's totally normal for a kid to be hanging out on a rooftop with her, kicking his legs out above the edge as if he's not 20 stories up.

Selena shares an equally amused glance with Danny that has Batman scowling harder than his usual as the boy gets up, stretching out from his hunch to reveal a 6 foot 2 build not unlike Jason's.

"Wow, spot on," Danny whistles, grinning at Selena. "I owe you a twenty."

"Darling," Selena purrs, hand finding purchase on his upper bicep. "I never exaggerate."

"Looks like Catwoman's got a new scratching post, B," Nightwing cackles in his comm, which is probably why Batman finds himself gritting out a--

"Little young for you, isn't he?"

The kid--in a hoodie and jeans, seriously, where did Selena find this guy--stares at him incredulously before his mouth stretches into an uncomfortably wide grin, revealing fairly sharp canines. He strides forward.

"What can I say, Mr. The Batman," he says, placing a hand on the man's shoulder. He must be around the same age as Dick. "I've got a thing for powerful women in black."

"See you for dinner tomorrow Lena," he says, hand lifted in farewell as he heads for the edge. He pushes himself over the wall with one hand, dropping over.

Batman clocks Selena's lack of alarm and doesn't flinch. Thirteen seconds later, there's no resounding thud when Danny's body would've met the pavement and she's still smirking at him.

"No metas in Gotham," he growls.

Selena throws her head back and laughs. "If I see any, I'll be sure to call. Now," she kisses his cheek, "I better go. I've got a date tomorrow."
