After I made that post, I realised that Jin technically hasn't lived his part of the second chapter, not properly, and that he will do so now that he's out of the army. So, you’re right, the third chapter will begin next year.

We do not know if he was flying that plane in s2. No one says his name. Chim just used him as a direct line to air support. And even then, that plane is not a commercial jet and those require different licenses. We only know for sure that he flies helicopters.

I'm really glad for your thoughts and optimism but there are people saying 'oh akshually Yuuji is not stronk, Sukuna wash weak becaush of meegumi fighting and reshishting from inshide.' Yes I deliberately wrote like this because after today's ch I was so happy as a Yuuji fan and seeing this reaction pissed me off. I'm tired of fandom underplaying Yuuji and his feats and megumi being oh so special yet fucking again.

Yeah, I've seen that too. There's the ones who probably expected a new technique to pop up and who are disappointed that Yuuji "only" punches yet again, and then there are the ones who seem to have taken the previous punch more seriously than it was and see him having some sort of spiritual awakening. It was a bit hard to tell last chapter, but Sukuna didn't punch straight through his chest or stomach, the force of the punch just ripped his back. Yuuji didn't use reverse cursed technique, his body is just naturally more resistant. If he used RCT that would mean that it somehow "healed" his jacket but not his missing finger. I think Yuuji did step up his game a bit, but it's not some crazy big power-up.

Honestly, what annoys me more than the Megumi talk is the constant comparison to Sukuna. People see Yuuji do an incredible feat and go "oh it's because of Sukuna, he's rubbing of on him" "he's gonna whip out his own Cleave any second now". Literally call him a second Sukuna or a Sukuna clone (that doesn't even work since the dark hair clearly shows that he has inherited parts of Kaori & Kenjaku's DNA too...like it's always the case with parents and children). Just let him be his own character jfc. And if he's supposed to be a stronger Sukuna then only in a very vague sense, not literally all of Sukuna's characteristics and abilities but amped up. They don't even look that similar beyond the pink hair (Takako has pink hair too, is she also related to Sukuna??) and their personalities and fighting styles are also very different.

In regards to Megumi, I actually really liked that Yuuji managed to land his first real hit on Sukuna by working together with Megumi. They both want autonomy over their bodies. Besides, one of Yuuji's specialities is to always get up after being beaten down - even if he sometimes doesn't want to - and with that tenacity he eventually managed to hurt Sukuna a little bit. And Sukuna acknowledged his skills before Megumi really started to make a difference. His strength, speed and flexibility don't have anything to do with anyone else. Hell, they don't even necessarily have something to do with Kenjaku. Kenjaku's experiment just laid the basics, Yuuji is the one who continuously improved upon them. He was mainly forced to by outside circumstances, but it's still his accomplishment. Without that he would be an incredible athlete, but not a good jujutsu sorcerer.

The line from nothing new by taylor swift “will you still want me when i’m nothing new?” feels very emmy. The whole song in my opinion feels like emmy and can be connected back to multiple aspects of her life. However, I feel like this particular line is a question she would ask will. She keeps her life very private from will bc she is scared of tainting his viewpoint of the world and bringing baggage into his life. The question is when he finds out would he still want her in the same way?

Hey. You know, I haven't thought of nothing new as an Emmy song. It felt like it matched with another character better, but I think I see where you're coming from.

I feel like it goes along with the second verse (?) from midnight rain, where she talks about peering through a window, going through a portal and time traveling. I always saw that as Emmy imagining their life together, seeing it playing out before her eyes. In her mind, Will would eventually get over the novelty of their relationship. Having finally got the girl, the fun challenge would be over. He would get frustrated that she didn't want to and often times could do what he wanted, and would leave her because she ruined his fun.

9. Do they give tough love or gentle love most often? Which do they prefer to receive?

It depends on what point in the timeline we’re at! I think Bella is generally a gentle love kind of person, she’s thoughtful and quiet with others, very soft spoken and kind, intimate. She doesn’t like being yelled at and figures others don’t either, so she’ll soften her responses considerably. She appreciates when someone is gentle and soft with her. 

However, I think there’s a lot of changes as time goes on in the cycle. Sammy is very blunt, and frustrated. He doesn’t entirely trust her at first, all he knows is that his lord claims she’s necessary to keep around, so he does. And he’s rough with her, he’s not patient, never has been. He doesn’t adjust his behavior, unless there’s prompting from Jack when he’s too harsh. He does eventually figure out how to be gentle with her, but he’s still very blunt and speaks his mind, and I think she doesn’t just get used to it: she appreciates it. Bella spent a long time getting yelled at that what she was doing was all wrong without any real feedback on how to fix it. When Sammy is harsh, she’s learned it comes from a place of caring, he’s frustrated BECAUSE he cares, and he’ll give her more honest information about how to make something better or better protect herself than say, Joey would when criticizing her boards. It no longer feels like she’s being spared when someone is trying to be nice, he’s got a logic she can start to understand. The two figure out something of a language together, it’s honestly really sweet. 

By the time she runs into Richard and starts to get to know him, I think she’s picked up a lot of that tough love and will be a lot more blunt with him, when she’s not being overly cryptic and a thorn in his side. She kind of is all over the place, trying to figure out what’s gonna work best for them.

15. What’s the most obvious difference between their behavior at home, at work, at school, with friends, and when they’re alone?

Most obvious difference? Well, pre-ink, I think it was the people pleaser mask. At work and when Joey’s around, Bella is very much in people-pleaser mode, she wants to either keep her head down and slink away, or impress by going above and beyond. She is so desperate to be a perfect fit and do a good job that, a lot of the time, she stifles herself and tries to hide the things that are uniquely her. And who can blame her? Despite her dad’s best efforts, she was led to believe that the things she contributed weren’t valuable or wanted. When you get her alone, she stops trying to adapt to what she thinks others need and will just, be herself. 

It’s interesting how this has shifted. Throughout Depths, she starts learning to be herself more. Her perspective is different from the rest of the cyclebreakers and other ink creatures, she’s a breath of fresh air, and there’s an inherent value in simply being Bella with this group. Her approach to things is to try and understand every angle she can, and eventually she'll find one that others haven't tapped or tried again and find success with it. 

46. Are they a listener or a talker? If they’re a listener, what makes them talk? If they’re a talker, what makes them listen? 

I don't think I can categorize her as one or the other, she gets to be a pretty even mix of both! But at the beginning, she's definitely a listener first, it comes with the people pleasing. Let the room get quiet, and people will eventually open up and talk to fill the void. But it goes beyond self preservation, she's genuinely interested in what people have to say. During her time in the ink realm, she's grown to enjoy conversations with the others. They have such interesting stories, they come from so many walks of life, so many experiences, she could drink in their stories forever. And that's how you get her talking, get her engaged in a story and she'll want to know everything, maybe tell a few of her own. Doesn't hurt to give her a little positive feedback either, let her know she's safe to share and she'll get chatty.

By the time we get to Richard the Keeper though, I think she's gotten to be more of a talker. But I think that was probably noticeable given how I write dialogue in that. X'''D Bella has transitioned from a scared newbie to an experienced veteran of the studio, and she'd like to think she knows best, but there are more angles to consider than what her knowledge scope consists of. She's got a lot to say about what she's learned to newcomers and inexperienced monsters, not wanting them to learn the hard way like she did. But you get her to listen by presenting information she didn't have before, or a theory about new possibilities. It's part of why she and Richard are such an interesting duo, this is one of the few things they have in common.

I have. Sorry this took a while to answer, I wanted to wait for a day to let things settle and to give people time to block the tags before I go into any details.

I'm really excited to see Yuuji in action in the next chapters. Choso already described him as a Demon God shortly after Shibuya and there he was just fighting against regular curses. He's continuously progressing. We never really got to see his current skills.

Against Yuuta he was holding back because he was struggling with the thought if he even deserved to live and he didn't have a concrete goal beyond eating Sukuna's fingers at that either. While I don't think he could have won against Yuuta either way, it definitely resulted in Yuuji not showing all he can do. Against Higuruma he was debuffed. So now we could see why Kenjaku has such high hopes for him. His hate for Sukuna is spurring him on even more. I'm not sure he could actually kill Sukuna and because of Megumi he probably wouldn't even want to, but the fight will likely serve to push his abilities and mindset even further. It's the first time he can actually inflict bodily harm on Sukuna. Must feel pretty good. I'm also impressed by how little damage Cleave did. Yes, Megumi was holding it back a bit, but I don't think it's all him because otherwise Sukuna would have noticed earlier that something was up. This is the same technique that cut Nanako into cubes before she knew what was happening and for Yuuji to only get some cuts from it is crazy.

Speaking of Sukuna, he's not really bringing his A game. He hasn't killed a single person, not even some random people with the Nue attack (to be fair, Tokyo 1 is pretty empty). I also wonder if he wants to fight against Angel at her full power or if something else is holding him back in regards to her because she was right in his arms. He could have taken out a significant threat by just biting off her head, but instead he rips Hana's arm off, which must shock her sure, but there isn't anything keeping her from just reattaching it as far as we know. I'm also looking forward to seeing how this will change Hana's world view. Her rosey belief in fate must be deeply shaken and I doubt she will be as trusting as she was before. A harsh wake-up call to reality. And to have that happen through "Megumi" must make it even worse.

Also, bit hypocritical of Sukuna to say Kenjaku or their methods are disgusting and then turn around and spout such deep profound words as "the weak deserve to suffer". I'm sure there's some backstory to it were Sukuna started out relatively weak and only found happiness once he became strong, but that doesn't make the mindset of weak=bad, strong=good more interesting. His definition of weak and strong isn't even that nuanced. But I never expected more from his character, he's there to cause death and chaos and he's doing a good job with that. I just think it's funny that he hates Kenjaku.
