Jaskier's loved ones are mad at Geralt post the mountain. They want to get back at him, but Jaskier has made it clear that he doesn't want real harm done to Geralt or his reputation.

The eventual solution Jaskier's loved ones come up with is to put out a contract. They hire another witcher to yell at and/or punch Geralt in the face.

Now, Geralt was neither blind nor foolish. He’d seen the message board. And if he was being honest with himself, he knew he’d been in the wrong—he never should have said those things to Jaskier.

“So, you know why I’m here?” Eskel asked.

“Yes,” Geralt replied, keeping his words short. One-word answers were still the most comfortable for him.

“You really should apologize to your bard,” Eskel said.

“You’re right,” Geralt admitted.

“This isn’t personal,” Eskel warned.

Geralt barely had time to brace himself before Eskel pulled back his hand and struck.

hiii i hope this doesnt bother you but i have a question!! how do i stop putting the void on a pedestal? i have entered it once by relaxing but i didnt realise. now i cant do it again because my brain keeps telling me that the process must be hard instead of easy, what should i do?

I can definitely help with this one lol. I used to put the void on a pedestal too. I had been trying for years before I got any success so I know what it can feel like.

You have to know that the void is not some place you're going or reaching. It's just you. It's just pure (4D) awareness. You are pure awareness. You can induce it anytime in any way because it's you!

You're just being you. Since you can induce it whenever and however you want, why would you give something so easy to do so much importance? Your brain is lying to you. Let that thought pass by. It's not even a process. It is you. You are it. There's no difference. Looks how easy it is to induce when you didn't even have to try. Just relax and do it again.

What helps the most is knowing that whether you induce the void or not, you will still experience your desires in the physical world because you are pure awareness anyways. You don't have to induce it to get what you want.

Induce pure awareness for the fun of it. Don't depend so much on a state of consciousness because you already are it 24/7.

you may have answered this before but: thoughts on the catholic jason hc?

Alright so my answer is in two parts. Me personally, I have a complex, very ambivalent relationship with Catholicism as a practice (I won’t go in the details because that’s personal but it’s simultaneously a large frame that very heavily influenced my life, some elements that I in parts worked to deconstruct and a lifestyle I was kept removed from -very vague but yeah, a lot of complex emotions). It’s not something that I’m necessarily interested in exploring with Jason’s character (there are certain types of catharsis that you get through different characters, and I don’t necessarily like the emotional freedom I find in my fandom experience wrt Jason to be associated with the emotions and frame I associate to Catholicism, if that makes sense? So I don’t personally like catholic!JT as in, the headcanon of Jason being catholic, esp in practice, but also like totally respect your vision, the way you experience and conceptualize the culture belongs to you (generally speaking I don’t tend to consider headcanons to be fundamentally bad or wrong since it’s a very personal way to experience the story, even if it contradicts canon, I’m like it’s a confrontation of your personal experience with your idea of canon (ie the comics you’ve read or not, etc.) that I don’t have access to, I don’t know what’s going on in your head, so I try not to judge headcanons, just evaluate whether I share them or not. There are some exceptions where I will make assumptions based on the hc and bear a judgement on that, ie if someone is hc-ing poc characters as white, though I still try to tone that down (hey what do I know maybe they saw the way the character is drawn in comics (esp with how art often tends to whitewash characters). Anyway, I digress but yeah, fully respect the headcanon.)

But, the way it does this is by seeking the desire most associated with the person’s shame.

Thus, the desire revealed when Geralt is hit by the spell is how he wants to snuggle Jaskier.

Geralt and Jaskier had been sharing a secluded cabin by the coastline for the past few days.

“This is perfect,” Jaskier murmured, a contented smile on his lips as he lay with his head resting on Geralt’s chest. The warmth between them, the quiet intimacy—it was everything he had ever dreamed of.

“It is, my little lark,” Geralt replied, his voice softer than usual. Yet, something nagged at the back of his mind. He couldn’t quite remember why they were here. Before he could dwell on it, a sudden flash of light split the room—a portal tearing open.

“Well, well, so this is what the mighty White Wolf’s greatest desire looks like,” Yennefer drawled, stepping through with a knowing smirk.

Geralt tensed. “What are you doing here?” he demanded, but as he turned to Jaskier, his breath caught. The bard wasn’t moving. He wasn’t even reacting. It was as if he were frozen in time.

“To get you,” Yennefer said simply, her gaze flicking to Jaskier. “You know this isn’t real.”

Geralt’s throat tightened. “I—I—” He struggled for words, his mind racing. Then it hit him. The warlock. The curse.

This place, this moment—none of it was real. It was his heart’s deepest longing made tangible, a dream spun from desire.

“I know,” he whispered, his voice barely audible. His fingers traced absent patterns on Jaskier’s shoulder as he remembered the mountain, the sharp words, the distance between them. “This is the only way I can have him.”

Yennefer’s expression softened, if only slightly. “We have to go, Geralt.” Her voice was gentler now, but urgent. “While you’ve been lost in your little fantasy, the real Jaskier has gone missing.”

why do you headcanon adaine as having adhd? (not meant rudely, genuinely want to hear your thoughts/hcs!!)

But also because it’s, quite frankly, impossible for me not to. A huge thing that I noticed recurring for Adaine is her father bringing up that she doesn't “apply herself”. If she applied herself to her studies, she would get into Hudol, she would understand research, she wouldn’t need to rely on practical casting, she would understand theory, and on and on. She doesn’t apply herself, she doesn’t try—and this is a huge thing for us ADHD folks. People accuse us of not applying ourselves all the time— and we do it to ourselves, too. And so I think Adaine, similarly to Siobhan Thompson (who also has ADHD)  got through her Hudol schoolwork by being clever, and quick, and good with words and putting things together last minute. And she did do well—but oftentimes it made her feel like she wasn’t actually trying. If she could apply herself, get her work done early, if she could study, she would be better, do better, be more like her peers. But she couldn’t, and that felt lazy, and her father thought she was lazy, and she couldn’t study. 

Adaine was terrible with the theory behind magic, terrible at explaining what somatic gestures translated to what aspects of magic, she couldn’t calculate the ratios of material components necessary. But when she actually had to do the magic, she was wonderful. It was just intuitive to her, she knew what felt right and it worked nearly perfectly. And yet she didn’t have to study or practice it over and over again, it came so naturally and effortlessly. So she must be doing something wrong, right? Because she is excelling where her classmates take more time to work and failing what is basic to everyone else. And she doesn’t know how to study.

She’s not good enough, and she knows it. And then! And then she goes to Aguefort, and for the first time in her life, the way she learns and thinks about magic is important. It’s valued. It’s critical. 

And her father thinks it means she’s not really trying.

Just—a character getting critiqued for the way she learns being different from the norm? A character who feels like the sort of thing she’s good at isn’t as important as the things she’s bad at, despite it being equally if not more important? A character who failed a test despite knowing all the material because it was presented in a format she couldn’t hack, it was too much and she did try to study but it was not enough, not the way other people did? How can I not see all of that as signs of adhd?

call me crazy but what abt raven!Hobie x owl!r

like, I was nerding a bit and I found out that owls and ravens don’t have a good relationship, basically having this extreme natural rivalry. But what abt forbidden love? Like with the sun and the moon, pirate and siren, princes and a normal human, and then here owl and raven

idk why but I imagine Hobie being a raven with a lil scar on the beak, and when he’s in his human form then he has this big black coat and a scar on his face or brow.

And then there’s R, an owl, a symbol of wisdom and intelligence, adored by humans due to their minds, all in white feathers and no specks of dirt, the complete opposite of Hobie, standing there in their human form and just staring at their lover natural rival that they’re supposed to hate with all their guts for stealing and making their families and nations life worse.

But the way they met each other?

They met on a foggy morning, Hobie was flying with a successful catch of food when he saw a curled up ball of feathers on a high building.

He had a choice, go back home and surprise his family and community, maybe even make them proud… or go and inspect what’s going on down there

After several seconds he landed on the ground, some feather poofing out as he transformed into his human form, crouching down to see you, a precious owl that had a broken wing

He thought for a second about what to do, what he should say or if he should just leave, but instead, he gently cradled your animal form into his big palms and started looking, gently cleaning the feathers with his fingers, touches tender in order not to hurt you further.

Afterwards your bond only grew, the meet-ups taking place at the exact spot he found you, your white blouse always contrasting with his black attire

no one is gonna ever accept their relationship, but no one’s gotta find it out if the only times they meet is in the foggy morning where Hobie gifts his trinkets and maybe food to r, they just sit next to each other, his long coat draped over r shoulder as they rest their head on his shoulder and count the minutes before they have to depart again.
