the guardian, surprisingly, has been one of the best western news outlets to cover the genocide.

every day they have pretty damning firsthand reports and they have had a lot of opinion pieces from people who actually represent interests in Gaza. and articles with many, many doctors and their firsthand experiences.

but I did just read an entire lengthy article that was just interviews with volunteer doctors from Europe and the US coming back talking about all the children who came in to their stations with definitely Israeli, definitely sniper, definitely deliberate, shots to the head.

Hey all, you know how internet searches suck now? When the results are awful, full-of-AI, death-of-the-internet levels of bad?

Start appending date constraints to your searches - "before:2023".

My results have gone from 90% AI bullshit to ~60% usable - which frankly at this point is a huge improvement.

tbh the fact that cats purr was an unnecessary bonus we don't always acknowledge. they're already cute and baby and little and soft and make silly noises and do funny shit. but they also like to cuddle and make a soothing pleasant noise to indicate they are happy when they cuddle you? huge. huge for the human race.
